Flying High

Tasha took a small deep breathe as she stared at the rather large Quidditch Pitch before her. Clutching the strap of the bag on her shoulder she let the breath out and walked through the doors that would lead her to her new office.

Draco sighed to himself, deciding to get the conversation he needed to have with Octavia done and over with. "Rosier. We need to talk." He spoke, stiffly. Eyeing her friends, who had no problems gossiping about everything, he decided to add on to his statement. "Privately."

Oliver stood facing his locker, he'd been here for over an hour. Just flying around the field, enjoying the time he was allowed on his broom. Being a back up wasn't as fun as you'd think. He didn't get to play much which sucked, but he loved it when the team played on their down time.

Octavia sighed turning to look at Asha, she knew she didn't mean harm. But she was a bit of a gossip, she just couldn't shut up. Shifting she looked back at Draco. "What do you want Malfoy?" She questioned him, as she walked away from Ash, watching as he trailed after her. She turned looking at him knowing he was needing to speak to her about the quest that had been put on their shoulders.

"Miss Vessecchia. Glad to see you've found your office. Follow me down to the locker rooms? I'd like to introduce you to the team." Tasha nodded at the teams coach, setting her bag down and slipping her hands into her back pockets.

"Look. We both know you are just going to get in my way this year. I work alone so stay out of my way, leave me alone, and I won't let it be known that you didn't help." Draco sneered the the girl. Truth was, this was dangerous... And they could get hurt severely. He didn't want her to get hurt... He couldn't let her help him in this.

Oliver pulled his robes on, fixing his cloak. He knew with the new season starting, they'd be working harder. Since they'd lost their previous healer, the off season practice weren't as productive. Being hurt during the off season could ruin a players chances of playing during the season. And since most of them only had Quiddicth as there income, they wouldn't chance it.

Octavia frowned hearing Draco's words. "Really?" She scoffed. "And what about Crabbe and Goyle?" She asked knowing he never did anything with out them. "So I don't buy this whole I work alone bullshit." She almost hit him, just knowing he was standing in her way of saving her mother.

"Gentlemen! Gather around." Phil Deverill pulled the team together. Despite his best efforts, no girls had wanted to join the team in the last few years so all he had were men. "I understand that without a healer during the post season the majority of you did not give it your all. However we are officially in pre-season so I expect that to change. I'd like to introduce Miss Natasha Vassecchia - she will be filling in Natalie's postion as healer. I expect you to treat her with respect. And we all know the rules - no romance." He bellowed, though for him it was normal. Tasha stepped forward, her long red hair flowing slightly behind her as she smiled and eyed over the team.

"The two bafoons will not be assisting me with this either miss know it all. So I suggest you back off. You're not helping and that's final." Draco sneered. It was the truth... Even he didn't want to do this... Kill Dumbledore? That is too much to ask of any minor... So there was no way he'd let anyone else get involved.

Oliver frowned at the comment of no romance, it wasn't like the coach ever had pretty girls around them anyways. His brows furrowed at the thought of her name, it sounded familiar, but he couldn't place it. Murmurs arose from a few of his teammates, when they noticed her. She was beautiful, any guy could see that. But to Oliver it was like a tone of bricks hit him in the stomach. It couldn't be her. No wonder the name sounded familiar, he had hated her for as long as he could remember.

Octavia glared at Draco. "Listen Malfoy, I'm helping you fix the cabinet with or without you liking it." She lowered her voice when she mentioned the cabinet. "You'll need my help." She sneered at him, knowing she was smarter than him and would be able to put thing into perspective for him.

"Hi! I'm Tasha... Please do call me that. I am 18. Uhm... I graduated from Hogwarts last year. I was the Captain of the Ravenclaw team for 5 years. Chaser. And that's about it." Tasha smiled, giving them a small wave. "So protocol says that each of you need a physical before you get on the pitch? If you've already had one just bring me the paperwork. If not then let me know and we can get you settled."

"Rosier - just - ugh!." Draco shook his head at the foolish girl. "Fine. But its your life you're risking." He snapped. Why was she being so stubborn? He was giving her a way out... A way to protect herself. Was she really that foolish to WANT to do this? As far as he knew she was the least like a Slytherin out of the entire lot if them.

Oliver groaned, he knew he'd forgotten to do something. He muttered under his breath, regretting his decision of not going and getting one sooner. "I'll put a sign sheet on the door, if you haven't had one please put your name on it so we can get them out of the way today." The coach announced, "and those that have please don't waste our time." He added, knowing that the guys found Tasha attractive. "So get out on the field." He said before exiting the locker room, only to return a few moments later with a black piece of paper.

Octavia rolled her eyes, was he really that daft. "There's more than you think on the line." She said before turning and walking back to Asha. A annoyed expression on her face, shaking her head as her friend inquired about her and Draco's conversation. She didn't need it getting out about her working for the dark Lord.

Tasha followed the couch out, grabbing the sign up sheet from her things and handing it to him before returning to her office. Looking around at the empty room she decided that the first thing she'd do is put up picture... At the least to make the place more like home.

"Daft, foolish girl." Draco muttered to himself, walking back to his seat. Crabbe and Goyle stared at him questioningly, along with Blaise Zabini. She simply dismissed the three boys and stared out the window, figuring out ways to make this year work out.

Oliver watched a few of the guys signed their names, a few made remarks about how lucky they were. Shaking his head he turned back to his locker grabbing his broom. Turning he watched as the room emptied, following after he stopped by the door before quickly scribbling his name on the paper. The last thing he wanted was to deal with was a physical.

Octavia moved around the common room, before sitting down in an empty armchair. Asha took up a spot close by. "So Draco finally admit his love for you?" Asha voice rang out, loudly. Rolling her eyes Octavia watched as Pansy perked up at the news. Apparently her and Draco had a huge falling out during the summer break, and she hadn't spoken to him.

