Bucky couldn't stop the small smile that graced his lips, "I know you aren't hiding from me." He told her as he wasn't sure if she was hiding from everyone else there, he never really saw her interacting with many people. "Shouldn't you be going home?" He asked her as she usually did head home once she was finished with him, he did however like it when she did stay back longer. No one seemed to have a problem with it, or they just didn't know that when Lucy stayed back then he was spending more time with her. He walked over to where she was standing, the large window showed them a wonderful view of the city and he didn't understand why no one was ever in this room. He guessed that people were just too busy.
"You're mission can wait, Fury had a plan which we need to follow." Maria Hill spoke before any of them could come up with a plan of their own, "Project Insight is coming and we need to stop it before Hydra kills thousands of innocent people." She told the group in a very hushed tone of voice, Bonnie had only just been told about what Project Insight was after the Winter Soldier had attacked Fury. "I have the chips that we need to use to control the helicopters, but it's going to be tough. We're going to be surrounded by people who we can't trust," Natasha spoke up and Bonnie was beginning to have a bad feeling about this, this fight was going to be tough on all of them but if they could stop Project Insight then Hydra would be brought down.

Lucy smiled. She couldn't help thinking that she wished she could see him smile more. He had a nice smile. "I have no reason to hide from you." She told him. She was glad that no one seemed to have caught on to the fact that she came here once she was finished with him. She liked the privacy, and, really, the only person who knew came here was him. It gave them more time to talk, something that she actually really enjoyed. "Trying to get rid of me already?" She teased, punctuating her words with a raised eyebrow. She did usually head home once she was finished, but, sometimes, like today, she liked staying back a little while longer.
Steve listened as Maria and Natasha told them all about the plan that Fury had to stop Project Insight. He knew that it needed to be stopped. A lot of people were going to die if it wasn't, and he wasn't about to let that happen. "We're unevenly matched." He said. "But this isn't the first time that things have been this way. I'm wiling to do whatever it takes to make sure that innocent people don't die today." He would risk his own life at the expense of saving all of those who Hydra was targeting. If they stopped Project Insight, they could bring down Hydra.

Bucky only ever smiled when he was around Lucille, he didn't actually like anyone there in Hydra apart from her. "I would never," He told her as he softened his voice, he turned his head slightly to look at Lucy and admired how truly beautiful she was. She wasn't just attractive on the outside, she was so beautiful on the inside although no one really paid enough attention to her to know that. "I wish you'd stay longer, but you have a life outside of these walls." He knew that and sometimes it bothered him, he had to stay there while Lucy could leave after all her work was finished. Bucky had no idea that Pierce had followed him and was listening in on what they were saying to each other, Pierce was getting the last few things taken care of so he could head over to the SHIELD headquarters so he could begin Project Insight. But he needed Bucky to be ready in protecting the three helicopters, he knew all about Captain America and the brunette agent that tended to tag along beside him. "She can't stay any longer, she has to leave now." Pierce spoke letting himself be known.
Natasha nodded her head lightly and passed two of the chips across the table, one to Steve and the other to Steve's friend, Sam Wilson. Bonnie had only met Sam a few days ago and she liked him, he seemed to have gained Steve's trust quickly. "It doesn't matter if we're outnumbered, we're the ones who are fighting for the right reasons." Bonnie glanced over at Steve, she believed in everyone who was sitting at the table so she knew they'd overcome everything that stood in their way. "We should get ourselves ready," She knew that Steve needed to get into his suit and so did she, Natasha would want to check her weapons and just have a moment to herself. Standing up, Bonnie was the first to walk out of the room before she headed towards a room where she could change. Once she had changed she tied her hair into a ponytail and tied up her boots, she looked up when Steve walked into the room. "Hey," She gave him a small smile, she had developed strong feelings for him a long time ago but was always too scared to tell him.

Lucy sent a small smile his way. "Good." She said quietly. She was glad that he wanted her here. She didn't want to be a bother or anything like that. If he wanted her here, she'd stay. She knew that this attachment she had for him wasn't good. Not because of him, because of Hydra. She doubted they'd like their most important asset having a close friendship, if that was what this was, to his nurse. It wouldn't be good for either of them. She looked to him when he spoke, opening her mouth to say something when Pierce spoke. Her face paled slightly as she realized that he had been listening to their conversation. Clearing her throat awkwardly, she nodded and wordlessly left the room.
Steve nodded. "Exactly." He said. He couldn't have said it any better himself. He was sure that everyone in this room understood just how outnumbered they really were. That wasn't going to stop any of them from putting up a fight though. He was sure that they'd all do whatever it took to succeed, even if that meant risking their own lives. He followed Millie out of the room, going to get his suit on. He hoped that, if he did come face to face with Bucky again today, he could talk some sense into his friend, maybe help him remember. Once he had his suit on, he walked into the room, sending a small smile the brunette's way. "Hey." He wasn't aware of the feelings she had for him.

