Legacy isn't a dirty word...

"Hmm... I never tried morphing into two people, but I really doubt I could. I mean I do only have one body."

In a blink Tommy was gone and back and changed. "Yeah you can get there fast, but I can't. I want to go to and enjoy some of that pizza that my money paid for." Teddy laughed as he walked to his room to change.

"That's a shame. You could have a lot of fun with that."

"I can carry you, especially if you shift into someone smaller," Tommy called after Teddy. While waiting for the other boy to change, he headed into the kitchen and poured himself a glass of apple juice. As he sipped at his drink, he amused himself by rearranging all the fridge magnets to spell out rude words and/or insults about Billy.

"That I can do." Teddy called after Tommy. Soon he appear is a petite girl, dressed as cute as Teddy could manage with his own clothes. An over-sized shirt and a pair of Billy's skinny jeans. "This size work for you?" He asked. Teddy had morphed to look much like the girl before, but this time more proportionate, so no huge breasts for Tommy to stare at. "Ready when you are."

Tommy dumped his empty glass in the sink as he turned to look at Teddy. "Why can't you look like this all the time?" He joked, before picking up his friend and running to Florence. He came to a stop in an empty alley near the pizza place he planned to go to and set Teddy down, grinning.
"Welcome to Italy."

Teddy's mouth was left open as he was whisked away and in a blink was in Italy. "Wow. I knew you were fast, but just wow. This is amazing!" He looked around, as if not believing that any living thing could get from New York to Italy without the aid of magic. "Ooh and I'm not always like this because then I wouldn't be banging your twin." He laughed. "Come on." Teddy decided to keep the female form.

"I know I am. It's good too see someone else finally acknowledge it," Tommy grinned. He headed out of the alley, dragging Teddy with him by the wrist. He was about to make a joke about him then banging him instead but decided it would be too much like actually hitting on him so refrained.
"This way. C'mon."

Tommy seemed to know exactly where to take Teddy. "So how often do you come here to Italy?" He asked before wrapping an arm around Tommy's. He wasn't cheating on Billy, he was simply playing the part. Make it just a tad bit more fun.

"Every once in a while," Tommy answered as he led Teddy down the street to the pizzeria. He was surprised when Teddy linked arms but decided to roll with it. "When I get a craving for proper pizza instead of take-out. I've done some of the sight seeing stuff too." He grinned as he added, "Super speed comes in handy for not paying entrance fees."

"Do you do the sight seeing at super speed?" Teddy managed a very girly, high pitched gasp. "I hope not. You wouldn't be able to enjoy any of the sights. I know! How about you take me to your favorite ones and we can properly admire them."

Tommy nodded. "Time's subjective though. I take plenty of time to look at everything, but to someone else it'd look like I was in and out in just a few minutes." They then entered the pizzeria so he briefly broke off from talking to Teddy in order to speak to the waiter at the door. "Un tavolo per due, per favore." As they were led to a table in one corner, he resumed the conversation. "As long as you don't insist on moving at a snail's pace. Regular people speed is bad enough."

When they entered the building Teddy listened attentively. He was shocked. He really didn't know Tommy at all. Once they were seated he asked, "When... where did you learn how to speak Italian?" Despite the shock, Teddy was really impressed with his friend. "Well I don't really know Italian. Want to read this menu for me?"

Tommy pretended that he didn't care what other people thought, but he was secretly pleased that Teddy was impressed by his (small) knowledge of the local language. "I pick up random phrases when I visit. Just basic stuff like how to order food, and of course swear words." He grinned at the last part. He opened the menu and set it down between them, quickly scanning the text before pointing out the bits he understood.

"Well it sounds like you come here often." Teddy commented before picking up the menu and opening it up. "Hey what's the legal drinking age here? Maybe we should get something good to drink. I am this is a celebration after all. Celebration of you beating me at Mario Kart. A very rare happening." Teddy smirked then went back to his menu. He could hardly read what it said, so decided to just go off the few pictures it had. "What will you be having?"

