Emma raised an eyebrow at him, "Wow. A prophet. And I thought I had seen it all here." She said honestly. She nodded at his later words, "Robin Hood and his Merry Men live here in the woods. Captain Hook from Peter Pan lives here in town yes and just walked off with your sister. As I mentioned Snow White and Prince Charming are my parents." She admitted.

    ---

Killian smiled and nodded before he walked with her, "So tell me about yourself." He said and then wanted to hit himself for being so cliche with the question he just asked. Killian still couldn't believe she actually agreed to go on a date with him. Huh. A date. It sounded weird to him. Maybe it was just the pirate in him.

  • "Trust me, you haven't even heard half of it." Dean said, shaking his head slightly. He didn't really know where to start, but he was glad that she actually believed him. Hopefully she'd take his excuse for never showing up as well. "How exactly did they get here? I'm assuming that they don't belong here. I mean, there's movies and everything about them." He wouldn't be surprised if there was another world or something. It would make sense. "If your parents are Snow White and Prince Charming, doesn't that make you a princess?"
"Do you want the long, complicated version or the short and condensed one?" Layla asked as they walked, a smile on her face. There was so much to tell. For some it would be a very simple question, however that wasn't the case for Layla at all. Nothing was ever really simple with her or her family. Things were always crazy and complicated. "I should start off by saying that I'm not actually an FBI agent though, regardless."

Emma sighed, "The Evil Queen cast a curse to hurt my mom and it brought all of them over here to the real world. They're from a realm called the Enchanted Forest. When they were brought over here about 29 years ago the curse made them forget who they were. I wasn't over here thought. My parents sent me through a tree and sent me over here when I was a newborn. I am the person to break the curse. They call me the Savior." She explained.

    ---

Killian shrugged, "Long one. I want to know everything about you." He said with a smile as they neared Granny's. He raised an eyebrow at her when she said she wasn't in the FBI, "I kind of guessed. I figured that the FBI doesn't deal with giant snowman or something of he sort so much on a daily basis they aren't scared when they get here and see magic and such."

  • "Well, if it makes you feel any better, Sam, Layla and I almost caused, actually we did cause it, the apocalypse. Apparently Sam and I were destined to be vessels for Lucifer and Michael in the fight to end all. Layla and our half-brother Adam were next in line. Something about Winchester blood, I guess." Dean said, running a hand through his cropped hair. He knew a thing or two about being destined to be someone or do something, so Emma clearly wasn't alone in that boat. "I guess what I really wanted to get at was my reason for not showing up thirteen years ago though. Someone killed Sam the year before I met you. I couldn't live with the fact that my little brother was dead so I went and made a deal with a crossroad's demon. In exchange for my brother's life, I sold my soul over to her. I was given a year to live. That year happened to be up right when I was supposed to meet you. I was in Hell, Emma. That's why I never showed up."
"It's a good thing we're getting lunch then, because this could take a while." Layla said, letting out a quiet laugh. She was being completely serious though. There was a lot more to her than one might think. She'd lived a rather eventful and interesting life thus far, and she doubted that that was likely to ever change. "Well, I don't exactly deal with giant snowmen on a daily basis, but I have seen my fair share of monsters and seemingly impossible things over the years." She told him. "Sam, Dean and I are hunters. We hunt monsters for a living. Vampires, ghosts, werewolves, demons, the whole nine yards. So, while I hadn't come across any giant snowmen until today, I've seen enough for it not to come as a shock to me."

Emma raised her eyebrows at Dean, "The apocalypse huh? I must have missed it." She said, not remembering ever hearing of something along those lines. She felt her heart start raising when he talked about when they were supposed to meet thirteen years ago. She listened as he talked and her eyes went wide, "Are you being serious?" She asked, even though it was clear that he was. She took a breath, "Wow. Hell. That's...uhh...that's a lot." She stated, unsure of what else to say. She couldn't believe what she was hearing, although she did believe it. It was just a lot for her to take in.

    ---

Killian opened the door to Granny's and let Layla walk in ahead of him, like a proper gentleman. He listened as she talked and he was surprised, "Those things are real?" He asked, not really thinking how stupid it sounded. Storybrooke had so many things that people wouldn't believe and here he was not truly believing what she was saying, "That's...unbelievable. But I believe it. I believe you." He said as he sat down in a booth and let her sit across from him.

