(I'm on my phone again so it might be short)
Charlie laughed at his words, "Well I was closest with Elijah besides you. I managed to learn a few things." she replied with a grin as she looked up at him. When she heard him say Salvatore she was confused, "What? Salvatore?" she said and looked over towards the grill to see Amelia with a man she hadn't seen before but from how Amelia had described Damon she would've guessed that was him, "Is that Damon?"

Damon was still confused by her words before he noticed her change in tone again and he smiled at her, "She's a Gilbert. She also is a Petrova doppelganger. So in other words she's a Gilbert that looks exactly like Katherine." Damon explained before he pulled on Amelia's arm and tugged her toward Klaus and her friend Charlie.

(Ah, it's fine! I've been on my phone the past few posts, too, hence why they're short.)

Klaus blinked with confusion and turned his attention to Charlie. "Do you know Damon?" he asked, a frown soon taking over his features. He would have preferred to keep his connection with Charlie a secret from the Salvatore gang, for her safety, but that didn't seem possible now.

"Great, another Katherine. Just what the world needs," Amelia drawled with a frown before she tugged her arm out of Damon's grasp. She preferred not to be tugged around, really. Approaching the other two, she glanced at Klaus before settling her eyes on Charlie. "Coming here was a bad idea for me."

Charlie shook her head, "No the girl that is with him is my friend Amelia." She said before the two approached her and Klaus. She frowned at Amelia's words, "I'm sorry to hear that." she said and looked to Klaus. Charlie didn't feel the same as Amelia, "Klaus this is Amelia." she introduced before she smiled at Klaus and then Amelia before looking at Damon, "You must be Damon. From what I've heard about you and from what Amelia just said I already don't like you." She said.

Damon frowned at Amelia's words before he looked towards Charlie when she spoke to him, "Join the club, sweetheart. A lot of people don't like me. You're friends with Klaus so I don't like you." Damon retorted. He was not in the mood for this right now and his attitude was letting it show. He looked at Amelia and then at Klaus, "Do you make a habit about ruining young girl's lives?" he asked.

Admittedly, Klaus was a little pleased to hear that Charlie already didn't like the Salvatore. At least that meant she might stay far away from him. Hearing Damon's words, though, he stared at the vampire with a deep frown. "Sorry to disappoint, but I don't recall ruining Charlie's life," he drawled, "I can't seem to say the same for you, considering they've been here for less than an hour and already her friend wants to run for the hills."

Amelia sighed as she listened to the group. "Well, I wouldn't be that dramatic about my desire to leave," she mentioned after a moment or so before she frowned to Damon. "But, you have no reason to dislike my friend just because she's friends with somebody you dislike. You'd think that all of this time of being a vampire would make you grow up a bit."

Charlie rolled her eyes at Damon's words, "Alright let's cool it with the testosterone." She stated and then looked at Amelia when she spoke to Damon. Charlie felt bad for what her friend was going through, "Amelia could we get that drink now?" She asked before she looked at Klaus, "You were headed that way anyway weren't you?" Charlie was more than willing to get a drink with Klaus seeing as it had been so long since she had, "I mean unless you'd rather hang out with Mr. Salvatore." She added back to Amelia.

Damon rolled his eyes at Klaus' words before he looked at Amelia when she spoke and frowned. Today was just not a good day for Damon and he really needed a drink or something. He groaned when Charlie suggested that she and Amelia went and got a drink then offered for Klaus to join them, "There's no way I'm leaving Amelia alone with him." He said to Charlie.

Klaus lifted his shoulders in a slight shrug to Charlie's words. "I was planning to get a drink to pass the time, so I don't mind joining you and your friend," he decided easily. He almost dismissed Damon's words but, instead, he offered a slight smirk. "Worried I'll corrupt your little friend and get her to turn on you? I wouldn't even need compulsion for that, considering there's obvious tension between you two."

Admittedly, Amelia was more than willing to go get the drink that she and Charlie had planned on. She needed something to get her mind off things more than anything. But, hearing Damon's words and then Klaus', she sighed. "It'd probably be best that I just stick with Damon. Otherwise, we might have to keep them from fighting," she muttered.

