(I wasn't sure if you wanted Calum and Marlee to already be living together or not - so, if you don't want them to already be living together, I can edit this. Also, sorry this took so long; Mibba was acting up.)

Being undercover wasn't easy. Calum had to deal with keeping his cop life and his undercover life separate. He couldn't go in to the station anymore and had to instead call in from burn phones to let everybody know that he was still alive and that his cover hadn't been blown - and that was sometimes difficult, considering the amount of time that he spent within the gang. Plus, there was the fact that he was currently living with one of the gang members. It was strange, really, how normal the gang members acted during the day; it definitely wasn't something that he expected. He supposed that it was because, before this, he had always viewed gang members as a group that just spent every waking moment doing crimes.

What he expected even less was the type of crime. They didn't really do anything dangerous or anything that risked theirs or anybody else's lives. They just did petty crimes, simple ones at that. Letting out a sigh, he ran a hand through his hair and got up from his bed, figuring that he should get the day started. Of course, there wouldn't be much to do until nighttime, but he figured he could spend some time with his roommate, Marlee.
It was likely a terrible idea to live with a cop and be such good friends with one. Aimee knew this, considering her nightly activities of stealing cars and such with the gang that she was involved in. But, given that she had known Ashton for so long, she actually kind of preferred living with him. As long as the gang didn't find out that he was a cop, then everything would be perfectly fine - it wasn't like they came to her place much, anyways. And, when they did, they never discussed anything that involved the gang due to be overly cautious about prying ears. Besides that, Ashton was usually on duty when they came over, anyways, so it was all the better for her.

Though she wasn't sure if he had to work today or not, she had taken the opportunity to make breakfast for the two of them. It wasn't much, really, but she assumed that it would be a good enough breakfast. Moving to his room with the plate, she knocked on the door lightly. "Ash? You awake?" she called out with curiosity, not really wanting to go inside unless she knew that it was okay to. "I made breakfast."

(Yeah, I wanted them to be already living together. But it's still new for them both,)

Ashton had a very long and tiring shift the day before and he was still feeling the affects of it, he had slept like a baby through the whole night. But as the sun light was flooding his bedroom, his body was slowly beginning to wake up even if he wasn't ready for it. He stretched out his body under the covers that kept him warm for the night, he could hear Aimee moving around in the kitchen and instantly knew that she would be making them something delicious to eat. Anything was extra delicious if he didn't have to make the food himself, he had known Aimee for so long and he knew her better than anyone else. He knew that she was a nice, sweet person but she had somehow gotten involved with a gang. He had tried to talk to her about it before, but he quickly learnt that there wasn't anything he could say to change her mind.

"Hm, yeah I'm awake." He murmured as he ran his fingers through his messy hair and regrettably threw the covered back from his body, he climbed out of his comfortable bed and walked over to the door. He was only wearing a pair of boxer shorts as he pulled his shut door open, "Morning Aimee. You didn't need to bring me breakfast," He looked at her and gave her his usual charming grin.
Marlee walked out of the bathroom that she now shared with Calum, not that she minded because they had their own sides of the sink and Calum didn't have as many products as she did. She had taken a shower and got herself ready for the day, she hadn't talked to her older brother Ryan yet about what jobs he had planned for tonight. He always gave her a few jobs and she decided on who got those jobs, it was just how Ryan and herself worked best. Her blonde hair was flowing down her back as she walked through the apartment and smiled when she saw Calum sitting in the living room, "Morning. I'm going to make some eggs and bacon, did you want some too?" She asked as she stepped into the tiny kitchen, she turned the stove on and started to warm up a pan. She loved cooking and baking, so she usually did cook for herself and Calum.

She pulled the eggs and bacon from the fridge before also getting a few pieces of bread ready to be toasted, she trimmed some fat from the bacon as that is how she liked it. She placed the pieces of bacon into the hot pan and begun to cook breakfast, she tucked some hair behind her ear and she glanced over at Calum. "What did you want to do today?" She asked knowing he didn't have any plans for the day.

