It shouldn't of come as a surprise when the white stick came back as negative. It shouldn't of felt like his heart was broken all over again as Jack had stood unusually somber in the middle of their spacious bathroom. But what should be and what was were two different things and it didn't stop him from leaning forward and wordlessly throwing the test into the trash. This time he had though Mariska had been pregnant. And god that was that all Jack wanted, to hear the little pitter patter of feet they had created running through their house and filling it up with shrieks and laughter. The kicker was; Jack and Mari would be great fucking parents. He had waited until he found the right girl, settled down with her and now they were ready.

And as he left the bathroom, his heart breaking in his throat, the dark-eyed man felt as if his dreams had been deflated again. How many times was this? For the past year since they'd been trying to conceive, and yeah at first it was fun- the sex was amazing, but after awhile with no results Jack began to wonder if something was wrong with him. The last time he was at the doctors, Jack had insisted they do a sperm count; and everything had come back normal. And he just didn't understand. Which led him to Mariska. He was pretty sure she could get pregnant, she hadn't told him otherwise and his striking blonde was always just as disappointed as he was when these tests came back negative. Speaking of Mariska, Jack had left that bathroom without asking if she was ok; and not wanting her to misread that he hurriedly backtracked to find her staring into the mirror vacantly.

Jack wouldn't lie the relationship certainly felt strained after the inability to make a baby, but it was more frustration with the situation than each other. This was still the woman that Jack loved, and wanted to spend the rest of his life with. So with quiet steps he reached her snaking his arms around her waist and planting a gentle kiss to her temple. Mari barely reacted and Jack could just sense her bitter disappointment. "Mari, Sweetie, it's ok." Jack crooned quietly into his lover's ear hoping to get her to smile. He detested seeing her upset, and as Alex would say, he was completely whipped; not that he minded. "Hey, we can keep trying. I know I suggested it before but we can visit a fertility treatment place. I knew a kid when I was going to highschool who's parent's couldn't conceive. They took an egg of her's and his father's sperm and whaddya know he's a triplet. Can you imagine three little babies running around?"

Any of Jack's own disappointment was shoved down as he recanted the story, his dark eyes lighting up with a hope he didn't entirely feel. "C'mon, let's go downstairs. We can watch Park's and Rec and I can make you something to eat. Or we can order out." He tried his best to cheer Mari up, and maybe a fertility clinic wouldn't be so bad. They could probably recheck the two of them for fertility issues and if there was none there would be plenty of options. And while he knew Mariska wanted to have their own child, adoption was always on the table for both of them.

There was nothing easy about Charlotte's job. Long hours that left her physically and mentally drained. Bitchy customers who didn't tip well, asshole men who thought it funny to grab her ass as she brought them food, and moreover the most overbearing, micromanaging boss one could imagine. 'Lottie was under no illusions. This was a dead end job that would give her back, joint, and hip problems- but it was how she made a living. Her brother, Viktor, wasn't much help for anything. While their mother lay sick in the hospital and bills mounted higher than the petite woman's head; he got out and got high. Good for nothing lowlife he was. Today was no different as Lottie clocked into the tiny restaurant already packed with people the din giving the small dark haired woman quite the headache. It was payday which meant 'Lottie could pay the bills on time for the shitty one bedroom apartment she owned.

Today she'd been at work for going on ten hours, having picked up a shift before this one, her dark feline-like gaze keeping an eye on the clock as she brought people's food and than cleared it. Since this restaurant had a bar people were oblivious- most in a tipsy stupor. She'd been catching her breath from the kitchen when a hostess bustled in, and barked "Got a guy your section. Needs his orders taken." Nodding, bristling at the sharp tone the forced on a friendly face as she made her way to table five . Charlotte had managed to duck and weave her way between customer and employee alike, pale hands with the slate-blue nails already searching for her notepad in the tiny apron that was part of her outfit. Which 'Lottie absolutely hated. The shirt was tight, low cut for the women, while the black spandex shorts left little to imagination. Joel said it would help them get better tips, but still. 'Lottie hated it.

"Welcome to Torey Row's can I start you off with something to drink?" Charlotte asked, her face partially hidden behind her chocolate colored curls. For a moment she heard nothing, and glancing up as if trying to prompt and answer she paused trying not to raise an eyebrow. It was clear this man was from high-brow society. Strange that he ended up in a place like this, stranger even that he was alone, though that was food for thought at some other point. Her dark emerald gaze took in a well defined jaw, with a bit of stubble, a caramel in color which matched his hair- save for the pink that she noted swirled into the brown. Something about him screamed artsy, and 'Lottie just hoped he tipped well. She had been lost in thought and didn't realize he had spoken, until the man cleared his throat- sounding like honey and smoke all at once.

"Uh- Right. I'll be right back with that. Oh, my name is Lottie, I'll be your server tonight." The slender waitress added on, in a rather disgruntled tone. The stranger's lips quirked up into a smile as if he were amused though she didn't linger. It was almost closing time and she wanted to go home. It wasn't long until she returned with his drink and took his order; trying not to gaggle at the fact that this man, who looked like he could choose a much better dive to eat, was here. Since it was approaching closing time, his food was out relatively quickly. It was in her hurry that Lottie, as fast as she dared headed back to the stranger's table. She had nearly reached it when she felt an ungodly force slam into her left side; sending her, the dish, and the food crashing to the floor. A squeak of terror left her throat as she wildly threw her hands out, catching herself on the wooden floor with a yelp.

The culprit, a man a bit too drunk for his own good and had been on his way to the bathroom looked pissed; and Charlotte braced herself for the tantrum that was surely about to happen. About her hte air swollen with the poigent stench of stale food and beer made her stomach turn as she tried to wipe what she could of the caramel-eyed stranger's food off her arms before the drunken man began yelling. "What the fuck?! Are you blind?!" He all but roared, drunken spittle collecting on the sides of his mouth like a drunken dog. Getting to her feet, wincing as her knee cracked Charlotte cast a mortified expression backwards to the man who's dinner was now all over the floor, before turning back to the angry drunken customers. It was as if everything had stopped and 'Lottie squirmed under the stares.

"Sir I was carrying a tray of food I didn't see-" She tried to explain before the drunken man cut her off, jabbing the air with his thumb. "I want to talk to your manager right now!" Shit. Joel was already anal about this kind of stuff and not only would the plates and the food be coming out from her already measly paycheck; she may get fired over this. He hated waitresses who couldn't handle food properly and paling she felt her stomach fill with ice. "I don't think that's necessary" Lottie tried to convince, hoping that by some miracle Joel wasn't already on his way out here. Forgetting about her customer, Lottie whirled around, casting her eyes downwards. "I'm terribly sorry about your food, as soon as this has been sorted I will get you a new plate on the house." God she was fucked as the drunken man who in her eyes had been at fault in pushing her and the food to the floor, once again began demanding her manager.

