Love Outweighs Ignorance

Elizabeth piled into one of the taxis with Callie, Matt, Zacky, and Jimmy, squished between the drummer and guitarist. Matt was sitting next to Callie, since he obviously wanted her, whether she realized it or not. The ride to the bar or club or wherever was relatively short, but still too long for Elizabeth, since she was still madly craving a cigarette. She wasted no time in lighting one up as soon as she stumbled out of the taxi, inhaling the sweet nicotine. "So you guys are paying for the drinks, yeah?" Elizabeth asked, turning to the guys and exhaling a cloud of smoke. She was making a conscious effort to be less like herself and be more...outgoing, and she hoped it wouldn't backfire on her.

"Alright, I'll change your name in my contacts, then," Matt joked. He hadn't learned her name when they'd first met, so she was just in his phone as 'that blonde chick'. He was glad he had a name to put to her face now. And it was a pretty name, one that suit her very well. At the bar, Matt quickly agreed when Callie's friend - Elizabeth? - asked if they were buying the drinks. "Of course, we're not total asshats," Matt laughed. He beckoned the bartender over. "We're not gonna invite people out and then expect them to pay for their own drinks." He placed an order, asking for a shot for each of them to start off. "I hope everyone likes Jack," he said, passing around the glasses.

Zack smiled as he got his shot, turning to Elizabeth he raised his shot. "Cheers." He said gently tapping get her glass, before chugging his shot. Then quickly ordering himself a beer, "what'd you want?" He questioned, as his beer was placed in front of him. He raised a brow at her, hoping to encourage her.

Callie felt Matt's hand on her back once he passed around the shot. Her eyes landed on Liz, noticing that Zack had his sight set on her. Shaking her head she threw back her shot. Hating the burn of the first shot, enjoying the warmth that serge through her body. Softly nibbling on her lip as she felt his hand gently travel around her lower back, his fingers dancing across her exposed skin. Letting her eyes trial around the place, she was glad she didn't have to pay for her drinks. But then she didn't plan on getting trashed, walking was hard as it is so adding drinking to it would make it impossible. But none the less she planned on having a good time.

Elizabeth took the shot glass that was offered to her and tossed it back, shaking her head as the whiskey burned its way down her throat. She jumped slightly when she heard Zacky talking to her, looking over at him as he was given a beer. "Uh, just a rum and coke is fine," she said. She managed a small grin. She wasn't going to lie, she was surprised that Zacky was paying attention to her; she thought he would go off and find some other girl to spend the night with. But Elizabeth definitely wasn't complaining. Elizabeth thanked the bartender when he placed her drink in front of her, taking a small sip.

"Anything else you want?" Matt whispered to Callie, motioning to the bartender for another shot. He wasn't in the mood for carrying around a glass right now, so he'd stick to the shots for now. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Zacky moving in on Callie's friend and he couldn't help but roll his eyes. If Sara ever found out about this, Zacky would never hear the end of it. "So tell me about your band," Matt said, leaning against the bar, looking at Callie.

Zack smiled he was more of a straight shooter, but he wasn't going to diss a woman's choice of drinks. As long as the girl was opened to him, he wouldn't complain it the least. "Is this your first tour?" He questioned, having no fucking clue who this woman was, or knowing anything about the band she was in. And since all major tour like this had small up coming bands he would be surprised if it was there first. And really honestly he could careless about her band, he just wanted to talk to her.

Callie leaned against the bar calling out for a beer of her choosing, before turning to look at Matt. "Uh it a band." She chuckled, not know what to really tell him about it. Since he had been in on for a lot longer than she. "Tempered Pain." She informed him of the name. Though she knew he probably hadn't heard of them. They did have a few songs on the radio, maybe only two. But it was a start, and they were hoping they'd get better recognition once they were on tour with Avenged. So really they were better off than most but still needed a bit of a pick up.

