All I wanted.

Stacy had just pulled into her new apartment, new town meant new life right? She would get away from her old life away from all those weirdos. It would also give her some home to think about not sleeping with every guy she dated. Stacy dragged her bags up the stairs humming quietly as she made her way to "B15" where she grabbed her key and opened the door. She left her bags in her bedroom and walked back outside go drag more items inside. Stacy walked up and down for twenty minutes before taking a seat by the stairs and popping open a can of pop.

Sebastian had just finished his shift at the office, sure working for a bank wasn't the most fun in the world but it paid well. Plus, it gave him time to spend with Lizzy in the afternoons and more time to do his artwork. He grabbed his suitcase and walked out after locking up for the night. He generally didn't close but one of his workers called in sick."hope my baby girl isn't too upset" he signed sliding into his car and driving to his mom's. Once he got there Sebastian thanked his mom and picked up his daughter and carried her gently to his car and buckled her up carefully.

"C'mon..." Rosalyn mumbled to herself as she tried to jimmy the door knob. She didn't know why she seemed to have such rotten luck, but clearly today just wasn't her day at all. She'd gotten caught in the rain, wearing a jacket that didn't have a hood of course, not that she figured that she needed one or anything. The weather report for the day had said bright sunshine with a high of 65 and not a single rain cloud in sight. Rosalyn was beginning to think that she'd chosen the wrong profession. She should've become a meteorologist instead. Then she would still get paid for being entirely wrong and inaccurate. But that was just the start. She'd spilt her coffee all over herself, and now she realized that she must've left her keys in her apartment. "I really should've gotten that spare key made up." She groaned, leaning her forehead against the door.

Chris knew that there were a lot of people who wouldn't agree with his lifestyle choices at all. He knew that his mom was going to continue to pester him about settling down and actually finding the right girl and stuff like that. But he wasn't ready for that. He was perfectly content with where his life was right now. Sure, maybe the band wasn't doing as great as it could be doing, but they did get a couple of gigs here and there. Weddings, bat mitzvahs, sweet sixteens, and other things of the like. That was at least something right? And maybe he did bring one too many different girls to his apartment. Maybe he needed to have better judgement, because this one certainly was a mistake. "I really have to get going...don't want to be late for my dentist appointment...just leave whenever...yeah, it's totally fine." He said as he walked out the door. He looked around, hoping to find someplace to hide out for the time being.

Sebastian sighed softly as he drove he looked in his rear view mirror every so often to see if his daughter was all right. Being a parent had definitely changed his perspective on the world. It wasn't just all the responsibilities and taking care of another human being that frighten him, it was making stupid mistakes and letting down the only person he loved. Lizzy. He didn't want her to leave him too. As he pulled up to their apartment Sebastian thought about moving out and getting a house but that would just get lonely and remind him that it was just him and Lizzy. Once he parked Sebastian noticed it was raining and sighed he took his jacket off and as he picked up his daughter he put it over her so she wouldn't get wet. He began walking inside after locking his vehicle.

Stacy had spent the last few years evaluating herself why she was stuck in what seemed to be a rut. She couldn't settle down, all her friends were getting engaged, getting married or having children. Here she was sitting on some stairs eating some chocolate and wishing he life was different. The whole move wasn't just because she wanted to get away from all her friends' and sister's success. Stacy wanted to be her own person and whole being an assistant/secretary for some lawyer made her decent money she didn't like the job. She wanted to do something with art or photography. Stacy stood up when she heard talking and decided to go sit in her apartment instead.

Rosalyn really didn't know why her day had turned out so badly. It had kind of just started off that way and went on from there. She kind of wished that she could go back to bed and wakeup again. Maybe things would turn out better if she did that. But she couldn't do that seeing as she couldn't even get into her damn apartment. She hadn't been living there for very long, maybe five or six months tops, and maybe she just hadn't had the time to get a spare key made, though she chalked that up to her being a slight procrastinator who liked to make excuses for just about everything. She was really kicking herself for that right now though.

Chris didn't really have a dentist appointment that he had to get to. It was just one of the many excuses that he used when he had a girl in his apartment and he wanted to get rid of her. Sure, okay, maybe it wasn't exactly the right thing to do or the right way to handle a situation, but what else was he supposed to do? He never got to know the women he slept with. It was kind of almost like a golden rule or something for him. And he avoided getting to know them by making up completely bullshit excuses to leave his apartment in a hurry the next morning. He also avoided doing so by never going back to their place. It was always his place. That was it. Glancing around, he spotted a newspaper. He looked to all of the other apartments and decided to just pick a random one to go up to. Newspaper in hand, he walked over, knocking lightly on the door.

