Davina smiled widely at him before she pulled him in the direction of the keg. Once there she refilled her cup and then got another empty one and handed it to Ashton, letting him fill it up, "So I just wanted to let you know when I get tipsy or drunk I become a free spirit so there's a good change I'm going to beg you to dance with me. I love to dance when I'm drunk."

As Luke got closer to Aria his nerves started to go through the roof. He was beyond nervous to talk to her for the first time in almost two years. When he finally reached her he took a breath and looked at her, "Aria." He said before he froze, unsure of what to say next. Luke was beyond speechless. It had been so long since he actually wanted to talk to her and now here he was, his first day of college and he was taking this step and talking to her. Now if he could just figure out what to say.

Ashton went ahead to fill up the empty cup that Davina had given him after she refilled her own drink. “Oh? That sounds like something that I definitely have to see, in that case,” he told her in a hum before he looked to her and tilted his head. “So, when you dance after drinking, are you a good dancer or a clumsy one?” he asked with both curiosity and amusement. “Either way, I’ll make sure you don’t fall on your face, so at least you don’t have to worry about that, right?”

“Luke,” Aria greeted with a small nod, though she chewed on her lip in hopes of finding something to say to fill the silence that seemed to linger between the two even with the loud music. “So, you don’t think I’m a total stalker, do you? Because I really thought you would have gone to a different college – I mean, what are the odds we’d both choose this college to go to. Sorry, I’m rambling.” She smiled awkwardly, trying to ignore the small flutter in her heart and stomach. Luke still made her nervous, maybe now more than ever.

Davina laughed at his words, "I'm a good dancer no matter what. But when I drink I just like it more. Oh and I get chatty too so if I start to annoy you just tell me to shut up. I'll understand in the morning." She said and took a long gulp from her drink and already started to feel the tingle from not having drank in a long time. Her friend Taylor came up to them to refill her own cup, "Don't let her fool you. Getting dancey and chatty aren't the only things she gets when she's drunk. She also gets kind of slutty so watch her hands." Taylor said and winked at Davina before walking off. Davina sighed and rolled her eyes, "Don't listen to her. I don't get that slutty."

Luke listened as she talked, "Well you would've known what college I was going to if you wouldn't have broken up with me before you moved and then left without another word." He said before he took a breath, realizing how completely mean it was to say that, "Aria, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to be rude. Calum made me a drink and I'm a little buzzed and you know how I get. Plus I was kind of mad you wanted to drop our class together." He said then paused, "I was going to do that first." He finished and then laughed.

Ashton watched as the girl walked off – he was pretty sure that he actually knew her. Maybe. Oh well, it didn’t matter. What did matter was her words and, with an amused expression and a look in his eyes that clearly showed curiosity, he turned his attention back to her. “You don’t get that slutty?” he repeated before he let out a quiet laugh. “So, do you actually get slutty? If so, I’ll have to make sure to keep other guys away from you so that they don’t try to take advantage of you,” he said honestly. Of course, the only guys that would probably listen to him would be the guys in his fraternity, but that didn’t matter too much – he’d still keep an eye on her either way. “Guess I will have to watch your hands, though,” he teased.

Aria cringed slightly to his words, not because they were mean but because they were true. “I know, Luke. But, I mean, I was leaving – I knew it would be difficult for us to deal with that if we were together. I mean, being with somebody that you can’t see or talk to or hug or kiss or even just hold hands with would have been torturous, you know that,” she pointed out before she blinked and laughed quietly. “I was only planning to drop it because I didn’t want to make things uncomfortable. I knew I wouldn’t be able to concentrate in that class anyways.” She shrugged, then, but offered a small smile. “You’re a lightweight, Luke.”

Davina laughed at his words, "Yes, Ashton. I don't get that slutty. But I do get slutty." She said and smiled when he said he would keep an eye on her. She liked the thought of him protecting her, "I make no promises of where my hands wander." Davina said honestly before she laughed and downed the rest of her drink. This would probably be the only time all year that she did this so she might as well go all out.

