College was problematic. There were times when Malia loved it, and times when she hated it. Such as life she supposed. Right now was one of those times when she hated it though. She had an exam to study for, however, her roommate, Kate, had insisted she tagalong to some frat party that was going on that night. Maria was all up for having a good time, when it didn't interfere with her grades. They were something that she took very seriously, especially being that she was there on scholarship. Needless to say, it wasn't often that she was seen at a party or at a bar the night before an exam or assignment was due. Tonight was definitely a rarity, and Malia hoped that it wasn't something that she'd end up regretting.

"Do you actually know anyone here?" She asked, shouting over the loud music pumping through the speakers.
Chris laughed rather loudly at something one of his brothers had said. "I think we all know that I can drink you under the table, dude." He said confidently, taking a sip of his beer. The party was in full swing at this point, and more and more people seemed to be showing up. He wasn't at all surprised. The frat he was a part of was notorious for throwing amazing parties. Anyone who was anyone knew not to miss out on one of them, and he could certainly vouch for them there. These parties always got pretty wild, so much so that he was surprised that they hadn't been shut down or that it hadn't been brought to the attention of the school's Greek Council. He wasn't complaining though obviously. It would suck if they got shut down, or if the organization as a whole got put on probation or something like that.

"I know you!" Kate shouted back, a grin on her lips. She was shaking her hips along with he music, trying to get her friend to enjoy herself. Kate wasn't really too much of a grades kind of girl. She did enough to pass, but she knew she wasn't going to get top of her class or any of that. She was here, in part, for the experience of college. And that experience met trashy parties thrown by idiot frat boys with an agenda. She knew Malia wasn't one for partying when there was studying to be done, but Kate figured she needed to live a little more. "You're already here! Might as well enjoy yourself." Kate continued to dance, her eyes moving around the room they were in. It was pretty packed. It had to be against some kind of fire code.
Chris let go of the ping pong in his hand, letting it fly through the air and neatly into the last cup on the other end of the table. He gave a little bow, taking off his hat and tipping it to the guy at the other end who had just lost their game of beer pong. He put the hat on backwards, his attention turning to the rest of the room. He didn't know who he knew in the room and who he didn't. Hell, he couldn't even see what colour the floor was there were so many people. That just meant it was a good party, right? He picked up a cup of beer from the table behind him and held it above heads as he moved through the crowd, trying to move to the backyard. It was getting pretty stuffy, and he wanted to make sure everyone was having a good time out there.

Malia resisted the urge to roll her eyes and respond with a snarky comeback about how Kate obviously knew her. She really liked the girl, despite the fact that they were polar opposites, but she was honestly regretting being a complete pushover tonight. She should have stood her ground and told her that she had an exam to study for, she had no time for a party, no matter how wild it was going to get. Glancing around, she let out a soft sigh. She felt really out of place right now, and she couldn't help thinking that the number of people inside was a safety hazard of some sort. "I'm gonna go grab a drink." She shouted, attempting to push her way through the crowd. Some fresh air sounded pretty good right about now.
Chris was pretty pleased with the party's turnout. He was certain that it would live up to the expectations of anyone who knew how crazy his frat's parties could get. The word around campus was that they were never ones to disappointment, and that certainly seemed to be the case tonight. As his eyes scanned the dance floor, he didn't see a single person who looked to be having a bad time. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. That's when his eyes landed on her. He was almost mesmerized by the way she moved her hips along with the beat of the music, her hands above her head to show just how carefree she was. And there was a smile on her face as well, one that almost seemed to light up the entire room. "If you'll excuse me gentlemen, I think I've found something a bit more appealing than this petty argument we're having. It's been fun." He finished off his beer before starting towards the dance floor.

It took a few elbows to peoples backs and a bit of wiggling uncomfortably close to some people, but Chris finally managed to get outside within the minute. Once he was outside, he chugged the beer that was left in his cup, and put it down inside another empty cup that was on a table. This was going to be a shitshow to clean, just like the rest of their parties. The outside of the house was basically people smoking, and people sitting on the lawn talking. It was still loud, the music from the house carried outside, but it was a more peaceful out here than it was inside. As he walked towards an empty lawn chair, Chris undid the buttons on his shirt so it fell open. It wasn't exactly cool outside, so he'd take any form of lowering his temperature he could.
Kate sighed a little when Malia pushed through the crowd. She didn't let it get to her, though. If she was going to be there, she might as well have a good time, even if Malia didn't. Kate kept dancing, her body moving with the music. She didn't know the song, but she loved the way the beat felt going through her chest. In her dancing, she turned her head to the right and saw a guy, who she was pretty sure was one of the frat brothers there, heading towards her. She wasn't going to complain about the look on his face, or hell, his face in general. He was definitely a looker. Once he was close enough to her, Kate moved onto her tiptoes to get closer to his ear. "Likin' what you're seein'?" She asked, moving back to look at him with a grin. Normally, she wasn't that forward, but she was a few beers in and figured why not, right?

Malia wasn't looking for Kate to follow her or anything like that. She still wanted her friend to enjoy herself, and she wasn't looking to ruin her night in the slightest. This just really wasn't her scene, and she felt really out of place right now, not to mention that, in the back of her mind, the fact that she had an exam was still there. She figured a drink, and some fresh air might loosen her up a little bit. On her way outside, she grabbed a can of beer before walking out. There were still quite a few people outside, and the loud music pumping through the speakers inside could still be heard, but she already felt a little more at ease. Letting out a soft sigh, she walked over to railing and leaned against it.
Chris knew that she'd spotted him. A slight smirk formed on his face as he continued on towards her. "I wouldn't be here if I didn't." He said, looking down at her. He wasn't one of those sleezy frat guys who hooked up with a different chick every other night, but he couldn't deny the fact that this girl had gotten his attention. He just really liked that she seemed so carefree. He liked when a girl could let loose and have a good time, and she certainly seemed to be one of those girls.

    [busy two days. sorry!]

Chris took of his hat and ran a hand through his short hair. He closed his eyes for a few moments before reopening them, and his eyes fell on a beautiful girl with long, flowing hair. She didn't, much to his dislike, seem very thrilled to be there. "You okay?" Chris asked putting his hat back on. "You don't look too happy." He hoped it wasn't something someone at the party did. He wanted everyone to be having fun.
Kate hadn't really planned out her next step. She didn't know what to say to him past that. He probably didn't really want to talk anyways. Boys, especially college boys in frats, never seemed to want to talk. Instead, she just continued to dance, the same carefree smile on her lips. She wasn't going to turn down a hot guy wanting to dance with her.
