Being back in Weybridge was a strange feeling. Charlotte honestly never thought she would go so long without coming back, she never intended to distance herself from everyone that she had. It was just hard. Having an ocean placed between her and numerous family members and friends just made things way more challenging than anticipated. She was glad to be back though, and glad that her sister had included her in the wedding planning. She knew it was going to be strange and slightly awkward at times, but it was her little sister's wedding, and that was something special. While she hadn't stayed in touch with her friends and some of her family members, which she knew would make things awkward and weird, this just wasn't something that she wanted to miss out on in the slightest.

Of course, she knew that Josh would be there, it was kind of inevitable seeing as her sister was marrying one of his best friends. Charlotte really didn't know how she'd handle seeing him. She liked to think that she'd be okay and that she'd handle it well, they hadn't seen each other in a really long time, but she supposed that only time would tell.

"So, she's going to be at the wedding then?" Dan asked as he walked out of the kitchen, two beers in hand, one for him and one for a slightly distraught looking Josh. He'd shown up at the flat a few minutes prior. Apparently Charlotte was on her way back to Weybridge to help her sister, who was Max's fiancée, with some last minute wedding planning. It honestly kind of surprised Dan that she'd be coming back after all this time. Hardly anyone had heard from her since she went off to university in the states, Josh included. The pair had started losing touch and ended up breaking up because the distance was too much.

Dan knew how much that had impacted Josh, and it was quite clear why his friend was in such a distressed state now. "When's she getting here?" He handed the singer one of the bottles and took a seat next to him on the couch.

"Fuck." was all that Audrey was able to say, "Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." She ran a hand through her hair and sighed as she sat down on her bed. She couldn't believe this was happening, "I'm going to fucking kill him." She stated as she stood up from her bed and walked out to her living room, grabbing her keys and phone before heading to Dan's apartment.

As if it wasn't bad enough that her and Dan couldn't stand each other now this happened and she didn't know what was going to happen now. She drove quickly over to Dan's apartment and banged on the door hard, "Flint! Let me in!" She called through the door. Although she wanted to kill him at the moment she wouldn't deny how nervous she was to tell him.

Josh ran a hand through his hair as he freaked out on Dan's couch. When his friend handed him the beer he took it and nodded, "Yeah I'm pretty sure I heard Chris say she's going to be the maid of honor or something. I mean I wouldn't expect anything less due to the fact that it's her sister." Josh stated and took a long drink of his beer before sighing.

"I think she should be here by now. I kind of spaced out when Chris told me she was coming back." He admitted, "I'm freaking out Dan. I don't know what to do." He said before there was pounding on Dan's door and Josh looked over when he heard Audrey's voice on the other side, "What's she doing here? You two hate each other."

"Fuck." was all that Audrey was able to say, "Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." She ran a hand through her hair and sighed as she sat down on her bed. She couldn't believe this was happening, "I'm going to fucking kill him." She stated as she stood up from her bed and walked out to her living room, grabbing her keys and phone before heading to Dan's apartment.

As if it wasn't bad enough that her and Dan couldn't stand each other now this happened and she didn't know what was going to happen now. She drove quickly over to Dan's apartment and banged on the door hard, "Flint! Let me in!" She called through the door. Charlotte honestly didn't know what she was going to say to him when she saw him. Did she try to play it off like she wasn't completely freaking out on the inside? Did she avoid him at all costs? She didn't really know what the best way to approach this whole situation was. She just didn't want to screw up and ruin things for her sister and Max. She jnew that, as weddings usually were, this was important for both of them and she wasn't about to be that family member that caused some sort of drama at the wedding.

"Where exactly are we going again?" She asked her sister as she got out of the car. "Just for some drinks with everyone. My big sister's back in town and I'm getting married in two weeks, I think this calls for a celebration." Charlotte had a feeling she'd be seeing Josh sooner than she expected.

Dan nodded. "Well, d'you reckon she's meeting up with all of us tonight then?" He realized after he spoke that maybe that wasn't the best question to ask regardless of whether or not Charlotte was going to be out with them for drinks tonight or not. "Not that you have anything to worry about, mate. It'll be fine." He would have said more if there hadn't been pounding on the door of his flat accompanied by an all too familiar voice.

He grimaced, wondering what the hell Audrey was doing here right now. He sighed softly and stood. "I have no idea." He said. "Listen, why don't you head on over to the pub? I'll meet you and everyone else there in fifteen minutes tops. I just want to see what she's doing here." He didn't wait for his friend's response and simply went to answer the door. "Can I help you?"

Audrey stood back and waited for Dan to open the door. She glared at him when he spoke, "Oh no you've done enough." She said and walked right through the door without being invited in. She smiled weakly at Josh, "Hey Josh." She said. "Hey Audrey." He said before he walked out of the apartment, nodding at Dan on his way out.

"So guess what I found out today." She said bitterly as she turned and looked at him. She couldn't believe she actually had to tell him this. It was her worst nightmare.

