Eleanor thought her black catsuit was slightly ridiculous, but it was the outfit that was made specifically with her powers in mind. It was a suit that would easily adapt to her, being able to turn invisible and easily phase through objects as she did. Whichever scientist created this outfit knew what he was doing, she decided, as she continued down the corridor. It was eerily quiet and clinical, which made her slightly uneasy. This was her first mission, after all, her first attempt at being apart of this prestigious group called X-Men, and she'd be damned if they didn't see her as a vital member of the group. At the sound of footsteps, she nearly panicked before deciding to turn invisible after a second delay. She was still getting adjusted to being allowed to use her power whenever she pleased, which was most likely going to get her killed faster than it should have. She continued searching for the proper entrance to the building. She had yet to know why she was recovering the blueprints from this corporation, but she surely hoped they weren't plotting anything too bad. She'd have to discuss it further with Wolverine or even Professor Xavier himself. It was easy enough to locate the door she had to enter, careful to be invisible through her careful tread. Once she phased through it, there were blaring alarms everywhere, which made her furrow her brows. She saw the room turn deep red, lights flashing, making her freeze. "You said the heat sensors were turned off," she managed to hiss into her ear piece, feeling a bit of dread as she stuck the hacking mechanism into the computers that were there. She heard people yelling at her to get out, which sounded like nothing while she tried to make a break for it, phasing through any of the walls she could as she didn't even think about turning invisible as well.
Wes felt himself sigh as he clicked random keys on the computer game he was playing. It wasn't for any real reason, it was just that being on guard duty was ridiculously boring and had no point when absolutely nothing happened in the stupid building. He was happy to take the job, though, especially since it seemed like he was attentive and great at his job every day after a hard day of beating the latest game he bought off Stream. It wasn't very hard to beat, typically he found himself winning in a few hours, which made his job sometimes slow if he went too fast through a game. He tried to play it the normal way most of the time, which made it a more prolonged time frame. He yawned as he stretched, beating the level he had been working on for the past hour. Nothing seemed to be too interesting on the cameras, simply empty corridors - some filled with lab coated men and women - and the same with all the individual rooms. He was sure that nothing interesting would happen as he went back to his game. It was then that the red emergency lights clicked on, which made him grin as he cracked his knuckles, his character on the computer dying from his lack of interest. "Where are you?" He questioned to himself, trying to scan all the cameras. He made a small sound of joy as he went to his headset, turning it on for the first time in a while. "Subject is female, running toward the east corridor, check the perimeter for anyone or anything else. They've managed to jam my security footage for the outside," he said, turning it off before anyone else could say anything. He cursed himself for not realizing the footage was on a constant loop of the same five seconds for all the outside cameras. He pressed his hand to the computer screen, closing his eyes as he focused his attention to fixing the hacking problem that suddenly arose.

Sawyer, like Eleanor, thought the black cat suits were a little ridiculous. He especially thought so because his really didn't add anything to what he could do. Sawyer had super speed, what use did he have of a full suit of glorified Underarmour? He could run in any clothes, the catsuit was just over dramatic. But, as he stood in his catsuit with his arms across his chest and his toe tapping on the ground, that wasn't what was bothering him. What was bothering Sawyer was that he was a whole ten miles away from where the action was. When he had been asked to become part of the X-Men, he didn't think it meant to be a second line of defence on another rookie's capture the flag mission. This try out was pointless. He wasn't even in on the action. This was just proving his stand in one spot and don't move skills. He heard Eleanor comment about the heat sensors and irritably exhaled. "Good job, team," he said under his breath even though he knew everyone over the comms could hear him. When they started to shout at her to get out, Sawyer started to pace. Where they ever going to call him in to help? What was the point of him even being there if he was going to be the parking lot of a long abandoned VHS store guard? He wasn't here for it.
Tommy had been bored the whole day. She'd arrived hours earlier, and felt like she'd been there for days on end. Nothing really ever happened on the days she was there, and she hated it. She let out a sigh as she stared at the ceiling, trying to find patterns in the foam board's uneven pattern. Tommy's eyes started to droop, and before long she had fallen asleep. She woke up, God knows how long later, to the sound of an alarm and someone saying to check the perimeter in her ear. "On it," Tonmy replied, teleporting outside. No one in sight. She jumped to another entrance. Then another. And another. And the last. "All clear, I'm pursuing the subject." She teleported inside, where the girl was said to be. Tommy ended up landing right in front of the other girl, but the girl ran right through Tommy as if she wasn't there. Tommy spun to watch the other girl continue to run, right through the wall at the end of the hallway. "She can go through walls," Tommy informed over the headsets. "She's young, she's headed to the edge of the building." Tommy teleported to the end of the next hall, where she figured the girl would be running. She wasn't sure how she'd win this one. Not if this other girl could just move through her, and most likely her grasp.

