He growled, giving her a mock glare. "You call me glare, and I throw you in an ice bath. And hold you under, and walk out of there. I hate being called Stripes." Everyone in the circus knew it, too. Which was precisely why Richard loved to call him that. He used it at every opportunity. He was the only one who dared. "But enough of that. It's killing the mood."

There was still a grin on her face as he growled, the curve widening even more. She gave his hair a little tug, motioning for him to crawl closer, "Mood? What mood?" She continued to tease, "Because to me it looks like we're just laying here, chatting about eery day things. But, since you told me your little secret, I suppose I can tell you one of mine..." She bit her lip, then sighed, "Well, when I was growing up... I took a little extra time to develop." She shrugged, "So every one always called me 'boy' because of it..."

He blinked. What? That had come out of nowhere. "Boy? Really? You? But..." He shook his head. "Can't see it. Even flat, you'd look all female. But then again..." He reached up and tapped his nose. "It's not all about looks for me."

Vella smiled and shrugged, "It caught on and all the boys in my hood teased me bad about it... until my boobs grew in." She grinned and cupped them, looking down at them in contemplation, "Once these babies decided to show all those boys who teased me were singing another tune." Her gaze flicked to his and her grin turned a little wicked, "And it was suddenly my turn to tease and walk away the victor."

"You sure you didn't just draw a knife on them?" Oberon asked with a sardonic snort. He just couldn't see her as the kind to be picked on, even as a kid. There was too much fire, too much drive, in her for that. It drew him, like a moth to a flame. She was no weak willed puppy to roll over at the first sign of a struggle. He shifted to kiss her bellybutton, smirking up at her.

Vella grinned, the muscles on her abdomen twitching a little in sensitivity, "Oh, I definitely did that whenever they mistook the understanding of 'no'." She reaching out and continued to run her fingers through his hair, giving him a little smile, "They run pretty fast when you've got a knife pressed to their balls. It was very entertaining."

Oberon laughed, a wide grin stretching his face as he pictured it. "Mess with a boy's manhood, would you? Not even the meanest tigress would do that, Vella! Hyenas, now, they'd think it a riot." He closed his eyes, leaning into her touch. Tilting his head, he sighed. "Keep that up, you know, and I might really just purr."

Vella grinned and continued her touch, scratching a little at his scalp, "Hey, a girl has to do whatever she can to survive the streets on the Bronx " she shrugged, relaxing under him as her eyes closed, "But as long as you keep me haply I probably won't go after your man bits."

He bumped his head up into her hand before opening his eyes once more. "I'll keep that in mind." Despite the fact they'd done several shows in New York, he'd never seen the Bronx, or any other area of the city. Catching her gaze, he rose up and started to crawl his way up her body, unhurried, smooth, the focused stalk of a predator.

As Oberon moved Vella's brow lifted. She laughed a little at the focused gaze, at what she could only call his 'stalker' stare. It amused her, causing her to smile as she lifted her hands to his face and framed it, "You've already got me under you, Kitty-Cat, so why do you have that hunter's gleam in your eyes?"

He smirked as he reached her face, diving down for a possessive kiss. "Talking is all well and good, Citrus," he growled as he came up for air, rolling his hips up into her, "but neither of us came here for that." He turned his head to nip her palm. He followed that up with a kiss, lathing the spot with his tongue.

Vella laughed, "Oh, so you're an all action tiger, huh?" She teased, her free hand trailing down his chest, nails scraping a little, "But I still hear you talking." She leaned up and pressed her lips back to his, giving him her own possessive kiss. At this moment he was her. He wouldn't be outside of this room, but for now, here, he was hers.

Grinning, Oberon said, "You're right. I should fix that." He kissed her again, one hand dipping between her legs for round three. He didn't know how long this little break in his hell would last, but he planned to stretch the idyll out for as long as possible. That way, even after she was gone he would still keep the memory of her citrus scent with him to make him smile.

Very early in the morning - just as the sun was rising - Vella slipped from the bed. It was a well practiced move, on that left her partner for the night still sleeping. She silently grabbed her clothes and dressed, then exited the RV. The night had been fun - so much so that she may repeat it - but now it was morning. She was actually fairly surprised that she'd spent so much time with Oberon last night... and that she'd fallen asleep with him next to her.

Logan
Later that morning - just after the sun rose - Logan shifted in his sleep. His arms tightening around Leah. He rolled a little so that Leah was back on the bed and his face was pressed to her neck.

Not long after Vella left, Oberon stretched, eyes still closed, and let out a massive yawn. While he would have loved to sleep longer, habit had him rising early. Rolling, he reached across the narrow bed, frowning when his grasp came up empty. He peeked his eyes open, but still, no warm woman to cuddle. With another loud yawn he finally lifted his head. The RV was empty. Well then. He was starting to get a handle on the kind of woman Vella was. Rolling over, he rubbed at the pawprint on his left hip, then arched his back, groaning as the joints popped. He'd let Vella run for now, but she'd be back. She just didn't know it yet.

Leah
And early riser anyways, Leah was drowsing when Logan shifted. She was still snuggled close, wrapped around him. Or, to be more precise, she clung to him like velcro while he wrapped around her. It was comforting and warm and made her feel secure. Purring, she rubbed her cheek against his, the rasp of his morning stubble calling up a memory long forgotten and just out of reach. Yet it was soothing somehow. She sighed happily, purring even louder.

As the morning progressed Vella went for a small run. She doubted Richard would appreciate her running outside the circus premises, so instead she just ran the perimeter. When she was done the sun was up and Vella hoped that Oberon had vacated her RV. She needed a shower. She jogged her way to the door, stepping in.

Logan
Logan woke to the sound of Leah's purring, a smile on his face. He nuzzled his face into her neck for a little longer before lifting his head. He smiled down at her, one hand lifting to brush the hair from her face, "Good morning."

He was still there when she returned, lounging on the bed as he waited. He'd debated on heading back to his RV, but the fact Leah had yet to return made a convenient excuse not to. They still had a few hours before they had to set up for the day's first show, and he intended to enjoy the little bit of leisure time. He looked up as the door open, the mingled scent of citrus and sweat preceding Vella into the RV. "Morning," he said, giving her a lazy smile.

Leah smiled into his touch. "Good morning," she responded. "Sleep well?" She suddenly missed the feel of his cheek on hers, but said nothing. "I did. Like being wrapped in a big old teddy bear!" She giggled, reaching up to return the favor.

Vella stopped at the door and stared at him. She didn't say anything at first, just tried to wrap her mind around the fact that he was still here. When she felt that she could speak with a bland voice she nodded, "Morning." And then started going through her suitcase - she'd yet to unpack - and grabbed some clothes for the say. She then - without saying anything else - went into the small bathroom for a shower.

Logan
Logan laughed, nodding his head, "Yeah. I slept well." He shifted them again, this time so that she was resting on his chest and his back agains the bed, "I'm glad I didn't roll over and squish you." It was one of his worries. He was so much bigger than her...

He resisted the urge to laugh at the look on her face. She'd obviously been hoping he would be gone. Poor thing. She'd fed the stray, now she was stuck with him. Curious, he crawled across the bed to her suitcase. She'd be mad at him, but he couldn't help it. He wanted to got through her stuff. Though if he was honest with himself, a shower did sound perfect about now.

"No, you didn't squish me," she said, shifting to get comfortable in the new position. "You're a very considerate teddy bear." She giggled, looking up at him. Pressing her hand to his chest, she lifted herself up to look him in the eye. "Besides, if you did squish me, I'd just pound on you until you woke up, problem solved!"