Mariska felt a few strings in her heart break when she saw the negative on the test. She bit her bottom lip lightly as Jack threw away the test. Mariska didn't understand why this kept happening to her. She wasn't asking for much, just to have a family of her own. She hated that she couldn't give Jack what he wanted, and she wondered if he was getting annoyed with her. Mariska stared into the mirror as he walked out, wiping a tear away when she heard him coming back.

She relaxed when she felt his arms snake around her, frowning as he started talking about the clinic. "Would you just stop it Jack!" She snapped as she pulled away. She shook her head, "We just aren't suppose to have this is all." She muttered as she walked away from him as she wiped her eyes. Mariska usually didn't get mad, but everything was starting to add up and put pressure on her. Mariska walked downstairs, sitting on the couch.

Mariska flipped through the channels on the tv, looking over when she saw Jack come downstairs. "Can we please just order food tonight?" She asked as she laid on the couch, pulling the small blanket over herself. She closed her eyes, trying to keep the tears from falling. Nothing was going right and she felt like it was starting to have an effect on their relationship.
Alex sighed as he walked into the small diner at the end of the street. He had been making his way back from a meeting with a few business partners. Alex sat there looking over the menu then looked at the waitress that walked towards him. "Just a water please." He ordered. Alex smiled as she walked away then looked back at the menu. He ordered a cheeseburger and fries. Alex looked out the window, relaxing as he waited for his food.

Alex looked over when he heard a crash, frowning when he saw the girl on the floor. He moved to get up, but she stood quickly. He frowned as the man yelled at her. It made him mad to even see her treated like that. Alex shook his head when she mentioned that his food would be on the house. "No need to do that." He said. He watched as she walked off then when she brought his food back out he looked at her. "Are you okay?" He asked. She had hit the floor kind of hard.

Alex looked at his food then began to eat. When he finished he paid his bill and left her a tip for fifty bucks. Though it was more than his dinner cost, he was sure that she needed it. Alex looked at her as he went to walk out, "Thank you for everything." He said. He smiled at her, "I'm Alex by the way." He said as he let his eyes meet hers.

Flinching as Mariska raised her voice, Jack just gave a wordless nod. Perhaps it had been too soon to bring it up; or maybe she was just done trying. And Jack would have to try to understand that and respect her wishes. For the longest time he had always pictured himself as a father, but if it was not meant to be... Thant here was nothing Jack could do to fix that. As if reading his mind Mariska spat that maybe they just weren't meant to have everything they wanted. As she left the bathroom, Jack just closed his eyes making himself remain calm. He had success in every other aspect of his life, the band, his clothing line- and maybe that was the kicker. Jack could take care of a kid, sometimes he and Mari watched his sister's kid and he'd never seen Mariska light up the way she did with his niece.

Collecting his thoughts, putting on a facade of calm that never quite reached his heart; Jack jogged downstairs to find Mari already flipping through channels. He had hardly entered the room before her gaze landed on him; plaintive and inquisitive. "Can we order out?" She didn't sound quite as hostile as she had in the bathroom, leading Jack to give a stiff nod. 'Course, I'll go call it in and pick it up when it's ready." with that he let himself into the kitchen, where his phone lay untouched on the counter. As he dialed the number, listing off what they wanted to eat- Jack knew his Mari well enough to know what she'd of wanted for a pick-me-up, he couldn't shake the thought that this wasn't right from his head.

He was a good man, and Jack took pride in that. He took care of Mari, and she him. He was strong, physically healthy and in good shape. His sperm count was fine- there should be no problem conceiving. And he didn't want to think that Mariska had a point. It was out of the question. They were meant to be parents. Jack could feel it in his bones. Perhaps the stress of trying to have a baby was interfering with the conception, and leaning on the counter staring down at his phone Jack considered a vacation. The band was doing well enough; there was nothing planned for a couple months and maybe he could take Mariska somewhere nice. Hawaii maybe, to a nice resort to just have fun. To help them relax and re-gather their heads about this whole baby thing.

Time had chased away from him and glancing at the oven's clock swore, jogging back into the living room. "Alright baby, I got Italian from that place down the street. Fettuccine Alfredo. I'll be back in like ten okay?" She would probably appreciate the alone time, and leaning down Jack planted a tender kiss on her pale rubied lips. "Love you forever." He promised, his voice soft, mellow, and devoid of it's usual hyperactivity. With that he was gone, out the door and in his car to pick up their order. And dually while the few minutes alone to clear Mari's head would do her some good; it would do Jack some good as well.

Much to Lottie's displeasure the racket with the drunken man had drawn Joel, who had quickly defused the situation with a promise for a free dinner on them and Lottie was pissed as it wasn't even the drunkards dinner who'd been spoiled and an apology to the stranger who's food she'd dropped. And while Joel may of seemed serene and in charge; Lottie could tell he was pissed. She winced as he fixed her with an expression that was readable to her only and asked to see her in his office. Charlotte nearly swore aloud. First order of business was to get the man another plate, as her close friend Jenine had already began sweeping and cleaning up. Muttering a thank you to her mocha skinned friend, Lottie made a point to glance around before jogging to the kitchen.

Pete the cook must of heard the story, as a fresh plate of food was already waiting. "Drunks are assholes dear. Don't let that jerkwad dull your sparkle Ms. Lottie Yardin." Smiling as his words she nodded. Of all the cooks Pete was her favorite, he was flamboyantly gay and had taken it upon himself to be the kitchen councilor giving out advice as he saw fit. The dark-haired beauty was almost grinning by the time she got back to the man's table, steam rising from his new food. "And here you are, sorry about the mishap." Putting on her brightest voice, though her elbow which had been banged against the floor hurt like hell, Lottie hoped this guy wouldn't also complain to the manager. He seemed... Sweet. Caught off guard as she was asked if she was alright, Lottie felt her stomach knot with butterflies.

Usually people either cared about how quickly she could serve, or how good she looked walking away. "I'm ok. Nothing a little ice won't fix. I'm a lot more resilient than I look."' She assured, and as if to make light of the situation put her arm up in the iconic Rosy the Riveter pose. While he was eating her food Lottie had to go see Joel. Something she wasn't looking forward to. To her surprise Joel had been kind, offering to grab her some ice of of the freezer and that she wouldn't have to worry about this coming out of her paycheck. Of course he then finished that up with asking her not to involve any law into her workplace accident. Waving it off, giving her boss the same answer she'd given the stranger Charlotte glanced down at her watch, swearing when she noted it was nearly closing time. Joel chuckled, shooing her to go finish up her customer. She had great timing, the man had been finishing his last bite when she arrived.