[i think Ima have sawyer good at first, but he's gonna ~rebel~ and leave the x-men. also sorry about weird autocorrects if there is any, I had to use my phone. my computer wouldn't turn back on sigh ]

Eleanor couldn't help but continue to panic as she ran through everyone and anyone who tried to get in her way. She saw the one girl teleport right in front of her, but quickly went into her phasing mode as she passed right by her. She heard the other speaking, telling where she was going. She knew that she had to turn invisible, blend into her surroundings, but everything was happening so fast and it was a lot more about flight than strategy. It took her aimlessly running and trying to avoid men before suddenly she found herself in a dead end. She continued to try to phase through the door that covered the entire wall as there was more people approaching her from all angles. The discovery she came to was that is was iron, the only material she couldn't phase through. "I need assistance, someone," she said in a low voice, turning invisible even though that would do nothing but camouflage her from the people who were trying to get a firm hold of her. She didn't know what would happen if she was caught, which mortified her more than anything. Maybe she just wasn't ready for all this. She thought she was in the clear, the men and women alike travelling away, deciding that maybe she was safe. "They're going away, I don't know what that means, I am trapped in a corner," she said.
Wes rolled his eyes at Tommy's voice. "You know, I have eyes, I am in the security room," he said in a monotonous drawl. He was lucky enough to overpower the signal of the hackers, though he couldn't get into their computer correctly, but as long as they didn't have control of his technology he decided it was all fair game. It was easier then to watch the girl who was continuing to run through walls and any people that surrounded her. "She's fast, sure you can catch up to her?" He mused, though still gave Tommy directions as to where the girl was headed. He raised an eyebrow as suddenly she seemed to be trapped up on a door, unable to go through it. He quickly scanned the catalogs in the computer database to figure out that the door - which was the door to the laboratories - was created out of iron. "Got you, little bird," he said as he smirked in victory. "She can't go through iron, she's in front of the laboratories. I have heat sensors on, she's frozen. Your time to fight," he said, leaning back in his chair with a cocky air surrounding him. He always found himself happily victorious at even the smallest accomplishments he did. He did make sure that everyone else despite Tommy would ignore her, make her feel safe. It could be the slightly sadistic side of him that wanted to instill fear in people, but mostly it was just because he found it hilarious.

Sawyer didn't reply, but instead took off running towards the building he knew Eleanor was in. He could hear someone in his ear telling him to go help Eleanor, and he barked a 'Yeah, no shit' back at them as he ran. "Okay, I'm gonna need a way in, people," Sawyer said, stopping in front of a door and giving the handle a tug. It didn't open. Someone told him to run eat and go into the next door, which he did in the blink of an eye. More alarms started go off everywhere. This really wasn't going well. "Guys, where is she?" Sawyer nearly yelled, taking off into the building. He wasn't getting clear instructions. A lot of jabber about being blocked out of the system. He reached his hand up to his ear and took out his comm, not wanting the chatter in his head as he ran through the building, floor after floor, trying to find Eleanor.
"Bite me, Wes," Tommy muttered. She grinned, however, when Wes told her the girl was trapped. "I'll try not to play with my food too much," she said smoothly, teleporting only five feet away from the girl. "You picked the wrong place to break into, Kitty Cat," Tommy said, staring at the girl. Only a second or two had passed before she stepped forward and swing her arm, attempting to hit the girl in the face. If this girl didn't run away like a little baby, she had no chance to beat Tommy. Tommy had been trained in various fighting techniques to help make her more of an offensive weapon. Her teleportation was deemed 'too defensive', and she was ordered to make herself offensive instead. 'We don't need defence. We need weapons.' And Tommy was one of those weapons.