"It's sixteen. They have wine with like every meal and it's normal for kids to drink as well as the adults," Tommy informed him whilst looking intently at the menu, trying to decide what to order. Places like the restaurant they were in didn't usually approve of him ordered multiple pizzas so he figured he'd just eat more later, maybe when Teddy was looking at the sights.
"Rare, ha! You're just in denial. Mario Kart's all about speed and that's my thing," He retorted, despite the fact that Teddy often won because Tommy didn't concentrate enough on making his actions slow enough for the console.
"I'm gonna get Neapolitan."

"Perfect! We will be drinking today. Hmm... I don't think I've ever ate pizza with wine." Teddy laughed, feeling extra fancy. But how couldn't you coming all the way to Italy for the best pizza. "I think I'm going to go with an original pizza. I think that's this one." Teddy pointed at the picture that looked like a plain pizza. "I want to see how good their plain, normal, pizza is."

"The only time I've had wine was at that fancy party Kate took us to." Tommy made a face that showed his opinion of it. He glanced at the picture Teddy was pointing to and nodded, smirking, "Yeah. That's a margherita. Don't you recognise the word?" When the waiter came over to take their order, Tommy ordered for them both, having learnt that the locals were much more friendly if you spoke Italian.
"Una margherita e un napoletano per favore. E un bicchiere di vino e una birra." He noticed that the waiter was looking at him a little disapprovingly, although the man was trying to hide it, and it took him a few moments to realise that it was probably because of the bruises on his face. He brushed it off though, not caring what some random Italian guy thought.

"Yeah I tired some then too. It was horrible, but adults seem to drink it like apple juice in the movies, so I mean.... acquired taste or something?" Teddy shrugged a little bit. He smiled sweetly when the waiter came to take the order. Just like last time he was very impressed by the quality of Tommy's Italian. "Don't tell Billy, but you're really cute when you speak Italian."

"I guess so. Kate's the only person our age I know who actually seems to like wine and she doesn't count because she's rich and all that." Tommy nodded when the waiter asked if that was everything, turning back to Teddy when the man left. At the other boy's comment, a strange expression crossed his face that was somewhere between pleasure at the compliment and awkwardness because it had come from Teddy, and he was actually speechless for once. However from a normal person's perspective it didn't last long at all, and Tommy was soon deflecting and making another joke.
"So you've got a thing for languages, huh? I bet Billy could learn to speak another language with his magic. Not that I wanna know what you guys get up to in the bedroom."

Teddy couldn't help but laugh. "You really think Billy and I are huge perverts don't you? All we do is talk about comics and movies and then he goes on talking gibberish. or I guess you would call that magic talk or something. Not sure. And then soon after if we are at this house his little brother comes barging in." Teddy shrugged. "We're not as naughty as you think. Billy is all into that whole waiting until marriage thing... I think. Or he's just to scared. But I mean it's just sex, right? What's so scary about that?"

Teddy relaxed back in his seat and took a look around. While everything in his life had changed, some good, some bad, it was great to know that he was no longer alone and that honestly without a moment's hesitation he could be in Italy eating pizza. He couldn't go back to a normal life after all this. Though did he really even wanted to? "Hey Tommy? Serious question. Would you ever want to live a normal life? You know parents, siblings, stressing about tests, and planning what college to go to and that be the most stress you ever deal with?"

"I don't think that, I just don't want to know what you get up to. I mean, Billy's my brother, at least if you belief that magical soul stuff. Wait, what? You mean you haven't...?" Tommy trailed off, his question contradicting his previous statement. He really hoped that the other customers didn't speak English, what with the direction their conversation was going.

Tommy immediately shook his head. "No way. School was bad enough before I got my powers, and well, you know what happened after." When he'd told the rest of the team that he'd been in juvie for blowing up his school, they all seemed to assume that he'd done it on purpose - he was the team sociopath after all (while he'd never admit it, it had hurt when Billy made that comment), but he never bothered correcting them, sticking to old habits. Growing up, he'd quickly learnt to hide his weaknesses and pretend that what other people thought didn't matter, and even now he had friends and, dare he say it, family it was hard to do anything different.