"Hope everything was alright this time around, may I take your plate?" Upon getting his permission the ivory-skinned girl delicately leaned forward, picking up his plate though pausing as he thanked her. "My pleasure." Now she had heard what this man had said about not putting his order on the house, though she ignored it. Her mama had always raised her to never take nobody's charity and it was partially Lottie's mistake. A rock and roll ballad played quietly in the background as the last of customers were finishing up and leaving. Her steps were quiet and fast as she headed back to the man's table, her dark eyes holding a relieved air to finally be done. God Lottie wanted to change her clothes and shower. She smelled like grease and fries. She'd been about to tell the guy not to pay once reaching his table, though he spoke first. "I'm Alex, by the way." Pausing, as if unsure what to do with this information, Lottie offered a small, sweet smile- speaking to her more reserved and timid nature. "Lottie- Well I guess you know that."

As he stood to leave, after rather adamantly insisting on paying, Lottie had been counting the money when she realized how much he had tipped her. Fuck. That was way too much and glancing around wildly swore under her breath as she couldn't find him the now near dead restaurant. Of course she could use the money but it just didn't feel right taking this much. All she'd done was slipped on her ass and made a damned fool of herself. Racing out of the wide double doors and into the inky blackness of the night, she glanced around her eyes falling on nothing but air and cars. The fifty dollar was wadded tightly in her hands, still held aloft as if trying to wave him down with it. "Dammit Alex." The girl sighed, shivering out in the chilly air in her rather exposing outfit. Perhaps some other time Lottie could return it to him. With that she stuffed the cash into her pocket before hading back inside for clean up.

Mariska watched as he walked out of the room. She ran her fingers through her hair and looked at the tv. She didnt understand why this was happening to her. She had always taken good care of herself and everyone around her. She felt like she was being punished. Mariska watched as Jack came in the room. She kissed him back, "I love you too." she said. She watched as he left then sat up, pulling her knees to her chest. Mariska began to sob, resting her head on her legs. She looked over when she saw her phone light up. It was her sister. She hated talking to her sister because she bragged about everything. Mariska cried again and shook her head.

Mariska looked up when she heard Jack's car pull up. She wiped her eyes and tried to not look like she was crying. Though it was impossible with how red and puffy her eyes looked. She sighed when the door opened, walking to the dining room. She sat at the island as Jack set the food on it. "Thank you baby." She said as she opened the bag.

She knew that no matter what she had Jack. Though she feared he would get annoyed that she couldn't have children and leave her. She didn't like to really think about that. Mariska bit her bottom lip lightly as she opened her food. She looked at Jack, "I'm sorry." She whispered. She knew she shouldn't apologize, but she felt like this was her fault.
Alex smiled when the girl said her name again, "Well I look forward to seeing you again Lottie." He replied. He walked out of the restaurant then headed to his house. The food had actually been really good there and he was going to go back. Plus, he really wanted to see Lottie again. She was really beautiful.

Alex walked into his penthouse apartment and threw his keys on the table. He shook his head when he thought about how quiet it was. Alex hated living alone, but it was hard to keep a strong relationship with his life. Plus his mother was a little over-bearing so it was worse.

Alex stripped out of his clothes, getting ready for bed. He laid down, staring up at the ceiling. He closed his eyes, knowing he had to be up early tomorrow. Perhaps he would stop at the diner for breakfast.

The next morning Alex walked into the restaurant and sat down in the booth. He looked over the menu, amazed by how much breakfast they had. He looked at his watch to check how much time he had.

He hadn't been long, as Jack had promised. Just over fifteen minutes. He hadn't felt incredibly hungry, though ordered a simple spaghetti and meatball for later. He didn't listen to the radio as he normally did, instead Jack just quietly and numbly made his way back home. He knew he'd have to comfort Mariska, and just hoped he would be able to without letting fully onto his disappointment. Pulling into the drive Jack turned the engine off, remaining in his seat for a few moments, taking a deep breath and prepping himself before going back into the home. Mari wasn't far from where she was when Jack left; though when she saw him come the petite blonde headed to the dining room to eat with him. It was with a stab of guilt that Jack noted the puffy redness of his wife's eyes. Shit, Jack didn't want her to be crying. Trying for a baby was supposed to be a happy occasion. But it didn't help he and his peers were always in the media, and in a couple interviews recently he'd been asked if he and Mari planned on having kids.

Jack would comfort Mari when she was a little calmer. Glancing up as she thanked him, Jack beamed; shrugging it off. "Anything for you Mariska. Really." He promised before dipping into the bag to take out his spaghetti and meatballs; opening the top and watching the steam unfold to the ceiling. He'd wait until it was cooler to begin eating. For a while the two sat in silence, Jack squirming uncomfortably. It was obvious to him just how much Mari was hurting and he felt like a fucking failure that he couldn't make her better. That Jack couldn't give her what she wanted in order to feel better. Minutes ticked by and finally the spaghetti was cool enough to eat, Jack took a small bite. His appetite was still next to non-existent. Slumping against the back of the chair, the wood there pressing into his skin a little uncomfortably he was surprised to hear Mari speak up; a sorry on her lips.

Maybe now would be a good time to comfort her. "Mari, look at me." Jack said softly, his voice low and gentle. "None of this is your fault. And Mari I don't care if we can't ever have kids. I have you, the greatest woman I have ever met." His eyes were wide and honest as he spoke, his fork sticking out of his mounded spaghetti that lay largely untouched. "When I met you, you know what I thought? Holy shit, there's my future wife. Not, I'm gonna marry this woman for baby-making capabilities. I married you for you, and not your uterus. Mariska you make me happier than any man; don't you ever feel bad that we're having trouble conceiving. At the end of the day baby, I'll always be here for you." Jack descanted, hoping to ease some of her pain.

Maybe that was the most important thing. That Mari know that he wasn't going anywhere and she didn't need to worry. Kids, at the end of the day, was something Jack could live without. He didn't think he'd be able to live without his Mariska. If he had to choose between having kids and his wife; than Jack would pick her anytime. "C'mon eat up. We can go do something after this if you want." It had been awhile since they went out on an actual date; and staying in the house all the time probably wasn't good for either of them. "Can go to the zoo. Or... Well anything." Once he was finished speaking, Jack closed his spaghetti container, getting up to put in teh fridge before walking over to Mari planting a kiss on the top of her head. "Finish up, I'm gonna take a shower."