Sebastian would consider himself a good persob with nothing but good intentions and he would help anyone who needed it. He quickly made into the building and began to walk to the elevator. He noticed the out of order sign and sighed "looks like more walking for me.." he started up the stairs, they lived in the third floor so it wasn't too bad. As he walked up stairs he noticed or heard actually, someone who was clearly frustrated. A woman, now he wasn't the type to just keep walking. Sebastian walked over to the woman and smiled softly with his child in his arms. "Excuse me, miss? Are you all right?"

Stacy was almost settled in her apartment she just had to unpack most of it. She had finished unpacking it took her a couple of hours more like four to organize everything but once she did, Stacy walked over and started making dinner she hummed softly. Stacy heard someone knocking at her door and figured it was her neighbors welcoming her. She's had a couple people bring her baked goods. Stacy opened the door with a smile on her face, "hi there.."

Really, the only thing Rosalyn wanted was to get into her apartment and take a nice, warm bath. She was quite clearly having a bad day, and she just wanted to kick back and relax for a little while. She was kind of caught off guard when someone approached her and asked her if she was alright. Glancing over, she noticed a rather attractive man with a cute little girl in his arms who was sound asleep. "I somehow managed to lock myself out of my apartment...must've forgotten my keys this morning." She admitted sheepishly.

Chris was quick to step inside, pushing past the girl who answered the door. "Hi, 3B, right?" He held out the newspaper in his hand. "I believe that this is yours." He sent a rather charming smile her way. He'd never seen her around here before, and he was certain that he would remember having such an attractive young woman living just two doors down from him. And yet, he didn't know this woman's name at all. She was a complete stranger, which left him to believe that she must've just moved here or something. Surely he would have run into her by now otherwise.

Sebastian took the young woman's appearance, she looked frustrated and looked like she had a bad day. She was also quite stunning, he walked over getting closer and smiled warmly at her. "If you'd like and you don't have to take my offer you can come to our apartment and I'll unlock your door in a few minutes.. I live in the floor above this one. I just have to take my daughter home and set her down first." Sebastian didn't want to scare her or anything but he didn't want to leave her there either. He stuck his free hand out, "I'm Sebastian" he said with a friendly smile.

Stacy blinked and was shocked as the young Man just walked into her home. "Excuse me.. What do you think you're doing? I didn't invite you in" she said sternly. Stacy sighed running a hand through her hair as she watched the man smile, he was attractive but just barging into her home like that was rude."No, that's not mine I just moved in so I haven't subscribed to anything yet.." Stacy stood in front of him with her hands at her hips, "what exactly are you doing? Hiding from someone? "

Rosalyn was tempted to tell him that she'd find her own way out of this mess, she was stubborn like that at times, but that nice, warm bath was really calling her name right about now. "That would be great." She said, a small smile gracing her lips. "Only if it wouldn't be too much trouble, of course." She didn't want him to help her if he had other things that he needed to do, and she didn't want to cause him too much trouble either. "Rosalyn." She said, shaking his hand. "I prefer Rosie though."

Maybe Chris should've asked to come in instead of just barging in, but he was really just looking for a place to hide out for the time being. "Are you sure?" He asked, kind of dismissing her earlier words. He was really just trying to stall and waste as much time as he possibly could right now. She'd just moved in. He supposed that that was why he didn't recognize her. "Because it was kind of right near your door...I just assumed that it was yours." He stole a quick glance around the apartment, noting the boxes and everything else. He probably could have easily figured out that she just moved in just based off of that. "What?" He asked, looking back over to her. "No, why would I be hiding from someone?"

Sebastian looked over at her and smiled "it's no problem at all, follow me" he waited for her before he continued walking upstairs. "Pretty name, this here is my daughter Izzy she's knocked out long day with her grandparents" he chuckled. Once they got to his floor Sebastian pulled out a key and opened his door. "Long day for you too huh?" He asked pushing the door open, "I've actually locked myself out a few times and learned how to use a hanger to open the door" he chuckled.

Stacy stared at him in disbelief, "yeah, I'm pretty sure I just said hi..." Stacy shook her head "well, it's not mine." Stacy sighed knowing he wasn't going to leave any time soon. "It's clearly obvious you're hiding out.. You just barged in here like you own the place so that gave it away. So who is it? Girlfriend? Mom? Weird stalker person?" She asked while closing the door, noticing some girl walk out of one of the rooms. "One night stands?" She asked facing him.

