Matt raised an eyebrow as he followed them. He wanted to ask what she meant by funny business, but then he remembered it was Jimmy they were going to see, and Jimmy could do some crazy shit sometimes. But he also knew how loving and how kind-hearted his best friend was, and he knew that he'd never do anything that would hurt the child. Jimmy might be wild and crazy but he was also extremely intelligent. He was a lot smarter than he let on sometimes. He knew right from wrong, even though he could pull some crazy stunts sometimes.

After Madison helped Chase put his shoes on, he was all ready to go. "Alright, you two have fun," she said, giving Chase a kiss on his cheek and a big hug. "Momma loves you," she said, smiling when Chase quickly told her that he loved her took before booking for the door. "Oh wait, booster seat," she said, her eyes wide as she followed Chase out the door, going to her car and grabbing his seat. She was glad that this thing was so easy to change between cars. She'll also be glad when he didn't need it anymore.

Matt arched his brows. "Whoa, wait," he said, shaking his head. "You're coming with us." There was absolutely no way that he was able to handle this child on his own just yet. Sure, he'd been around other children before, and he'd babysat a few times for his neighbors when he was a teen, but he'd never fully been alone with a kid before, especially one he didn't really know, and he wasn't prepared for that yet. He didn't know when he would be, and right now, he would just feel safer if Madison tagged along until that time came.

Madison smirked, knowing he didn't want to go by himself with Chase yet. "If I have to," she groaned jokingly, going inside and grabbing her purse, locking up the house. She put Chase's seat in Matt's car, helping chase himself in before getting in the car herself. "Alright, let's go see Jimbo," she said with a big smile, waiting for Matt to hurry up and get in the car. She was actually excited to go and see Jimmy. She hadn't seen him in so long.

Matt got in and started his car, taking a deep breath. He knew it wouldn't be as hard facing Jimmy since he already knew, but it was still going to be hard. He knew Jimmy would probably be asking a lot of questions to him and Madison, and he just didn't want to answer them right now. He drove to Jimmy's house and parked the car in the driveway, walking up to the front door and knocking on it. He glanced back as Madison was pulling Chase out of the car when the front door opened. He looked at his best friend and grinned at him. "Hey, man," he said, pulling him into a big hug.

Madison looked up at Jimmy's house in awe, amazed at how gorgeous it was. She shook her head slightly, getting out and helping Chase out of the car. "Are we here, Momma?" he asked quietly, looking around and trying to see if he saw anything he recognized. "Yes, baby," she said softly, taking his hand and leading him up to the front door where Matt and Jimmy were talking. Her eyes widened when Jimmy yelled a bunch of nonsense, darting at her and picking her up, twirling her around before setting her back down. "Oh holy hell," she grumbled, feeling extremely dizzy. "I've missed you too, Jimmy." Madison grabbed ahold of Matt's arm, trying to keep her balance as she came down from that god awful dizzy spell. She looked over at Chase, giggling at the look on his face as he stared at Jimmy. His mouth was hanging wide open, his eyes were as big as saucers, and he couldn't utter a word. "It's okay, Chase, you can talk to him," she said, knowing this was probably a really huge moment for her son. He was meeting another one of his heroes.

Matt looked at Jimmy and took a deep breath. "Jimmy, this is Chase," he said. "Chase, this is Jimmy." He hesitantly reached down and picked the boy up so he could be a bit closer to Jimmy's height. Jimmy grinned as he looked at the little boy. "Hi," he greeted, amazed at how much he looked like Matt. From a distance, he looked exactly like his mother, but once you got up close and noticed all the little details of his face, you could tell he was Matt's son. He was beautiful, and Jimmy was already finding himself falling in love with the little boy.

Chase, for the first time ever, was actually being shy. Which really shocked Madison. She could never really figure out which one of the band members was Chase's favorite, but she was thinking that she just did. Chase waved slightly at Jimmy, smiling a little before turning and burying his face in Matt's shoulder, his face turning blood red. Madison raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms over her chest. "Really, you're seriously going to act like this," she said, sighing and shaking her head. She looked over at Jimmy, running her fingers through her hair. "He's not usually this shy," she said with an apologetic smile.

Jimmy frowned at the way Madison was handling this. It was totally okay for Chase to be shy, he understood. This was probably all very overwhelming for him. "It's okay," he said. "Why don't you guys come in?" He moved aside to let the crew in, shutting the door behind them. Matt knelt down. "Chase," he murmured. "You don't have to be shy. Jimmy's amazing, he's going to love you." Matt was hoping his words would open the boy up a little bit, but he wasn't sure what else to say to help him.

Madison walked in the house, looking around in complete awe again. She wondered if the rest of the guys' houses were as nice as Jimmy's. She looked over and watched Chase with Matt, biting down on her bottom lip. Chase looked between Madison and Matt, giving Matt a small smile and nodding. "Okay," he said softly, giving Matt a hug before glaring at Madison. Madison's eyes widened and she blinked, wondering what that look was for. She shrugged, deciding to just ignore it. She watched Chase run over to Jimmy, ranting about how he had a stallion duck and how he wanted to be a drummer.

