Ember went still at the sound of the siren her eyes widening. They made the executions public for a reason. She explained to Saber what the siren was for as best she could with her shortness of breath. He walked with them to the public square were a large stone table was sitting in the middle of the square on a podium. The town gathered around and the city hall doors were opened. A little brown haired girl was dragged out her face red with tears and smeared with dirt. The tears streamed down her cheeks and Ember felt her self shaking standing between Saber and her little Drop. Ember could feel the tears threatening. Brooke wintered beside her and went to turn to Ember. Ember kneeled down and Grabbed Brooke's face. "I need you to be strong." she whispered. "I love you Brooke. Remember the beach mom and dad took us to before we came to Aunt Addie? If we ever get separated meet me there in 5 months okay?" she whispered and Brooke nodded turning into Addie who put a hand on her back. Ember watched the girl. Stones trembled around her the earth seemed to hum at her presence. Ember shook her head. This was wrong. This was all wrong. She was to young be an elementalist. Ember looked over to Saber. He looked frozen but at the same time he seemed to move faster than she could see standing still in one place, She could feel it radiating off of him. Addie looked over at her and shook her head telling her to not do anything stupid. Ember watched as the little girl was placed onto the table bound and gagged tears streaming down her face as the stone table split in two. Ember gasped as they pulled the girl off and pulled out her gag. They never made this big of a production before. "Confess you're crime!" the big guard said. The girl screamed a pillar of stonecutting up in the middle of the crowd. She wasn't able to control herself at all. She was to young and to emotional. Ember choked back a sob and had to look away. "No." she whispered feeling weak and yet feeling like she was burning up inside. They would find her and her family... even Saber, if she lost control now. The girl cried out a plea. "Please!" and suddenly it happened. She felt Saber before she saw him move and then her hands were burning with fire. Fear, anger, frustration, and pain all caused her to not be able to keep her calm and the fire she so desperately tried to hide burt onto her skin ready to be thrown and used. Ember saw a guard going to attack Saber as he fought off another and with both hands she thrust her fire at the man watching him catch fire. She felt the tear sizzle off her cheek as the man slowly turned to ash in front of her eyes. She moved away from the crowd that parted. Everyone was screaming and running and they were scared, they were scared of her. Ember tried to focus on Saber seeing him swooping the girl into his arms and she followed after him finding herself going after another guard but this time she hesitated. She was scared of herself.
