Splatoon is a third person shooter game from Nintendo. It is a Wii U exclusive. The game takes place in a world where squids are evolved and become the dominant race. You play as an "Inkling" - a creature who can change between humanoid form and squid form at will. There are different modes. The main mode is Turf Wars. Once you reach level 10, you may also play Ranked which introduces Tower Control, Splat Zones, and Rainmaker.
Single player mode - also known as hero mode - is also available for those without an internet connection. Amiibos are also available for the game - albeit very rare and kind of expensive.
