Alexander glanced up and grinned, hooking his arm through Marina's. "Come, tesoro, let's sit together." He flashed a smile at the vampire, Rogue, and led the girl into the room Abby gestured toward. His sharp eyes shot her a glance, then his eyes trailed over to the one that vaguely smelled like dog. He was asleep on the couch in the room Abby had gestured toward.

Normally Alex liked dogs. Especially the small annoying ones that shivered and barked at leaves rustling. Their cute wet noses and little paws drove him mad, and he enjoyed doing quick spells that allowed them to talk. But werewolves, they were another story. They did not normally have wet noses (barring the ones with the occasional cold), they did not have little paws (not even on full moons), they did not bark at leaves, and when they shivered something bad usually happens.

So, he decided, he would simply avoid the stupid werewolf, regardless of whether he was stupid or not. Because werewolves are stupid.

Rogue just followed behind Marina's footsteps, ignoring the thing by her side. Alexander had something on him, something the vampiress didn't like, something other than the fact thay he was an elfling. He seemed strange to her eyes and it had picked her interest, though not as much as Marina had.

Abby did a quick sweep of the house, looking for the few members who had exited the kitchen area shortly after the group session's recess. With the common areas clear, she climbed the stairs and began looking in on the residents who now roomed upstairs.

First reaching Shep's room, Abby knocked swiftly. Receiving no answer, she pressed her ear against the door, listening for any sounds or movement. Hearing none, she tried opening the door, only to find it unsurprisingly locked.

"Mr. Shepherd?" she called, "lunch break's over. If you could return to the library, we'll be glad to have you." Waiting just a few second longer, and getting no response, Abby walked away towards Maxwell's room.

Maxwell Alchemy's room was located across the hall and just a couple of doors down from Shepherd's and, much like his, Maxwell's door was closed, locked, and the room was silent. "Mr. Alchemy," Abby yelled, hoping she could be heard, "If you would join us in the library." Again, she was met with silence.

Assuming the two were either sleeping or flat-out ignoring her, Abby sighed - both annoyed and a little dejected - walked towards the end of the hall. She could give those two some time, if that's what they needed. There was always tomorrow.

At the end of the hall - in direct opposition to hers - was Rocio's room. With the biggest windows of all rooms, as requested by Rocio herself, Abby could see the sunlight shining out from under the door. "Rocio?" Abby called, knocking quietly. When no answer came, she turned the doorknob. Surprised to find it unlocked, she gently pushed the door open and peaked inside. With the sunlight beating against the white walls - again, another thing Rocio insisted on - the room was almost blinding. Rocio's room was pristine, neat and well-put together, and empty. This, Abby was prepared for. When taking the job, Rocio had reminded her that she might disappear from time to time. She was a reaper, first and foremost, a responsibility she couldn't just abandoned. Still, it was a little disheartening to find her gone.

With a deep breath, Abby pulled Rocio's door shut and made her way toward the basement, where Brodim resided. Descending the side stairwell - the only one that took you from the Home's second floor directly the cellar - she could feel the temperature drop with each step she took. The dwarf wanted to be some place where he could "smell the nearness of the earth" and she figured the cellar was the closest thing she could find that still kept him within the house with easy access to the rest of the residents. In her opinion, it was too cold, too damp, and too dark, but Brodim had assured her it would do just fine.

As suspected, the wooden door wouldn't budge when Abby tried to pull it open. Brodim must have slipped the bolt into place from the inside. She knocked fruitlessly and, with more force than necessary, stomped back up the stairs.

[She's making her way back towards the library for the group session. So next post can be from within the library or if someone wants to meet Abby out in the hallway or something...]

The black haired beauty continued her advances... battling himself... from him... hurt his place (and any other wolf) in the pack if he were to handle... care. She was beautiful, and she was strong but... was spoken for, but she didn’t... He caught her hand before... growled at her.

    “Don’t.”

... she reached her other hand up to his face... so close to... from him, it was only when his hand grabbed her waist... Rollin nearly fell to his knees... power of his alpha... in rage.

Rollin shifted on the brown library couch, his bright yellow eyes snapping open. He rubbed his forehead, his chest rumbling with a growl. What the fuck? he thought.