(Okay, I'm glad I got it right, then. c: )

Though he hadn't known Marlee for long and had honestly lived with her for an even less amount of time, it was easy for Calum to see that she wasn't a bad person - which he hadn't expected, really. He wasn't even sure why her and the rest of the gang were involved in the petty crimes that they did. None of it made much sense to him and he preferred to know everything before he actually gave the rest of the department a reason to arrest them. Shaking the thoughts from his head, he looked over to Marlee and offered a slight grin. "Morning. Yeah, I wouldn't mind some eggs and bacon," he decided with a small nod. Moving to stand up, he made his way over to her, watching her as she cooked. "Do you need any help with any of it?"

He wouldn't mind helping, really. After all, it was only right if she was taking the time to cook him anything at all. "I wasn't really planning to do anything. If you want, we can go out and do something, maybe wander around for a while until your brother calls you." It was only a suggestion, of course, because he couldn't think of anything to keep him busy. "Unless you were already planning to do something today?"
"Morning, Ashton," Aimee chimed with a broad grin, though she couldn't help but to quirk a brow. "I didn't need to make you breakfast, but you didn't need to come to the door in only your boxers, either. Again. If I didn't know any better, I'd think you do this on purpose." Shaking her head in mock disappointment, she honestly couldn't help but to be fairly amused with the entire thing. Then again, it was almost an every day routine, so she was used to it. And it wasn't like she actually complained about it - but she did make it a point to point it out solely in hopes of teasing the man. Whether it ever actually worked or not, though? She wasn't entirely sure.

Regardless, she held the plate closer to herself and tilted her head to the side. "At least put some pants on before I have to give you this food. I worked awful hard on it and would hate for all the love I put in it to be wasted on an almost naked man." She grinned, her tone still fully teasing.

Ashton rolled his eyes as he looked at Aimee, "Come on. You're used to seeing half naked and we both know that you love it," He grinned at her as he didn't do it on purpose, it was just what he slept in and he couldn't be bothered putting on more clothes just to have breakfast. He was always too hungry to think about grabbing some pants, all he wanted to do was eat so his stomach wasn't empty. "Why can't I have your hard work and love when I'm like this? It's not hurting anyone and you know how hungry I get," He looked at her and with a wide smile on his face, he reached out for the plate only to have Aimee lean back even more like they did most mornings. "Fine... I'll put some pants on," He grumbled and playfully huffed as he stepped over to his dresser, he opened a draw and pulled out the first pair of pants that his eyes landed on.

He stuck his legs through and pulled the track pants up to his waist, before he walked back over to where Aimee was still standing. "Are you happy now? I'm starving here, I'm wasting away and you don't even care." He looked at her and raised a brow at her, she was teasing him by not giving him he plate of food.
Marlee nodded her head softly as she added in more bacon into the pan for them both, "You could get us some drinks. There's juice in the fridge for me," She suggested as she now knew that Calum always liked to offer his help whenever she was doing something for the both of them, which she liked because none of the other guys offered to help her when it came to cooking because none of them were any good at cooking. She turned the bacon in the pan and looked over to where he was standing, "Yeah. We can go out and find something to do, we could check out what the movies have on." She offered as she hadn't made any plans for the day either, she normally did but today was free and doing something with Calum sounded fun.

She knew him enough to trust him, but there was a lot more to him that she didn't know yet. "If we go see a movie, we could do lunch either before or after too." Her brother had asked her to get to know Calum more, she did this with every new person because if Marlee didn't like the person than neither would Ryan and he always had the final word when it came to the gang.

Part of Aimee was ready to point out that, no, she didn't love it. Really, she wasn't entirely sure what she thought of it, though, so she didn't want to say anything at all. Instead, she hummed in response, quirked a brow, and offered a small, amused smile. "Whatever helps you sleep at night, Ashy boy," she hummed out in a sing-song voice before she moved past him after he took his plate. Moving to his bed, she flopped down and let herself relax a bit. Tilting her head, she eyed her friend quietly for a few moments. "I would have brought you a drink, too, but I think all we have right now is coffee and I'm too lazy to make that after making breakfast for your lazy self."

