Maybe You're My Love!

(Sorry if this sucks a bit; I'm not very good with starters, haha. ^-^; )

School wasn't something that Kaoru wanted to deal with this early in the morning, especially since he didn't want to go straight to pretending that he was head-over-heels in some kind of forbidden relationship with Hikaru. Maybe that was why he had slipped out of his twin's presence, even if he knew it wouldn't last long since classes would start soon. Not that Kaoru was overly eager to go to class, anyways, but, if he didn't go to class, then it would be difficult to attend the club meeting. As much as it annoyed and amused him that all the girls thought he and Hikaru were really in love, he just extremely enjoyed spending time with his friends. As he walked, he soon took note of somebody he didn't quite recognize. The familiar boy's uniform made it easier to approach the fellow student, because it meant he was less likely to get swamped by fangirls. "Hey," he greeted once he was close enough, though he wasn't sure what else to say to the stranger.

Kimi was already beginning to regret agreeing to her older brother Kyoya's suggestion to come back home to go to Ouran High School. Having been in America the past year, she was, admittedly, nervous about returning. Kyoya and she had kept in touch through emails throughout her absence and she had occasionally emailed with her other brothers and their father. She was closest to Kyoya, though, since they were closer in age than their other siblings. Plus, she understood the stress their father put on Kyoya with all of his expectations. It was a stressful life for any Ootori, though, which was part of the reason she was regretting her return already. At least she might get to see her old friends, though, she realized as she made her way into the school with Kyoya; she just hoped that her friends, the Hitachiin twins, hadn't forgotten about her.

To be fair, Kumo hated anything to do with school. Sure, she was smart... But it was just the people. If she went to school by herself, she would love it. No gossiping teenagers who glare at her with looks that could kill. She was looking out one of the many windows of Ouran Academy. Kumo had either two choices. Wear that disgusting yellow frock that they call a 'dress' and look completely out of place, or wear the suitable male uniform and feel completely safe and confident. It was not a hard choice. Hearing a voice, Kumo looked over her shoulder and saw a bright haired male standing there. Kumo hasn't talked since she arrived here an hour ago, she knew her feminine voice would give away her act. Clearing her throat, she opened her mouth. "Hey, Kaoru right?" She saw him earlier with an identical male, maybe they were twins, but she could tell them apart. They didn't sound the same. Turning her full body to the male, she crossed her arms. With a small smile, she looked around, hoping nobody else heard her talk.



The teen was looking for his twin, as he managed to get out of the grasp of all the girls of Ouran. He decided, maybe Kaoru went to their special place. Well, it wasn't just their special place. When Kyoya brought his sibling Kimi to the school, this is where they first met, and this is where Hikaru and Kaoru became good friends with her. Sadly, she moved to America. Hikaru never forgot, though. She was the only girl who saw Hikaru for... Well, Hikaru, and not some twin living in his twin's shadow. As much as Hikaru hates to admit it, people swarm over Kaoru more than him. They just seem more attracted to them, but Hikaru didn't mind. He wouldn't want a relationship with any girls here, they would probably be fake and just try to get close to him. Walking to the fountain in the courtyard, he yawned and looked around. He saw a flash of black hair from around the corner, as he frowned. "Kimi?" He asked out, waiting for a response. It probably wasn't her, Kyoya didn't speak about her coming back.

Kaoru wasn't sure what surprised him more: the fact that this girl knew that he was Kaoru and not Hikaru, as most people got them confused, or the fact that it was a girl who was talking to him. And she wasn't swarming all over him with fan-girly eyes and coos of how terrible she felt that he and Hikaru couldn't be truly together. But, then, he supposed he shouldn't be too surprised that it was a girl, despite the clothes. Haruhi dressed like a boy, too, after all. Once he recovered from his initial shock, he blinked and nodded quickly. "Uh, ah, yeah, that's me," he said after a moment before he grinned. Deciding against mentioning that he had mistaken the girl as a boy just moments before, he rubbed the back of his neck. Seeing her look around, he wondered if he had bothered her or if something was wrong. "Sorry, am I disturbing you or something?" he asked, a little nervous about the answer, honestly.

The last thing Kimi really expected was to hear such a familiar voice calling out to her. Hikaru, she thought, because she would recognize his voice anywhere. There were subtle differences in the twins' voices, in only the manner that very few people actually noticed it - and even fewer people could actually identify which twin owned which voice. And the fact that it was Hikaru that had called out to her caused a grin to form on the girl's lips. She had always been closer to Hikaru, though she didn't quite know how or why, considering she spent an equal amount of time with both twins due to the twins rarely being away from each other. Looking towards the fountain, she arched an eyebrow when she spotted Hikaru and was quick to make her way over. "It's great to know I haven't been forgotten," she joked lightly before smiling up at her friend when she was in front of him. "I hope I wasn't missed too much."