He had plenty of dreams, most of them were made up, and some of them were memories. Most of those memories were very vague, it had a lot of holes. He remembered some events that happened with his pack, a few conversations, personalities and names. He just couldn't piece them all together. Rollin knew that it was because his wolf took control, but when the wolf takes full control; it's over. You lose anything human, and that included memories.

He sat up, his body cooled from the quickness of his action. Rollin hated having memory related dreams, it made him wish his wolf never gave him the reigns. He needed a pack, he needed to feel like he was part of a structure. A pack made you stronger, and Rollin didn't like to remember the reason he was without one.

Alexander flopped into a chair and crossed his ankles, watching as the others filed into the room. He felt so out of place here, and despite his insistence at making friends with Marina, he felt alone.

He gave himself a sour little smile. He had always been alone. What was new?

He watched Abby walk back into the room and piqued an eyebrow at her in curiosity. She seemed dejected. He wondered vaguely what happened to the rest of the people in the home. He hadn't seen or heard from very many people.

He didn't know when the others started entering the library, nor did Rollin care. He was well rested, and well fed, but he was still a bit irritated. Rollin had taken a seat after he had paced the carpet clean, and had chosen a chair against the wall. It had been a subconscious decision, the wolf didn't like anyone creeping up behind him.

Rollin sighed, he wanted to grab another snack but he also didn't want to give up his seat. Maybe he'll wait until everyone is seated before going, he decided and leaned back into the chair. Seconds passed before he took in a deep breath, and froze. He furrowed his brows, that one scent just did not register. He looked around the room and his brown eyes landed on another male.

Taking a deep breath, Abby steadied herself before placing a cheery smile on her face and pushing open the doors to the library. Inside she found the room even less populated than she imagined. The witch - Ms. Bristow - and the vampire - Khloe, was it? - hadn't followed the others into the room. Instead she was met by the unimpressed stares of just four of the residents.

"Seems like the herd has thinned," she said, breaking the silence with a nervous laugh. "It looks like a couple of the residence have retired to their rooms for the afternoon. Understandable, as some of us do keep different hours. Hopefully we'll be able to work out this little hitch in scheduling soon. Even so, shall we start?"

The response was less than enthusiastic, but Abby pushed on. "I see a new face. Has everyone met Mr. Alexander Aita? Mr Aita, would you like to say a few words or..."

Alex could feel the werewolf staring at him, so he looked up. With just the barest hint of a smirk, he licked his lips and winked at the wolf. He may not like them, but he loved to set them on edge. He held the wolf's gaze a little bit longer, unblinkingly, before turning his gaze to Abby and smiling his most charming smile.

"I don't really need an introduction, love. You've just told everyone my name, and they can see my good looks for themselves." He cracked the best shit eating grin he could muster and shifted in his seat, looking as disinterested as he felt. "But do me a favor, love. Call me Aita. Only those who sleep in my bed get to call me Alexander." He sent another cheeky wink to the wolf.

Rogue was bored in there and the only thought dancing her mind was that this session wasn't going to be as interesting as she thought. Well, Marina was there but that was all. By the looks of it, she wouldn't be able to get a hold on her pheromones yet.

It was time like those that she wished Camus would be by her side. A vampire like no other, with gifts unknown to most of their race. Camus was cruel and a blood thirsty animal but he always behaved when he was by her side. He knew what it did to her and how much it pained it her. He would never do that to her.

    If only Camus was here...

The dark haired wolf felt his canines grow within his mouth when the lean male continued to stare into Rollin's eyes. His wolf didn't like that, he was a a dominant wolf and he took the stare as a challenge—but when the newcomer winked at him, he froze.

Rollin felt his teeth revert back as he furrowed his brows, he wasn't sure how to take this foreign creature... He didn't know what he was, yet he didn't feel threatened. It irritated Rollin that he couldn't quite pin the damp earth, tree-bark odor; it wasn't a sharp stinging stench like a vampire, or burnt metal like the old dwarf. He wasn't human either; a human smell was tamer and didn't bother his nose as much.

His lip lifted in a slight grin at the end of Aita's introduction, Rollin leaned back in his chair, his muscles relaxing. No, the creature wasn't a threat to him, he thought, he's either trying to play with him or he's attracted to him. Either way, he didn't care.