He went down to his car and drove towards the pub everyone was meeting at. He parked his car and sighed before running a hand through his hair then getting out, "Well here goes nothing." He said to himself before walking towards the entrance. Josh walked in and looked around for Max and everyone. He finally found them and walked over. He saw Charlotte and her sister and he froze before he willed himself to continue walking, greeting Max and Chris and Matt quickly before he looked over and greeted Charlotte's sister. He stopped when he got to Charlotte, unsure what to say.

Audrey rolled her eyes at his words, "You might want to sit down." She stated before she looked at him, "So do you remember that night three weeks ago when you and I got really drunk and hooked up?" She asked him. Audrey didn't know why she was beating around the bush. She needed to tell him but she was beyond nervous. This was life changing. She was fucked if this didn't go over well. Well she was fucked as it was but still, "I'm pregnant." She finally blurted out.

Josh took a breath and could feel everyone in the group's eyes on the two of them, "Hi." He replied back and he wanted to slap himself in the face. Out of all the things he could have said to her he had to repeat what she had just said. Josh knew he shouldn't be this weird around her. It wasn't his fault the relationship ended so he had no reason to be weird.

Well, this was officially awkward. It was strange to say the least. Charlotte could recall a time when it used to be so easy to talk to Josh. Now it was difficult just trying to get a few words out. It was to be expected though, what with how things had ended between them. She supposed that it could have been worse though, much worse. The thing was, she had no idea what to say next. She didn't know how to act around him in the slightest, and it seemed as though he was in the same boat as she was. "It's um, good to see you..."

Dan had no idea what she was on about. Sit down? Why would he want to sit down for whatever she had to tell him? He didn't make a move to sit down or anything, a blank expression on his face as he waited for her to continue. "I was under the impression that we weren't speaking of that night ever again, but go on." He said, sipping his beer. He still didn't know where she was going with this. Not even a little bit. He choked on his drink when she spoke, obviously not expecting her to say what she did. "i'm sorry?"

She repeated and bit her lip as she looked up at him, "I know this is weird and completely sudden and awkward but I didn't know how else to tell you and I only just found out today." She said then continued to ramble, "Look I know that it's no secret that we aren't friends or anything and I know we vowed to never speak of that night again but soon it's going to be pretty obvious to everyone that it happened." She took a breath and looked at him, "Say something please." She stated.

Charlotte wanted to say more, there were so many unspoken words that she'd wanted to say for years now. Every time she reached for her phone though, there was always a thought that stopped her. He's probably moved on by now....If he wanted to talk to you, he'd call...He doesn't care about you anymore...If you were supposed to be together, you never would have broken up in the first place...If you were meant to work, you would have figured the distance out... But now, under his cerulean gaze, she still couldn't bring herself to say a single word that she'd wanted to. And before she could try to force any of the words out, she watching his retreating figure head towards the bar. "I'll go talk to him." Max said, exchanging a quick glance with Charlotte's sister before sending an apologetic expression the brunette's way and then following after his friend to the bar. "This was a bad idea, El." She said quietly, a small frown tugging at the corners of her lips as she watched Max follow after the singer. "Don't say that, Char. He'll come around. He just needs time."

Dan's mouth had gone dry, almost dryer than the worst case of cotton mouth he'd ever had. He couldn't have heard her right. Maybe he was dreaming. Or maybe there was something in his beer. But she'd said it twice, that would be the realest hallucination imaginable. He took a seat on the arm of the sofa and ran a hand over his face, rubbing his thumb and index finger over his eyes before he fixed his gaze on Audrey once more. Was the room getting smaller? Had it gotten warmer all of a sudden? No, that definitely wasn't possible. It was almost November. The chill of Autumn had sunk in weeks ago. He was at a loss for words, and he knew that likely wasn't helping the situation, nor was the fact that he was very clearly in a state of panic. Finally, after a few moments of simply staring at the redhead, he spoke. "Fuck..." He swore. "You're absolutely sure?"

Audrey frowned at his reaction as if she wasn't freaking out herself, "Yes, I'm sure, Daniel. I did blood tests with my doctor's office to figure out why I was feeling this way. I'm five weeks." She replied. Audrey knew that the sass she was giving wasn't really called for, but she was upset and didn't really know what to feel, and his reaction wasn't helping her in the slightest, "I haven't slept with anyone else since you by the way, if that's your next question." Audrey didn't go around just sleeping with guys, and when she and Dan slept together, they were both pretty drunk, so it was a fluke, "Look, I know that we aren't each other's biggest fans, but I am keeping this baby, and you're the father, so you should be in its life, but I will understand if you choose to not be." Audrey stated.

Josh looked over when Max sat down next to him at the bar, "I know, Max, I'm just freaking out." Josh said before he took a long drink from his beer, "I know it's a lot, mate, nobody blames you. It's a lot on her as well. Just take your time." Max said as he clapped a hand on his friend's shoulder. Josh sighed, "I just didn't think I was going to be so bloody awkward about it. It was like, I saw her, and all of my words didn't want to form. I had so many things I could have said to her, but I stuck with 'hey' and 'it's good to see you too' like I had just met her for the first time or something." Josh groaned once more before he down the rest of his beer and signaled for another, "I just need a few pints in me to loosen up." He stated.

