Lincoln had been on the run now for a good few months, he had actually lost count of the days while he was hiding himself and his gift. But sadly things didn't go to plan like he had hoped, it wasn't long before things turned to shit and he lost more people that he cared and trusted. It scared him and he panicked which is why he got into contact with Avery, someone who he knew would give him a hand but Lincoln also trusted Avery to not tell anyone about where he was. He was hiding from everyone and it was becoming harder than he first assumed, it was taking a toll on him and how he had to deal with an inhuman like Slash who was killing other inhumans. But lately he had been feeling like he needed or just wanted more protection, he still wanted to help people like him or humans. He had always enjoyed helping people when they either couldn't or they just needed someone there for them, Avery had stuck by him through everything and he was worried that he wouldn't be able to keep Avery safe for much longer. Which is why he had brought up the topic of them both joining SHIELD, they had been talking about it for a week now and although Lincoln didn't like the idea he knew it would be for the best.

"You know that we can trust them, right? I know I always told you to be careful of them, but this will be good for us. This way we can continue to work on your gift, without anyone finding out." Lincoln told Avery softly as they had both agreed to join SHIELD, or at least try it out and see how they fit in with the team. If they weren't treated right or weren't welcomed into the team, then Lincoln wouldn't think twice about taking himself and Avery away from them. They had been running for a while now so they did know how take care of themselves, "Are you still sure about this?" He asked as he looked at the boy that was beside him, they were currently in a black SUV heading towards wherever the team spent their time. He didn't want to pressure Avery into making this decision because it was a big one, they had to trust everyone on the team which would be tough for him personally. He had been running from them as well, but now he had to think about Avery more than himself.
Grace smiled as she looked at Mack who was standing in front of her, they were in the work out room as Grace had asked Mack to teach her more way to defend herself. After everything that had happened she wanted to be able to fight if things came to that, which it probably will. "You don't have to go easy on me, you know I can take it." She smiled as he had taught her how to defend herself before, in fact everything she knew was from Mack teaching her. She was wearing her workout gear, basically tight leggings and a tank top with sneakers. Her blonde hair was tied into a messy ponytail, to keep it out of her eyes. She had already stretched her body so she wouldn't pull a muscle, she looked into the dark brown eyes of Mack as she took her first shot at him. He wasn't the best one to teach her, considering it would be easier for Grace if she asked someone like May. But if she was attacked than it could be from a man, and if Grace could defend herself against a strong built man than she could easily take down a female with similar body shape or height to her. However Mack easily blocked her blow with his thick arms, so Grace used her other arm and leg to continue the lesson.

They continued of practicing for a little while longer, Grace was beginning to work up a sweat as Mack was pushing her but she wouldn't think of complaining. Not only was she learning how to protect herself, but she got the chance to spend time with Mack. Not that she needed a reason to hang out with him, but it was a win-win for her. But that thought about Mack had distracted her for only a few seconds, but it was enough time for her to miss the blow that Mack was aiming at her and before she knew it Grace was laying on her back on the practice mats. Mack was hovering over her as she panted and tried to catch her breath, "Told you that this was a good idea. Now I know that I can't get distracted," She looked at him with a smile on her face, "But can we take a break now please?" She asked as she was thirsty and wasn't sure how much longer she would be able to keep going, she was getting tired and she knew there were going to be two new inhumans coming to join the team shortly. She wanted to meet them, she had met Lincoln once briefly but she hadn't met his friend yet and she was excited to have them join everyone. She had been researching and learning all about inhumans and aliens, although she didn't trust all inhumans she was interested in everything that was beginning to happen in the world.