Eleanor felt panic swell in her chest as she realized that the teleporting girl was there in front of where she was. She carefully slipped by, wishing that someone would come and safe her before she was injured. She knew how to fight, but she almost refused to do it since she always believed that talking someone down was the best way. It was sad, really, that she didn't have mental powers like Professor X did, since she could simply call the girl down and wait for someone to save her. The punch that the girl tried to pull made the hair surrounding her face, making her jump back. She bit her lip, almost refusing to fight, even though there was plenty of yelling through her ear piece to tell her to get out however she can. She had heard Sawyer saying that he was on his way, which brought some joy to her heart because that meant rescue and being able to get out of there safely.
Wes only found himself smirking as he watched Tommy start to approach her. "To the left," he said, voice indifferent as he watched the fight commence. He didn't realize it, but suddenly there was a silhouette of a human running through the halls. "About to have company, T, runner. Can't identify the gender or face, scanners can't pick it up," he said. He was slightly proud of his security system, though it did have flaws that he knew he would have to update. He needed to be prepared to identify quickly any mutant that tried to break into the facility, regardless of their power or intent. He swivled around in his chair, wondering vaguely if they were the other two in the facility that actually had powers. It did turn out that there were far more humans around than mutants, but he still thought that at least someone would try to help out if they could. "Need me to send out the droids?" he asked, hand hovering over the button. He didn't want to make it seem like he was thinking she wasn't strong enough to do it on her own.

It didn't take Sawyer long to find the hallway where Tommy and Eleanor were. He couldn't see Eleanor, but judging by the way the other girl wa swinging around, Eleanor was there. "El- Er, Perdu?" Sawyer called over the alarms, not really caring if this other girl heard him. He could out run her, he could out run everyone. He was trying to quickly form an escape plan as he waited for Eleanor's reply. By now the door he had ran through would probably be locked, and he'd have this girl, if not more people, to get around. Sawyer wasn't super strong, either. He'd get a lot more tired a lot faster with someone on his back. Prospects weren't looking that great.
"Where are you, little girl?" Tommy asked out loud when her punch didn't land. She tried again, a little to the left like Wes said. When it didn't land again, she grunted in frustration, but ignored Wes' call for the drones. "Why don't you stop being a little bitch and fight me like-" Tommy stopped short and spun around. Someone else was in the hall. He was taller than Tommy, and much more muscular. He'd be harder to fight than the invisible girl standing behind her now. "Incoming company has come in," Tommy said into her mic, her head swivelling back and fourth between the girl who she wasn't even sure was there, and the guy in front of her. "Might need those drones, Wes."

Wes let out an amused grinned as he cracked his knuckles. "I thought you'd never ask, my love," he teased, moving out of his game that he was playing and instead moving to pressed the android button he had, which was where he put his entire hand so that he could actually control the androids with all of his power. He closed his eyes, almost as if he was looking through the sensors of the robots that started to make their way quickly to where the three other were. "Shall we kill them, T?" He asked, preparing himself for attack as he used the robot's sensors to heat seek the invisible girl's body. He let out a small laugh as he made the robot grab both of his arms. "I think the cat's finally got the mouse," he boasted, his voice manipulated through the robot to sound slightly mechanical and monotone.
Eleanor was glad to finally see Sawyer, but knew that it wasn't time to get excited over seeing someone. This was about remaining hidden and trying to get to the other even with the other girl's random punches and kicks that were far too close to her to be allowed to move anywhere. She was slightly mortified of the robot that seemed to come barreling down the hallway and wondered closer and closer to her. It didn't make sense on how something could see her, she thought she was completely invisible. She tried to bolt over toward Sawyer, but ended up simply being trapped by the robot's arms. She squirmed, trying to fight it off as she still remained invisible even through that. It wasn't like she had anything else she could do - especially since it seemed that the metal was iron itself.

"No, I think killing them is a little over dramatic, don't you?" Eleanor replied, looking at the robot who was seemingly gripping nothing. She knew it had something, since the robot was rattling slightly as if being shook. She must have been trying to fight back. "We don't even know who they're here for, or what they wanted from us. If we squeeze, I'm sure little miss invisibility will talk." Tommy smirked, turning around to look at the boy who was behind her. He didn't look happy at all. She didn't blame him. She wouldn't be happy if she'd been grabbed by some robots, and was looking at her little team mate, or the void where they were, being grabbed by a robot too.