Bucky's smile faded as he watched Lucille walk out of the room, he wasn't sure if she was just going home now or if this would cause her to get into trouble. Pierce told him to get into his suit as his mission was going to begin again, so he walked back into his room so he could change back into his suit that he always wore for his missions. Pierce gave him his new mission before leaving him, Bucky prepared himself for his mission and was heading out for it when he saw two agents with Lucy and the agents didn't look very happy. He was torn because he wanted to stay around Lucille but then another part of him knew he needed to finish his mission, his missions were the most important thing or that is what he was made to believe.
Millie looked at Steve, "Is it normal to be nervous? I'm usually never feeling like this, but we can actually bring Hydra down. I never thought this would happen," She told him as she felt like she had to tell someone, she had dreamed about this moment but this was all happening quicker than she could have ever imagined. She was ready for this fight but she also knew the risk of being so outnumbered, they could lose people they trusted or even lose their own lives. So before she could realise what she was doing, she had stepped closer to Steve and leaned in so she could press her lips against his. The kiss didn't last as long as Millie would have liked, but they didn't have much time. She pulled back and looked at Steve, "Just in case anything happens."

(Oh my god! I was using the wrong name! I'm sorry, I didn't even realise until now.)

Lucy didn't know what any of this meant for her. She didn't know if she'd get reprimanded for her, now obvious, close relationship with the soldier. She knew that it wasn't her job, she wasn't here to be his friend, she was his nurse and that was it. But everyone else treated him like a machine, and she couldn't bring herself to do that. He was a person, he showed weakness, or, he showed it to her at least. He trusted her and, to be completely honest, she trusted him. She had walked to gather her things and leave when two agents approached her. "Andrews." One said. "Weston." She responded. It was obvious that both of them weren't happy in the slightest. "You do realize why you're here, correct?" He asked. "I sure do, sir." She responded. "Then I'm sure that you realize that you aren't here to befriend our greatest asset. See to it that it doesn't happen again, I don't think you'll like what happen if it does." Lucy nodded wordlessly, eyeing Bucky for a moment as he walked past. "Yes, sir." She finally said.
"It happens to the best of us." Steve told her. He still got nervous sometimes too, he just learned to ignore it. Today was different though. Taking down Hydra wasn't what was making him nervous though, the thought of seeing Bucky was. He hoped that he could talk some sense into his best friend, make him realize who he really was. This wasn't him. He wasn't what Hydra had turned him into. He just had to try to get through to him, and he'd do everything in his power to do so. Millie's later actions caught him completely off guard, his eyes widening slightly as she pressed her lips against his. He was sure that the shock was apparent when she pulled away. He nodded, unable to find any actually words to say.

[I noticed it last post, haha. It's all good!]

Bucky wasn't close enough to hear what the agents were saying to Lucille, but he knew it wouldn't be good. The agents were towering over Lucy as if they were trying to make their message get across faster, it was something that Bucky felt like he had always hated. He hated bullies but there wasn't really anything that he could do now, Lucy seemed to be handling whatever they were saying to her well enough. He did want to step in and tell the agents to leave Lucy alone, but that would probably only make matters worse for her so he continued walking. But for some reason he glanced back over his shoulder to take one last look at Lucille before she was out of view, he sighed as he walked through the building and normally his mind was focused on the mission but this time Lucy kept creeping into his mind which didn't bother him at all.
Millie could feel how shocked Steve was from her kissing him, she instantly regretted it so she just turned around so she could mentally beat herself up about it. She knew Steve would never develop any feelings for her that was more than a friendship, she stepped out of the room so she could get started on fighting this battle. She was so embarrassed that she didn't even want to face Steve again, she really hoped that she didn't cause things to be awkward between them now. She didn't want to lose him as a friend, she trusted him and knew she could count on him to be there for her if she did need someone.

