Zen considered Ink. The cynic in her demanded that no vampire held any shred of humanity left in their polluted blood. Then there was another part of her that looked at how he acted and considered the possibility that he had managed to hold onto, some of his humanity. She was quick to shake that thought from her head though. It was exactly the sort of thing that had landed her in this situation in the first place. "It's going to take me longer than a couple of days to decide whether I believe that or not, Ink. Different doesn't necessarily always mean better." She stood up then and took their empty plates to the sink to clean.

"If I were human, I think we would be substituting 'not all vampires' with 'not all men'." Finn teased as he watched her take her plate to the sink."Which, is the same argument, some good and some bad. You also need to realize as a human, you're expendable. As a vampire, our number one reasoning for not wiping out humans is our need to feed, should be thanked for that? Of course not but you need to realize that you and I are fighting on the same side against the same thing." Finn reasoned with her, the sooner she could really trust him, as he knew she didn't no matter what she said; it would make this all so much easier.

After setting the plates in the sink, Zen turned back to Ink, leaning back against the counter with her arms crossed. "If we were fighting for the same thing, then why did we meet in a prison when I was about to die? It isn't as if you know that a Hunter was the next to be executed, and you were looking for a partner in crime. Actually, if you were hoping to find a Hunter, I'm not even sure what you were thinking. It would just be easier for you to find another vampire who shares your ideals. And yes, I do know that I am expendable. Really, being a criminal fresh out of prison, I'm more than expendable. Trust me, I don't need to be reminded. And actually, just so you know, I would probably trust you more if you were human... not by much though." She shrugged. "I trusted someone, and he stabbed me in the back. Forgive me if I'm not big on handing out trust willy-nilly to strangers."