Charlie nodded at Amelia's words, "Sounds good. I'll just meet you at the house then whenever?" She suggested and smiled at her friend. She agreed with Amelia that it would be best to keep Klaus and Damon away from each other. Hell it was probably best to keep Charlie away from Damon for a good amount of time. Charlie hated Damon for what he did to Amelia and she didn't know if she would ever be able to look past the fact that he did that.

Damon glared at Klaus when he spoke before he smirked at Amelia's following words, "Good. I'm better company anyway." He said, "No need for you to be hanging around old men." He added and looked back at Klaus. Damon didn't know what it was all of a sudden that suddenly made him just feel the need to prove to Amelia that he was better than Klaus.

Amelia just rolled her eyes to Damon's words, but nodded in response to Charlie's. "Yeah, I'll meet you there and we can get started on unpacking and decorate some time this week," she decided before she looked over to Damon. A sigh escaped her lips and she gestured for him to lead the way to wherever. "Take care of my friend, Klaus."

Klaus simply ignored Damon's words - which was definitely something that was difficult for him and didn't happen often. Instead, he looked to Charlie and quirked a brow. "So, you're not just visiting Mystic Falls?" he questioned with curiosity, though he offered a small nod in response to Amelia's words. "Of course I will," he hummed out with a smirk.

Charlie nodded at Amelia's words and then watched as she and Damon walked away. Charlie pulled on Klaus's arm towards the bar so they could have a drink, "No Amelia and I are here to stay for a little while. I needed to get away from New York for a while. Not just a few months like I did when I would visit other countries. But for a long while. And now you're here and you have business here I now have an even better reason to stay." She said as they walked into the bar and she grinned up at him.

Damon walked with Amelia and looked down at her, "I don't understand why anyone would want to be friends with Klaus. Doesn't she know that he's evil? Like no joke. He's planning on sacrificing people to break his little curse and they all happen to be apart of the founding families. Elena is a Gilbert. Caroline, the vampire, is a Forbes. Tyler, the werewolf, is a Lockwood. And the witch he is going to force to do it, her name is Bonnie. She's a Bennett witch." Damon explained and sighed at Amelia.

Klaus' lips upturned a bit when she mentioned that the fact that he was there was an even better reason for her to stay there. "Is that so?" he asked with an arched eyebrow as he let his eyes rest on her. Approaching the bar, he went ahead to order drinks for them, having remembered her old favorite. "When I leave here after my business is done, do you plan on coming along with me?"

Amelia listened to him quietly, though she didn't understand what point there was in telling her all of this. "A curse, huh?" she hummed out before she let out a sigh. "Look, I'll feel bad for the people, but nothing in this town is my business anymore. I'm not getting involved with anything supernatural here, not after everything that happened last time."

Charlie was taken aback by his words, "You--you would want me to come with you?" She was shocked. It didn't even register to her that he said that when his business is finished he would be leaving. She couldn't believe he would ask her that. It was shocking to her, "Would it just be us?" Charlie asked. She wanted more than anything to go with him but she wouldn't just leave Amelia.

Charlie was taken aback by his words, "You--you would want me to come with you?" She was shocked. It didn't even register to her that he said that when his business is finished he would be leaving. She couldn't believe he would ask her that. It was shocking to her, "Would it just be us?" Charlie asked. She wanted more than anything to go with him but she wouldn't just leave Amelia.

Klaus offered a small shrug in response to her words. “If you want,” he told her, “It’d be best for it to be just us.” It’d be safer and they were alone. Plus, since he would be going out in search of werewolves to turn into hybrids once the curse was gone, it’d be easier for him to protect her if there was just her to watch out for. He couldn’t tell her all of this right now, though, not when there was the possibility that she wouldn’t exactly approve of the idea.

“You’re not my business, Damon,” Amelia said calmly, not even bothering to glance at him, though she could feel her heart clench at her own words. “And, we had a past. That was over a hundred years ago. As far as I’m concerned, that past ended the moment I left Mystic Falls in the first place – I have no allegiance to you or your friends. And, from what I’ve heard, Klaus was actually a good person to Charlie, so I’m not worried about them.”