Elizabeth nodded her head, moving the glass away from her mouth and nursing it between her hands on the bar. "Yeah, this is my first," she answered. Seconds later she realized how that could be misconstrued and added, "My first tour, I mean." She didn't know what else to say; she wasn't good at conversation, except with Callie and Zoe, and sometimes the guys. It was a consequence of pushing people away at the height of her eating disorder. She was good at saying things to make people leave but not to make them stay.

The name of Callie's band didn't really ring any bells in Matt's head, but then again he generally didn't learn the names of the opening bands until a few weeks in. But since this band had hot girls in it, he was interested. "So what's your position in the band?" Matt asked. He couldn't see her as a drummer, but other than he didn't know. He hadn't gotten a good look at her hands, so he could tell whether or not she had the calluses that came par for the course with playing guitar or bass.

Zack nearly choked on his drink, "you're shitting me." He smiled over at her, "well this call for a celebration." He shook his head, before taking a swig of his beer. "Though being as it's your first time out with us, we can wait on that." He chuckled, before ordering another beer. He knew he wasn't going to get trashed just yet. And right now he'd rather get to know the beauty in front of him, it would sweeten the deal once things went his way.

Callie nibbled on her lip wondering just what his reaction would be once he found out she sang. "Uh I'm the singer." She smirked at him, knowing that he would more than likely be shocked that she was the front man of the band. Though she didn't necessarily act like it. She hated the lime light directly on her, but it came with the looks and part.

"Uh, I could always use some more to drink," Elizabeth said, managing a small smile. Then she realized that she still had a nearly full drink in her hand and immediately felt awkward. She really needed to get better at this. When she couldn't think of anything else to say, Elizabeth took another sip of her drink to cover the silence as she thought. "So uh, are you guys excited about the tour?" she asked. "I mean, I know this is probably like you're hundredth one, but um, I don't know."

"Really?" Matt asked. It was a bit surprising, but not entirely unbelievable. He could honestly see Callie up on stage, belting out the lyrics to her band's songs. She just seemed a little shy to be a singer. "Well I'll have to introduce you to my vocal coach, he's got some pretty good tips. And then you and I can train together." Matt leaned against the counter with one arm, smirking at Callie. "I am curious to hear you sing, though."

Zacky smiled at her cuteness, the thing he like the most about her was she wasn't trying to impress her. "Damn straight." He smiled brightly at her, "just have some annoying things to take care of first, but I think the tour will be great." He smirked at her, before letting his eyes sweep over her body. "So what is it that you do for your band?" He questioned her, "you don't really scream drummer." He chuckled, licking his plump lips.

Nodding Callie stop mid drink, "you're kidding right?" She shook her head, "you know that's kinda an insult," she informed him. "I've been singing since I was a kid, so it's not just a hobby I pick up and was good at. And telling me I need a coach with out hearing me sing kinda hurts my ego." She laughed out, showing him she was just teasing him.

"I'm the bass player," Elizabeth answered. She took another sip of her drink, tucking her hair behind her ear with her free hand. She knew that the guys liked to make fun of Johnny for being a bass player, but she was sure it had something to do with the fact that he was Johnny. "I've started playing when I was thirteen, it helped me get through some shit."

Matt raised his hands in defense, laughing. "Hey, chill out," he chuckled. "It's not that kind of vocal coach. This guy just helps make sure I don't fuck up my vocal cords." He motioned to the bartender to bring him another shot. He noticed that Callie hadn't said anything about letting him hear her sing. "So about that last thing I mentioned," Matt continued. "You should let me hear you sing."

Zacky frowned at her for a moment, "bass player." He chuckled, "shit if you're any good we have an opening." He smirked at her, giving Johnny shit even though the man wasn't around. "Nah, it's something I can understand." He nodded, "playing changes your life, even if it's just for yourself." He informed her, he wanted to ask her what kind of things, but it was to personal. And beside he really didn't get to know his fucks all that well, and tonight he was hoping.

