A Thousand Temptations

"I told you, it was like I literally walked into the persons house, "I told my friend, "They invited me to stay for dinner but I freaked out and was super embarrassing! It looked like a restaurant and I didn't think people lived in that district!"

I whined a little,"Either way, I'm never doing that again," I said snorting a little as I sipped my coffee then began picking at her muffin, "the entire situation was so horrifying, I swear I probably like flew out of there so fast they might not have even seen me leave,"

I laughed a little, taking a sip of my bubble tea. "Well next time show me where, I wouldn't mind a free dinner." I grinned, stirring it around and watching the bubbles spin. "This stuff is so good, I have no idea why they don't sell it in America more." I murmured, taking another sip.

"Alright, so what exciting thing is going to happen today?" I asked, only half listening to what was going on around me. I heard the bell on the door ring, but I paid it no mind. It was white noise mixed in with the chatter of the other customers talking.

I sighed,"No idea to be..honest.." I said trailing off as I stared behind her, this was not happening. I swallowed hard and busied myself with my drink and muffin then stared at Jazmin with wide eyes. This way she would know that someone was here, and that she should totally turn around. However, it wasn't just someone it was more like six someones. I nearly choked on my coffee when I saw Yixing and Minseok, my heart was nearly beating out of my chest.

"Turn around," I whispered and looked down at my drink stirring it when they turned to look at me.

I narrowed my eyes slightly, seeing her begin to act bizarrely. "...Why..?" I asked, staring at her. She had scared me, turning around was the last thing I wanted to do. "What's happening?" I asked her intently, wondering why she was so focused on her drink.

"Marissa, why do you look like an owl? What happened?"

"Jazmin, who owns this place again?" she said looking at her napkin and tapping it a few times as she licked her lips. "Now, look behind you," she said as calmly as she could and crossed her legs as she didn't take her eyes off Jazmin because she could feel them staring at her - it was making her sweat.

'fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck' she thought to herself as she finished off her coffee.

I stared at her, knowing exactly who owned this place. I ran a hand through my hair and composed my face, making it look like I was just looking around. I turned and scanned the cafe, my heart stuttering and I having to turn around. I only recognized two or three others in the short time I turned, but I definitely saw Jongin. And when I turned he was looking right at me. I turned back to Marissa and sighed a little, staring at my cup. "Alright, I get it. What are they doing?" I asked, staring straight at her.

"Staring," she murmured softly as she licked her lips a little then chewed on the inside of her cheek lightly, when she looked over again she saw Minseok making his way over to them with a small smile on his face, and Jongin grabbing two chairs setting them so they could sit with them.

"We're gonna die," she said to her in english nodding a little, she was positive.

I stared straight at her but saw when Minseok walked into my peripheral. "Die quietly, and don't let it show." I murmured, also seeing Jongin set a chair to my right, and Minseok sit to my left. Tao who also happened to be there, l saw sitting down next to Minseok. I looked at her and then down, not knowing what to say. But they had obviously come over for a reason.

"Uh, Hi." I said out loud, not really knowing who to address.

Minseok smiled a little and nodded. "Hi." He said with a smile in english before switching to Korean. "We heard you speaking in Korean a bit earlier, are you comefortable using that instead?" He asked, looking at me before urning to look at Marissa.

She gave a small nod, "Sure," she said softly as she set her phone down face down so they couldn't see her screen picture, which just so happened to be a picture of Minseok's half naked body. 'I really hope he didn't see that,' she thought to herself. She wasn't sure why they were sitting next to them, but she didn't really know what else to say.

"We're not used to seeing foreigners so young here," he smiled a little,"So it's nice that my sisters cafe actually brought some in," Jongin said with a small smile as he looked at Jazmin. Marissa couldn't help but snicker a little and shove her phone in her purse for safe keeping - it should be good; unless it rang. Another dilema she'd deal with at a later date.

"Uhm, my name is Marissa and this is Jazmin," she smiled a little.

I smiled a little and nodded, keeping my eyes on the table. I looked up only to look back down because Jongin was staring at me.I wasn't sure how to react to that.

"Well we heard the drinks were amazing, so... we wanted to see for ourselves." I said, looking back up and forcing myself to look at him.

Minseok nodded a little and smiled. "Do you know Exo?" He asked curiously. "I don't mean to sound rude, what I mean is, are you fans?"

She laughed a little and looked at Jazmin for a moment, "Yes, yes we do," she said smiling a little then licking her lips as she waited for the onslaught of questions. Jongin's eyes seemed to light up at this news, who was her bias he needed to know - he felt the urge to ask if it was him straight up.

Minseok smiled a little. "Really? Can I ask who your favorite is?" He asked curiously, looking back and forth between the two of them. He smiled at Marissa, thinking she was the most beautiful person he had ever seen.

I opened my mouth to speak but closed it immediately after. I'd wait to see if Marissa answered.

She looked at her hands for a moment before sighed a bit,"Uhm, why don't you tell me who you think it is?" she offered with a small smile as she looked at Minseok then took a bite of her muffin.

Jongin smiled, "I think.... "Jongin smiled, he knew he should guess like this just incase he was wrong but he looked at Jazmin and smirked. "I'm your favorite," he said nodding a little.

I turned to look at him but felt a smile coming the second I saw him. I couldn't believe I was even having a conversation with him, it was surreal. "Actually it's a secret. So I won't tell you if you're wrong or right."

Minseok smiled a little as he looked at her. "Is it...me?" He asked her with a small smile. He was hoping it was, he'd guess himself before anyone else.

She let out a breath, of course he chose himself - why wouldn't he. Teasingly she pushed his chair to the side since he was like right on her, "Can you can your eight pack sit closer to Jongin," she laughed a little, her cheeks burning slightly.

Yixing inhaled to laugh as he took a drink and shot bubble tea out his nose as he started laugh forcing Marissa to burst into a fit of laughter.

Jongin looked at everyone else like they were crazy as he'd been too concerned with her to realize what was going on.

I laughed a little, shaking my head at Minseok's expression. He looked shocked but smiled regardless. "So, you've seen it. Are you impressed?" He asked with a small smile, his eyes on hers.

I looked at Jongin's expression, he must not have been paying attention. "So, are you all on a break?" I asked curiously.

Jongin nodded,"A small one but we are yeah," he gave a small smile as he sighed a little,"It's nice to be able to relax, you?" he said to her.

She smiled a little,"Uhm, thats a ... yes I was... and at the same time I was proud and kind of wanted to smack you," she smiled a little and laughed nervously.

He smiled a little. "Smack me?" He asked in slight confusion. For some reason hearing that she was impressed made him happy. He had worked really hard to get where he was today.

I nodded a little. "It's a break for us as well. We had planned to go to your concert, but it sold out too quickly for us to get a ticket. So we're enjoying our time off work."

"It's a fan thing," she said nodding a little,"It's a good thing," she lightly as she licked her lips, "It was kind of inspiring actually," she said to him, "I knew you';d had a goal from day one and you went for it," she said to him.
