You're Not Alone (Revived)

Casey had been crying for at least an hour at home having just found out the worst news that could imagine for her life at the moment. It was all over now everything she'd planned everything that she'd wanted for herself had to change. How could she be so stupid? How did she let it happen and with him? Of all the people in the world it had to be Logan. She knew even before it started it wouldn't last nothing lasted so that wasn't a surprise but this, this was something that wouldn't go away no matter how much she pretended it wasn't true the word seemed to glare at her even all the way from the bathroom and it was imprinted in her mind pregnant. It wasn't a lie the three tests proved it and she had to tell Logan though she could already imagine the conversation in her head. He just wasn't the type to have kids or want them and she couldn't blame him they weren't in her plan for a couple years. Sighing or rather sobbing she stood up wiped her eyes and calmed herself down before grabbing her keys and leaving her little apartment locking the door behind her and hoping into her little blue Honda but before she left she sent Logan a message saying she was coming over it was simple indirect and with no real meaning so he wouldn't leave before she got their to avoid the conversation any conversation really. she pulled out of the parking and within fifteen minutes she was parked in front of Logan's house. It took a couple minutes to get up the nerve to walk up to the house but she managed knocking on the door though it was fairly light because she fighting the urge not to because not only did she not want to talk with Logan she had been avoiding the house and any possibility of running into Jared.

Logan groaned as he stretched across the bed arms reaching out for his phone to check the time though he was surprised to see a message from Casey she'd pretty much been avoiding him for the past two days and he figured it was a girl thing or her classes whatever she was taking honestly he couldn't really remember much. She was smart so it was something with advanced science and math and he only remembered that because he was always tripping over those fucking books at her apartment. He wasn't really in a mood to see her mostly because well it was getting boring especially since Jared had a hot new thing though he'd only seen her a few times because he tried to keep her the house as little as possible when he was there and he couldn't blame him, it wasn't his fault all his girls wanted to upgrade. Jared sighed as he got out of bed throwing on a pair of pants but he didn't leave the room he just waited going back to his bed, staring at the ceiling. Now would be as good of time as any to break it off with Casey they'd had a nice run but it was getting stale and all she ever seemed to do was work or study and that really pissed Logan off. He was more important than those stupid things so he decided it was done though he'd probably go another round or two with her before breaking it off. His head turned when he heard a knock on the door it was soft and he was almost sure it wasn't a knock that is until he heard someone walking to the door but he still didn't bother to get up if it was Casey she'd just find her way to his room.

Jared glanced down at the watch that he wore on his right wrist as he aimlessly flipped through the channels of the television. Today, Alyssa would be coming over to pick him up for their date, and the less time they spent inside of the house, the better. The last thing that he needed was for her to run into his brother, Logan, since that turned out so well last time. It was always a custom with the Collins brothers that Logan would end up stealing Jared's girlfriends. Apparently, Logan had this irresistible charm that only worked on Jared's girlfriends. This time, he would not let it happen. His heart still ached at the remembrance of Casey breaking up with him, and he was not about to have a repeat. Shaking the thought from his mind, he patiently waited by the front door and jumped at the sound of knocking on the door, automatically thinking that it was Alyssa. Jared gave a light jog to the front door and opened it was a small smile forming on his face. "Hey, Aly-" He cut off, realizing who was actually at his front door. Carly. That was one of the last people he wanted to see at the moment. Clearing his throat slightly, his eyes quickly shifted to anywhere but in front of him. "Oh, uh, Carly. How are you? Um, I don't even know if my brother's home." He shrugged his shoulders slightly, moving aside from the door to let her in. Jared could barely tell the difference between when Logan was home or not, considering how he was not there half the time anyway. "You could check his room though." He offered while slowly closing the door behind her, glancing to see if Alyssa's car was in the distance.

Giving herself one last glance in the mirror, Alyssa smiled then grabbed her purse and car keys before leaving the house to get Jared. She had recently started dating him, but he had opened up to her about the strained relationship with Logan. It explained why he had her avoiding the Collins household like the plague. Even though she was sure that Logan would never get to her, she agreed to put him at ease. It was quite shocking to her how well they clicked even though it had been a few week. Jared's house was a couple blocks over from her own, so she arrived within ten minutes and knocked her knuckles lightly against the door.