Callie laughed, thinking over a respond. "Who do I look like Elizabeth Lavenza?" She smirked at her Young Frankenstein reference. Watching confusion spread on his face she chuckled. "You know Frankenstein's bride, in Young Frankenstein." She chuckled, thinking it was rather appropriate. Seeing as Elizabeth sang while being fucked by the 'monster'. And since he'd shown his interest in her it seemed pretty damn funny to think that way about the two of them.

Elizabeth chuckled when Zacky said that they might have an opening for her. She knew they would never really replace Johnny, though. "Yeah, it was a good therapy for me," Elizabeth said, shrugging her shoulders. She took another sip of her drink. "And as cliche as it sounds, it really did change my life. After all, I probably wouldn't have met any of my bandmates if I hadn't started playing. Well, except Callie. I knew her beforehand."

"I've only seen that movie one time and it was a long ass time ago," Matt said. He chuckled. This girl really liked to beat around the bush. "You know, if you'd rather not hang out with me, I'll understand. Just tell me when to fuck off and I'll leave you alone." He hoped she wouldn't do that though, because he honestly wouldn't mind a little action, something to take his mind off of Val.

Zack raised a brow before smiling at her, then looked over at Matt and Callie. "Really?" He questioned looking back at Liz. "I really don't see you to hanging out, but I've been mistaken before." He chuckled, "so how'd you two meet?" He questioned, not thinking anything of the question.

Callie chuckled, "I loved Mel Brooks." She chuckled, before frowning. She wasn't sure how to take his words, she was just talking about fucking and singing. And now he didn't want her to be bothered by him. "I don't mind hanging out with you." She informed him, but she wasn't sure what hanging out with him would entitle.

Elizabeth stalled. She really didn't want any of the others to know about her problems, at least not yet, but she wasn't sure how to skirt around Zacky's question. "We met in school," Elizabeth finally said, deciding it sounded like a tangible enough lie. She'd have to run it by Callie, to make sure it held up. "I uh, I moved when I was about fifteen and that's when we met." Elizabeth raised her glass to her lips again, chancing a smile in Zacky's direction over the lip of the glass.

"Alright, well then you'll have to come over to the bus here soon," Matt replied. "Maybe you can bring that movie." Movies were an easy ruse to get a little action, but Matt was honestly hoping to get lucky tonight. He just needed Callie to loosen up a bit more, but alcohol would help with that. "So can I get you anything else to drink?" Matt asked.

Zacky shook his head, "I don't see that at all." He frowned, "unless you guys were like enemies that became friends later." He chuckled. "She's like one of those girls I see being the punk rocker chick that all the guys wanted." He shrugged, "and you well." He smirked at her. "You were that cute shy girl, the one guys would pick on because she was still a virgin." He chuckled, "well that's the fifteen year old versions I see." He teased her.

Callie leaned her upper body against the counter. "Oh yeah, were I can sing for you too." She smirked up at him. Matt was giving off a pretty sexual vibe. And honestly she liked it, but she knew she'd never give into him. It wasn't something she was ready for. Though she couldn't say she wasn't turned on by the idea of them. "I'm still good." She informed him, showing him the beer she'd been nursing. She was in no hurry to get drunk.

Elizabeth flushed a deep red; she could practically feel her face heat up. She was sure Zacky could see it even in the darkness of the bar. It was pretty obvious now that he wanted to sleep with her and Elizabeth wasn't sure how she felt about that. On the one hand, she definitely wasn't used to guys coming on to her so strongly. But on the other hand, Zacky was definitely good-looking and Elizabeth would be lying if she said she thought she wouldn't enjoy being with him. "Uh, no we were friends pretty much from the start," Elizabeth mumbled, looking down at her drink. "We just have a lot in common."