  • "Notice any freak storms a few years ago?" Dean asked her. "Thanks to Lucifer himself and kind of indicated that the apocalypse was happening. The media just chalked it up to being freaky weather though." He punctuated his words with a slight shrug of his shoulders. When he thought about it, there was a great deal that the media screwed up, at least in terms of whether or not it was true or not. That's why he, Sam and Layla still relied on the newspaper for cases. Much more reputable source. "Yeah, it's uh, it's not something I really talk about often." He cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his neck. "But that's honestly the only reason I never showed up, Emma."
Layla raised an eyebrow at his question as if to silently ask if he was really asking it. They'd just come face to face with a giant snowman, and he was asking her if those other things she'd just rattled off were real? That list hadn't even covered half of the things she and her brothers had come across over the years. "As real as you and I are." She said, sliding into the booth. "I would hope so. You live in a town where some of the inhabitants possess magic and where giant snowman attack. If you didn't believe my brother's and I hunted monsters I'd be a little surprised." She laughed.

Emma raised her eyebrows, "That was the apocalypse?" She asked, remembering that there were a bunch of really weird storms happening all over the world. She couldn't believe that was because of Dean. She frowned when he got awkward when talking about when he went to Hell, "I believe you." She said honestly. She was still in shock that Dean was here and now she was finding out that the reason he didn't show up all those years ago was because he went to Hell because he sold his soul to a demon. What the hell was her life?

    ---

Killian looked up when a waitress came over and asked for their orders. Killian let Layla go first before he said what he wanted. He looked back at the lass sitting in front of him, "So how exactly did you get into the business of hunting monsters for a living?" He asked. He assumed it wasn't something that you just willingly decide to do one day to be a little adventurous. So there had to be a reason behind why her and her brothers were in that line of work. If you could call it a line of work.
    December 5th, 2015 at 04:56am
  • Dean nodded. "The start of it anyway." He told her. It was strange talking about this all with her. He'd been under the impression that he'd never see her again, until yesterday, and now he was telling her the truth about, well, everything. "Good, that's good." He said quietly. He was glad that she believed him, relieved even. This was going much better than he ever could have hoped it would. "So, uh he's my son, huh?"
"It's kind of like a family business actually." Layla told him. It was all she'd ever really known. Unlike Sam, she hadn't left it all behind to go off to college. She'd spent those four years working with Dean on a lot of cases, some of which he wasn't so happy about seeing as being followed around by his kid sister did kind of serve as a bit of a cockblock at times. But he'd gotten over it eventually. "My mom's family were all hunters. My mom left it all behind not long after she met my dad...mom was murdered a few months after I was born. Sam was two, and Dean was four. Dad became a hunter that night. It's all I've ever really known."

Emma nodded in understanding, "Well then. That's good I guess that it didn't actually fully happen." She said awkwardly. She took a breath at his question, "Yeah. Henry is your kid." She replied and gave half a smile, "If you feel bad or something because you weren't in his life or something don't feel bad. I gave him up for adoption when I had him. It wasn't until he was ten that he came and found me. The Evil Queen I told you about. Well she's his adoptive mother. She's also the one that saved us from the snowman." Emma explained.

    ---

Killian nodded, listening as she spoke. He frowned when he said that her mother was killed, "I'm sorry about your mum. I know that must be hard." He said and then frowned as a thought crossed his mind, "So your father basically forced you and your brothers into hunting? That doesn't sound very fatherly." He said honestly. He didn't know anything about her dad and shouldn't have really said anything but he felt like he should say something about the fact that she was basically forced into it at birth.
    December 5th, 2015 at 05:14am
  • Dean nodded. "It was a pretty close call though." He remembered feeling like he'd failed both Sam and Layla after they stopped the apocalypse. He'd pretty much raised the both of them since they're dad was always out hunting when they were kids. Sam had been in the cage with Lucifer, and Layla had been mourning the loss of a brother. And there had been nothing Dean could really do about it. "Why'd he come and find you?" He asked her curiously. "And, if that's who saved us, it sounds to me like the Evil Queen isn't so evil after all."
Layla nodded. "It was a long time ago, I don't even remember her." She told him. That's always how she tried to look at it. She figured that, if anything, it was hardest on Dean. He actually remembered their mother, she and Sam, not so much. She shook her head in response to his later words. "No, my dad didn't force us to do anything. He prepared us for what the world is actually like." That's what she always told anyone who questioned her dad's parenting. Deep down, she kind of knew it was bullshit though. "He wasn't around very much when Sam and I were younger, usually off on hunts. And I know that that doesn't make him sound like father of the year, but it is what it is."

Emma nodded at his words before she shrugged, "He was given a storybook by my mom and he started realizing that everyone in the town was from that book and so he came to find me so I could break the curse and bring back everyone's memories. He truly believed I could break the curse, and I guess he was right." She explained before she nodded, "She's trying to become good again. She wants her happy ending and her happy ending was supposed to be with Robin Hood but I screwed it up when Hook and I got sent back in time to the Enchanted Forest and I saved Robin's wife from being killed and brought her back here with us. So that's in Regina's way and she's trying to not lose it on everyone so she's laying low for a while."