Rosalyn smiled slightly, following him up the stairs. "Thank you." She said, both for offering to help her and the compliment he'd just given her. She looked to the little girl in his arms and smiled. "She's adorable." She told him. Of course a guy like him had a daughter. He probably had a wife too. Of course, she was just making assumptions, but she couldn't really see someone like him being single. Not for long anyway. "That's practically the statement of the year." She said, letting out a quiet laugh. "I've used a bobby pin before, but I wore my hair down today, so I didn't have any on me."

Chris shrugged his shoulders. "Must be someone else's then." He said. "I'm Chris." He held his free hand out to her to shake, sending another one of his charming smiles her way. They didn't really seem to be working on her though, much to his dismay. "Maybe I do that on a daily basis, walk around like I own the place, I mean. You don't know me." He pointed out, letting out a slight chuckle. "Now what makes you think I'm that type of guy?" He hadn't noticed the girl walk out of his apartment, though, when he did, he moved out of the view of the doorway. "Unless, of course, you're offering?"

[this whole "Bucky " thing isn't gonna stop. I keep wanting to put Bucky. ]

Sebastian nodded as he walked into his home "make yourself at home I'll be right back," Sebastian had made sure his home was always clean. He was a father of course he had a bigger responsibilities and more importantly his daughter. He also made sure to take any pictures of his ex out of frames and trashed them. Being a single father wasn't easy just like being a single mother. He was both to Izzy, she was still too young to understand why her mother left. Sebastian tucked her in and kissed the top of her head with a small smile playing on his lips. Izzy was his world he loved her so much. He walked back to the living room and smiled "thanks, she's the sweetest kid around. I'm usually home earlier but had to take an extra long shift so it was awful to say the least" he laughed. Sebastian had his hanger and began to untwist it. "I'll use Izzy's Bobby pins sometimes when we get locked out. She thinks it's hilarious" he shook his head with a grin on his face.

Stacy looked at this guy trying to figure out what his angle was and why he was so weird. She raised an eyebrow and watched him talk and lean against her wall. "Right... Well. I'm Stacy" she shook his hand. "I assume that because you're hiding out in my apartment and a girl just left a room, someone I haven't seen around here.. I've met most of the tenants here except for you.. " Stacy let out a laugh escape her lips, "what makes you think I'm that kind of girl?"

[Hahaha, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I almost keep typing Steve ]

Rosalyn nodded. "Alright." She said, offering him a small smile. As she waited for him to come back, she stole a quick glance around the apartment. There were a couple of pictures hanging up on the walls and on the coffee table. She noted that, in all of them, she saw Sebastian and his daughter, and there were a couple of them with an older couple, his parents she presumed, but she didn't see any with a woman. Maybe he wasn't married after all. It honestly kind of took her by surprise. He seemed like a decent person, and she wondered if Izzy's mom was out of the picture, and for what reason. A few moments later, Sebastian walked back out. "Hey, sometimes you've gotta do what you gotta do." She said, shrugging her shoulders. "Bobby pins are a lot more useful than people think." She laughed, following him back down to her apartment.

"Nice to meet you, Stacy." Chris said with a smile. He was glad to have someone who seemed fairly normal moving into the building. There were quite a few weirdos that he'd come across since moving into the complex a couple of years back. Stacy seemed normal though. "How do you know that that apartment's mine?" He asked, punctuating his words with a raced eyebrow. "I could live in one of the other apartments on this floor." He knew that he was being fairly obvious about this whole thing though, and he'd admit to it soon enough. "Alright, you caught me. That was my apartment." He chuckled slightly. "You might not be that kind of girl, but you can't tell me that you wouldn't hook up with someone like me, c'mon."

Sebastian smiled at Rosie and he took a good look at her now that he didn't have a child on his arms. She was beautiful. "They aren't just used for holding up hair, though really helps with Izzy's Wild hair" he chuckled as he opened the door, "After you, I called my neighbor she'll watch Izzy for the few minutes I'll be gone." He explained and looked up when his neighbor came over, an older woman "thank you so much Mrs. Wilson I won't be but a few minutes." Sebastian had the hanger in one hand as he let Rosie lead the way, "I've never seen you around are you new? Or it must be my schedules" he chuckled.