Her paycheck hadn't been what she expected; which is why Lottie was determined to put more hours in this week. Joel hadn't a problem with it; and when he wasn't being a micro-manager he was a nice boss. Pretty much all her co-workers knew her mom was in the hospital with leukemia and she could use some extra money. So having got home last night and dragging herself to the shower to hurriedly scrub the stench of the restaurant from her skin, Charlotte hadn't even made it to her bed. The slender brunette had woken on her ancient worn and ratty looking couch, her back stiff. With a groan she pushed her hair back from her eyes and glanced at the wall clock with a sense of relief. She still had time to shower and Pete would cook her something when she arrived to Torey Row's. So, grabbing her clean spare work uniform, she bustled back into the bathroom for a record quick shower before dressing, dragging a brush through her hair and when that was done straightened the loose waves there.

Then it was out the door, being sure to lock it as she was likely to get robbed elsewise, and heading out the lobby of her apartment. Torey Row's wasn't that far away, about a ten minute walk. But since Lottie had a thing about changing there, and always walked to work in her outfit; in the middle of fall like this the weather could be brutal to walk in. There was about fifteen minutes until opening when Lottie got there, just after Joel who'd unlocked the place for her. The two shared a snip of small talk; apparently Joel's daughter had decided she didn't like the dream college she was attending and he and his wife were at odds over what to do about it. Joel wanted to keep her there for the remainder of the year while his wife argued to let her drop now, work at Torey Row's until the next fall where she could pick a different school.

Lottie didn't have much to say worth telling. So she just nodded politely until Joel glanced at the clock, and the employee's streaming in. With that she was bade to go and wash up the tables in her section. This was probably the easiest part of her day. Before customers walked in and making the place look spic and span. She lingered a bit at the table the man had sat at last night, Lottie recalled his name as Alex, and subconsciously her hand brushed against the front pocket of her apron where the fifty dollars was. The only way she'd get that money back is if he came back; which she wasn't quite sure he would. She had after all dropped his food all over the place. With one final glance over Lottie took in the restaurant, Pete having fired up the kitchen as the smell of bacon and ham were beginning to be cooked. Light blue walls with high, airy ceilings loomed about her melding well with the oaken floors. Each table and booth looked to be just about sparkling so feeling her job was done for now Lottie took a seat at the bar, waiting for the customers to begin pouring it.

Breakfast rush started as it always did. Frank and Benji the elderly couple shuffled in first, taking their normal seat in Dani's section, but not before bidding everyone a good morning. They were adorable and Lottie thought them to be just about the sweetest couple out there. After them came Dave, another elderly man, he was sharp around the edges though was a great tip so Lottie was relieved when he took a table in her section. Then came in the businessmen on their way to work, or trying to impress bosses with early breakfast's. While Torey Row was in a questionable part of the city, it had a reputation for being a great bite. Work was beginning to fire up and the din of voices had begun to swirl around the lofty place. There was nothing remarkable nor out of the ordinary for Lottie, save for about thirty minutes into breakfast rush. The doors opened, the cheery bell chiming to announce his presence. She had just finished serving Dave his normal toast and eggs, a pot of coffee- black. Glancing up Lottie felt her brows furrow together when a certain pink-and-mocha haired man strolled in, taking the seat he had been in last night.

Her section. The fifty dollars suddenly felt very heavy in her pocket, so biding Dave that if anything wasn't satisfactory to just give her a holler. Collecting herself, she calmly made her way over, reminding herself that this man was just another ordinary customer who had taken some out-of-place pity on her. "Welcome to Torey Row's. My name is Lottie and I'll be your server today. Can I start you off with something to drink? Pot of coffee has just been made. Also today's special is the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of eggs and your choice of bacon or ham." She began with her rhetoric, so rehearsed Lottie swore she heard that line in her dreams."
From across the room she caught Dani's raised eyebrow, as she nodded towards Alex. Glancing down she tried to maintain an air of professionalism. After all she had ended up on the floor with a burger and fries covered her uniform in front of him last night.

Mariska opened her container and looked at him when he asked her to look at him. She smiled when he spoke. Even though she was upset, Jack always made her feel better. She watched as he got up and nodded when he told her to finish eating. Mariska ate most of her food then put the leftovers in the fridge. Mariska walked upstairs, seeing Jack getting ready. "Has the guys mentioned any tours?" She asked him. She really hadn't asked him about work, but she knew she should. Things got a little harder when he was away for months at a time, but they made it work. Mariska walked over to him and wrapped her arms around him, letting her fingers run over his bare back. "I'm glad i have you." She whispered. She looked up at him, kissing him softly. "Let me get ready." She said.

Mariska went to her closet and pulled out something nice to wear. She got dressed and looked at him. "Okay i'm ready." She said. She grabbed her purse, walking downstairs with him. Mariska walked outside with him, glad it was nice out. She looked at Jack, "Where did you want to go?" She asked as she got in his car. She took his hand, lacing her fingers with his when he started the car.

Mariska relaxed against the seat as he drove to the art museum. She had always been a face of the museums and she was glad Jack loved looking at the art as much as she does. Mariska smiled as they got to building and stepped out with him. She took Jack's hand as they walked inside. "Maybe we could go out with the guys tonight?" She suggested. It had been awhile since they went to the club with everyone. Mariska really just wanted to unwind and relax.
Alex looked over at the girl who served him last night. "Coffee would be great actually." He said. He was glad she was there again today because she was a perfect ray of sunshine to start out his day. Alex watched as she walked off to get his coffee then answered his phone when it started to go off. He sighed, "Tommy just deal with it." He muttered into the phone as she brought his coffee. "I will be there in a half hour just hold them off until i get there." He said before he hung up. He looked over at Lottie and smiled. "I think i'm going to have the western omelette." He said as he handed the the menu.

Alex relaxed in his seat as he waited for his food. When she set his food on the table he instantly felt more hungry. "Thank you." He said. He really wanted to ask her out, but he wasn't sure how to go about it. He doubted she would even consider going out iwth him. Alex finished his food then handed Lottie his money when she came to get the check. He left her a decent tip again then grabbed his stuff. He stood up, pulling his jacket on, before starting out of the restaurant.

True to Jack's word he didn't take too long to shower. He grabbed a worn Blink-182 shirt and a pair of dark jeans that clung to his lanky legs and a sweater. Since Fall had come the city had begun to grow cold, his hoodies were making their way back out into his wardrobe. In the shower Jack washed his skin and hair as quickly as he could; looking forward to going out with his wife. He was drying his hair off when Mari walked into their room, and he shook his head. "I think we're going on one in about six months. But I'll ask Alex." Jack promised already feeling his stomach sink. He hated being away from Mariska, especially since they'd been trying for a baby. While he was away Jack hated the fact that he couldn't fall into Mariska's arms at the end of a long day.