"Thanks." Casey said imply. She couldn't believe how unlucky she was to have Jared open the door. She kept her eyes on the ground hoping he wouldn't or at least ignore her puffy eyes. If this went as she thought it would only take thirty minutes tops. It's not like she expected him to help her out or care she knew him well enough to know after a fight and she walked out the door she'd probably never see him again so she didn't even see the need to tell him and she almost just turned around and walked out that door but suddenly a wave of nausea hit her. "Oh god." She managed before taking off to the nearest bathroom the door shutting behind her as she fell to her knees vomiting. She knew that was going to get old and it was going to old real fast as was everything else. Her doctor dreams would have to be put on hold and she was already so close to getting the hard pre-requisites out of the way and it was all just a waste because that wasn't going to happen. She rolled her eyes as another round of sickness hit her but she rolled her eyes because she heard Logan's voice when the door opened and a female voice was added into the mix.

What got him up wasn't the sound of Casey's voice it was that second knock the one he knew had to belong to Alyssa. Maybe some people would think it was immature to compete with his brother but Logan wouldn't really call it a competition if he was always the one winning. He gave his charming little smile as he walked down the stairs shirtless of course as per usual the only time he wore a shirt was when he left the house. "Well hello you must be Alyssa. " He said stopping on the final step. He wasn't really paying much attention to the fact that Casey took off to the bathroom and he could hear her puking and he figured then she'd been avoiding him because she had the flu and now she came to infect him. He hear the flush and the door open but didn't turn around to notice her trying to support herself against the wall.

As soon as the door had fully closed and he turned, Jared was startled by her sudden dash down the hallway. She disappeared as soon as she made the left, and he quickly rushed over to ask what was wrong. That was when the door was promptly slammed in his face and immediately followed the sounds of Casey vomiting into the toilet bowl. Between the nights of rubbing her back when she had the stomach flu to getting drunk together, he was immune to the whole entire thing. "Casey?" He called out to her, knocking on the bathroom door. "Casey? A-Are you alright?" Jared glanced around the room, looking for his cell phone to possibly call for help. "Do you need me to take you to the hospital? Talk to me." He questioned, hoping that she would answer him. It was not long afterward when he heard Logan's voice accompanied by Alyssa's. Jared was torn between rushing out to intervene with the interaction and staying with Casey by the door, but he could not bring himself to abandon her. Alyssa would just have to deal with his brother for the time being. When the door opened, Jared rushed inside to help her off of the floor as she could barely lean against the wall. "Logan! You have to come help Casey!" He frowned in his direction.

Alyssa paused for a moment when Jared did not answer the door, wondering if he had not heard it or was in the bathroom. She found the at the front door was unlocked and assumed that it had been open for her and stepped inside of the house. "Jared?" She called out to him, looking around but to no avail. That was when the sound of footsteps came from the stairs, and she turned her head to see a man coming down the stairs without a shirt on. "And you must be Logan." She quickly identified while darting her eyes around for Jared, but it seemed he was still preoccupied. "Um, do you know where Jared might be?" She asked but just caught his voice coming from down the hall. Alyssa could have sworn he had said the name Casey though. When he reappeared from down the hall, Jared helping some unknown girl who looked deathly pale. She rushed over to help her by moving around Logan, seeing how weak she was. "Oh my god, are you alright?" Alyssa looked over in Logan's direction since it seemed like he could care less.

Casey sighed nodding. "I - I'm fine." She lied as she tried to stand. She knew that her classes and all nighters were probably taking its tole on her along with being pregnant and working. She barely slept and it didn't eat to much considering she rushed from school to work to home to study she needed straight A's to get into a good medical school and she had her heart set on John's Hopkins but now it would just be a distant dream for a little while or maybe forever. And with all that she still had to find time for Logan though she didn't know why he'd always tried to get her to put school on hold and just work so she could waste her time doing what he wanted whenever he wanted until he got tired of her. "Thank you." She said trying to Manage a smile for the two that seemed concerned. "I - I will be okay I think."