Plus, she figured he could get a drink for himself. It wasn't like it would be the first time that she made breakfast but left the rest for him to do. It had become a habit when they first moved in together and, after dating Ryan, it had pretty much stuck even when that relationship ended.
Nodding, Calum got straight to work on getting them each something to drink. After pouring himself a drink and her a glass of juice, he moved over to the table and set their drinks down. "Movies, huh?" he repeated as he thought about it. In a way, it almost sounded like a date, but he knew better than to think too deep into that. Since they lived together, it was kind of expected for them to hang out a bit - and it wasn't like he would really complain about it, at all, so he nodded slowly. "Sure, we can do that," he decided before he offered her a broad grin, glancing over as he took a seat. Since she was still cooking the food, he figured he could just sit there and wait; he wasn't in a rush for breakfast.

"Since we're doing breakfast right now, we can do lunch after. I'll pay for both the movie and the lunch," he told her, deciding that he wouldn't take no for an answer when it came to paying. It was only right, after all - and it wasn't like it would be a problem for him, either. The fact that it was the polite thing to do coupled with all of that made it all the easier for it to be his final decision.

Ashton carefully climbed back into his bed as he didn't want to spill any of his food, "I'm not lazy. I have very busy and long shifts, I have the right to sleep in for as long as I can." He defended himself before he quickly stuffed his mouth with several mouthfuls of his breakfast, he hadn't been expecting to Aimee to also bring him a drink as he was more than happy that she had cooked him breakfast again. "We need to go shopping, we're running out of food anyway." He glanced over at Aimee as he had spoken to her with his mouth full, which he knew is something she hated people doing but he loved to annoy her as much as he possibly could. "Did you want to come grocery shopping with me?" He asked after swallowing his chewed food, he sent her a cheeky grin before shoveling even more food into his mouth.

"It can be a date, yeah?" He chuckled softly as he was joking around with her, he often did that because they were so close and could joke about things like that. He knew that Aimee wasn't seeing anyone and neither was he, of course he wouldn't ever ask her out on an actual date because he was positive that she would reject him. He wasn't sure if it would make them closer or make things awkward between them.
It didn't take Marlee long before she had cooked everything and placed the food onto two plates, she carried them both over to the table and sat down across from Calum. "You don't have to pay, Cal." She looked at him but she knew how stubborn he could be, she wasn't going to say anything else about him wanting to pay. He didn't have to but if that's what he wanted, Marlee wasn't going to sit there and argue with him about it. She loved going to the cinema and she loved the butter covered popcorn nearly as much, "I think there's a new action movie out." She suggested as them both loved similar movies, although Marlee refused to watch anything scary.

She cut her bacon into pieces and filled her mouth with the delicious food, her blue eyes moved across the table to where Calum was sitting. She really didn't know why he had joined the gang, she knew that he could have done anything that he dreamed about. He was different, although she couldn't quite place why she thought that but she felt it. He didn't belong in a gang but if that is what he wanted, then she wouldn't be able to do anything to change his mind.

"Gross, don't eat with your mouth full!" Aimee said quickly before she covered his mouth with both of her hands and glared at him. "That's disgusting." She scrunched her nose with disgust, but rolled her eyes. "I'm out late every night, too, but you don't see me being lazy and sleeping in. I even made you breakfast." After sticking her tongue out at him, she let out a quiet laugh. Really, as much as Ashton annoyed her, she really did adore the man. Maybe more so than she could openly admit out loud, for fear of not only ruining their friendship but because she knew that it would cause problems with Ryan. Though she was still in the gang with him, she knew better than to cross him, even after they had broken up. "Oh, we need food? Maybe because you eat it all?"

She was teasing him, of course. It was how they were and it always brightened her day. With a mischievous smirk, she leaned forward and kissed her hand that was over his lips before pulling back with a laugh. "My, my, a date! How exciting!" she squealed for over-the-top dramatic effect.
Calum thanked her when she brought over the plate and smiled slightly as he got ready to start eating. "I don't mind paying, really. It's the gentlemanly thing to do," he assured her as he wouldn't feel right to make her pay. Besides, he could afford it, so it really wasn't any sort of problem, in his opinion. He liked the thought of it, too, so why not? "We'll have fun," he told her with a small nod and a huge grin before he started eating. The food was great, though he wasn't too surprised. He had eaten with the group a few times and Marlee had cooked for him a few times since he had moved in, too, even though he hadn't moved in too long ago. "A new action movie, huh? You like action movies?" Most girls he knew didn't, so it was a nice change - plus, action movies were always much more fun to watch.

