Matt ran a hand through his brown hair, a sigh escapinghis lips. He finally arrived at his new home, the glenfield apartments in Huntington Beach, California. Why was here? To start a new. Matt is a new muscian trying to make it big. Where else than California. He stared up at rhe big eun down apartment complex. He took a quick glance at his lease to check the room.number again. Apartment 6b. Great. He started to unpack his small car. Making his way in a growl left him noticing the elevator was out of order. Of fucking course he thought. He started to haul all his things up and down the stairs to the 6th story. By the time.he was done it was late in the day and he was sweaty, tired, and very grumpy. All he wanted to do was eat and go to sleep.

"If you don't pay the rent by next week, you're outta here," the landlord had told Zacky before exiting the hallway.

His heart sunk. Where would he go? Where would he find somewhere he and Skylar could sleep at? Where would he find the money to pay the rent?

This was all his fault. If only he didn't make his ex-wife leave him, maybe he wouldn't even be in this situation. If only he could have a good job where he had enough money to buy Skylar nice clothes and toys. If only.

This caused a dry laugh to escape his lips. "Do you really think you'll get a chance to see her after what you put her through? You're not seeing her. Ever." He said with a small shake of his head, though she couldn't see it.

"You don't have the right to call yourself her mother! A mother wouldn't leave a child alone in a house to starve!" He yelled.

Before Zacky could continue, he was interrupted by a loud knock on his door. It was most likely the old man across the hallway, who always complained about Zacky being "untidy" and "noisy".
