I've had this teacher for the past three years, at first I thought he was really cool, funny and nice but then this year my friend who's in his other class (with students of the same year) told me that she walked into the class one day and heard that the teacher was talking badly about me with a group of boys who were all talking about this project that we had to do last year and the guy thought that my friend and I had created a script to SPECIFICALLY kiss him but that wasn't the case and now that I know he's told literally everyone about that makes me cringe but what annoys me even more; my teacher. This is the man I used to call my "favorite" teacher. Like, you're a teacher, be nice to your students and if you don't like them or disagree with something that they do don't talk badly about them with your other students in your other class. Also, whenever he's around "the boys" he acts like he's a 15 year old boy and he's nearly 30. Act your age. Stop trying to be cool. I'm so annoyed.

Have any of you had an experience where a teacher has talked badly about you?

I've had something similar happen to me... I had a really bad kidney infection in 2013 and I had a lot of specialist doctors appointments that meant I had to take time off school. All the teachers had been told about my health situation, and had been asked to do their best to accommodate it because there wasn't much I could do. This meant that one day, I had a doctors appointment that required me to leave a two hour lesson about an hour in... I quietly, and politely told my teacher about this at the beginning of the class, and she then proceeded to berate me in front of the entire class, to the point that I was almost in tears.

When I left to go to the appointment, after uncomfortably sitting through the first hour, she apparently then proceeded to tell the class about how badly I was going to fail my exams because I was taking time off school, and it was irresponsible of me. I was so shocked when my friends told me that I made a formal complain to my head of year... Who did nothing about it. So I stopped attending her class all together. I took it upon myself to teach myself the remainder of the exam material, and came out of it with an overall grade of an A.

Some teachers are just unprofessional, and in my opinion, shouldn't be teachers.

Yes. I was in a class where I had to work with little kids. Well, we had a period where we would first learn about how to take care of them. The teacher went on about how you can't punish a child for something they did yesterday. Well, me and two friends had gum. We were sharing it around, even though gum wasn't allowed. Instead of confronting us about it on that day, she actually punished me the day after. I almost burst into tears because of it. Then, she said I had to stay longer with the kids, I can't remember until how long... but because of her, I almost missed the bus. My bus driver does NOT like to wait for anyone. It's almost like she went against what she had taught us about not punishing someone the day after it happens. I would think it wouldn't matter if you are dealing with a child or a teen (what I was at the time).

I also had another time where my ex-life skills teacher would nitpick me. I had hair that was naturally curly and short, so it would look messy. She would bitch about this and tell me to maintain it better. Like, how can you maintain naturally curly shirt hair? At one time, she attacked me for being loud to another student. Mind you, I have a hard time hearing the pitch of my voice due to my autism. Well, I tried to explain this to her and the stupid bitch called me a liar. Like, does she not know what autism is? It got to the point where even my mom found out, called the school and got two principals to go to her and talk to her. After that she didn't dare to mess with me.

A teacher has never talked bad about me with other students but... The head of the program I was in at my 2 year school and another instructed in the program spoke poorly of the other idiots in our class. Going so far as to say one very strange student was, "squirrelly and needed help." And that another girl needed to pay more attention to her work instead of boys.
And now the professor I help in the lab as told me on many occasions that my peers "can't think their way out of a two sided box. " But that was over a beer while running complicated scientific equipment. hahaha