[I guess we can skip to after the mission now? I can start us off tehe]

Lucy couldn't believe it. Both Hydra and SHIELD were gone. All of their secrets had been out there on the internet, for pretty much anyone to see. The Triskelion was gone. Pretty much everything was in shambles. Despite all of this, she wasn't at ease at all. Part of her wanted to be happy, she no longer worked for Hydra, but she knew that it wasn't that simple. She knew that there were still members of the organization out there. They would probably blame Project Insight's failure on the asset, say that he hadn't done his job properly, hadn't completed the mission, and then they'd probably blame her. They'd say that she'd distracted him, that it was her fault that he hadn't completed the mission. She wasn't so worried about them coming after her though. She was more worried about Bucky than anything else. She couldn't help it. She had formed an attachment to him, and after seeing the wreck in the Potomac, she couldn't help worrying about where he was and if he was alright. Between that and worrying that someone from Hydra was going to come after her, she didn't really feel safe in her apartment. She didn't know what she was going to do, but she knew that she needed to get out of DC soon and attempt to keep them off of her trail for the time being.
Steve was just starting to wake up. As he did, for a moment he was confused. He didn't know where he was, and then he remembered what had happened. He remembered fighting Bucky and trying to talk some sense into his friend in the process. He remembered falling off of that hellecarrier into the Potomac, and then things started to get fuzzy. He could remember hitting the water, and beginning to sink to the bottom, too weak to swim back up. The last thing he could vaguely remember was a hand reaching out and grabbing him. The owner of it had dragged him out of the water and onto the riverbank. And then he remembered how the hand had glistened underneath the water as the sunlight hit it. It was metal. Bucky. Bucky had saved his life. After the processing and initial shock of that, Steve was able to focus more on his surroundings. There was music playing. The room he was in was bright, the lights were anyway. Cracking one eye open, he saw Sam seated in a chair next to his bed and it seemed as though Millie was seated off in the far corner of the room. Smirking slightly, he spoke. "On your left."

Bucky was so confused, he thought that he remembered the man who he had just fought. Somewhere deep in his mind, he recognized the man's face but he couldn't pin point where from. Something in his subconscious was giving him a feeling that he had been close to this stranger, which is why he had pulled him out of the water so he wouldn't drown. But then he left as Hydra agents would be out looking for him, so he had stolen some normal human clothes making sure that his metal arm was covered. He had gone to a museum in which held information about him, all of it just confused him more so after he left he went straight to Lucille's apartment as he needed to make sure she was safe as well. He could have used the front door which would have been easy, but he wasn't sure if anyone was watching or following him so he wanted to be extra careful. Which is why he snuck into the apartment through a window, he stepped through Lucy's apartment until he saw her. "We need to leave now," He told her as he needed to get out of the city.
Millie had been having her own fight with a few Hydra agents and had gotten a few bruises and cuts through the process, she had seen Steve falling but there was nothing she could do to help him. By the time she made her way over to him, he was laying on the river bank alone. It had scared her more than she expected, she with Sam's help had gotten him to a hospital but they were all wearing normal clothes so no one would notice who they were. Millie had wanted to take Steve to the secret SHIELD hideout but they had no idea if it was still there or not, so hospital was the safest place for them to be. She looked up when she heard Steve's voice, she walked over to him bed and looked at him. "You just had to make a scene, didn't you?" She joked with him and sighed, "You scared me. Don't ever do that again," She told him even though it wasn't his fault that he had gotten hurt in the first place, he had wanted to talk to Bucky but that ended with him nearly dying.

Lucy's back was facing the window, her lower lip catching between her teeth. She let out a soft sigh, unsure of what to do. She knew that she needed to leave the district, but she wanted to make sure that Bucky was alright first. She knew that Hydra wouldn't be happy about how things had gone down. She let out a startled gasp when she heard him, she hadn't heard him climb in through the window, though that was kind of to be expected. He wouldn't be a very good assassin if she'd heard him, or so she assumed anyway. Turning to face him, a look of relief crossed her face. "You scared me." She said sheepishly, taking in his appearance a few moments later. She frowned when she saw how his right arm, the real one, hung at his side. It looked broken. "What happened to your arm?" She approached him slowly, unable to help wanting to assess the damage. She was a nurse after all.
Steve mustered a small smile. "'Course I did. Did you expect anything less from me?" He asked her. He could tell, before she even said anything about it, that she was worried. He hadn't meant to scare Millie or anyone for that matter. He'd only been trying to get through to Bucky. He assumed that he had gotten through to him, he didn't know why else his friend would have pulled him from the Potomac. "How long have I been out?" He was curious. He didn't know how much time had passed or what had happened since everything kind of went to hell, or he was at least assuming that that was the case anyway.