Logan rolled his eye's at Casey though he wasn't looking at her so they couldn't see it. She was just being over dramatic like always though usually it was just with her words and storming of when they got into a fight. He sighed turning around and expecting her to be well not looking like she was about to collapse. He put on a face of concern just because their was a new set of eyes on him and we'll he couldn't come off as a complete ass and he assumed that Jared had already told her about him so he was at a slight disadvantage. But he'd just have to step up the game a little maybe keep Casey around for a little bit longer just until he knew Alyssa would be a sure thing but obviously she would. "Obviously you're not alright." He stated slightly annoyed
Though he really had no idea what to do. He'd never really taken care of her when she was sick mostly left her to herself.

Jared could tell from the way she forced herself to stand that she was not alright and sent his brother a side glance. At least he was able to find some ounce of sympathy in his heart to realize that she was not feeling well. "Casey, maybe you should go to the hospital? You look completely pale. Logan can take you." He stated, hoping to reassure her. Of course, Logan would not want to take his sick girlfriend to the hospital, but Jared knew that Casey had never caught anything that could make her barely stand. He rubbed her back soothingly without even realizing it and could not help but be worried. Guiding her over to the couch, he made her sit in hopes of pulling herself together and flickered his eyes in Alyssa's direction. This was not how he wanted their date to start, especially since it was his ex-girlfriend and older brother. Hopefully, she would be able to get over the situation and the awkwardness.

Alyssa nodded her head to agree with Logan's statement since Casey was not feeling well. Even though Casey tried to ease their worries, there was no way for them to relax. "If you're not feeling well, it's alright to admit it." Alyssa softly suggested. A part of her had a sixth sense about what was going on with Casey's body, but Alyssa decided it would be best to keep her mouth. The only time she had ever seen a woman that sick was when her mother became pregnant with her little brother. The throwing up, the weakness, the paleness in the face. They all pointed in one direction for her. At the same time, Alyssa knew that this sense could always be off and did not want to make a wrong assumption. Alyssa sighed as they placed her down onto the couch and stepped back to give her some space. Her eyes met Jared's to see the apologetic expression, but she merely shook her head slightly in response. This was something that was out of his hands and that was completely fine with her. Jared could always make it up to her during their date anyway.

"It's fine. Really it's just I think it's finals or something overly stressed. I don't need to go to the hospital." Casey assured as they sat her down. "Maybe I just took a course or two too many." She said with a fake smile. She didn't need to go to the hospital at least she didn't think so and mostly she didn't want to she didn't like hospitals. She really wished she could just call her dad he knew everything to say that could make her feel better but it wasn't possible he died almost three years ago when she was seventeen and everyday she wished it would go back she didn't even touch the money he left her from insurance because it just meant it was real though everyday proved to be real this was just something he would have reassured her with. He'd convince her that it was typically normal even if she was pregnant she'd probably worked herself to hard like she always did and her body was working overtime as it was. She sighed finally giving into the inner-voice of her father, she looked at Logan and then the others. "I think I'll go to the hospital." She said softly knowing it was probably the best way to tell Logan that would hopefully have him less aggressive.

Logan sighed as he heard her words of course he was going to have to drive her to the hospital because she was an over dramatic little bitch. "Do you need to rest first?" He asked taking her hand laughing internally when she almost pulled his hand away. He was well not exactly acting how he did when they met which was anything he could do that would get them in the sac and it had worked out pretty well with Casey though it wasn't easy and compared to the previous girlfriend who was well as easy to bag as it was to open the door. "Should we go now?" He asked still a little uncomfortable but as soon as he was away from Alyssa it wouldn't matter honestly he could wait tell they left but it's look pretty bad if Casey died on the couch and from the way she was looking she was pretty close to death at least she looked like death.

Jared was easily able to identify the lie as soon as it left her mouth, knowing that it had not been the course load. Casey was always the person who refused to procrastinate and stayed on the ball with assignments. If it had not been for her, he may not have passed some of his classes. "Good, good." He mumbled, feeling the tension in his shoulders melt away. Running a hand through his hair, he turned to his brother and hoped that Logan had a shred of humanity left to take her. "Logan, you better stay by her side the entire time." Jared stated since Casey needed Logan right now. Even though he wanted to stay by her side and make sure that nothing would go wrong, Casey was only an awkward acquaintance now, if anything. It was not in his position to overshadow his brother. Clearing his throat, Jared turned to Alyssa and jerked his head toward the door. "I think we can head out now. Logan will take care of Casey." With that, he grabbed his jacket from the coat rack and walked out to Alyssa's car in the driveway.