    ---

Killian nodded at her words before she started talking about her dad, "I guess if he was trying to prepare you for the real world then he did a pretty good job." He said before frowning when she said he wasn't there much when she and Sam were kids, "Well at least he actually came back. My father just left me." He stated, honestly shocked by his openness. He didn't usually share that kind of information with anyone ever. What was it about her that was making him just share his deepest kept memories.

  • "Wow...I guess there's a lot more going on in this town than I originally thought." Dean said, shaking his head slightly. If he wasn't in the line of work that he was, he probably wouldn't be able to wrap his head around this all very easily. It was all still a little mind boggling, but not nearly as much as it could have been. "So...time travel then too?" He asked, punctuating his words with a raised eyebrow. "Is there anything else that I should really know while I'm here? Oh, and if the Evil Queen's good, or trying to be, I'm guessing Hook's good too?" Maybe he still got slightly overprotective when it came to Layla, but not nearly as much as Sam did. His little sister had just gone of with some guy who happened to be a pirate and known as a villain in this world. The question was bound to come up sooner or later.
Layla nodded. "That he did." She agreed. "Though there were some things that I don't think that he ever could have prepared us for." She'd never imagined coming face to face with the devil himself or dealing with her brother losing his soul. There was also coming face to face with Death, and learning that there was an entire book series out there about hers and her brothers' lives written by a prophet of the Lord too. Those were some pretty damn surprising things. "That must have been hard..." She said, frowning slightly. She didn't understand parents who just abandoned their children like that. It was horrible.

Emma laughed and nodded, "Yeah this town is a lot sometimes. We've dealt with the Wicked Witch of the West, Peter Pan, Maleficent, and a bunch of other crazy things you'd never expect." She said with a shrug. She nodded at the time travel thing. She raised her eyebrows and thought about his question, "Uh yeah Hook's good. Well at least I would hope so. He wasn't at first when he got here but then he changed." She took a breath and answered his previous question, "Umm let's see. Rumplestiltskin is here and he's with Belle from Beauty and the Beast. The dwarfs from Snow White are here. As I mentioned my parents are Snow White and Prince Charming. Basically we've got all the main fairytale characters." She explained.

    ---

Killian listened as she talked and then smiled at her words, "Things like a giant snowman perhaps?" He asked with a light tone in his voice. He nodded when she replied, "Yeah it was tough. But I've long since moved on from it." He said and then looked up when Granny brought over their food. He smiled over at Layla, "I don't know about you but I'm starving." He said with a smile before digging into his food. He smiled over at her, thankful they had gotten to share this time together.

  • "Well, I guess now I can see why you believe me." Dean said, chuckling slightly. With everything she was telling him, it was easy to see why she'd believe him. He had a feeling that if he'd trying tell her all of this years ago she wouldn't believe him. She probably would have thought he was crazy or something. "Alright, uh that's good then. Maybe try telling Sam that next time you see him. He has a tendency to get a little more overprotective than I do when it comes to Layla." He chuckled. "Does uh, does Henry know anything about me? Did he ever ask?"
Layla let out a quiet laugh. "I had other things in mind, but I suppose I never expected to come across a giant snowman either." She said, a smile on her face. "That's all you can really do." Dwelling on issues like that just made matters worse. It was easier to move on, not necessarily forgive and forget, but simply try to get on with life. "That makes two of us." She was quick to dig into her food once Granny set it down in front of her as well. She was honestly glad that she'd agreed to this. She'd enjoyed talking to Killian a great deal.

Emma laughed and nodded, "Will do." She said before cringing slightly at his question, "He asked about you once. I told him that you were dead..." She said quietly, "I didn't think I was going to ever see you again so I just told him that instead of that you left me to go to prison while I was waiting for you." She explained quickly. In her defense she didn't have much time either when Henry had asked her about his dad to think of a reasonable explanation as to why he wasn't around because until that day she didn't know why he didn't show up so there was no use faking a whole new completely different story.