Food sucked while he was away from her and he just felt lonely. Alex had teased him about it, all in good nature. He just wasn't himself when away from Mariska from any period of time. And Skype did nothing to help; though he used it far more than he should with her when he was away. "Glad I have you more." He teased to her retreating back, laying down on the bed until she reappeared, announcing she was ready. "We can talk about tours later, c'mon beautiful. To the museum it is." Jack suddenly announced springing to his feet while capturing Mariska's hand in his. They both adored art so it was no surprise when Jack steered the car onward towards the art museum he sang along, rather intentionally obnoxiously, to whatever song came onto the radio to make his wife laugh.

By the time they had arrived, Jack had managed to make her laugh; much to his delight. God he hated it when she was sad. As they walked around amongst the other couples, some looking more pretentious than others, Jack never once let her hand go. It was as if he were holding her to just silently give the reminder that he was there for her; and he wasn't going anywhere. They were admiring an abstract piece when Mari spoke up, nudging him gently. "Maybe we can go out with the guys tonight?" It was a good idea, and giving a goofy bow earning a few looks from other museum goers Jack announced "Your wish is my command. I'll be right back." His first stop was Alex, he was probably wasn't too busy. Making his way near a restroom to pull out his phone, for some reason Jack doubted a phone call in the middle of an exhibition would go over well, dialed his dark-eyed friend.

As he predicted Alex had picked up on the third ring, sounding a little disgruntled. "Yo man!" The guitarist greeted cheerfully, though began talking in a flurry before Alex could greet him as well. "Guys are going out tonight, You're coming. We're gonna go clubbing at that little local club. Come over in about two hours." On the other line Jack listened as Alex tried to squirm his way out of the invitation. "You're coming, and who knows. Maybe you'll finally meet Mrs.Gaskarth. Not your mom obviously but- you get it. I'm on a date so I gotta go. See you in two hours. Don't forget! Or I will come pick you up and drag you by your overly bushy eyebrows." With that Jack hung up and found his way back to Mariska. While sending a group message to Rian and Zack. Their confirmations were almost immediate, and Rian had even promised to bring Cassadee.

As his wife glanced up at his arrival, Jack rather proudly announced that they were on for tonight and everyone was going. The rest of the afternoon was spent wandering around the museum and afterwards downtown of the city until Jack got a bit cold, and time was cutting close for their group outing. Everyone had promised to meet up at the club, so figuring that Mari would want to get ready, Jack made their way back to the car and then back to the house. For once the reminder of the fact there was no babies for them didn't bother Jack. The quiet wasn't as loud and mocking as it usually was. While she got ready the bi-colored hair man laid on the couch taking a short nap before heading out. Shit maybe he really was getting old; napping by nine in the evening.

Lottie had been quick with orders, and that didn't exclude the handsome stranger by the name of Alex. Danica had teased Charlotte to show off a little more cleavage for a bigger tip; though she hadn't heeded that advice. She didn't need nor want to use her boobs to get money. If she did, than Lottie would be working at the strip joint down the street. Pete had been quick with his omelette and before long the man was served and out the door all in under forty minutes. Not before once again tipping her graciously. It made her a little uncomfortable but Jeannine had promised that, "If he can drop this much for a tip, I doubt he'll miss it." Still... It had made her a little unnerved. Lottie had been finishing her shift when Pete, Danica, and Jeannine all cornered her; eagerness shining in their eyes.

"We're going out clubbing tonight. You could do with a good lay. We're picking you up once we get off in an hour." Jeannine had announced with that tone that left no room for arguments. And for once, Lottie decided that maybe it would be a good idea to cut loose. Forget her troubles for a couple hours and have a bit to drink. "Alright." She sighed, running a hand through her thick brown hair, glancing down at herself. "I'll see you in an hour then." Glancing down at her watch, noting it was already nine in the evening she wondered where they planned on going. Quite a few times the trio had invited her out; though Lottie was usually busy. Either with dealing with a high Viktor pleading for money; or going to visit her mom whenever possible. During the first semester of college, Charlotte's mother had been diagnosed with leukemia. At first she had tried to help her mom pay bills by using the money she earned from working in the student store; though when it got bad and her white blood cell count got so low she had to be hospitalized, Charlotte dropped out to work at Torey's Row.

So it was with an eagerness Lottie banged into her third floor apartment and took another shower to try to wash out the smell of food. That was the worst part of working as a waitress, she would forever fucking smell like fries. But her shower gel and a nice perfume at least nicely masked the scent. Lottie was in her underthings when the door burst open to reveal her friends; who after she admitted that there was nothing for her to wear had a field day with picking out Lottie's clothes, hairstyle, and makeup. Her dress was tight, criminally so that left little to imagination with a plunging neckline with lace. Dani had gotten it for Lottie's twenty-first birthday a few months ago; and it had never been worn. She felt a little self-conscious as Pete handed her a ring, necklace and bracelet that he'd found on her wardrobe; and to finish it off a pair of heels that Lottie may actually break her neck in. After being assured about a hundred times she looked great they were off to the local club. Luckily Pete had a car so it was about a ten minute drive; and upon hopping out Lottie took a deep breath gathering her self-confidence; or at least the appearance that she had any.

That's how Lottie found herself, sitting at the bar sipping on her second Jack Rose as Pete downed a Death In The Afternoon and Dani and Jeannine were nowhere to be seen. They had disappeared after their second shot to go dance. Music blared around them as Pete giggled into his drink; and seriously, why did he think an absinthe cocktail would be a good idea? They all still had work in the morning. At least Pete did. Lottie didn't have to go in until one. People danced so closely together, that it felt almost intimate, and the brunette was beginning to grow antsy. A few men had come and asked her to dance; though she politely declined. Lottie simply wasn't drunk enough to pretend she wanted to dance. Pete had at more than one point whined that at least men were paying attention to her, which was waved off. Things were looking rather anit-climatic when all the sudden Pete made a strangled laughing noise as if he'd forgotten he had a sip of cocktail in his mouth.

And of course then he started whacking at her arm to try to gain Charlotte's attention. Glaring, rubbing her arm and trying to figure out what he was on about Pete finally swallowed his drink and shouted over the music, "Isn't that the guy from earlier?" Whipping around and following Pete's gaze her eyes sure enough landed on a familiar pink-haired man. Shit, really? As her gaze landed on him Lottie immediately whirled around so her back was to him. She was torn between saying hi, though ultimately decided against it. What if he thought she was weird, but more likely wouldn't remember her. "Go ask him to dance, he's fucking cute." Pete instructed, though under Lottie's smoldering gaze held up his hands. "Or not. Sit here and drink if you want, but I'm gonna go shake my ass." Her friend, clearly intoxicate giggled before getting up and making his way to the floor; leaving Lottie sitting alone with her half-finished Jack Rose.

