He lead her over to their seats at the table where they would eat, after they would spend a few days together before they were married and they moved to Luhans castle in the North. He had never been this far South and he had wished it was for travel rather than for marriage.

He turned to Jongdae and sighed. "Its just as bad as I expected it to be, this whole situation."

She waited until they got to their seats and began heading to hers on the side of Marissa. After everyone sat, they began serving food, with Luhan and Marissa at the center of the table and everyone else moving outward.

She looked over Marissa at her husband and shrugged. "He is handsome like the stories said, but for you maybe he is not as cold."

She looked at Jazmin, "You're not wrong but we'll see about the coolness of his attitude," she said to her lightly as she was poured some wine.

"It's just hot, you'll live - I mean the ladies are quite beautiful down here," he said to him, "And I don't think I've ever caught you staring at a womans chest like you have your fiancee's - given that women in the north are mor covered,"

"I am stuck with her, of course I looked. I wanted to see what I would be living with for the rest of my life." He murmured. "I see only two women worth a look, which will make bedding her easier than I expected."

"I am trying to be optimistic in your case because I will probably be unsuccessful in mine," She said, taking a sip of her drink.

"I heard your father talking to mine this morning," she said to her lightly - "He was also talking to some other mans parents about an arranged marriage," she told her lightly.

He shrugged slightly,"What you do is up to you - but I've heard your fiancee is the most pleasant woman to be around,:"

She rolled her eyes. "Excellent." She muttered, shaking her head. "Did you hear who?"

"Pleasant or not, I will limit the time around her. I dont want this." He muttered.

She shook her head,"Unfortunately no,:" she said to her lightly as she looked at her then sipped her wine.

He smiled a little,"Oh lease at least be pleasant you're stuck with her forever,"

"I didnt ask for this. Besides, you have always been able to tolerate people better than me." He said, shaking his head and then seeing his parents give him a look. "I have to go spend time with the wife to be. Ill see you in the morning?"

"If he is young he may be rude, old he may be abusive... But then he could die before me." She mumbled, shaking her head. She sighed and looked behind her. "Looks like it is time for you to leave. I will see you tomorrow morning."

She nodded,"Tomorrow then," she said to her lightly then sighed a little as she looked at her husband to be.

He nodded,"Yes, tomorrow morning have fun and don't forget to be nice - women are scary," he said to him.

He scoffed. "Not that scary," He said, before turning to Marissa. "Can you give me a tour of your parents manor?" he asked slightly bored.

She nodded and watched, knowing this was not what she wanted. She took another sip of her drink and stood, knowing she didnt want to spend more time at the party.

She nodded,"Of course," she said to him as she stood up and took his hand, "I'll start with the gardens," she said to him.

"You don't need to. I was only doing it because it was what our parents wanted. You can go to your chambers if you wish, and I to mine." He said to her.

She headed out but past by Luhans friend, so she stopped and curtsied, only because it was polite and her parents were watching her.

She laughed a little, "Oh my mistake I was under the impression that I was marrying a man - not a child who was going to skirt around his responsibilities as my fiancee," she said to him rolling her eyes, "It's time to grow up Luhan - maybe as a woman I had to realize it sooner but our lives are not our own it's time to do whats expected of us and make the most of it," she said to him.

"Now - the gardens?" she said to him, "Or shall I venture them alone and when my father finds me I'll tell him all about how you left me alone so you could do whatever it is you wanted to do," she told him.

He bowed to her,"My lady," he said to her, "May I have this dance??" he asked.

"Tell your father what you wish, he will tell you to stop complaining. I'm tired, and I wish to go to my chambers. It doesn't bother me in the slightest." He said with cold indifference.

"Think what you will of my manliness or immaturity, your thoughts or opinions of me mean nothing to me." He shrugged.

She sighed a little, she hadn't asked for a dance, she was just doing it because her parents were watching. She nodded and sighed, heading towards the floor.

She shook her head, "I won't be complaining, trust me I'll be musing about why my husband seems to have time for everyone else but his fiancee - we're stuck together for life, I had wished you would at least act your age," she told him, "but I suppose I'd rather spend my time alone than with someone who has a petty attitude,"

He smiled as he led her to the dance floor, "My name is Jongdae," he said to her.

"My name is Alexandra," She said to him, looking straight forward and sighing. She knew the kind of men he and Luhan were, and she hated them for it. Men who thought they could sleep around and that women were there strictly for their pleasure.

"Like I said, think what you will of my manliness or immaturity. I have nothing to prove to you," He chuckled a little. "I dont want to be with you. My job is to wed and bed you, all which will be done. Short of that I owe you nothing."

"Of course you don't I only owe you an heir - short of that you'll never see much else of me," she said to him seriously.

He smiled a little as he danced with her, "Have you lived here in court long?" he asjked.

"I grew up in court. My father is Lord Bennett, the Kings spanish ambassador and head of his privy council. My mother was the Queens head lady in waiting." She said to him, her voice strictly polite.

"And I will be more than happy when our due is paid." He shrugged.

"Goodnight," she said to him as she curtsied then moved to walk back to her bedroom where she'd spend the rest of her night alone. Marissa knew she'd have to get used to be alone but it didn't mean she had to like it.

He nodded,"Sounds like you hold a special place in the courts heart," he said to her.

"It would seem so," She said to him, sighing a but to herself. She knew it had nothing to do with being special. It had all to do with connections, and her family had them. In her case, she was a woman and didnt get a voice and she hated it for that.
