I agree with this. Especially because sometimes I get a really cool idea for an avatar, but then realize it's pointless to use that 'cause in order to make it fit into the tiny avatar size, no one can tell what it is.
We used to have 100x100 px avatars some years ago actually when it was a separate entity from our blogs, profiles and whatnot.
I did not care much for the change but I adapted to it. I do however find that some of my icons cannot be used because of the 60x60 px aspects. For example in my current icon, no one can read that damn text and I swear it's legible in the 100x100 version. Haha.
Anyway, not sure it's up to the current admins or if it's something Dujo has to do, but I would definitely be for that coming back if it's possible.
I agree as well. Though, I think this would be easier because then you can see them better. I can't always make out everyone's avatars until after like ten seconds of figuring them out. Most of the avatars I upload are also 100x100 because I get them from my Livejournal, which uses the same size.
I remember when we had a whole bunch of peers leave the site over the great 60x60 switch over. 100x100 is what I originally had on this site, it's what I'd like to have again. It makes editing easier, it makes icons more legible, and, well, they're just more fun!o