Avery picked at a loose thread of his jeans, ripped at the knees and exposing slightly bruised flesh, a scab where he had fallen and busted his skin open and just a glimpse of a tattoo he had that curled from his thigh and teased at his knee, though part of it was gone from have scrapped his skin on the ground so hard. He'd get it fixed up, one day or another. He had to bite his tongue from saying what he really thought about Shield, he didn't trust anyone from there, not that it was personal, he didn't trust anyone for that matter, it had taken him months to trust Lincoln and even then he tended to keep his guard up around the other, even though his parents who had past helped Lincoln hide with Avery trusted the blond wholeheartedly. Letting go of the thread he had been tempted to pull out and ruin the rest of his jeans Avery glanced over to the other, his face neutral as he nodded,"Sure as I can be" he answers, looking away again and at the black window, not able to see outside because of the heavy tint.

He wasn't in favor of joining Shield, even if this team will have people like himself and Lincoln, he wasn't in favor of fighting if he was honest. He full well knew how to, his parents being 'private contractors' as a fancy way of saying ex-agents of some South American agency who now worked for the highest payers. They had taught him well on fighting before he even knew he had this 'gift', if he would even call it that. "Think your judgment is rather clouded there Sparky, bet you only trust because of this Daisy gal you've been telling me about," He quips, his eyes sharp as he sent Lincoln a 'look'. He's heard plenty of Daisy, had been there when Lincoln spoke with her over the phone. He lacked interest in meeting her just like he lacked interest in being in Shield, but hell if he was going to let Lincoln go by himself, it wouldn't sit well in his stomach if he had just let the other go like that. The car took a sudden halt, the glass between the back seat and the driver lowering,"We're here" the driver announced before the car doors unlocked.
Mack chuckled as he looked down at Grace on the dusty blue practice mats, new yet worn through and through from the constant amount of agents coming in and out and practicing, tumbling and falling with the mats to cushion their fall."I'm pretty sure you ought to know you shouldn't be distracted as a ground rule during fighting" He tells her, his voice teasing as he grabbed two of the clean face towels on a rack and tossed one at her while he used the other to wipe the sweat off of his head and then over his smooth head. He was always glad to build up a sweat, get his blood running and pumping, and he was also glad to help Grace when she wanted to train, admiring her interest and devotion to it even though she was a doctor and would most likely not be on the field considering if she got hurt then there would be no one to save everyone else's ass when they got injured as well. Thing was she was getting better and better each session, and if she kept it up she could possibly be at the same level as Bobby, but only if she kept at it considering how it has taken many of them countless of hours to get to the swiftness and strength they were at now.

"Let's go get some sandwiches, this is enough training for today" Mack gives her a nod as he reaches down and grabs her hand, easy pulling her up to her feet. Today was going to be eventful, with the two new inhumans joining the team there was going to be a lot to be done. They would need to have a session with the psychiatrist for their mental health and then have to go through some blood work and physical test to see their body strengths and what they would need to work on with their powers though it was already known that Lincoln was far off with his abilities considering his time at 'Afterlife'. Mack drapes the towel around the back of his neck as he packs away a few items into his gym bag which were just his thick gloves and bandages he wraps around his hands when he's going to beat the heavy weight bag. "You've been getting better, keep it up and maybe one day you'll get to defeat the Cavalry"

Lincoln could tell that Avery wasn't thrilled about this, he wasn't sure if it was the right move for them or not yet. But considering an inhuman was killing others, he felt like this would keep them alive. He rolled his eyes at the comment about Daisy, he had told Avery about her because she also had to learn how to use her powers and how to control them. Which meant Avery could as well, once he realised that his gift was in fact a gift and not a curse. "My judgement isn't clouded, Daisy is just a friend and someone like us. My head is clear," He assured the boy sitting beside him in the strange car, he sat there for a few seconds when the car came to a stop. "Just try to be nice," He grinned as he climbed out and looked around, he took in his surroundings and waited until Avery was standing beside him. "This will be fine," He murmured mostly to himself, he wanted this to work out. He was tried of not trusting people and being hunted because he just happened to have powers, he never asked for this and if he had the chance he would be a normal human being.