It didn't take long after Sawyer was grabbed by the robots for him to get angry. When the girl said something about squeezing information out of Eleanor, Sawyer decided he had to take action. How would the X-Men trust him if he couldn't get himself and Eleanor out of a mess? "Don't you touch her," Sawyer snarled, glaring at the girl.

Tommy took a step closer to Sawyer, a smirk on her face. "Or what, big boy? Gonna really glare at me?"

Sawyer had had enough. He decided his only way out was using his God given talents, because he knew he wasn't going to break the machine with his biceps. He started to try to move as fast as he could, but standing still. He eventually started to vibrate, and it worked. The machines grip loosened enough for him to bolt out, and punch the girl in front of him as hard as he could in the head. Tommy didn't see it coming, and dropped to the floor when Sawyer's hand made contact. Sawyer darted to Eleanor, and grabbed her robot, trying to do the same to it without hurting her. "Move when you can."

[figured putting them together was easier for this one lmfao]

Wes watched the scene play out as he tried to make the grip that the droids had on the two mutants in the room. It was slightly spectacular their powers, however cliched they were. It probably was horrible that his thought was the want to take their DNA and see what made them have these abilities. He had already done it to most of the mutants in the cooperation, glad to have something that wasn't entirely boring and idiotic. His job was mostly to find out what made powers tick and how to make synthetic forms of them as well as figuring out the best way to defend oneself against them.

"He's loosening from the grip of my droids. He might," he started, watching the other man vibrate right out of the machine's grip. He was shocked when the man ended up punching Tommy in the face, almost letting out a yell as he felt the need to go and fight for her. He couldn't believe the idea that someone hurt her, but knew that his own power was stronger being controlled behind the screen than in close combat.

"Are you okay?" he asked, trying to mask his frantic tone as he tried hard to at least tighten his hold on the girl. Maybe if he could take the girl, it would be easier.

Eleanor was still trying to wiggle from of the droid's grasp. She was shocked by the way that Sawyer managed to punch her to the floor, though didn't let her detour her from her need to escape. She managed to get out over the few minutes later. She easily broke free as she turned visible once again. She took her teammate's hand, easily running into the opposite direction without saying a word, fazing through the walls with the other right behind him. "If you want to run you can carry me, I'll get us fazed through everything," she said, looking behind her to the man.

    [ it's okay! i like this idea XD ]

Tommy hit the floor with a thud. She could hear the two people talking above her, and she could hear Wes, but she couldn't tell what they were saying. She was seeing stars, and by the time she was able to shakily stand up again, the pair were gone.

Sawyer didn't hesitate once Eleanor grabbed his hand to run behind her. For her it was running as fast as she could, but for him this was speed waking. He nodded when she said to pick her up, but stopped. "Get on my back," Sawyer instructed, crouching down. "I won't be able to carry you very far." He was strong enough, but he didn't want to risk dropping her. Once Eleanor was on his back, Sawyer took off full speed. They were up a couple of floors, so he ran right to a stair well. It didn't take him long to be barreling head first at what he was pretty sure was an outside wall. He squeezed his eyes shut as they approached it, and half expected them to crash. They went right through it, thankfully. Sawyer didn't stop running, though. He was going straight back to base, regardless of what Eleanor wanted in the situation. They needed to get far away before those damn droids caught up to them.

Once Tommy was standing, she immediately put a hand against her face where his fist had made contact. She was going to have a gnarly bruise. She frowned, closing her eyes, and teleporting into the room Wes was in. "I'm assuming they got away?" she asked quietly, her hand still on her face as she looked at Wes. She felt like an idiot, really. This guy got the drop on her way too easily.