After setting all her things, Tasha walked back to the locker room to grab the sign up sheet. "Coming to get this I assume?" Phil chuckled, holding up the clipboard, as she ran into him. "Yes. Sorry, wasn't paying much attention." She blushed a bit flustered. "S'alright love. You've got quite the day ahead of you. These boys procrastinate like crazy." He nodded, handing the sheet to her. "Okay... Can you send... Benjy? Yes. Benjy to my office. I'll do him first and work my way down."

"So what happened with little miss queen bee? You gonna hit that this year or what." Blaise questioned. Octavia was easily the hottest girl in the school, now that the ravenclaw redhead was gone, and Draco was the only one who had a shot with her. Everyone knew he had a thing for the girl. It was why he and Pansy had their falling out. Draco glared at Blaise, hushing the boy up quickly. "That girl is an insufferable prat. The less time I spend I'm her presence the better."

Oliver mounted his broom, before shooting off towards the goals. He posistioned himself were he could look out across the field. A soft smile on his face, he knew it would be to long until the quaffle was released. Moments laters the bludgers and snitch was released, then the big red ball soared high in the air. Shaking his head he knew he was in for some fun. The guys could be mean, down right nasty.

Octivia scoffed looking over at Draco, "as if I'd want to be with a blonde ferret." She told her friend, she knew that if the dark lord hadn't kidnapped her mother, then she'd never work with Draco. Now she needed him and his help more than ever, but she'd never admit that out loud. "Beside that's a guy only a mother could ever love." Asha added, shaking her head, she was just upset Draco hadn't liked her.

"Thanks Benjy. You're all set." Tasha smiled softly at the man before her. "Could you do me a small favor and just send in the last guy... " Benjy had taken quite a while to get to her office and she had already finished with the three other men who hadn't gotten their physicals. Tasha furrowed her eyebrows at the scrawled first name - no last name. "Oliver? I hope there is only one Oliver here cause he didn't include a last name." The seeker laughed and nodded, leaving the gorgeous girls office.

Draco stood, deciding to check out the cabinet and see how bad it really was. "I'm going out. Don't wait up." He announced to the boys, turning on his heel and leaving the commons. Quickly he made his way up to the 7th floor.

Oliver flew around the post after stopping the quaffle, throwing it to a chaser. Only to hear a familiar laugh, "oh Woodie." Benjy's voice rang through the air. The seeker soaring over head, before circling around. "The nurse is looking for you." He told his team mate, "have fun." He laughed out sending a quick wink Oliver's way before dashing off on his broom. Oliver couldn't help but laugh at his stupidity, but the guys were fun none the less. Sighing he quickly set his broom down he might as well get this over with.

Octavia rolled her eyes at the argument Pansy and Asha had managed to get into. It had started out as Pansy defending Draco, then somehow had turned to an argument about Welsh rarebit. It was a muggle food that was actually delicious. But Asha didn't seem to like it and Pansy was defending it. Those two could argue with a brick wall.

While waiting for the mysterious Oliver to show up, Tasha sorted through the papers, filing each physical into the files she had created for each member of the team and the reserve team. The only one missing was for the reserve keeper. "Oliver...." Tasha furrowed her brow, muttering to herself "No... It couldn't be...."

Draco entered the room of requirement, after making sure he hadn't been followed. Back in the common room, Blaise Zabini join the small group of girls arguing about merlin knows what. "Tavia." He smiled at her, a slight smirk evident. "How's your summer?"

Oliver stood outside the door that would lead him to Tasha. He wondered if they'd be able to put the past behind them, but the thought was shook from his head. He had no intention of ever trying to be her friend. Sighing he lifted his hand and raped his knuckle against the door, he might as well get this over with.

Octavia frowned hearing Blaise's voice, she knew most of the guys liked her. But she wasn't interested in any of them. She'd been so focused on her studies that when she did notice on that he turned out to be the biggest douche she'd ever met. And that was saying a lot since she went to school with a bunch of them. "Boring, yours?" She questioned knowing that it was better to carry on a conversation than here Pansy and Asha gripe at each other.

Tasha spun quickly, her jaw dropping. Standing before her was her rival from school, Oliver Wood. The one person who made her simultaneously want to scream until her lungs collapsed and melt into a puddle, just from the sound of his voice. "Wood." She muttered softly, almost to herself, sounding damn near horrifyed.

"Nothing interesting happened? I know a certain blonde who had a busy summer and I know I saw you at his place several times." Blaise wiggled his eyebrows at the dark haired girl. Draco, as much of a part as he was, liked her. Even if he wouldn't admit it to anyone else. And Blaise was making it his mission to get the two together.

Oliver stood there his eyes held her, the atmosphere was thick with tension. And it was awkward that they were alone together. "Tasha." Wood greeted her, knowing there was nothing that could change the past and the awkwardness between the two.

Octavia rolled her eyes, the noise around them seemed to stop. Hearing that she'd been visiting Draco was enough to stop the argument between the two girls, all attention was on her. "Yeah, Lucius is banging my mother." She told Blaise. She knew it was a lie and so did everybody else. But there was no way she was telling them the real reason she was at Malfoy manor. And she wasn't over there that often. Just getting her mission and visiting her mother, when she was permitted.

"Oh well this is just lovely." Tasha groaned. She'd have to give Oliver, of all people, his physical. Like it wasn't hard enough being around the guy when shed seen him shirtless... But now this? Great.

"Come on... You can't tell me that you went to Draco's numerous times over summer and NOTHING happened between the two of you." Blaise groaned in disbelief "Not to sound like a girl but what is wrong with you. Draco Malfoy. Alone. All summer. And nothing?"