He swallowed a few bites before he took a sip of his drink and decided to ask, "Do you know what movie it is?" It wouldn't matter to him, either way. If she wanted to watch it, then they would; it would give them something to do in their free time before the gang would have to meet. Maybe they could make it a weekly thing or something, who knew?

Ashton couldn't help but grin at Aimee when she covered his mouth with her hands, "No it's not. You've put up with it for this long and you always complain, yet have I stopped talking with my mouth full? Nope, I haven't." He looked at her with a cheeky grin on his face, "Yeah you do. But I do so much more than you, I actually clear the streets from people who shouldn't be there." He teased her playfully as he knew she did a lot with the gang, he often noticed how tired she was even if she refused to admit it to anyone. He hated how hard Ryan could push Aimee, he wasn't sure if the guy did it to the other's in the gang as he never really asked Aimee about the gang. It didn't sit right with him and he highly doubted that she would tell him anything, he wasn't even sure if he wanted to know stuff about the gang. Part of him did because he was a cop and that was his job, to serve and protect the innocent people but Aimee was his best friend and although he tried to protect her. She still decided to be apart of this gang, so for now he would just let her do whatever she wanted while he continued to be there for her.

"I'm a growing boy! Of course I need to eat, you just never buy enough food to last me very long." He grinned although his voice was still muffled from Aimee's hand that was still covering his mouth, a frown settled on his face when she teased him about the date and she kissed her hand before pulling back. A pout was already formed on his lips as he looked at her, "That was so mean."
Marlee smiled when he told her that he wanted to pay for them to go out, "Alright but I'll pay for us next time. It's only fair," She told him as she continued eating the food in front of her, she had dated a few guys who she thought were amazing but they didn't have a speck of a gentleman in them. Aimee and the guys, mostly her brother had warned her about them but she of course didn't want to listen. She found out the hard way that not everyone has her best interest in mind, but Calum seemed different to them. None of them had paid for her or brought her anything, she wasn't the type of girl who needed that or expected it but it was still nice to be spoiled sometimes and that's all she wanted. "Yeah, I've always loved action movies. I can watch anything apart from horror, I hate being scared." She told him smiling as she looked like she would be the typical girly girl and she could be, she loved shopping and makeup but she still liked other things like action movies. "I'm not sure of the name but I've heard that it's really good," She told him after swallowing a mouthful of food.

She hoped that today went well with them because she wouldn't mind if they continued this on a weekly basis, it would give them something to look forward to and would give them a time to relax and not think about work or anything gang related.

Another scoff came from Aimee's lips as she eyed him. "That doesn't make it any less gross," she pointed out with a grossed-out expression. Despite that it was actually really gross, it was still a little amusing, too, but she wouldn't ever actually admit to something as ridiculous as that. Still, shrugging that thought aside, she quirked a brow to his later words and gave him a blank stare for a few moments longer than she probably should have - it was all in good fun, really, even if it wasn't always the best way to go about things. Really, they probably should be more serious, given the circumstances of him being a cop and her being a gang member, but they were best friends, so who could really blame them? "Oh, that's a laugh," she chimed teasingly before she proceeded to roll her eyes. "It's a wonder I'm still on the streets, then, causing so much mayhem," she said, sighing dramatically.

Easily dismissing his mention to her never buying enough food, she instead focused on h is last statement. "Oh? What was mean, Ashy?" she asked, her tone teasing - though that was really nothing new.
This was starting to seem more like a plan for a date - and future ones - than Calum really expected it to. He wasn't complaining, though. The thought actually wasn't a bad one, but he barely knew the girl, so he knew better than to just assume that it was any sort of date at all. "Alright, but only if you get a lot of popcorn at the movies this time around," he told her jokingly, though he honestly didn't like the idea of her having to pay for them at any point, whether it was the next time that they decided to hang out like this or not. It just didn't sit well with him and he doubted that he'd actually let her pay the next time either way. Nodding, he smiled to her words. "Great, we'll watch an action movie, then. Hopefully, it's a good one." Most action movies were good, of course, but sometimes the effects and actors were just too over-the-top and they made it seem overbearing. It was exhausting to watch, really. Still, he'd have to keep in mind that she didn't like horror films, especially if they ended up doing this again.