Stacy couldn't help but laugh at the man he was a little forward but he was cute. She didn't plan on sleeping with him or anything not with that attitude and the way he went out of his way to avoid women. "Thought so, your strange behavior gave it away." Stacy walked to her kitchen to check on her soup humming as she did so. "Well, you are cute, but no I wouldn't. Just the way you avoid women doesn't strike me as boyfriend material. I barely know you anyway"

Rosalyn let out a quiet laugh. "I thought my hair was curly, but I think hers is even curlier than mine." She said, letting out another laugh. "Alright, I really hope that it's not too much trouble." She walked out of his apartment and started back towards the stairs. She was really grateful that he had offered to help her out like this. "I guess you could say I'm new. I moved in about six months ago."

Chris couldn't help being forward. It was just the type of person that he was. He was always forward and a bit of a flirt. "I guess I was acting kind of strange." He admitted with a slight chuckle. He knew that that was kind of an understatement seeing as he'd kind of just barged right on into her apartment without even asking. He just really needed to hide from that girl until she left though. "Alright, if you say so." He shrugged his shoulders. He wasn't fully convinced.

Sebastian smiled at Rosalyn, "she definitely doesn't get that from me, just her charming personality" he chuckled. Sebastian sometimes had trouble looking at his daughter because she looked so much like her mother and it still hurt to think about her. "It's no trouble at all, I don't mind. Yes, that's rather new. So how do you like it around here?"

Stacy stirred her soup with a wooden spoon and hummed softly and listened to Chris. As she turned around Stacy noticed Chris checking her out, "um my fave is up here" she chuckled and turned around to face the cupboard to grab a bowl. She knew he didn't believe her but Stacy wasn't about to explain herself to a stranger.

Rosalyn let out a quiet laugh. "It definitely doesn't look like she got it from you." She said, a small smile gracing her lips. "Though I do see some similarities." She'd seen some similarities between the two of them, they were only slight but it was still pretty obvious that they were related. "Alright, if you say so." She smiled. "I actually really like it here so far. Only a few minor mishaps here and there, so I can't really complain."

Chris chuckled slightly. "I know it is.' He said, smirking slightly, though he did avert his gaze back to her face. He glanced back outside. It appeared as though the girl had left. Thankfully enough, she obviously hadn't planned on sticking around and waiting for him or anything like that. That would have foiled his plan entirely. "Well, I guess that's my cue to leave. I'll see you around." He said, starting towards the door.

Sebastian stopped when Rosalyn at her apartment door and he held out the hanger. "Yeah she has my eyes and her love of art" he got down on his knee and started messing with the lock. "Well good, maybe I'll see more of you.. I mean maybe we could uh.. Sorry if that's forward" he quickly apologized. After a few moments of messing with the lock Sebastian had the door unlocked. "There.."

Stacy shook her head, "you're something else," she walked towards the door and watched chris walk out. "I guess I will. Oh and Chris,be nice to your er.. Lady friends" she chuckled and closed the door when he walked out. He was definitely cute and well built but she had promised herself she wasn't gling go sleep with anymore guys.

Rosalyn smiled. "So, you're an artist then?" She asked, punctuating her words with a raised eyebrow. She supposed that she could kind of see it. There was some sort of an artsy vibe coming off of him, that was for sure. She let out a quiet laugh in response to his later words. "You don't need to apologize, I didn't think that it was forward at all. And, for the record, I wouldn't mind seeing more of you." She smiled. "Thank you so much. You're an actual lifesaver."

Chris chuckled softly. "I hope you mean that in the best way possible." He said, grinning slightly. "I'll try my best." Without another word, he walked out the door of her apartment and across the way to his own. Yep, the girl was gone. Now he could relax and not worry about her wanting to see him again or anything like that. He certainly hoped that he wouldn't have to anyway.

Sebastian smiled "only in my free time I work at a bank" he laughed. "It pays the bills and pay isn't too bad. I'm good at it but I've wanted to do a lot of paintings and photography" he explained. He stood up and dusted himself off, even though he didn't have any diry on him. "Oh? Well, if you want we could go for coffee some time?" He smiled brightly. "Anything for such a pretty lady, anytime you need help you know where to find me" Sebastian smiled at Rosalyn.

Stacy chuckled "sure," after he left Stacy sat down and ate her food. She looked through some of her folders trying to find her friends number. Stacy sighed, she knew that he would only want her for one thing and he'd ditzh her so why try to get to know him at all?