Mariska finished getting dressed before she walked downstairs to see Jack laying on the couch napping. She walked over to him carefully then plopped onto him. She laughed when he made a noise. Mariska looked down at him, kissing him softly. "It's not nap time." She whined as she buried her face in his neck. "Wake up." She said as she let her fingers run underneath his shirt. She smiled when she felt him move underneath of her. She got up and took his hands. "Let's go." She said.

Mariska walked with him to the car and relaxed as they drove to the club. She got out, walking inside with him. She walked with him to his friends then looked around. "I will be back." She said as she rubbed his back. She stepped back and went to go get something to drink. She came back with a drink for her and a beer for Jack. She took a sip of her drink as she stood next to Jack. She had always liked going out with everyone. Even though she didn't handle alcohol very well she still enjoyed drinking.

Mariska looked up at Jack after a few drinks and took his hands, "Let's go dance." She said. She pulled him towards the dance floor then started to dance with him. She smiled as she placed his hands on her hips and moved with him.
Alex stood in the club, taking a sip of his Jack and coke. It seemed that drinking liquor was the only way he could get drunk anymore. His friends had forced him to go out and he would have rather went to bed. Alex let his eyes scan the area, landing on a certain girl he had always been taken with. Alex finished his drink then got himself another one. His friend talked loudly over the music about all the hot girls. Alex looked over as a shot was handed to him. HE took the shot then took a sip of his drink.

Alex moved through the crowd, lightly pushing people out of his way. He walked over to her, "So how long are you planning to stalk me for?" He teased as he set his glass on his table. He smiled at her, "You look very nice." He complimented her. Alex watched as a man came to get her another drink and she went to pay. "Put it on my tab Jimmy." He said, watching as the man walked away. Alex moved slightly closer to her. "Why are you sitting all alone?" He asked, "Your boyfriend ditch you?" He asked. He supposed he should make sure there wasn't another man in the picture. Of course even if there was he wasn't going to give up on this girl.

Alex let his eyes scan the area, seeing everyone dancing like idiots. He had never been one to dance and act like that. Unless he got really drunk, that was when he could become very entertaining. Alex looked at her again, "You didn't get in a lot of trouble the other night did you?" He asked. He was hoping he didn't get her in any kind of trouble.

After being woken up by Mari, Jack's eyebrows scrunched together with appreciation at her outfit. The white dress had a v-neck, at least that's what Jack thought it was called, while it clung tight and high on her thighs. Fuck. Feeling his throat go dry, he stood. "I'm gonna have to beat guys off you." Jack complimented with an impish grin. Since they were ready to go, and Jack had squeezed a small nap in he motioned towards the door, "After you." He murmured as the two made their way to the car. The drive wasn't bad and once they actually got to the small club; the guys liked it since hardly anyone recognized them there, Jack was really looking forward to seeing everyone. Normally he and Alex would hang out a couple times a week, along with the others but since Jack and Mariska had been trying for a baby; that seriously limited their time with their group of friends.

Once they were through the doors, pretty much just hanging around with Cassadee and Rian since Zack had disappeared towards the dancefloor after ordering a couple shots; and Alex still drinking shots, they fell into easy chatter. It was cute to watch how Cassadee would occasionally swing her hips against Rian in time to the rhythm. Mostly Jack was a flurry of limbs when he danced; which is why he needed to be drunk in order to do so. A club mix of Titanium was blaring and Jack would admit he enjoyed it. As if reading his mind, Mari who had finished her drink held out her hand and called for them to head to the floor. "Ah here is my chance to seduce you with my impeccable dancing skills." The lanky, brown-eyed boy shouted over the music, making his wife snort. They both knew he'd look like an awkward baby giraffe out on the floor- but the important thing was she loved him anyway.

As they pushed through the throng of people and towards the front he noted Alex still at the bar, chatting up a dark-haired woman. Making a note to head over there later, Jack for now was going to focus on his beautiful wife. Placing his large hands on her hips, almost dwarfing them he let her guide him along with the music, everything around them a little blurry and and he was feeling a little warm. That was probably the sprite and vodka he'd ordered though so Jack brushed it off. "If we had a baby than we wouldn't be able to do this for a long time. Mari couldn't drink until she was done breastfeeding and even then we can't exactly leave our kid to go clubbing. Maybe this is for the best. For now we can enjoy our life together a little more and if it happens it happens." Jack thought to himself, a small smile touching down on his lips.

Lottie, at the very least was tipsy. Being new to drinking, and not something she did often the now two Jack Rose's she consumed were catching up to her. Perhaps soon she'd decide to join her friends on the dance floor, but for now she was trying to get the bartender's attention; though it wasn't hard when her daring dress exposed just enough skin to be provocative. A cocktail, called a French45 had been set in front of her when she heard a familiar voice. "So, how long are you planning to stalk me for?" A soft giggle pushed through her lips, and turning around and placing a hand on her hip she fired back, "Dunno. This is pretty close to my work; how long do you plan on stalking me for?" An impish fire danced in her eyes though was replaced by a rather obvious shock at his compliment. "Not too bad yourself."

It was clear the booze was making her bolder than she normally was; that soft and gentle nature replaced by something more fervid and devilish. Dark green feline eyes sparkled with a roguish amusement as the bartender placed her drink down, though she stiffened when he told the bartender, who apparently he was on first name basis with, to put it on his tab. Discomfort embittered her tongue as Lottie decided to just slip back when Alex wasn't looking to pay for her drink. Taking a sip of the light bubbly cocktail she flickered her gaze over the crowd of people, searching for her friends. Pete was dancing with Dani, apparently spurred on by the bulky man circling the floor near her friend and deciding they could take care of themselves turned back as Alex asked her something.

For a moment Lottie blinked, though when it processed her cheeks flooded with a fragile pink hue. "I don't think I can bring my glass to the dance floor." She remarked, after being asked if she was alone, though her next question made Lottie's eyebrow quirk up with amusement. "Boyfriend? I'm a bit busy for that." It was true, Lottie worked herself like a dog. And the last boyfriend she had... It had ended nastily. Turned her off the whole dating scene for awhile. Shuddering at the memory Lottie took a smaller, thoughtful sip of her cocktail and decided she rather liked this one. "The other night?" For a moment her brain went fuzzy, though it suddenly recalled the circumstances of which she met Alex. "Nope. Joel was worried I would file a workplace law suit or something. Even got a free bag of ice out of it for my elbow. Not such a bad deal." It was more than a little difficult to speak Lottie tipped the rest of her drink back and finished it with a large swig before stumbling to her feet; mentally cursing her heels. "Well, you're gonna ask me to dance right?" She teased, gesturing towards the floor. In her drunken state of mind she figured that Alex was rather attractive, and one dance wouldn't kill her. Besides it wasn't like she could get fired for dancing with a customer outside of work.