He saw Daisy walking over towards them, "Hey... this is Avery, Avery this is Daisy." He introduced them but saw how uninterested Avery looked, a small grin formed on his face when Daisy gave them both a warm welcome even though Avery wasn't returning it. It was just how he was and Lincoln knew that, he sometimes forgot that no one else knew how Avery could be. "Thanks for letting us come here," Lincoln wanted things to go smoothly, he needed to find out if these people could be trusted because he let himself get comfortable. He watched as the driver carried their bags away for them, apparently they weren't going to be settling in right away. "Of course, we weren't going to turn either of you away." Coulson spoke as he walked over to the new inhumans that would be joining them, "It's nice to finally meet you, properly." He gave his head a small nod as he had only met Lincoln briefly, "Daisy will show you both around. But for our safely I will ask you to see our lovely doctor Grace, and a good friend of mine Dr. Garner" Coulson mentioned which Lincoln knew was coming, it only made sense to see where they were mentally and physically but he still wasn't looking forward to having tests done. "That's fine," He told Agent Coulson so it would keep him happy, he then gave Avery a gentle nudge before he begun to follow Daisy around the SHIELD quarters as she showed them around.
Grace took the towel and wiped the swear from her forehead and neck, "Yes. I do know that, I won't make a habit of it." She smiled as she reached her hand out for Mack to take, she felt her body being pulled back up onto her feet with ease with Mack's strength. "Sounds good to me," She smiled draping the towel over her shoulder as she walked out of the room with Mack beside her, she glanced up at him and shook her head lightly. "Coulson would never allow me out on the field, you know that Mack. Who else would stay here waiting for the team to return, and to treat anyone who got hurt?" She told him as she didn't like waiting around while the team were out on a mission or task, she really didn't like having to wait to see if Mack was alive and safe. Not that she ever told him that, which she should considering she had nearly lost him when she found out that he was secretly undercover with Bobby. It had hurt as he never told her and she thought they were close friends, but her mind didn't take long to change when he came back to the team when they were getting attacked by Daisy's mom and other inhumans. A lady who could make forms of herself had found Grace hiding in her lab, Grace had fought as hard as she could but it was three against one and Grace was suffering before Mack saved her.

They walked through the hallways until they arrived at the kitchen, she grabbed two water bottles from the fridge and handed one over to Mack before she pulled out ingredients to make them both some sandwiches. "Besides I've only trained with you, I'm sure May or Bobby would push me harder." She did know that Mack did go slightly easy on her whenever they practiced, he still taught her a lot but when they would train he always softened his blows and never let her fall with full impact. It was only a few minutes before she placed two plates down on the table, she sat on a chair and started to eat her sandwich. "I also don't know if I'd be able to fight someone else, I don't want to hurt anyone. I became a doctor to help people and make them better," She had always wanted to be a doctor, her parents were just normal people but supported Grace with whatever she wanted to do. Grace had always pushed herself through high school so she would be ready for medical school, she actually first met Mack when her car had broken down at night in a storm. She had graduated from medical school and was searching for a job, Mack had been returning home after finishing work and stopped to help her out. It was a few weeks after that when Grace took a job to work with SHIELD, and she found out that Mack was an engineer for SHIELD.

Avery just hummed in faux agreement, if Lincoln said there wasn't anything then fine, there wasn't anything but Avery was gonna think otherwise till he gets some proof so he could shut his mouth. He scoffed, slightly offended that the other even needed to tell him to be nice! "I am always nice, when have I ever been rude?" He asks although there had been a handful of times that he could have come across as rude to others even though he liked to say he was more 'straight forward' and honest than rude, it wasn't like he meant to come across that way, he was honestly quite nice to the bone but his lack of words to describe how he felt didn't help. He followed the other out of the car, his eyes flickering from wall to wall and face to face, quickly taking in his surroundings and the items near by before he stepped over to be beside of Lincoln, giving Daisy one glance before he was looking off elsewhere, an escape if things went to shit but that was just his own mind playing tricks on him and making him think the worst of.