It only took him a few minutes to finish his meal and, once he was done, he decided that he could go ahead and clean up the mess. It was only fair, given that she had cooked for them. "We'll have fun today before we have to meet up with everybody else later on tonight."

"Oh I never said that it wasn't gross, but you know I can't help myself." Ashton grinned as he took another large mouthful of his breakfast before chewing and swallowing, "Well I can't seem to catch you. That's why you're still out on the streets causing trouble," He joked as it was a subject they usually didn't talk about, he didn't want to know the trouble that Aimee was causing because of the gang and he did hope that if she ever did get caught then it wouldn't be by him because he wouldn't know what he would do in the moment. He looked at her and turned his head to look away from her, "You know what you did was mean. You are such a mean person, I don't know why I'm friends with you." He said childishly as he joked with her, he knew why he was friends with her and that was because she was such an amazing person.

It wasn't long before Ashton had finished eating his breakfast, he climbed off his bed and took their plates into the kitchen so he could wash up whatever mess Aimee had made while she had cooked breakfast for them.
Marlee smiled as she nodded her head, "I'll make sure to get a large bucket of popcorn." She told him as she finished off her food and let Calum take her plate to wash up, she was pretty sure that this movie was going to be a good one. She hoped so because she didn't want to take Calum to a crappy movie and sit through it with him, if he was going to pay then she wanted his money to be worth being spent. She sat there at the table as she flipped with her phone for a little while to just pass some time, Ryan had wanted to plan what everyone did tonight on his own so Marlee was letting him. Although it did make her feel strange, she liked knowing what the plans were for any night but Ryan was determined.

Once she was finished on her phone she walked back into her bedroom so she could finish getting ready for the day, she applied a small amount of makeup to her face and slipped her feet into a pair of sneakers. She grabbed her handbag and made sure her purse was inside before she set her phone into a pocket, walking back out she watched as Calum finished cleaning up the kitchen. "Just tell me when you want to head out," She told him as there wasn't any rush to leave.

"That's absolutely terrible, Ash," Aimee said with amusement, though it was clear she was still a little grossed out by his earlier actions. To his joke, she offered a broad grin and a joking wink before she shrugged. "What can I say? We're pretty great at what we do," she joked right back and she almost sounded proud. She wasn't, though, not really. It wasn't really something to be proud of and she was more than well aware of that. Still, it wasn't like she could just leave the gang after getting involved in it when she had been dating Ryan. Forcing the thought away, she blinked innocently and looked at him. "But I don't know what I did," she whined with a slight pout, though she was quick to hop off the bed and stretch her arms out above her. She supposed it didn't matter either way.

Following him out of the room, she blinked when he started washing up everything and she tilted her head. She was pretty used to it, as it had become routine for them - she'd cook and he'd clean, most of the time, - so she didn't bother trying to talk him out of it because she knew it wouldn't work.
With a grin in response to her words, Calum nodded, admittedly pleased to learn that. Though he wasn't even sure if she could finish off a large bucket of popcorn, he figured she would enjoy as much of it as she could, anyways. "Good," he chimed as he turned his attention to the dishes as he focused on washing them. "Do you even like popcorn, though?" That was something he hadn't thought about when the original suggestion of the movie had first come into topic. But, then, most people liked popcorn, right? Especially movie theater popcorn. At least, that's what he had come to believe with his knowledge of the various movie theater trips he had made in his life. Oh well. If she didn't like it, he'd just get her something else, whatever she wanted. It was only fair, in his opinion, and he hoped that she saw that.

Once he finished the dishes, he went ahead to go change into more appropriate clothes and grabbed his wallet before he came back to the kitchen as well. "Alright, let's go," he told her with a small grin. "Maybe we'll get there early enough to avoid any lines or something." They could hope, couldn't they?