Mariska smiled as she moved with him. She laughed when Rian came over and drunkenly started dancing with them. Mariska smiled as she watched him. It was nice to get out with their friends and just relax. Mariska watched the guys as she danced with Cassadee. Mariska eventually walked back to the bar with Jack and got herself another drink. She took a sip of her drink then looked at Jack. "This is fun." She said to him. SHe walked to the table with him, leaning against him. She giggled as she staggered into him slightly.

Mariska placed her drink on the table then placed her hands on his thighs as she stood between his legs. She kissed him softly, then pulled away, smiling at him. She had always liked how he put most of his attention on her. She thrived to have him always looking at her like she was the only one around. Which he did and it made her feel great. Mariska smiled as he took a swig of his beer, "I love you baby." She said as she kissed him.
Alex smiled when she got up from her seat. "Sure." He said as he threw back his drink. He took her hand, leading her to the dance floor. Alex began to dance with her and smiled as he watched her. She was absolutely gorgeous. He took her hands, dancing with her. He pulled her close, moving to the music. He was glad that she appeared to be having fun. "I'm glad you decided i was worth of your attention." He whispered in her ear, chuckling softly.

Alex spun her around then pulled her close and kept dancing with her. He moved with her and then let his hands move to her hips. He wanted to ask her out on a real date where they could sit down and actually talk. He wanted to get to know her. Alex smiled as he pulled her towards him again and looked down at her. He had always been a good dancer. He was actually surprised at how well he danced. It always seemed to impress people.

He was a little sweaty, his cheeks flushed but Jack was having a helluva time with Mari. She was beautiful, judging from the stares she got; Jack wasn't the only one who thought that. It of course didn't bother him that much. Mariska loved him and she wasn't about to cheat on Jack. Rian had come over at one point to start grinding on Jack and making suggestive winks; all in good nature as Cassadee snorted with laughter not far away. It was such a needed breath of air that Jack had forgotten their baby troubles. That was probably everyone's intention as they were all aware of the situation. The boys were such a close-knit group that it was hard to not know what they were doing. Besides, everything seemed a little more rosy while drunk. Which Jack at this point was. His long frame swayed a little, and it was hard to tell if he was supporting Mari up, or she was supporting him up.

Back at the bar he noted Alex and the unnamed brunette disappearing into the throng of dancers. Once they were gone Jack turned his attentions back to his wife, grinning as he felt her hands resting on his thigh as she kissed him. Her eyes were alight with laughter and amusement as Jack took a swig of the beer that had been placed before him. "I love you baby." Mari crooned to him as Jack reached out to brush his thumb against her cheek. "Love you a whole bunch of lots." He promised, feeing contented with her. He had known their first date that she was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. Around him Jack's friends had dispersed to do their own thing; save for Zack who had come back from dancing and threw back a shot before fixing Jack and Mari with an easy grin. "Alex told you we're leaving in four months right? Touring Europe." Zack informed between shots. Jack felt his smile simmer into a frown. So they were touring after all. "We are?" He called over the music sounding a little slow and stupid to his ears as Zack nodded his confirmation.

"Gonna be gone three months." That wasn't the longest tour he'd ever been on, but still it would mean time away from Mari. Glancing over he tried to gauge her reaction; and ignore the loneliness that was already setting in on him. "Oh, thanks for the headsup man." Now that he had thought about it- he vaguely recalled Alex saying something about this a few months ago. Trying to keep the situation light he wrapped an arm around Mariska's shoulders, "And for three months you'll get a bed all to yourself without this bedhog." He wanted to promise her that they'd be back before she knew it; but Mariska knew how tours worked. And he doubted his pacification would be welcomed. But tonight was to celebrate, and tomorrow they could discuss the tour and how long he'd be gone. Besides when he wasn't around and the band was on tours Mariska had her friends to keep her company- namely Cassadee. This wasn't the first time during their relationship that they'd be spending time away from each other; and while it sucked they'd be ok.

Her first steps had been hesitant and the more sober part of her mind was mentally cursing herself. But her liquid confidence was still sloshing about her veins, so with a bit of glee the duo passed Dani who had given Lottie a wink that was rather transparent in meaning. When they picked a spot, Alex leading with dance moves that Lottie was admittedly impressed with, she figured him a two step hip-swaying kind of guy, she too began to let her figurative hair down. She was a little surprised and unsteady when she was spun around, but it didn't stop her from continuing to dance. She nearly shuddered with surprise when she felt soft breath against her ear and his honey and smoke voice leaking into her ear. "I'm glad you decided i was worth of your attention." This made Charlotte want to laugh, and a little giggle did burst past her lips. "So glad the dead end waitress who works until she's pretty much dead on her feet gave you a chance. That's a first." There was no malice nor mockery in her voice; just a curious intrigue.

Would Alex still find her attractive when if he found out she had to bring her brother to the hospital into the hospital almost monthly for his drug addiction, so he wouldn't die from overdose? Or that right now she couldn't visit her mother as a simple cold could kill her; and she was drowning with bills, bills, and more bills? It was evident by the way he spent money, and sauntered about with a confidence of having eyes on him that Alex was well off. She was just the girl from the slumps; and suddenly she felt her stomach fill with nausea. His hands were warm and large against her hips, and for a moment she stilled, her lips pressing into a frown. What was she thinking? It was obvious they were from different worlds, and Lottie's life was no Disney movie. But this was only one night. And for one night Lottie could pretend that she wasn't completely below this man in nearly aspect. And it was only one night. Wherever this went, would be fine by Lottie; but then she wouldn't see him again.

How could a rabbit fly with a hawk? Her thoughts, made her want another drink; and tonight she would silence her mental process. When the song came to a close, Lottie led him back to the bar, ordering her own drink before he could do so himself. Three shots of vodka were placed in front of her, and raising a glass she purred just beneath the music "Well, bottoms up." The liquid wasn't bitter per say, though it burned her mouth and gullet on the way down making her wince. She certainly preferred cocktails to straight up vodka. Much to her relief Lottie's doubts began to quell once the alcohol hit her system, though from a few seats down she noticed a lanky man with a blonde under his arm shooting Alex a couple of eyebrow waggles. Distantly she recalled seeing Alex with them before he'd come over to her.