"Hi" he greeted simultaneously Daisy and the older white man.

He wasn't interested in meeting any sort of Doctors merely because he didn't like meeting people in general but what was the harm in speaking with some Doctors and having test done anyways? Feeling the other nudge against him Avery looked back over to Lincoln as the other followed Daisy before he himself started to move his feet quickly to catch up, his eyes betraying him as he subconsciously gazed his tired eyes down Lincoln's back, catching himself before he made a satisfying noise of admiration. He hates boys. He kept count of faces as they were showed around, a pretty blonde blonde with some British or foreign guy trialing behind her, other random people that didn't stand out to him, a Asian lady with the most haunting gaze, some more random faces. "That's Fitz-Simmons" Daisy dots off pointing to the two in the lab through the glance window. This time Avery is unable to stop himself from quirking his brow and giving a hum of appreciation,"That guy is really, really cute" he says quietly, more under his breath but loud enough. That's a face he's definitely going to remember.
The man rose a brow before smiling, nodding his head as he continued with the conversation, taking big gulps of his water till the bottle was empty and he tossed it into a trash bin with a recycle sign on it and the color blue, some thing one of the scientist were blabbing about recycling and helping our planet and a bunch of other stuff before the facility made the switch to recycling all of their items from plastic bottles to expensive and rare metals and even cracked or useless guns. "May would have no sort of mercy on you, she's a tough one, easily kick my ass if she really wanted" He always had to hand it to Agent May, looks were always deceiving, as big as buff as he was he was sure that if it came to him and May May would win. Perhaps he could take Bobby on, they sometimes tended to train with one another and spot each other at the gym but of course they never came down to bare fist.

"If it ever comes to it, you know you'll have to hurt someone, to protect yourself" Mack took a seat in the large kitchen, it seemed like a small cafeteria if anything, a couple of tables strewn around with a few chairs to each for the workers to sit don at and enjoy their meals, it was spacious at least."Thanks" He gives her a nod of appreciation before he eats his sandwich, feeling satisfied and a bit worn out from their training, and it felt good to fill his stomach after such a sweaty event. He was glad he had the 'day off' so to speak, which honestly was just a couple of hours for free time as the team planned out their next missions and kept doing their normal routine like training. "Going to have two more super rangers on the team, hope they can do their job well" he says gruffly, catching sight of Daisy's head from the mirror reflecting the hall, somewhere near the Lab.

"I remember every time that you have been rude," Lincoln spoke softly as he followed Daisy with Avery not too far behind them, he looked at everyone that Daisy pointed out. Now he could put faces to names, as Daisy had mentioned her team to him before. A slight frown appeared between his brows when he heard the murmur that Avery spoke about quietly to himself, glancing behind him he noticed where Avery was looking. Lincoln turned to look in the direction and saw Fitz and Simmons, but it was obvious who Avery was more interested in. Something didn't sit well with Lincoln when he caught who Avery was checking out, he wasn't sure why he cared but he did. He would admit that he had tried to develop feelings for Daisy, she was nice enough and she was pretty but there just weren't any feelings for her on his end. He had no idea how she felt about him, but there was something about Avery that drew Lincoln in which he couldn't explain but he wasn't pushing the feelings away either.