Luke shook his head at her words, "I was willing to do it. For you." He said honestly. When she replied to what he said about the class he laughed as well, "I was planning on dropping it for the same reason." Luke shook his head with another laugh and then nodded at her last words, "I haven't drank in a while so you know what, yeah I am a leightweight tonight and because I am is the whole reason I actually got up the nerve to come talk to you."

“Well, I’m sure that will make for an interesting night,” Ashton pointed out rather casually, though his amusement was still there and it was fairly obvious at that. Hearing her later words, though, caused him to laugh along with her and he nodded in addition to that. “But, I hope you know that, if your hands wander on me, I’m likely to return the favor,” he hummed out before he took a long sip of his drink and let himself relax quite a bit.

“I know that, Luke – and that’s exactly why I couldn’t do it. I couldn’t put you through that, especially when you could meet somebody that you could be around as much as you wanted to, like the girl you’re with,” Aria pointed out, though she grinned to his words and lifted her shoulders in a shrug. “I haven’t turned in the drop sheet yet, unfortunately. But, you know, knowing that you have to get buzzed to talk to me is a little surprising.”

Davina felt her face flush at his words before she smiled at him, "Well, well, well. Look who's getting slutty now." She teased before she filled up her cup again and felt herself beginning to be tipsy, "Welp here we go. I feel it. Come on we might as well start dancing." Davina said with a smile before she took another gulp of her drink and tugged on Ashton's hand and pulled him to where everyone else was dancing.

Luke scoffed at her words, "Her name is Danielle and half the time I don't even want to be around her." He said to Aria before he shrugged, "I was nervous. It's been almost two years and I was still pretty pissed at you." He replied and took a sip of his drink as he looked down at her. Luke was surprised that he was able to just let the conversation flow out of him like it was nothing.

(Good chance this might be my last post for the night. I was trying to finish rewatching season two of TVD but I just got hit mad hard with tiredness because of being at my boyfriend's baseball game and it being so hot and then running around with my little cousin all this morning and yeah.)

"So demanding," Ashton joked as he finished his cup and let her tug him away. Following her without much restraint, he looked around at everybody else who was dancing together. "Alright. I suppose I might as well dance with you, since you seem so excited about it.'

"Oh? But you two seemed pretty inseparable after class," Aria pointed out with confusion. It surprised her a bit to hear that he didn't want to be around her sometimes, but she was a little relieved to hear it. "I'm a little surprised that you're talking to me at all, but I'm glad regardless."

"Another great quality I have when I drink." She joked and went right to the middle of the crowd of dancing students and she nodded, "Drinking buddy also means dancing buddy. It's in the rule book. Did you not do your homework. Gosh." Davina teased and started to dance with him.

"Yeah because you were there." He pointed out and gave her a 'duh' look and then nodded, "I'm glad I came over to talk to you. I'm glad Calum told me to come over as well or I probably just would've spent most of the night drinking and staring at you and avoiding Danielle."

"There's a rule book now?" Ashton asked with mock surprise, "You should show me where to find it so that I can keep all the rules in mind." He grinned, then, when she started dancing with him and he wasted little time before he started dancing with her.

"So, you were trying to make me jealous, then? That's not very nice. I should make you jealous," Aria said with a teasing grin, though it took her a moment to realize that she almost sounded flirtatious. She tried to remind herself not to flirt with him. "Staring at me? Why?"

Davina laughed at his words before she smiled when he started to dance with her, "The rule book is in my head but I would be happy to write a copy out for you if you want." She said with a smile as they danced.

"I wasn't trying to make you jealous exactly. More like try to make you think I wasn't still hurt." Luke said honestly before he shrugged, "Because I would be thinking about talking to you but I wouldn't be able to actually do it so I would just probably end up staring at you in response." He replied.

Ashton offered a slight grin and lifted his shoulders in a shrug. "Well, I can't say that I wouldn't mind a copy of the rule book. You know, just in case," he joked lightly. Though he knew that it was highly unlikely that she would actually write down a copy for him, it was still fun to joke about.

A deep sigh left Aria's lips with the conversation. Really, she felt awkward having a conversation like this with him despite that she knew that it shouldn't be this awkward. "I see," she murmured before she looked towards the crowd of people. "You moved on, Luke. You shouldn't really care whether I think you're hurt or not."