Alyssa nodded her head when Casey finally agreed to go to the hospital since it was for the best. If there was something truly wrong with her, the doctors would be able to make her feel better. Glancing over her shoulder, she met Logan's gaze. There was a trace of annoyance in his expression even though he attempted to appear willing. "The faster you both leave, the faster you will return." She encouraged then turned to Jared, seeing his gesture. Alyssa slowly made her way toward the door since she was unable to shake off the feeling from before. "I hope it's nothing more than a nasty bug." She offered a small smile, readjusting the strap of her bag. She stepped outside of the house while rummaging through her bag to fish out her car keys. "Well, I was not expecting that." Alyssa laughed when she unlocked the car doors and slid inside of the driver's seat.

Casey sighed softly when they left. She'd had this feeling that was not easy to ignore when Jared left. "Let's go." Logan muttered grabbing the keys to his Harley.

"I'm not getting on that. We take my car." She stated taking the keys to her Honda and trying to stand. Logan looked annoyed with her as he wrapped an arm to keep her from falling and took the keys to her car from her and driving to the hospital. The tension in the car was nearly impossible to take but in no time they were at the hospital and checked in. When Logan walked away she told the lady at the desk that she was pregnant and all of her symptoms and in less then twenty minutes she was in the back with Logan. They took her blood tested her temperature and checked her vitals and left.

Logan sighed annoyed by having to be there. It was so boring and felt like forever tell the doctor came in he was somewhat young and looked tired but concern was on his face before he spoke. "How long have you known you were pregnant?" He asked and his were a shock to Logan he felt all the blood rush from his face.

"I just found out today." Casey said softly looking at her hands in her lap as she sat at the table.

"Okay. But you know even with this your records state that you're anemic and a diabetic yet your levels are high. It's very concerning." He stated though by the look on Casey's face she knew it was bad. She'd been feeling pretty good and didn't really feel the need to keep up with her stupid diet it was hard to keep up with that and everything else. "You need to find an OBGYN and until they say otherwise you'll need to do minimal activity. Take you're medication and you'll need to increase your iron intake and follow your diet plan." He said before leaving the room. Logan said nothing for the remainder of the time at the hospital just stared though he was slowly filling with rage.

When they finally got in the car he started screaming and just wouldn't stop. He was screaming about nothing and everything. He asked how she could ruin his life like it was all her fault and of course his yelling prompted her own. How could he accuse her of something like that, she had a plan and this was not a part of it tell she was at least 28. It seemed like they screamed in the small car for hours even as they parked in front of the house. "I hope that fucking thing dies with you!" Logan screamed smacking her across the face before slamming the car door and storming into his house where he went straight to his room towing as many of his things against the wall as he could before slamming his fist into the wall.

Casey sat in the car tears streaming down her face. It'd gone about how she predicted at least he had waited tell they were out of the hospital before starting his shit. She stared down at her lap trying to find the motivation to get up and go to the driver's side but his words stung more than her cheek from where he slapped her.

Alyssa inserted the key into the ignition and glanced over in Jared's direction, waiting for him to say something in return. "I am really sorry about that, Lyss," He finally started off to break the silence that had settled. "The last thing I expected was to have you run into my brother and my ex-girlfriend in one day," He sincerely apologized accompanied with a small sigh. Reaching over the console, he placed his hand gently on top of hers.

"It's okay. That was nothing compared to some of the situations I have been through. Besides, I think it's really sweet that you are still that concerned for her well-being after everything," She responded, hoping to ease his worries. "Let's just have some peace in mind knowing that Casey is going to the hospital to have the doctors check on her. I'm sure that Logan will tell us if something major is wrong." With that said, she reached out to place the car into reverse and backed out of the driveway a few moments after Casey's car.

Together, the two started their date by grabbing some lunch at one of the local restaurants to simply talk about their lives for the past few days. It gave Alyssa the time to left off some steam by discussing about how stressful college was, especially with being a pre-law major. In turn, Jared would listen to her troubles and offer some advice to manage with the stress. "I mean, what does the professor really expect from us? To write in our sleep?" She groaned with the shake of the head when the waiter came over to place their food onto the table.