He continued to follow Daisy as she walked, he walked into the spacious kitchen and saw the tall man that he had seen a few times before. "This is Mack and Grace, our doctor." Daisy smiled as she was glad that Lincoln had finally listened to her and agreed to join SHIELD, but she hadn't been expecting Lincoln to bring a friend with him but she was open to helping any inhuman that needed help from someone who knew what they were going through. "Hi, nice to meet you both." Lincoln gave them a small wave although it was clear that Mack wasn't happy to see him there, he didn't blame anyone who was unsure about inhumans because he would feel the same way if he didn't have his gift. Some inhumans were using their gifts for bad purposes, but not every inhuman was that way and not every one wanted to hurt people. He was certain that if he and Avery stuck around then they would be able to change minds or open minds of people who don't trust them.
Grace smiled as she could imagine May kicking Mack's ass, in fact May could probably kick anyone's ass even if they were the toughest or strongest person around. May had a way of finding weak spots and targeting them, or she just fights until she does win and Grace had no idea how May could keep going in a fight. "I know, I don't plan on asking May to train with me." She smiled as she ate her sandwich and drank her water, "Maybe. Or I could wait until you come to save me again," She smiled at him even though she knew that if it came down to it, there may be some times where she would need to fight someone to keep herself alive but she wasn't looking forward to it. She sighed softly as she looked at him, "I thought we made the deal to be nice to Lincoln and his friend." She gave him a 'look', the look that told him that he had to be nice to the new guys that were going to join the team. She felt similar to Mack about all the inhumans, but even inhumans were people and deserved to be treated equally. It isn't their fault that they had powers.

She smiled widely when Daisy brought the two new team members into the kitchen, "Hi. It's good to meet you both finally, Daisy has told us a lot about you." Grace smiled warmly at them, "This must be a lot to take in. But we're all really nice here and we want you both to be here," She told them and glanced over at Mack, so he would agree with her and welcome the two inhumans into the team. She would let them settle in before she started to run tests and give them a check over, she didn't want to overload them when they just arrived because that wouldn't be fair on them.

Avery was so, so tempted to enter the Lab and smile at that pretty, pocket sized boy. He bet the other was nerdy as heck, Avery's willing to listen to that cutie blab his mouth about the molecules of space or whatever the fuck he was interested in and knew about. Taking a sharp breath in Avery ripped his gaze away from the guy's charming face and followed after Lincoln and Daisy, quickly having to catch up with them before he just gets left behind, not that just standing there and admiring that cute face would be so bad of time spending. Fuck, he felt like he was going to be knocked right out of his body, he has never met a man or woman as tall and thick as the handsome guy in front of him right now, god he was humongous! Avery was going to die here, between that cute nerd in the Lab and this giant hunk of beef cake he was going to fucking rot.

He could just feel his blood boil inside of him, he was going to melt into a puddle of god and clothes in the matter of ten seconds for sure. "Hey" he greeted, a far more interested look on his face this time than when he was introduced to Daisy. He didn't say any extra though, he wasn't much of all speaker, unless you were Lincoln that is, he could talk the blondes ear off of he liked.Avery was so, so tempted to enter the Lab and smile at that pretty, pocket sized boy. "Hey" he greeted, a far more interested look on his face this time than when he was introduced to Daisy. He didn't say any extra though, he wasn't much of a talker, actions spoke louder than words but then again he didn't really express himself well physically.
Mack sighed, one that controlled his entire bodies from his sagging shoulders to his unconsciously tapping foot. He knew what she meant and he wasn't going to be rude to these people, he just didn't like all of this weird alien shit that was going on. He didn't want to fuck with some supernatural alien people who each had different capabilities as weird as turning into some giant inhuman killing monster to being able to hear sound frequencies and controlling them as well, it was just some weird shit honestly and he didn't think any of them should be messing with it. He understood that Daisy had a positive plan and so did Coulson but not everyone has good in them and they shouldn't be risking their lives for aliens of sorts that don't even see them the same."Yeah, yeah, I will snowflake" He huffed, taking another bite of his sandwich just as Daisy came in with the two new inhuman males, well Lincoln wasn't a new but new to the team at the least.

"Nice to have some new people on the team, hope you guys don't cause any trouble" Mack glanced over at Grace before looking back to the inhuman, he wasn't hateful or against them completely to the bone, he just wanted the people he cared about safe. "What are you capable of doing kid?" He then asks the one to the far left, he of course knew Daisy's ability and Lincolns as he had seen him in action in the Hospital a while back.