"I'll be right back," Rollin lied. He already introduced himself earlier, and he didn't want to go through that again. The wolf stood up from his chair and—ignoring the protests—he walked out of the room. His food cravings took most of his interest, he didn't care for anything, and not even the pretty therapist's company could keep him away from filling his stomach with sustenance.

Marina was hoping to meet more of the residents but all thoughts of it flew out the window when she realized no more people would gather. At leaat not for the rest of their day.

"May I be excused?" Rogue asked but from the sounds of it, it didn't seem like she was asking, more like stating the point. "I'm kind of hungry and we wouldn't want things to get messy, not yet at least." Before the therapist could say anything, she got up and left with her high speed.

    Quite handy, Marina thought.

"And then there were three, huh?"

Leaning forward in her seat, Abby ran her hand through her hair before looking up at the remaining two residents - the elf and the mind reader - and sent them a strained smile.

"No reason in continuing this 'group session' if most of the group has run off. But before I let you go, may I pose just one question? Maybe something to think about for our next meeting? Why are you really here? What drove you here and what's your reason for staying?"

With that, Abby stood and straightened out her clothes. "If you'll see yourselves out?"

With Mariana and Alexander out of the room, Abby plopped heavily onto an empty chair. The residents had only been at the Home for a day and already she was exhausted. She knew she wouldn't be able to do this on her own and she wasn't supposed to be.

Fishing her phone out of her pocket, she looked for any new notifications. When she'd agreed to the job, Rocio had promised her that any reaping she'd need to do would only keep her away for a few minutes at a time. Yet she'd already been MIA for almost two hours.

Coming up empty, Abby toggled to her contacts, thumb hovering the emergency number Rocio had given her. Was this an emergency? Abby wondered. Probably not. But still, wasn't it a bit strange for her to be gone so long?

Deciding against the call, Abby pocketed the phone before getting up to put the room back to sorts. She'd give the group sessions a rest until the following evening. Hopefully Rocio would be back. Until then, she'd try to get to know the residents individually.

Abby took her time tidying the library - lining the desks and chairs back up together and placing a few books back on the shelves - before using her laptop to print a couple of pages and the old copier to make multiples. Sliding the door shut behind her, Abby pinned a sign-up sheet on the library door before heading upstairs to slip notices under the residents' bedroom doors.

Alex glanced at the note with a yawn and laid down in his bed. He had absolutely no interest in a one on one session. There was nothing wrong with him.

He stared up at the ceiling, the sun's last light filtering in through his window. He was the only person on his floor, which was fine. He wasn't really interested in sharing dreary rooms with creatures of the night. No matter what he felt, or how he acted, he was a creature of the light.

He rested his hands behind his head and sighed, thinking about his home. Not this dreary rest for the wicked, but his own home, a beautiful tree filled village. His thoughts returned to his childhood - what some might call a loving environment, being raised by no one and every one. That was the way elves were raised. It was so rare for one to birth a child. He was a rarity. He was special. He was a grace to Elven kind.

He took another deep breath, holding it for five, ten, thirty seconds before letting it out in a deep gust. Exhaustion weighed heavy on his chest. He closed his eyes to the dying light of the day and drifted into sleep. Maybe he should go to the stupid meeting tomorrow.

Once she was certain that the halls were empty, Lana emerged from her room and decided to explore for a bit on her own. She made her way back towards the library, pausing for a moment to check if she was alone. She stepped into the vast library and cautiously observed the scene. The chairs were back in their rightful places, no longer showing where the other residents had been sitting during the wonderful group meeting. Lana scoffed, wondering how many of those she would have to frequent. She was alone before this place and she would be alone now. She didn't need anyone.

She began to move out of the library and was about to continue her solo tour when a note on the door caught her eye. She read it quickly, chuckling under her breath at the thought of a one-on-one meeting. She moved to leave and then stopped in her tracks, wondering if maybe Abby would be someone who could help her. If she had to live here, it might be an advantage to get on the good side of the person in charge.

Lana grabbed the pen near the note and went to add her name, deciding on the 2 PM slot. There was no way she was getting out of bed before noon. Her cursive name stood out on the blank page and an unknown warm feeling ran through her. She shook her head and returned the pen to where it was, about to walk out of the library when she heard someone near. She shuffled behind a bookshelf and held her breath, determined to remain unseen.

