Adrian was sat in his smaller office next to Mads', a place he rarely spent his time, except for Mads was swamped in paperwork today, so he was taking time to complete all the busy work that was passed down to him. He jumped slightly when Mads' voice came through the intercom. Damn, he had forgotten all about that. Adrian pressed the button on his desk to active his intercom system as well.
"Should be in the next twenty minutes, Mads. You gettin' antsy?" Adrian teased, a slight smirk on his face as he released the button and quickly scanned through the name of the interviewer coming in today.
The girl, Emily Ripley, was supposed to be coming in to ask about the business and how it got up off the ground and whatnot. Hey, at least it wasn't some gossipy interview where she wanted to know all about Mads' personal life. Adrian could respect that.
Jase was impatiently flipping through the clothes in her closet, unsure of what to wear during this impromptu interview with some big time CEO. For now, the
first dress she could lay her hand on seemed to be the best option, and she couldn't be damned to put on her contacts or even a pair of heels. She looked semi-dressy from the neck up, so Jase thought that was fair enough. Jase shoved her cigarettes and lighter into her bag before hurriedly applying a quick coat of lipstick, rolling her eyes at the sound of her miserable best friend on the couch.
"Because I always think you can handle your booze until you prove otherwise," Jase said, ruffling Emily's hair with a soft sigh, "I put the questions you wrote down on my phone - I'll try to stay as on topic as I can. Where's the tape recorder?" Jase asked suddenly, spotting the little black box on the coffee table with a soft sigh, walking around the couch to pick it up and toss it into her bag as well. "I'll send you a text when the interview ends, 'kay? There's soup in the pantry and you need to keep yourself hydrated, Em. I'll see you in a bit."
Jase offered her best friend a half smile before leaning down to press an obnoxious red kiss to Emily's cheek before sauntering out of the door, closing and locking it behind her as she started off towards the Mohr Entertainment building. She had seen it almost all the time when she walked to the library downtown, and considering that it was only an extra five minutes on top of the typically twenty minute walk, Jase though she'd make it in enough time.