Bucky looked at Lucille, "I didn't mean to scare you." He apologized to her as he hadn't meant to, but he was used to sneaking up on people and not making a sound when he moved. It was a habit to him now, "There is no time for that now. My arm is fine, you need to pack a bag." He told her knowing that they wouldn't have much time, standing around was just wasting their time and it gave Hydra agents more time to come after them. "Please Lucy, we need to leave now. Hydra will be searching for us," He told her urgently as he held his arm out for her, in an act to hurry her up so she could throw clothes into a bag before they made their way out of the city. He had no idea where they could go, but anywhere was safer than staying in New York.
Millie wasn't impressed in the slightest as she looked at Steve, "Just because I expected it. Doesn't mean that you had to prove me right," She sighed softly as she ran her fingers through her dark hair, "Just over a day. But we really shouldn't stay for much longer, as long as you feel up to it then we should get out of here." She told him and she had already talked to Sam, he had agreed to help out with whatever they needed. Millie knew that Steve would want to go searching for his friend, but she wasn't sure if he'd want her to help him after she had focused a kiss on him. If he wanted to do this alone or with just Sam, then she'd deal with it.

Lucy sent him a small, almost sheepish, smile. "I know that you didn't." She was glad that he'd shown up. She really had been worried about him. It was funny how things turned out. She was worried about one of the world's best assassins. They were both about to be on the run from a corrupt Neo-Nazi organization, and said assassin seemed to care, and be just as worried about her as she was him. That was why she never understood how Hydra could treat him the way that they did. He was clearly human, not a machine. She stopped inspecting his arm, nodding at his words. "You're right, I'm sorry. I'm going to check your arm once we get far enough away from here though, alright?" She could tell that his arm was broken, and the serum meant that he healed a lot more quickly than a regular human would. She hoped that it wouldn't have healed by the time she had a chance to really look at it. If it did, she'd have to re-break and set it, and that would be more painful. She crossed her apartment and grabbed a duffel bag from her closet, throwing some clothes and a few photos that held sentimental value inside. "Alright, lets get out of here."
Steve could tell that she'd really been worried about him. It was all in her reaction. He hadn't meant to worry her with his actions, though his sole focus had been to help Bucky remember, to at least begin to help him by getting through to him. He wasn't sure if he was successful in doing so, though he hoped that he was. He nodded in response to her words. "If you can convince them to discharge me today, that would be great. I need to look for him, I owe him that much." If anything, he needed to at least try to find his friend. He was sure that Bucky was long gone by now, and searching for him wasn't going to be easy. "He pulled me out of the Potomac, I know that he did." There was no one else who could have done it, and the vague memory of a metal hand reaching out for him wouldn't make any sense if it had been anyone other than Bucky. "I would like you to help me look for him...if you want to..."

Bucky saw the smile that crossed Lucy's face as she did begin to look over his arm, he knew it was broken but they didn't have any time to deal with it now. He stood there while she grabbed whatever belongings that she wanted, he looked at her and gave her a nod of his head. He took a step closer to her when a noise outside her apartment door captured his attention, "Their here." He murmured quietly to himself before he took Lucy over to the window where he entered her apartment, he climbed back out before he took her duffle bag and slung it over his shoulder. He took Lucy's hand in his own as he helped her through the window, a second later the apartment door was kicked open. So Bucky did the only thing that he could, he wrapped his arm around Lucille's waist before he jumped down to the street below them. He didn't have time to warn Lucy but his hold on her was secure, he spotted a car and smashed the back window so he could unlock the doors. Once Lucy was in the car safely, he sped off down the street.
"I'll make sure that you get released today," Millie reassured him as she would deal with the doctor that had been taking care of Steve, "I'm sure we'll find him. But it may take some time, he could be anywhere by now." She warned him as she wanted him to realise that, Bucky most likely didn't want to be found and if that was the case then it would be hard for anyone to track him down. She looked at him and took a few moments to think about if she did want to help him, she did but she still cared more about Steve than she should. She just hoped that nothing would grow to be awkward between them, "Only if you want me to help you. If you'd rather do this alone, I don't mind." Or if he wanted to take Sam with him instead of her, whatever Steve wanted then she'd be happy with.

