Editing Hub Sample Thread

*This hub is only a sample. No edits will actually be given to anyone's work. For rules on creating a shop, please visit the Ediing Hub Guidelines thread.

Rules:

• I will only work on three open requests at a time.
• Only one request per person at a time, but once I have fulfilled your request you can make another.
• I'm allowed to not process the requests in order. I will do my best to meet deadlines, but please understand that I sometimes get busy.
• Please state the degree of editing you would like (i.e. a quick grammar and spelling check, or a full on critique).
• I am open to being your beta reader for an entire chaptered story - just post here and we can work something out.
• No NC-17 stories, please!
• No poems, but stories and articles are fine.
• I need to be credited in the summary of your story, or the author's note of that chapter.
• Be polite and patient, please!

My Editing Strengths:

I'm really good at finding errors in grammar so I can do quick grammar checks for you if you'd like. If you're more interested in a critique, I can also provide feedback on your story/chapter as a whole, and I'm specifically good at character development and imagery.

My Editing Process:

• I will reply to your post in this thread to let you know that I have received and accepted your request.
• I will send you a PM asking for a copy of your piece of work to edit.
• I will make my edits to your work and send the edited version, as well as any comments I might have, to you via PM.
• I ask that you reply to me and discuss any issues you might have with the edits or ask questions you have about my feedback so we can make sure your writing is the best it can be
• If you feel it is necessary, I will provide a second edit of the piece of work to make sure that all of the edits make sense.