"Hey, you'll be fine. You always find a way to work through all of that stuff, and this is what you love. You can do this. Me, on the other hand, I'm still undeclared." Jared lightly joked then turned to thank the waiter. After their delightful lunch, the couple planned to return home since Alyssa still had some work to finish up, and Jared still could not get Casey's health out of his mind. It had distracted him quite a bit during their time together. Alyssa pulled into the driveway of his house and noticed that Casey's car was back in the driveway. Hopefully, that meant good news. "Let me know how Casey's doing, okay?" She requested then leaned over to place a light kiss on his lips.

Jared gave a small nod in return then hopped out of the truck to saunter up to the front steps while giving a small wave to Alyssa as she backed out to return home. Out of the corner of his eye, he could clearly see that Casey was sitting inside of her car with a distraught expression. A small frown spread across his lips as he made his way over to the passenger side of the car, knocking on the window. "Casey? What's wrong? What did the doctors tell you?" He questioned since it was clear that he was worried about what had occurred. It only intensified when he realized that her eyes were all puffy and red, indicating that she had been crying for quite some time. Of course, only his brother would leave his girlfriend to cry by herself.

Casey looked over at Jared nearly jumping out of her skin. "I'm fine. I just haven't been taking care of myself and it's affecting me more now." She admitted as she opened the door deciding now would be a good time to leave. "I was doing fine I guess I made myself believe it would all just go away but it got worse and then I find out that everything is over and it's not okay. " She muttered looking at Jared as she got out of the car using the door for support. "I should go in case he comes back I don't think I can handle anymore of his comments." Casey said softly wiping her eyes.

Jared could see that there was a part of the story that she was not telling him, but he did not want to push further. Maybe it was a matter that was between Casey and Logan. "Everything will get better, Cas, " He told her reassuringly, unable to kick the habit of using her nickname. "Just give it some time. I am sure that whatever Logan did will wash over," Jared stated since it was always Logan's fault. Although, her words only clarified what he had initially thought. "What did he say to you?" He asked out of curiosity since he had never seen her so upset before. Casey was never the type to be upset of the small things in life and only furthered his worries. Even though Jared had tried to explain Logan's nature to her, Casey was too infatuated to see the truth before her eyes before she left him. "I'll go kick his ass. You know I will."

Casey's eye's teared over again and a sob caught in her throat at the thought of Logan's words. The only way he would understand it was if she told him but she wasn't sure she could say anything. "He he found out that I-I got pregnant and-and he said he hoped we both die." She said through sobs as she wiped her eyes finally closing the door to her car. She knew what Logan was like and his words hadn't shocked her they just hurt her even though she knew that he would probably be the least enthusiastic about it. "I-I should. I'm sorry for bothering you Jared." She commented after a moment before she attempted to go around to the other side. "I-it's not your problem you don't need to do anything." Casey murmured softly stepping around him.

"W-What?" Jared was unable to contain his surprise at both statements. He never imagined that Logan would go as far as to wish that a person died let alone his own child. An acute amount of anger built up in his system at the mere idea of Logan saying that to Casey. "H-Hey," He called out to her as she attempted to step around him, moving in her path. "Let me go talk to him, so just.. just stay here. He's obviously not thinking clearly. Y-You're carrying his child, and he can't just say something like that and expect everything to be alright," Jared glanced back toward the house and hoped that Casey would stay for a moment. Hopefully, Logan would change his mind. Giving her a reassuring smile, he ran inside of the house to confront his brother on the matter. "Logan!" He yelled while running upstairs to his room, barging right into his room. "What the hell is wrong with you?! Casey is pregnant with your child, and you just wish that they would both die. What kind of person would say that?" He demanded, holding himself back from a fist fight.

Casey nodded simply as she watched Jared walk away. It was stupid she knew Logan wouldn't change his mind but it gave her a little ease to see he was supportive but it wasn't what she deserved she deserved for him to hate her to say she'd brought it on herself.

Logan had call apse on his bed after pretty much destroying his room in a rage he glared as his brother barged into his room. Of course that bitch was still there and she'd gotten to his brother with her sob story. "I don't know if that thing is even mine." He growled why couldn't it just go away he'd hope that it was all a dream but he wasn't that lucky and his injured hand seemed to scream at him demanding him to know it was all real. "It's not a child anyway not yet it's a fucking parasite. And I think we both know I'm hardly a decent person. I am not a fucking person to be a dad that's for fucking sure." He admitted as he looked at him.