"Alright, well take your time," Matt chuckled. Meanwhile, he motioned for the bartender to bring him something to drink. He decided on a whiskey and coke this time, something he could sip on. Callie might not want to get drunk, but Matt certainly did. "So uh, tell me more about your band," Matt continued. He figured this would get Callie talking for awhile, that way he could think of what direction he needed to take this conversation in order to sway the night in his favor. He really would like to take Callie to his bed tonight, but he wouldn't mind settling for someone else just for tonight if things didn't work out the way he wanted. They were on tour together, he had a long time to win Callie over.

Zacky smirked at her, he could tell this was her first time being around a rock star. Somebody that had earned the title anyways. "Yeah?" He shook his head, "she must have been pretty mellow back then." He blinked at her still surprised by her words. "But I don't questioned friendship I just know looks play ninety percent of an attraction." He chuckled, his smirk only getting bigger. He knew his charm only worked on fans, or girls really big on rock stars. But he was having a hard time putting his finger on which one she was.

Callie smiled shaking her head, she was surprised by Matt. He wasn't coming across as a horn dog, but yet she knew he wanted it. Her job was just a distraction, someone to talk to until somebody better came along. It stung, but really she brought it on herself. If she felt comfortable in her own skin things would be much different, but they weren't. "Well there's Miles, he's our rhythmist, and Thomas our lead. But he's out with a surgery, fucked up his arm and can't play for another six months." She shook her head. "The rest you met tonight." She informed him, not bothering to tell him about Charles.

Elizabeth brought her glass to her lips to take another drink but found it empty. She sheepishly held up the glass to Zacky. "I need something else to drink," she said, smiling softly. She wasn't sure what she wanted - and she wanted to impress Zacky a bit - so Elizabeth opted for a shot. She ordered whiskey, since she wasn't a fan of vodka. She swallowed it as quickly as she could, setting the shot glass down on the counter and looking over at Zacky.

Matt laughed. "I already know all of your names," he informed her. "I meant like, what kind of music do you guys play? How'd you meet? Shit like that." Matt reached for his drink and took a sizable swing, noticing how the alcohol hardly burned now. "And I'm pretty sure you left someone out, unless your guitarist is a magician and can somehow play both lead and rhythm."

Zacky chuckled as she tried tipping back an empty glass. Shaking his head he waved the bartender over, no waiting. When she ordered a shot of whiskey he got one for himself. "I like a girl that can hold her liquor." He smirked down at her, before ordering another two shots and a beer. Once given he pushed one shot towards her.

Callie rolled her eyes, "well I met Liz a while back, and we decided we wanted to be in a band, and held auditions." She shrugged, there wasn't much she could tell him. She knew she wouldn't mention support group, it would only start off a whole line a questions that wasn't any of his business. "And Charles is just a stand in, so no I didn't leave anybody out. He's not a member." She chuckled, icing out Charles.

Elizabeth wasn't surprised when Zacky ordered her another shot. She felt like she had learned enough to know that he was trying to get her drunk, and she knew what his end goal was. But she still took the drink, trying not to show how much the alcohol churned in her stomach. Elizabeth wanted to impress him, because she really was enjoying the fact that he was flirting with her, when he could obviously have his pick of pretty much any girl he wanted.

Matt chuckled. "I'm gonna assume you guys don't like him all that much," he said. He reached for his beer and brought it to his lips. Callie didn't seem willing to divulge much information about herself, and there were only so many questions Matt could think to ask. "So uh, are you excited about being on tour?" he finally asked, smiling at Callie.

Zacky smiled before letting his eyes wondered the building. "Lets play some pool." He said to her, before grabbing her hand and leading her to a pool table. They were actually lucky that one had just opened up.

Callie laughed at Matt's statement. "Of course not, he's like the ultimate douchebag." She shook her head with a smile. Taking a swig from her beer she shrugged at his question. "Yeah, get away from the hum drum life." She chuckled, she was enjoying talking to Matt. "What about you? Excited?" She smirked at him.