Lucy's eyes widened slightly at his words. She knew that Hydra would send someone after both of them, but this was sooner than she would have liked. She would have hoped to put a great enough distance between her and DC and avoiding this type of a conflict for as long as she possibly could. She didn't say anything, mostly out of shock, as she quickly got into the car. They'd gotten out of her apartment and to the street much quicker than she would have been able to without Bucky there. Glancing over her shoulder, she eyed the street behind them. She noticed a black SUV speeding down the street towards them, swerving in and out of different lanes to get closer. "What's the plan exactly?" She asked, speaking for the first time since they'd left her apartment.
Steve smiled slightly. "Thank you." He said. The sooner he got out of this hospital, the sooner he could start looking for Bucky. He knew that it wasn't going to be easy, but it was a task and a challenge that he was willing to do his best to successfully complete. He owed his friend that much. He nodded at Millie's words. "I know, but I need to at least try. I don't care how long it takes, I need to find him." He told her. He was determined, and he already had his mind made up. Her later words surprised him for a moment, though he soon recalled the kiss, not that it was much of one seeing as he'd been much too shocked and caught off guard to reciprocate. "I want you there, Millie. Listen, about that kiss..." He started.

Bucky was quickly making his way through the streets and was being somewhat careful to not hit any other cars, normally he wouldn't have a care in the world but Lucy was sitting right there beside him and he wasn't going to be the reason she got hurt. "Lose them," He told her as his eyes were glued to the street in front of him, he hadn't really made a plan. All he knew was that they needed to get far away from DC, he hadn't realised that agents would find them so quickly but Pierce had noticed how close he had gotten to Lucille. He had obviously told someone that he trusted in case something like this did happen, "Hold on." He quickly took a turn down another street and he'd continue to drive until he knew that they were safe.
Millie knew that Steve wouldn't stop until he did find his friend, there was no way anyone would stop him or talk him out of it. She understood because she would be the same way, most people would help the people close to them. "Of course, but the doctor said that you still need to rest. I don't care if your Captain America, you need to let your body heal." She told him as they'd need to leave the city so he could rest on the drive and they'd have to track Bucky down as well, she just hoped that they weren't attacked because she wasn't sure how healed Steve was. "Then I'll be there... Please don't, can we forget about the kiss? It was stupid and I was worried, I saw how determined you were and I was worried that Bucky wouldn't stop until you were dead." She explained to him as she could feel heat coming to her cheeks, she did her best to keep the blush from forming on her cheeks.

Lucy had always been behind the scenes. She was a wallflower in high school and college, she never liked being the center of attention and she certainly didn't like being on the front lines like this. It made sense that agents had been sent after them so quickly, Pierce had noticed just how close she and Bucky were, and that meant that she was just as much of a threat to the organization as he was. Glancing over her shoulder once more, she frowned. The SUV was still following them, and they were getting a little too close for comfort in her opinion. "What can I do?" She asked. She felt kind of useless just sitting there in the passenger seat as an SUV full of agents for a Neo-Nazi organization followed them. She wanted to do something to help if she could.
Steve frowned at her words. "Millie, I heal faster than a normal human does, and even if I didn't, I'd want to get out of here and start looking for my best friend." He told her. He knew that she was right, but he didn't like it, and he certainly wasn't going to follow the doctor's orders. He needed to start looking for Bucky. He knew that there was a great chance that his friend didn't want to be found right now, but Steve needed to at least try, and resting up so that his body could properly heal wasn't him trying in the slightest. Her later words surprised him. It wasn't what he was expecting her to tell him. "Oh..." He said. "So it didn't really mean anything else to you then?"

Bucky didn't want Lucy to do anything, there wasn't much she could do but if she did do something to help and she got hurt. Bucky would never forgive himself, he was certain that the agents would have numerous guns in their hands or at least close by in the SUV. But there was one way that he thought Lucy could help, so he removed his gun from where it was on the belt around his pants. He hesitated before offering the gun to Lucy, "Try to shoot their tire when I tell you do," He had an idea on how he could get away from the SUV, but it would only work if Lucy could shoot the tire of the SUV. If she didn't then he'd think of another way to lose them, if Lucy wasn't comfortable enough with a gun then he would easily understand.
Millie knew that Steve healed faster but she could be very stubborn, "We will start looking for him. But you should know that I won't let you do much until you are healed," She looked at him as she would make him follow the doctor's orders if she needed to, she wasn't going to risk anything with him. She looked away from Steve as she thought about his question, she could easily lie to him but she was a horrible lair and she was certain that he'd see right through her. "Of course it meant more to me, but I know that you don't return my feelings and that's fine." She admitted to him as he was the one who brought it up, so she might as well be honest with him.