    ---

Killian smiled at her words before he ate his food. He was so glad that whatever had possessed her to actually come out on a date with him did it because he liked spending time with her and talking to her. She was quite fascinating and he really liked being around her. It was weird to say but while they were there eating and talking, he had completely forgotten that only a mere hour before they had been fighting a giant snowman and he had forgotten that there was someone who had brought the snowman there. He couldn't be bothered with that right now. At that moment all his attention was on Layla.
    December 7th, 2015 at 04:08am
  • Dean never really understood why Sam was always so overprotective of Layla. He supposed it was because they were closer in age than he was to her, and that they'd spent a great deal of time together when Dean got old enough to go off on hunts with their dad. Sam probably felt obligated to protect her, or so he was assuming anyway. "So, how exactly do you want to go about this thing?" He asked her curiously. "I mean, he thinks I'm dead, but I'd really like to at least get to know the kid. I know I'm probably not cut out to be the best of fathers, but I really do want to get to know him. He seems like a great kid from what you've told me."
"So, I've told you a bit about myself, but you haven't told me much about you. I hardly think that's fair." Layla said, popping a french fry into her mouth. She was honestly glad she'd agreed to get lunch with him. She didn't know what had possessed her to do so, but she was glad that whatever it was had. She quite liked talking to Killian, and she honestly wouldn't mind staying here in Storybrooke for a little while longer if it meant that she'd have the opportunity to get to know him better.

  • @ the corpse bride.
Emma bit her lip and shrugged, "In all honesty I have no idea. There's no hiding you from him because you're here. If you really want to get to know him I think we should just tell him. He's thirteen. He's going to be really confused at first but I think he will understand." She suggested, unsure of any other way to go about it. There was really nothing other than just telling Henry that Dean was his father.

    ---

Killian shrugged as he leaned over and stole one of her fries, eating it before she could protest, giving her a smirk, "Well I've been here for two years. Before that I sailed on my ship for a long time. And before that I was a solider with my brother and we sailed together on his ship." He explained and shrugged once more, "There isn't much to tell." He said but then thought about it, there was actually a lot seeing as he had lived for centuries but he wasn't sure what to tell her, "I guess another thing is that a lot of people know me as Captain Hook." He stated with a smirk.
    December 7th, 2015 at 04:59am
  • Dean nodded slowly. "Well, he knows about the books, so that should make it all a little bit easier." He said. He wasn't sure how to go abut this, though he supposed just telling Henry as Emma suggested was the best thing that they could possibly do. He was, after all, thirteen and therefore more than likely old enough to handle this. Confusing or not. "I think we should tell him. Like I said before, i would like to get to know him if I can."
Layla shot a playful glare his way when he stole a fry off of her plate, though she said nothing of the matter. Instead, she remained silent and listened as he talked. The last thing he said to her was what really caught her off guard though. She supposed that it made sense, well, as much sense as it possibly could. There were still several questions that she already had brewing in her head though. "Captain Hook? As in Peter Pan's nemesis?" After dealing with a giant snowman today, nothing would surprise her though. It explained the hook he had for a hand and the comment he'd made the night before. "Would that have anything to do with the comment you made last night then?"
    December 7th, 2015 at 05:09am
  • @ the corpse bride.
Emma nodded, "He had been trying to convince me earlier. He fully believes the books so it should be interesting to explain to him that the books are actually basically the same as his fairytale book." She said and laughed lightly. She nodded again at his next words, "We can tell him. He should be back from school actually and back at my parent's apartment. So if you want we can go tell him now." She suggested, becoming more nervous with every word she spoke.

    ---

Killian nodded, "Aye." He said with a smirk, "But from what I've heard I'm portrayed to be a huge villain in that story when in reality, Peter Pan is a dick and he is actually the villain." Killian stated. Of course Killian was a villain but he wasn't the one in the Peter Pan story. Killian wasn't sure if he would still consider himself a villain. He was always working with the heroes and doing the right thing, but he was still a pirate so there was some confusion. But Killian liked to believe he was a hero of some sorts, "You are very perceptive." He said with a nod of his head, "The comment last night was a hint." He said with a grin.
    December 7th, 2015 at 05:17am
  • "I guess that makes things a bit easier on us then." Dean said, chuckling slightly. He couldn't believe that his own son ended up being one of the few people who owned copies of those damned books. What were the chances? He really needed to try to track down as many of them as he possibly could and destroy them or something. "Alright, the sooner we get this over with the better." He saw no sense in avoiding it. He wanted to get to know his son, and he couldn't do so until both he and Emma came clean about, well, everything.
"That's a slight understatement." Layla said, letting out a slight laugh. She was somewhat surprised about Peter Pan being a villain, although not nearly as surprised as she could have been. "I guess Disney got the story wrong then. Of course, you also look nothing like the character in the movie." That was also an understatement. She supposed there was a lot that the movie got wrong then. From what she could tell, he didn't seem like much of a villain, so she'd take his word for Peter Pan being the actual villain. "I go around pretending I'm an FBI agent amongst other things so I can get into crime scenes. If anything, that's taught me to pay attention to detail." She told him. "So, I take it just about everyone else in this town is a fairytale character then as well? Or are you just the special one?" She raised an eyebrow.