Mariska pouted and hugged him, "I love my bedhog though." She said as she rested her head on his chest. SHe looked at him, kissing him softly. "I hate an empty bed." She told him. Mariska had always had separation problems when Jack wasn't home. The house just felt empty and she was glad that she had friends. She kissed him again and took his hand. She was glad that the baby thing was off their minds for a moment.

Mariska knew that eventually she would have to figure out a way to have kids. She knew it was something wrong with her, but she didnt want to tell Jack that. She always had the fear in the back of her head that he would leave her. She kissed him again, "I'm glad we decided to come out tonight baby." She said.
Alex smiled as he walked with her to the bar. He took the shots with her, then looked down at her. He pushed some loose hairs out of her face. "I don't care if you are a waitress just so you know. You are amazing from what i see." He told her. He was glad that she had actually danced with him. Alex wasn't one to go out of his way for women, but she had caught his eyes. "Also when you fell in the diner i knew you were for me." He teased as he kissed her cheek.

Alex wanted her to be his and only his. He was willing to do whatever he could to make her his. "So would you like to go out with me on a real date sometime?" He asked. He wanted her to feel special and know that he was serious about all of this.

Jack instead of replying leaned forward and kissed Mari soundly. "I'll miss you too." The words were whispered against her lips. He could feel the night was coming to a close, he was hammered and so was Mari so they'd need to catch a cab back to their place and have someone swing by here tomorrow to pick their car up. Jack wasn't going to chance either of them driving in this condition. However he would wait until Mariska was done partying to go home. Grinning as Mari kissed him he rumbled his agreement. "Always love taking my girl out for a night on the town." The guitarist winked, finishing off his drink. That drink would be his last, since he was rather intoxicated Jack didn't want to end up with alcohol poisoning, nor did he want to vomit on the floor of the club. As the night was waning, Jack glanced down at his watch and to his wife. "Hey, wanna head home?" It had been fun, but it was getting late and Jack was that kind of drunk where he was gonna curl up and fall asleep soon- regardless of where they were.

At her agreement to go ahead and catch a cab, Jack would come down tomorrow and pick the car up before it was towed or something, he stood searching for their friends. He found Rian and Cassadee had the same idea as them, so the couple's bid each other farewell. Zack wasn't too hard to find, finishing up his drink. Then there was Alex; who still chatting the brunette from earlier up. Slinging an arm around Mari he headed towards the duo and upon approaching cleared his throat. The girl looked startled, and Alex turned around his eyebrows furrowed together. "Mariska and I are hitting the road. We'll talk later man alright?" The girl still startled was glancing down at her own watch, looking somewhat antsy. He'd ask Alex later. For now though he waved goodnight leading his wife towards the exit.

Making sure he had his keys and wallet from the car while Mariska hailed a cab Jack was finding it hard to stay upright. Shit he was so hammered; though since it'd been awhile he figured it was okay. Wrapping his arms around Mari doing his best to keep her warm he chuckled "Should make the most of this while it lasts." They wouldn't exactly be partying if and when they had a baby in the house. It didn't take long to hail the cab, and stumbling in after Mariska. Jack nearly fell asleep against the aged leather seats; and before he knew Mari was shaking him informing him they were home. Paying the fare, stepping out he helped Mariska to the door and let themselves in. He wasn’t sure who was more drunk; and that may be why after a long a somewhat perilous journey up the stairs, the second he got into their bedroom Jack collapsed on the bed, shoes and all.

Lottie would admit that she was having fun with this dark-eyed man. He wasn’t exactly a friend nor stranger. Perhaps acquaintance would best describe what they were to each other. Charlotte’s thought process was more than a little fuzzy by the time they finished what would probably be her last round of shots. She did have to work tomorrow, later granted, but being at work hungover was the worst. She did a stir of pity for her trio of friends who seemed to throw caution to the wind and drank to their hearts content. Pausing for a moment as Alex rather confidently informed her that he didn’t care that Charlotte was a waiter.

Saying nothing for a moment the girl knew that he’d regret that. It wasn’t so much as the waitress thing she expected him to mind- it was everything else. She was just another pretty face and given the way he acted she expected him to be from a completely different world. Thought it occurred to Lottie that may be part of his attraction. A girl from the wrong side of the tracks? Sounded terribly romantic but in all honesty she’d just become a burden to him. And Lottie wanted to keep things easy as possible with her life and she expected this to be a complication that would leave her broken and shattered in the end.

She could see it coming, the way his eyes flashed with determination and his chin tilted upwards ever so slightly. "So would you like to go out with me on a real date sometime?" Feeling her smile freeze, Lottie glanced away, her hair falling forward to mask her face. Fortune must of taken pity on her as a long-limbed man with a blonde beneath his arm stumbled over; announcing he was leaving. It gave Charlotte enough of a pause to collect herself. ”You wanna go on a date?” Her voice was soft, a little unsure as she furrowed her eyebrows together. It would of been wise for her to say no, just let him take her home for the night and then go about their routine. No strings, no complications, she certainly wouldn’t get lost in his world; nor he her’s. But Charlotte’s mouth had a funny way of betraying her, especially when booze loosened her lips. ”Alright, you’ve won me over. One date!” She exclaimed, lingering for a few moments longer before Dani found her; throwing Alex quite the appraising look. ”Lottie, unless you’re going home with him we’re leaving so if you wanna ride c’mon.”

Her cheeks instantly flooded with color and she shook her head, the dark wild hair bouncing about wildly. ”I need a ride, don’t leave me.” She whined, very obviously intoxicated. ”I will see you around.” And with that Dani was half pulling half supporting Lottie out of the bar. She’d had a bit too much to drink and likely she would have a raging headache when she woke up.

Mariska smiled as they made their way to the taxi. She leaned against Jack as they drove to the house. She smiled when she saw he passed out. She shook his awake, "Come on baby." She said. She watched as he paid then got out and walked into the house with him. Mariska smiled as she watched him lay on the bed. She took her clothes off and pulled on a tank top and shorts. "Baby you can't sleep in your clothes." She slurred as she climbed on the bed next to him. She kissed his cheek and pulled away. She laid on the bed watching him. "Jack." She whined as she watched him start to undress. She held her hands out to him then pulled him into the bed with him. SHe kissed him, smiling against his lips. "I love you." She whispered as she snuggled against him and started to fall asleep
Alex smiled when she agreed, "I will get a hold of you." He teased. He kissed her cheek then let her leave with her friends. HE smiled when he realized that she had actually agreed. He went back to his house and started to get ready for bed. He laid down on his bed, passing out. Alex woke up the next morning and groaned at his headache. Alex walked to the kitchen and slowly made himself something to eat. He sat at the table, eating slowly. He sighed, knowing he had to go to work today.
