Jake smiled as she gushed at the necklace, he was proud that he'd managed to get her something that came close to what she'd wanted. Though he wouldn't stop looking for a ring like she wanted. He was happy to oblige her and put it on her neck, placing a kiss to her shoulder before she turned and her lips attached to his. "I love you." He told her softly, but firm. He took a moment to just take her in, his eyes sweeping across her face as couldn't pick a place to focus on. She was the most stunning woman to him. He didn't know how he'd gotten so lucky, her as his mate. Smiling he wrapped his arms around her neck before pulling her head to his chest. Resting his cheek on the top of her head. A soft sigh leaving his lips as he relaxed and just enjoyed the moment of love they were sharing. He let out a soft chuckle as her stomach gave a growl. "You've not been eating enough." He scolded her playfully pulling back to peer down at her. "You can't skip out of meals or eat small portions anymore." He told her before grabbing her hand and pulling her back towards camp. Slinging his arm over her neck and pulling her into his side. "You're never going to be able to keep up with me if you don't take better care of your body." He teased her placing a kiss to her neck. Freezing he lifted his eyes, they blew wide as he noticed a rather large wolf standing in the middle of camp. He felt his heart in his throat as he quickly dropped his hold on Avery and moved to stand in front of her. "Don't move." He told her, his tone rather harsh but he knew she'd understand this wasn't any wolf he knew and she was to listen to him so he could protect her.
Laney buried her face in his fur as she did her best to calm down. She didn't dare to use her words knowing she'd break down. So all she could do was play back the dream for him, she knew it was only tearing into her heart again. But he'd always begged her to talk more with him. She finally let him in fully giving him the last bit of her misery, her mother's death. It wasn't something she wanted to ever have to dream about again. And she didn't know why it was all of a sudden coming to her mind. But she couldn't think anymore her mind going numb. She didn't know how long she sat there, him comforting her but she pulled back drying her eyes. "I'm going to go wash up." She told him, before pulling away from him. "Thank you." She told him before leaning down and pressing a kiss to his snout. She was glad he hadn't pried or tried to comfort her to much, he'd just been there letting her cry. It was what she'd needed. Grabbing her bathing bag she froze, something bitter filter in through the air. You feel that? She questioned him, knowing she wasn't in tune with the pack but she could sure tell something wasn't right. Stay here I'll be right back. She dropped the bag before heading down the stairs taking two at a time. Before she burst out the door. Coming to a halt as a wolf stood before her, it had it's eyes locked on Jake and Avery, it's teeth bared as a warning growl left it's lips.
