Blake entered his house, already in a sour mood even though it was only 3:00. His boss had fired him, and he was so frustrated he felt the need to punch something. Or someone. "Eliza, I'm home," he said, though he doubted she had heard.

Eliza was in the kitchen doing the dishes. She had the water running as she put some dishes in the dishwasher. She didn't hear Blake call for her. "Yeah Blaire I am telling you this guy was totally checking me out at work yesterday." Blaire was her best friend and they had been friends since they were girls in high school before Eliza met Blake. She laughed holding the phone up to her ear with her shoulder as she worked. She shut the water off and wiped her hands. "Yeah I should go I need to go get some groceries. We have nothing in this house." she said and turned again and gasped dropping the phone as she saw Blake. "Blake what the hell you scared me." she said and laughed her eyes lighting up with delight in seeing him. She reached down picking up the phone. "Sorry Blaire...Yeah. I'll talk to you later. Bye." she said and hung up setting the phone on the counter. "You're home early." she said and moved to him wrapping her arms around him and kissed him. "What is it?" she asked as she pulled back noticing something was wrong with him.

"Who's the guy?" I asked with a raise of an eyebrow. I certainly didn't like other men checking out my Eliza, and it infuriated me as she laughed it off as if it was nothing. "Just some guy from work," she said innocently.

"If he's just some guy from work, then I guess you wouldn't mind if I asked for his name?" I asked, tapping my foot impatiently as I waited for an answer. I was going to have a little chat with this mystery guy, and see if he still thinks hitting on my woman was such a great idea.

"Blake..." Eliza chuckled and cupped his cheek. "Baby why are you so upset? He was just some customer." she said and kissed his jaw. She rubbed his chest and looked up at him batting her eyelashes at him sweetly. "Why are you home so early Blake? Did something happen?" she asked sending that he hadn't come home just to surprise her again. He had been telling her his boss was getting sick of him calling off. Eliza realized that she was a distraction to Blake and made him just want to stay home with her... in their bed.

"My stupid boss fired me today. He complained about how I call in so many times, but I don't really give a fuck," I grumbled. "And, I just get jealous sometimes. You're mine, and I hate it when other guys think they could just flirt with you and get away with it," I said before pulling her against me. "God, why do you have to be so damn beautiful," I mumbled, rubbing at her sides with my hands.

Eliza giggled as Blake pulled her close. "I am yours so you don't need to get jealous. And don't change the subject with flattery." she said and sighed kissing his cheek. "He fired you huh?" she sighed. That was the third time in the last year. She was going to have to pick up another shift at the bar until he could find something that would work better for him. "What if you get a bartending degree? That way you can look out for me and we can be together more?" she asked and wrapped her arms around his neck bitting her lower lip. She was worried about how they were going to make rent if he kept this up. Eliza ran a hand through her hair. He needed something were they would be more understanding.

I smirked. "Damn it, I thought you loved flattery," I told Eliza. "Well, being a bartender isn't such a bad idea. And like you said, we would be able to spend more time together," I hoped that I would get a steady job this year, or else we would have to move out. Again. I an such a fool, I sometimes wonder why Eliza still puts up with me.

Eliza smiled and kissed him. "Good." she said and chuckled pulling back. "And you are right I do love flattery." she said and winked at him. "So my love do you want to come shopping with me or should we just take a shower?" she asked suggestively at something much dirtier than a shower. Eliza had always been good with Blake but sometimes she wondered if there was more to him that she didn't know. There were times during sex or late at night when they are really drunk that he got rough. Elize wondered what to make of it but most the time be either didn't notice or didn't remember. Eliza loved him though and she would do anything to keep him as hers as she knew he would do to keep her.
