Can We Fall In Love?

Addie smiled when he made the comment about going to see Star Wars next week. "Oh Richard, I'd love that idea." She said, practically beaming. She couldn't help but feel like a school girl talking to her crush for the first time. When he made the suggestion about The Night Before, Addie thought about it for a second and then shrugged. "That's us to you. But I love just spending time with you and talking with you. We don't have to go to the movies tonight." She admitted. She thought about it, looking at him. "We could always go for a midnight stroll after this...what do you think?" She asked. "Or a late night swim?" She said, throwing suggestions out there.

Richard was happy to see how excited Addie was about their trip to watch Star Wars next week. At first, her was a little disappointed that she didn't want to spend the time with him at the theater tonight but that feeling disappeared when she suggested a midnight stroll or a swim. He thought it over for a moment before smiling. "A swim sounds like a great idea. It's been a while since I had a chance to get in the water anyway." he said. He had been swimming since high school and had done his best to make sure he did laps at least once a week.

Addie couldn't help but smile once more when Richard liked the swimming idea. "Wonderful!" She exclaimed. "It would be a great way to relax after a long day." She suggested to him. The idea of spending some time at her mom and Richard's home, her home away from her dorm room, was definitely something she had been wanting to do. She looked at Richard, still smiling as she sat with him. "You don't have any classes to teach tomorrow, do you?" She asked, trying to remember Richard's schedule. "Because you know I am free all day tomorrow." She reminded him, not really sure why she did.

Richard nodded in agreement. "I don't have any classes or meetings tomorrow." He confirmed happy to know that she remembered his schedule. He knew that it did not mean anything but he still felt nice knowing it. He too had memorized her schedule, pretending that he only did it as a concerned father. While he was concerned, he just liked knowing random things about her. "We could always go on that walk tomorrow." He suggested, raising an eyebrow. Even if she declined, he would still be happy they got to spend this night together. The waitress came back by with their food and he thanked her before taking a big bite of his burger.

(Sorry was a busy week for me at work. I have off these next two weeks, so I've been wrapping some things up. Thank you for your patience.)

Addie looked at Richard and just smiled. She just loved the fact that she was free tomorrow and so he was he, so they would be able to just relax. "Yes, we could always go for that walk tomorrow. Tonight, I think it would a good thing to take a swim." She said before looking at the waitress. She thanked her before she began starting to eat. She watched Richard once more, not being creepy about it. There was just something about him that would get her all flustered from time to time and she wanted to figure out what to do about it. She knew that it's weird to all her stepfather to get her flustered, but she couldn't help it. As she sat there slowly eating her food, Addie made the effort to make small talk with Richard. They talked about a variety of things.