Lucy didn't exactly have much experience when it came to car chases, unless you counted the ones that she saw in action movies, but she would still offer to help. Of course, when she offered, she hadn't expected him to hand her one of his guns. She was certain that the surprise was evident on her face, all wide eyes and raised eyebrows. For a moment, she hesitated before taking the gun from his hand. She didn't have very much experience with them either, just a bit here and there when her dad took her to the shooting range once or twice when she was a kid. That was at least fifteen to twenty years ago though, and it really had only been once or twice. "Just tell me when." She said quietly, hoping that her nerves wouldn't get the best of her and that she still had okay aim like she had back then.
Steve sighed softly, nodding his head. "Alright, but we will start looking for him as soon as I get out of here and ask Natasha to call in a favor for me." He told her. If there was anyone who could get him information on what his friend had been up to for the last seventy years, he figured that it would be her. She and Bucky seemed to have similar backgrounds, after all. He looked to her, a curious expression on his face as he waited for an answer to his question. When he got it, he wasn't sure of how to respond at first. Did he not return her feelings? It was a bit more complicated than a yes or a no. "How do you know that? Millie, I'm not good with women. You can ask Natasha and she'll vouch for me. I've never been good with women actually, I just don't have much experience with them, and you kissing me caught me off guard, but you didn't exactly give me a chance to respond. And you're jumping to conclusions now, which honestly kind of surprises me."

Bucky saw the street coming up that he wanted to take, it would be a sharp turn and he also had to dodge the cars coming from the other direction. But he had faith in himself that he could pull it off, he also had faith in Lucy that she could aim and shoot. She knew he was putting a load of pressure onto her, but he couldn't shoot and drive with his arm being injured. He didn't like not being in complete control, but he trusted Lucy and he wouldn't care if she missed. She had tried and that is all he was asking of her, so he waited right up until the last second before he turned the steering wheel and the car narrowly missed being hit. "Now!" He told Lucy but he couldn't watch her as he needed to focus on keeping them both alive.
Millie nodded her head, "I will." She promised him and it was obvious to anyone that Steve didn't like being in the hospital, he didn't like having to sit down for a long period of time. But Millie was doing this for his own sake, she knew that if they were going to find Bucky then they could find him at anytime. Steve didn't need to be doing anything right now, as she listened to him she knew he was right. She had jumped to conclusions which she never did, she liked facts and that's how she worked best. Sure she trusted her feelings, but facts were more solid in her opinion. "I know you didn't have time to respond, but I felt like you weren't going to respond. Yes, I shouldn't have just kissed you like that. But I didn't want to regret not doing anything, if something did happen." She wasn't sure where this was going, but she had to ask him one thing. "Would you have responded to my kiss?" She asked him as she did want to know.

Lucy hoped that she didn't screw up. She kind of knew what she was doing, kind of being used rather loosely, and she hoped that Bucky had something else planned in case she missed. Her lower lip was caught between her teeth as she waited for Bucky to give her further instructions. Once he told her to, she leaned out of the window and aimed for one of their tires. She surprised herself when she successfully managed to give them a flat, quickly ducking back into the car. Her heart was racing, this certainly wasn't for her, but hey, at least she hadn't gotten hurt, or worse killed, yet. "I think we lost them." She said, letting out a breath that she hadn't even realized she was holding in.
Steve knew that Millie had his best interests at heart, and he appreciated that, but no one was going to stop him from looking for Bucky. He knew that they had time, but seventy some-odd years had already passed, and he wasn't about to let anymore get away from him. "I think I would have." He said after a few moments had passed and he mulled over her question. "If given enough time to process what was happening, I think that I would have responded. You really did catch me off guard...you know, nothing happened...I mean, I guess something did...but I'm okay, and I'm pretty sure that I have an ample amount of time now..." He was rambling. Even now, shy, awkward Steve Rogers who was a mess around women came out. The serum might have changed him physically, but he was still the same skinny kid from Brooklyn on the inside.