Matt smiled as he watched Chase and Jimmy before he turned to Madison. "You were right," he said. "If I'm going to do this, I have to do it the right way. I need to be there for him full-time, out in public. I can't just half-ass being his father." He sighed softly. It was going to take a lot of courage, but he was M. fucking Shadows. He had the courage. He looked back over his shoulder and chuckled, knowing that Chase was going to be a handful. But he found it quite adorable that he was taking a liking to Jimmy and that he was his favorite.

Madison grinned, nodding. "I'm glad you think so," she said, sighing softly as she listened to Chase and Jimmy talk about stallion ducks. She was so glad that Chase was finally getting to meet Jimmy and most importantly, he finally got to meet his father. It was a dream come true to not only Chase, but Madison as well. She thought it would never happen, and even though she was okay if it never would have, she was so happy that it did. She didn't know if she would ever find a man worthy enough take the place of being Chase's father, so why not have Chase's actual father take the role? Not as her husband of corse, but yunno, his father. Even though Madison would love to have Matt back in her life romantically, it'd never happen.

Matt nodded his head. He could tell by the look on her face that she was kind of in awe seeing Jimmy's house. He chuckled softly and smiled. "We have nice places. Yours isn't too shabby, though, to be honest. If I was a bachelor, I'd probably be living in the same area," he said. But Val had wanted a big house. She'd wanted her dream house, and he'd tried his damned hardest to give it to her. Of course, she had her idea of how things were supposed to be, so she'd had to fix up a few things in the house that didn't really need to be fixed, but it all came together eventually. He thought for a minute, getting an idea. "Maybe you and Chase could come over for dinner sometime. You know, we wouldn't have to say anything yet, but maybe I could slowly introduce you guys into Val's life over time."

Madison desperately wanted to see Matt's house, so she jumped on the opportunity to have dinner there sometime. She nodded quickly, blushing slightly and smiling sheepishly. "That'd be nice," she said, folding her hands in front of her. She was sure that Matt's house was gorgeous, since Val had an amazing sense of style and probably had that place decorated like something from a magazine. Madison was totally jealous. "When I ran into Val at the hospital she said she wanted to get together and catch up. I'll make sure Chase doesn't say anything around her," she said with a small giggle, knowing how talkative Chase could be sometimes. Once he got to talking it was hard to keep him quiet. Whenever they went for dinner with Val, Madison was defintely going to have to set some ground rules.

Matt smiled and nodded his head. "I just hope he doesn't get confused by the whole situation," he said. "He's too young to know or understand what's going on right now. I don't want him getting involved in the adult business." Although, Matt knew that he would be involved eventually, when Val found out that Chase was his son. He didn't know when that would be, but he was dreading it, even now. "You know, I never did apologize for all of this," he said, glancing over at Chase. "I mean, I'm sorry that this had to happen to you."

Madison nodded. "I don't want him to either. But he won't get confused, he's pretty smart for his age," she murmured, furrowing her brows when he apologized for what she assumed was Chase. "Chase is the best thing that's ever happened to me. If I didn't have him, I don't even know where i'd be right now," she said with a small shrug. "So don't apologize. And it wasn't like he was made from a one night stand, we did have something together. I don't know what it was or what you want to call it, but it was something," she said, her eyes widening when she heard a bunch of loud drum noises, looking around for a now gone Chase and Jimmy. They must've snuck off when her and Matt were having their conversation.

Matt bit his lip hard. He wanted to tell her that she was wrong, that what they had wasn't something, because it hadn't been for him. He hadn't had feelings for her. For him, it was good sex while he was away from Val, and that was it. He hadn't been aware of her feelings, and he didn't want to tell her any differently and hurt her. So he kept his mouth shut and gave her a small nod. He raised an eyebrow at the sound of Jimmy's drums and he chuckled softly. "Come on," he said, nodding for her to follow him as he led her to Jimmy's music room where he sat at his drums with Chase in his lap, banging on the drums.

Madison saw the look on her face that instantly told her that she was alone in this situation. So maybe she had been the only one with feelings back then, but it didn't matter anymore. Even though the more she thought about it, the more upset she got. She bit down on her bottom lip and followed Matt to where Chase and Jimmy were, smiling when she saw how happy her son looked sitting there banging on those drums. He was having the time of his life right now and Madison couldn't be any happier for him

Matt smiled as he watched Jimmy show Chase how to play. He had a feeling the boy would grow up to be an insane drummer just like his uncle. He grinned at the idea he got, biting his lip gently. He was going to get the little boy a drumset for his birthday. A small one, of course, more his size. It wouldn't exactly be like Jimmy's, but it would get him going on the right track. He walked over and picked up a sheet of paper that seemed out of place, reading the lyrics on the page that Jimmy had jotted down. He raised an eyebrow and smiled. These were actually pretty damn good. He turned and looked at Jimmy. "You wrote these?" he questioned. The drummer looked up at his friend and nodded his head.

Madison looked over Matt's shoulder, reading the lyrics on the paper. They were really good. She grinned, beginning to walk around the room and examine random shit that Jimmy had. He had a lot of weird looking instruments in here, stuff that Madison has never seen in her life, which made her wonder where the hell he'd even get something like this from. She shook her head, turning and watching chase. She gave him a big thumbs up when he looked at her and smiled. He eventually stopped playing, which Madison was honestly thankful for.