Charlotte wanted her sister to be right. She wanted to believe that Josh just needed a little bit of time to come to terms with her being back in Weybridge, but that small voice inside her head kept telling her otherwise. She also honestly felt really bad for taking the attention off of Eleanor and Max that night, and she didn't want to draw any unnecessary attention to herself tonight or at the wedding for that matter. The last thing she wanted was to be the center of attention due to her own relationship drama on her little sister's big day. "I hope you're right." She said with a sigh. "I'm definitely not drunk enough to deal with this right now though, and considering you're about to be completely spoken for, I do believe a round of drinks are in order. It isn't every day that I get to celebrate my little sister getting married."

Dan knew that he wasn't helping the situation in the slightest by panicking. He couldn't very well help it though. They were fucked. Up the creek without a paddle. Completely and utterly screwed. And while there were a few obvious solutions, he wasn't about to be a total arse and suggest them. He wasn't exactly Audrey's biggest fan, but they were both adults, and they were going to handle this like any other adults would. As much as he wanted to run for the hills right about now, he wasn't going to do that to her. He wasn't going to be that dick who abandoned his kid because he wasn't ready for fatherhood and then showed up years later to try and be in their life. No, he was going to stick this out even if it did scary the living hell out of him. "I wasn't going to--" He started before shaking his head. He didn't want to get into an argument with her right now. No, there were more pressing matters to deal with than the petty little arguments they got into all the time. "This all fucking terrifies me, Audrey, but we both fucked up big time, and I'm not about to let you go through this alone, regardless of how we feel towards each other."

Audrey couldn't help but let out a breath at his words. She didn't realize that she had been holding it in, but now she felt relieved. She wouldn't have to do this alone, "I'm going to make an appointment for sometime this week to go to the doctor and make sure everything is okay." She stated and sighed, "I guess this means we should at least try and get along. For the baby's sake." Audrey suggested. She wasn't sure how well getting along with Dan would work, and it was hard for her to even begin to try imagine a world in which the two weren't constantly at each other's throats, but it was going to have to happen if they wanted this baby to have a normalish life.

Josh finished off a second beer before he ordered two shots for him and Max. After that, he started to feel a little bit less tense and awkward. He knew that it was going to take some time for things to be semi-normal between him and Charlotte, but he was going to have to try for sake of Max and Eleanor and their upcoming wedding. The two were just going to have to come to terms with the fact that this was definitely an awkward situation, but they had to deal with it at least for a little while they got ready for the wedding. Josh ordered another beer before he and Max walked back to the table with everyone else. Josh stood next to Charlotte, but didn't say anything yet for fear of being awkward. One more beer ought to do the trick.

Charlotte wanted to believe that things would at least be somewhat normal between her and Josh, and she knew that her sister was probably right about just giving it some time, but she wasn't too hopeful. She knew that being pessimistic about it all wasn't going to help the situation any, but it was simply too difficult for her to picture things not being awkward between them. Their breakup hadn't been a messy one by any means, they'd both simply decided that they couldn't make the distance work, but that didn't mean not having any contact with each other for over half a decade now was making things easy for either of them. She decided to push the thoughts to the back of her mind for the time being though, and chose to make the best of an awkward situation and get a couple of drinks into her. Maybe she just needed a little liquid courage to help her deal with things, and that's precisely what she did as she ordered a third round of drinks for Eleanor, a few of El's friends and herself. Two tequila shots and a beer later, she had definitely loosened up a bit. She hadn't noticed Josh standing next to her at first, the singer was being unusually quiet, though she didn't exactly blame him. The alcohol in her system made her feel a lot less tense than she had earlier though, and this time she was able to utter more than a brief greeting. "This place hasn't changed a bit." She commented, offering the Aegean eyed man a small smile.

Dan was honestly still sort of at a loss. This was the last outcome he'd expected from the redhead's unexpected visit to his flat. He knew that they'd both been drunk when they'd hooked up, and he hadn't been certain as to whether he'd used a condom or not, but crazier things had happened, and he hadn't given it too much thought considering he and Audrey had both decided that they wanted to pretend that night had never happened. Well, clearly that wasn't happening anymore. There was no denying that it had happened, and it would be quite clear soon enough that it had. "Yeah, you're probably right." He said, running a hand over his face. They couldn't exactly raise a child together while hating each other. If they were going to be in each other's lives now, more so than they had ever been before, then they were going to need to learn how to coexist. It shouldn't be too hard. It wasn't like they were jumping into a relationship or anything, they were simply learning not to bicker and argue constantly, and to stand being in each other's presence for longer than a few minutes. "We're both adults, I think that we can learn to coexist." He hoped that they could anyway, otherwise this wasn't going to work out at all.