Charlie smiled widely at him before it dropped at his words about it being only them, "Why if I didn't know any better I would say that the Niklaus Mikaelson was asking me to run away with him." She said with a grin and pretended to faint, "I have to see what Amelia wants. I can't just leave her. She's my best friend. I have been with her since the twenties."

Damon wouldn't admit how much her words actually hurt him, "Well maybe Klaus was a good person when Charlie met him but he isn't now and I wouldn't trust Charlie to be alone with him. She doesn't know how he is now. I know how he is now. I told you what he's up to." Damon replied with a harsh tone. He wasn't trying to be so harsh with her but he was tired of people not listening to him.

Klaus let an amused expression cross his features and he shook his head slightly to her words. “As fun as running away sounds, I’m quite sure there’s no reason for us to really run away anymore,” he pointed out casually. The only reason he would be leaving, after all, was to go searching for werewolves to turn into hybrids when the time came. He, however, blinked to her later words. “Are you sure she would even care, love? It seems she’ll be a bit occupied with Salvatore.”

“God, Damon, do you really think I’m going to believe anything that comes out of your mouth?” Amelia asked bluntly, though her tone had turned just as harsh as his. “You have no right to judge people. Even if you’re telling the truth about Klaus, that doesn’t mean that he won’t be good to Charlie. Hell, Charlie could change him back to how he was before – people change for those they care about, you know.”

"I know she would care, Klaus. She's my best friend." She said, "I know that she isn't going to stay with Damon. I know she isn't going to want to stay here with Damon being here." Charlie added and then placed a hand on his arm, "Niklaus you know me. You know I can't just leave her. She's been with me since the twenties. I owe her so much." Charlie looked him in the eye and sighed.

"Because I know what I'm talking about, Amelia!" He yelled and then he frowned at her next words and he shook his head, "People can change, Amelia. Good people can change. Monsters do not change. Monsters like Klaus do not change." He made her look him in the eye as he stared right at her. Monsters like me do not change. He wanted to say.

Klaus listened to her quietly and part of him wanted to disagree with her. Whatever she owed the girl didn’t really matter – he could make the girl forget all about it and he was sure that Charlie knew that. “How are you so sure she won’t stay here?” he asked with an arched eyebrow and a tilt of his head. “And, if you want her to come with you or stay here, we both know I can make either happen easily, love.”

Amelia clenched her fists, then, and glared up at him. “We’re all monsters, Damon,” she reminded, her voice low and quiet, because she didn’t want to attract attention to them. “We kill people and rely on human blood to survive and sustain ourselves. You can’t judge one supernatural without judging all of us, yourself and me included. And, anybody can change if they have motivation – and I think Charlie is motivation enough for him.”

Charlie shrugged, "You know what, if she does than she does and I will go with you no questions asked." She said and then smiled widely at his next words, "I know you can, Klaus." She said and then took a sip of her drink, "We'll see. Alright?" She asked and smiled at him before she looked down at her hands then back up at him, "I don't know if you realize how excited I am that you're alive." Charlie said before taking a breath and another sip from her glass, "So where is Elijah? And Rebeckah? I know they have to be close if you're here. They're always with you." She said with a grin.

Damon shook his head at her words, "You're not a monster, Amelia." He said, "You never were." He added before he shook his head again, "I don't believe you. You don't even know him. You don't know if he can change. I know Klaus because I'm on the verge of becoming him. Becoming as bad as him." Damon admitted, looking away from her.

Klaus nodded to her words and went ahead to take a long swig of his drink before he swirled the liquid in the glass that it was in. Her later question and words caught him off guard, though. Unsure of how she might react if he told her that they were in their coffins, he lifted his shoulders in a slight shrug. “They’re around somewhere,” he answered easily. “I haven’t been keeping track of them as much as I did in the past.” That was a lie.

“You haven’t been around me since I became a vampire. You can’t really judge whether I’m a monster or not, Damon,” Amelia pointed out bluntly, though she soon frowned to his words. “You’re comparing yourself to Klaus now? You have a thousand years left before you can become anywhere near as bad as you’re saying he is.”