Eleanor didn't know what else to do other than to try her hardest to hold onto Sawyer once he started running. It was terrifying to suddenly be able to run faster than a bullet, but she had to focus on phasing through the walls instead of her fear in what was happening to them. She burrowed her face into his neck as she gripped him tighter. "Please don't let go," she squeaked as she saw them run out of the building through the walls. She was just glad that there wasn't any iron that she couldn't go through, knowing that they would have a bigger issue with all of it if they were to crash into the wall without a way out. She was only thankful to be back on her feet again as Sawyer slowed down. It was only slightly embarrassing when she realised that she had probably been holding on too tight. "Sorry if I, you know, practically strangled you," she said as she laughed softly, trying to find humour in the situation they were in even if it wasn't as funny as it could have been.
Wes didn't know what he was meant to do as they ran away far too fast for his droids to case after them. He thought vaguely about how he wanted a blood sample of the runner, wanting to be able to investigate what makes the man tick. Instead, he sighed, watching sadly as Tommy laid on the floor. He decided it was time to check on her, about to get up before he saw that she appeared into his room. "Well, T, he did punch you out and ran," he said, his face going back into his blank look as he knew that he couldn't show much emotion. He wasn't known for caring, he didn't want to be one to show weakness, even to someone he considered close to him. He clicked his tongue as he stood up, getting a better look at her face. "Lucky for you, though, he didn't get you too bad, nothing looks broken. I should probably get you some ice," he said, wrapping an arm around her shoulder as he sighed, "let's go to the break room to get you some ice. I doubt anyone will break in while I am gone for five minutes."

"You should be more sorry you got caught," Sawyer said stifly, putting Eleanor back onto the ground. Now that they were both out of harms way, and at the front gates of the Institute, he wasn't so much worried about her as angry. "Did you even get what we went in for?" He turned to look at her, pulling the face mask part of his suit off, holding it in his hand. He walked over to the gate and pushed a button. It asked for his name and the names of who he was with. He replied, and the gates opened. He glanced back at Eleanor and headed up to the building without waiting for her answer. They both could have been in some seriously hot water if Sawyer hadn't of figured out how to get away from those droids. Sawyer shook off someone who came to see if he was okay, and started to head towards his room. He was stopped rather unceremoniously by Wolverine, who pointed him in the direction of Professor X's office, bub. With a tight jaw, Sawyer turned and headed that way, his eyes on the floor as he moved.
Tommy shrugged off his arm, putting both hands into her pockets and walking out of the control room in front of him. She had a frown on her face the whole way there, and didn't talk. She could feel her heart beat in her eye, and she wasn't a fan of it. Her head was starting to hurt. "If I ever see that guy again, I'm gonna drop kick his ass into the next city," Tommy threatened, walking into the break room. She headed towards the fridge and grabbed an ice pack from the freezer. She shrugged off her sweater and wrapped the ice pack in it before pressing it to her face. Tommy spun and leaned against the counter behind her, staring at the floor. She didn't want to make eye contact with Wes. He probably thought she couldn't do her job, or was at least having doubts about it.

Eleanor stared at Sawyer, feeling slightly inferior and idiotic for actually falling into a trap. "I'm sorry," she said, already probably sounding defeated in her own right. "I did, thanks," she hissed, her pity party suddenly turning into anger as she decided it was better for her to react that way than to show she was hurt by Sawyer's genuine anger. She continued onward, crossing her arms across her chest, seeing Wolverine pointing to Professor X's office. She was far more interested in talking to the man than to even caring about what Sawyer was going to be doing in the Professor's room. She started asking questions, curious as to why the mission was important and why she risked her life for it. He explained, looking at her with patient even though he was normally cold. He also added that, while she could have done better, it was pretty okay for her first mission. The entire mission was to see why these people wanted mutants, why they needed to know and experiment on mutant kind. The Professor was worried that they were creating mutant weapons to fight against each other until death. The idea of people actually wanting each other to fight until the death sent unease into her, but she still nodded, deciding it was best to simply listen to was Wolverine told her.
Wes shook his head. "Nah, I think it'd be easier just to shoot him, right between the eyes," he said, his hand going to model a gun as he pretended to shoot the wall opposite of them. He wasn't very interested in violence, not as easily worked up and angry at being defeated as Tommy was. He just enjoyed being indifferent, always found it easier to be that way. He was always one for the easy route, ever seen he was a young kid. "You should know that the best revenge is death," he said, sitting on the table top as he thought vaguely how far away the fridge was to him. He knew that she was horribly hard on herself, could see it in the way that the girl insisted on looking down at the floor instead of at him. He groaned slightly inwardly, rolling his eyes as he laid down on the table. "You know, you did all you could. We didn't know who we were dealing with. This wasn't another training lesson, we didn't know the enemy. Now we do, all I need to do is program the droids to have their own super speed qualities. Bam. He'd never know what to do. But, wanna know a fact?" he asked, sitting up as he met his eyes with the girl, grinning. "I can trace the signal from the hackers. I could find out who they are, where they come from. What company they belong to."
