Tomorrow night? Myra typed, and then she hit send. Tucking her phone under her arm, she got to her feet and went into the kitchen. She placed her dirty dishes into the sink and as she was making her way back to the living room, she was struck by an overwhelming sense of urgency, something that always foretold a visit from the hooded figure that was supposed to guide Myra and Meykell through their mission.
Suddenly her living room fell into darkness and the hooded figure appeared, surrounded by a soft glow of light. "What do you want?" Myra shouted.
"You are on the right path," the figure rasped. "Do not stray."
Myra opened her mouth to say something else, but before she could the hooded figure was gone and the room had filled with light once more. Myra frowned. "Thanks for the help," Myra grumbled scathingly.
Johnny felt a surge of confidence wash over his body. Now he felt stupid for thinking this was a prank. Because his joke and Meykell's statement was true: he was a fucking catch.
"Well, first I'd like to do this." Allowing no time to second-guess himself, Johnny sat down his beer and kissed Meykell. He was glad when he felt her kiss him back. When they pulled apart Meykell seemed a bit flustered, and this made Johnny smirk. "And as for how I'd like the rest of the evening to go, that depends on how uh...adventurous you are."