Rogue was getting restless without a certain reason. She had this feeling that something was going to happen and she didn't like it. She was thinking of leaving the Home for a few hours till she was sure of what was going on and what those mixed signals she had meant. Another one of her kind was coming but that wasn't the problem. The blood thirsty aura tha kept coming on to her as to bite her was the cause of her uncertainty.

Deciding it was better to leave this place for a few hours in order to clear her mind without getting distracted, she went to the library where her eyes landed upon a single note on the door.

A one on one session? Why now? The vampiress thought and she was about to rip apart the note when Marina called her name.

"Rogue?" Came her sweet pheromone filled.voice.

The vampiress turned her head to face the young mindreader that was interrupting her. "Have you read this yet?" She asked pointing at the note.

"No, so leave it in one piece please. I'm not really interested in playing with puzzles." Marina stepped beside the vampire and read the note. "Excellent!" She said to herself after reading it.

"I guess you'll be reading everyone's mind during their session? Cause I can't think of another reason to smile from side to side while reading that." The vampiress was quick to catch on.

"I'd say you know me too well. It will be fun, don't you think?" And with that she turned on her heels and left.

Even though Rogue wanted to leave and forget all aout the one on one session, she knew she had to stay and actually do it, so she went back to her room. Maybe staying alone in her own room would calm her somehow.

The wolf stretched out his muscles, and shook his body like a wet dog. It was always weird to be in his human skin when he was in the front seat; a wolf wasn't made to live in a house like a pet. His sharp yellow eyes glanced around the room Rollin had chosen; it was one of the two rooms at the very top floor. He was the last one to pick a bedroom because he struggled on where to stay in a building full of supernatural beings. He didn't want to be stuck between floors, nor share the basement with the vampires. He would much rather share space with the foreign creature than feel like he was squished between creatures.

He opened the door — ignoring the paper that smelled like Abby — and made his way down to the main foyer. Maybe Rollin should have asked which room was hers, and pick one near it. She didn't seem bothered by the fact that she was the only human, just focused on helping them. He snorted, what can a measly human do to help him? Other than put him out of his misery... Oh how Rollin would love that. Too bad I'm not going anywhere, the wolf thought defiantly.

It was still light outdoors, so he had no problem walking through the house like he was a civilized human. As he neared the "meeting room" doors, he sneezed like an invisible fairy just tickled his nose hairs. Magic... his lip curled when he recognized the scent of melted candle wax and burnt charcoal, it was the lingering stinging odor of a vampire that made his muscles tense. He could sit in the same room with a vampire for 10 years and still be uncomfortable around them. If the witch (who, he realized, was in the 'talking room') was a dark one, then it would be a complete different outcome.

He rolled his shoulder, ridding himself of the thoughts of black witches, and continued to the entrance doors. The cursed male let out a rumbling growl when he felt the first human bone break and rearrange itself to accommodate his bear-like true form. He could only take so much of The Home, and no amount of sandwich meat can keep him at bay.

[The wolf has full reins right now, and hopefully I was able to show it. When Rollin (the human side) comes to, he won't remember any of this.]

Abby was in her office, finishing up a cup of tea and an important call, when she heard a strange sound outside the hall. The noise sounded frighteningly like snarling and then the snapping of twigs.

"Oh, I have to go, Tahmoh. Something's going on outside. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow. Goodnight."

Hesitantly she put down her mug and walked to the door, slowly and quietly turning the knob. Poking her head out, she saw the hall was empty but felt a cool breeze gust past her face. Was the door open?

"Hello?" she called softly. "Is everything alright out there?"

With no response, she left her office, shutting and locking the door behind her. Briskly she walked down the hall, out towards the kitchen. She noticed it immediately, the front door spread wide open, letting the cold in. She couldn't be sure but for a second she thought she spotted a brush of fur disappear into the night.

One hand on the door-jamb, she leaned forward, out into the front yard. "Rollin?" As far as she knew, he was the only thing in this house that turned furry and from the look of his files, it was never good when he did.

With a deep breath, Abby stepped back inside, shutting the sturdy door and bolting it. If Rollin was in wolf form, he might be a danger to the residents and while she sympathized, her first responsibility was to keep everyone safe.

Besides, she rationalized, once he comes to, he'll certainly be able to ring the bell. Until then, wasn't the great outdoors the best place for a wolf?