Davina smiled up at him and then grabbed his hands and laughed, "Holy shit your hands are huge." she gawked before giggling lightly, "But anyway. Rule number two. Hands go on hips. Maybe sometimes somewhere else." she grinned and placed his hands on her hips.

Luke frowned at her words, "I haven't moved on. Aria I would never move on from you. I could never move on from you." he admitted before running a hand through his hair, feeling so awkward having this conversation with her. "I need a drink. We are both way too sober to have this conversation." he said and walked away to get them both drinks.

Ashton couldn't help but to let out a slight laugh at her words. "That so?" he asked before he offered a small grin, his hands gripping her hips as he quirked a brow. "So, for future reference, would I get hit by you if my hands decided to travel? Or is that completely fair game to you?" Maybe he was more than a little curious, but he wasn't sure if it was a smart idea to admit it.

Aria sighed to his words and rubbed at her forehead. He was probably right, they really were too sober for this conversation. At the same time, though, she didn't really trust herself to be under the influence around him. Regardless, she nodded slightly and watched him head off to get the drinks.

Davina laughed lightly at his words and shrugged, "Depends on how much I've had to drink." She said before she gave him a sheepish grin, "Or how much I like where they travel. I'm not going to hit you for testing though." She added with a grin. She took another gulp of her drink before she swayed her hips with Ashton's hands, a smile firmly rooted on her face.

Luke returned with two cups and handed one to Aria with a small smile. He instantly took a huge gulp of his, needing to relieve the awkwardness with alcohol. He didn't really want to have the conversation with Aria, but he knew he had to, and if he didn't then he would be kicking himself for not having the conversation with her.

Well, that almost relieved Ashton, the broad grin staying in place. "I'll keep that in mind, then," he teased lightly. So far, the outcome of the party seemed pretty good. He was dancing with an attractive girl and it wasn't nearly as ridiculous as it seemed to be when he watched other people dance together. He moved with her, but not nearly as much, since he didn't want to make a fool of himself in front of her. "How much do you plan to drink tonight, anyways?"

Aria offered a small smile in response to his smile, though she tried not to let his smile get to her too much. "Thanks," she said as she took a drink and glanced around. "I probably won't drink much of this, though. Alcohol and me with you around doesn't mix well," she reminded with a small shrug as she rested her gaze back on him. "So, back to the previous topic?"

Davina grinned at his words before she shrugged, "Tonight will probably be the only night I go out, so I plan on getting plastered tonight. Which is why you're my drinking buddy tonight. You'll drink with me, but you can also keep me somewhat in check." She replied with a laugh as they moved together. She was really happy with the way that the night was going so far. She liked that she was spending time with Ashton.

Luke nodded in response before she spoke again and he raised an eyebrow, "It doesn't?" He question, though he knew the answer very well. When she asked if they were going to go back to the previous topic, he sighed and nodded before he took a sip of his drink. He was still kind of nervous around her, but felt it all fading away slowly.

"I think I can handle keeping you in check," Ashton decided with a nod. He didn't plan on drinking too much, after all. Plus, he didn't trust other guys not to take advantage of the opportunity if they spotted her and saw how drunk she was, if she really did end up getting plastered. "But, if I'm meant to keep you in check, it means I'll have to chase off all of the potential one-night stands," he joked lightly.

"Of course it doesn't," Aria said, and, really, she was almost amused that he even asked. She got flirty when she was drunk - though, her flirtatious behavior had only ever been directed towards Luke, which Calum had often teased her about before she and Luke had gotten together in the past. She sighed, though, when he nodded. "Okay. Where do we start with it, then?"

Davina grinned at his words before he spoke again and she raised an eyebrow, "Well then it's a good thing that you're keeping me in check." She replied with a grin before she finished off her drink. She decided to wait a bit before getting another one, not wanting to get drunk too fast. She liked the tipsy feeling where she still knew what she was doing, but she was still feeling good.

Luke laughed and nodded, "I know. I just wanted to ask to see if it was still true." He replied before she asked him where to start, "How about why you felt like it wouldn't work? Because you didn't even try to make it work." He stated. All this time, and he was finally getting able to talk with Aria and talk about everything that happened. He felt like a weight was being lifted off his shoulders.
