Kat was completely and utterly confused. She didn't understand this faerie, and she hated that she couldn't tell whether or not he was playing with her. "Okay," she started as she pulled her hand from his and rubbed it against her leg. There was just something... odd feeling about being touched by a fae. "Let's say you're actually being serious." She took a step away from him and coincidentally, towards the door. "You wouldn't be coming with me, otherwise it would be sneaking me out, and you already said that wasn't going to happen." As she spoke, she took a few more steps towards the door. No, she didn't know where she was or how to get back, but she could figure it out.
"Well," Michael drawled as he held her gaze, taking half a step closer, "I could think of one thing that would take your mind off the road signs. But sadly, it isn't really the sort of thing people do while walking." But who was he kidding? None of this was really about a walk, if he was reading things correctly. So he took a chance. He took another step forward so that only mere inches separated them, and then he leaned down and brushed his lips against hers in the whisper of a kiss. "What do you think?" he asked, his mouth moving against hers as he spoke.
