ORIGIN OF HIS POWERS:
searching around his father's old things in a box on the basement, Beau found a wooden box which, as soon as he opened it, began to burn his hands. Now he bears an unknown mark on the palm of his hand, and also the burden of telepathy. Later on, telekinesis, the ability to unlock minds and even, if careless, possession.
BACKSTORY:
Born and Bred in New Orleans and from a Cajun family, Beau was a happy child, even when tragedy repeatedly struck his family. At summer vacation, after his Freshmen year in college, Beau finds a few old boxes of his father's in the basement. This is when he acquires his powers, and his mother tells him that his father came from a line of Cajuns that didn't treat voodoo witches very nicely, and they cursed their line with the burden on too-powerful abilities. The box he touched kept his powers encased, but when he opened, they unleashed and went back to him, along with his sister's. The voices he hears, that someones don't belong to anyone, come in his sister's voice. His next year of college begins nicely, since his mother was able to encase a portion of his newly acquired powers inside the box once more, and gave him a brew to keep them at bay. On the long run, it turns to be so much more complicated than just a few herbs...

And if it's not too bad, can he have a huge crush on Hollace, but maybe Hollace doesn't see it or something? They don't have to end up together, but Hollace fits the kind of friend Beau would defend to death.

And if he can become the villain, it'd be a gradual, very dark turn from how happy and optimistic he is to the untrusting, negative asshole he turns into. It'd be above all about his telepathy, and how everyone thinks, how nobody is a good person and all that. That's the irony: how he used to love people and be loved by then and finding out they're not what he thought.

Well, first of all, they all go to the same college, right? I think it best if we first state where they are, whether fictional or real. How do they meet each other? What's the friendship between all of them? Do they form a group of superheroes, or do they gradually come together?

As a suggestion, I say we do fictional. They can be in this college on the outskirts of a big city in the east coast, maybe, up north, like a New York. Beau, for example, is completely new, as he's from Lousianna, but what about yours, guys?

Another suggestion; the bad guy doesn't have anything to do with any of them, but in the end he forms a group of villains that are each character's nemesis!

Also, I just saw the Hollace thing, so maybe Annie? I just need someone for him to doubt a lot and end up hurting accidentally.

I was actually thinking of having Annie be from New York, so that would work for me. She was originally born in England and moved stateside when she was about 8.

For them meeting, it could be by chance if they're all in the same location. There could also be other 'heroes' or other people that somehow know about them and bring them together. I also had a thought that they could have DNA of an ancient and more evolved version of humanity which lends them powers and draws them together somehow once their powers emerge (my brain went all over the place cause I was striving so hard not to turn this into X-Men haha).

So pleeeeeease guys share your ideas cause I am so up in the air with how they meet.

Edit: I don't mind if he crushes on Annie. She'd be pretty oblivious to that kind of thing so that could easily serve to lend to his descent into villainy.

Okay, Beau is from New Orleans and he's got the whole voodoo scene going on, and he's a Cajun, so maybe we can work with that...?

OR, someone messed with them when they were really young and nobody knew. Like, they have a tragedy in common (supernatural alert!) but something like that, yeah. And then it turns out that the one who gave them powers is not actually the evil guy, but another guy who made a mistake by following someone's instructions...? An experiment of sorts, and they didn't see anything but their powers manifested later and shit so they didn't know until now? I'm a mess, but yeah.

And about mentors or other superheroes, it could be a parent or uncle that knows all this shit. Again, I'm thinking New Orleans but we should think of the other characters because I'm giving Beau too much protagonism.

I am sort of stuck on how to get Esther out of her community, since she is not privileged to knowledge of the outside world. I was thinking maybe Annie's mom or dad could be a doctor of sorts and Esther meets them when she takes her dad to get help. They talk to her and help her leave. This could be how she meets Annie thus the group.

Haha well that could be good! Cause it will make his turn to the dark side all the more devastating for everybody. I was thinking of them being part of some kind of experiment thing they didn't know about. That was actually my first initial thought but I wanted a mixed bag to present to everyone to help figure this out. Also it occurred to me that if he does like Annie, and she gets with either Remy or a nameless faceless dude who I have yet to invent then that could easily be part of Beau's not trusting people thing? Eh? I have a thing for connecting a lot of details in stories haha.

She could more or less rebel by taking him to a conventional outside doctor. A lot of Amish communities are in Pennsylvania which is near New York so she could easily take him somewhere there. Either Annie's parent can be the treating doctor, Annie could be interning there, or even be a patient. I was thinking she could have sort of a freak out when her powers first start working and she either faints or hits her head and ends up in the hospital for a few days. They could meet by chance when Esther brings her dad in.

it would probably work better if she saw him as a friend and got with Remy. Cause that could send him over the edge, especially maybe if Beau and Remy became fairly good friends?

omg wow I missed a lot but I like your guys' characters a lot! I'm really into Beau being the villain. That is super interesting! I love Esther being Amish. That ain't something you see a lot.

As for Remy, I was also thinking of him growing up in New York (like Long Island with his parents, and then the city with his aunt). I kinda wanted him and Annie to be love interests but if the Beau and Annie thing happens then probs not just cuz I hate love triangles.

edit: idk if you want Esther to have a love interest but I'm thinking Remy could at least have a crush on her because that sounds hella cute to me idk

also I don't know how Remy should meet all of them. Are they all meeting at the hospital when Esther's dad is brought there??? Cuz if so, then maybe Remy is visiting his cousin there because he accidentally burned her or something...