    "Telekinesis"

Mack's brows race before he looks at Grace and gives her a bewildered look, no fucking way he was going to fuck around with inhumans as much as he thought he would. It was unsettling how they were human and yet a step ahead with whatever gift they were given. When Grace was running test on the inhumans Mack was going to be there just in caste something would happen, he could feel his heart tremor at even the thought of Grace getting hurt again. She was quite undebatabley his favorite person at Shield, spent a good amount of his day with her when he wasn't on duty or on a mission even though they worked in different parts and areas of Shield. He obviously knew why that was and his mouth was kept shut about it because he's a Agent of Shield, not on a damn bachelor show. "You've got your work cut out for you" He tells Grace, finishing off his sandwich and now lazily taking sips of a second water bottle. He wasn't going to judge the two quickly, he knew better than that, but he wasn't going to be easy and friendly with them off the bat like old buddies, he still questioned the reason they wanted to be here.

Grace listened to Mack somewhat welcoming Lincoln and Avery to the team, she wasn't expecting much from him so what he said was enough. However she didn't know how the inhumans would take it when Mack told them not to cause any trouble, it was only because he wasn't sure about them as not all inhumans were nice people. Her brows shot up when she heard what Avery's ability was, telekinesis was impressive but only if he could control his gift which no one knew right at that moment. Although nothing was moving or floating in the air around them, so he had some control over his power. She glanced over to Mack who looked just as bewildered as she knew she would be looking at him, they hadn't come across anyone with a gift such as Telekinesis before. "Yeah thanks," She murmured quietly to Mack even though she knew that she did have her work cut out for her, not that she minded because it was going to be keeping her busy.

"I'm sure Daisy will take care of you both, just pop down to my lab when you've settled in." Grace didn't want to rush into anything, they were new here and probably felt out of place among the team so she wanted them to be relaxed while she ran her tests on them. She continued to smile sweetly as Daisy took the two males away further down the hallway, she turned to look at Mack as she kept eating her sandwich. "I'm sure they won't cause any trouble. If they came here willingly, then they must want to be here." She told him as she looked into his brown eyes, his eyes always reminded her of dark hot chocolate on a cold winter night. He was being protective which was how he was as a person, and although he may be weary of all inhumans, it should mean a lot that they came to SHIELD and weren't brought there by force. Once she finished eating she cleaned up, "I'm going to change" She spoke nudging his thick muscular arm on her way past him, she walked through the building and freshened herself up before changing into a pair of black pants and a nice shirt.

She brushed through her locks and left them down as they slightly curled around her shoulders, she walked into her lab only to find Mack was there waiting for her. "Really? Mack they aren't going to hurt me," She told him but a warm sensation filled her body, he was there for her in case anything happened and that meant a lot to her. However it also didn't help the feelings that she had developed for Mack, her feelings for him were only constantly growing.
Lincoln gave the two a small smile before he followed Daisy once more, this time they were shown the rooms they would be staying in. The bedrooms were of decent size with a comfortable looking bed, a desk in the corner and a bookshelf resting against the wall. The walls were blank and bland but that is what Lincoln had been expecting, their bags had been left in front of the built in closet. "Thank you again for all of this, we'll get unpacked and then we'll go see the Doctor." He told Daisy as he just wanted to be left alone with Avery for a while, it had all been lot to take in. So he smiled as he watched Daisy walk away before he turned to face Avery, "Do you still want to be here?" He asked wanting to know what the boy was thinking, he still wanted to be there but he would leave if Avery didn't like it there or felt threatened.

"If we're staying here, then you can't go scaring Fitz away. You can be pretty forward when you want to be," Lincoln looked at Avery while also hoping that Avery didn't go after Fitz, who he was certain was straight and was far more interested in Simmons. "We should go see Grace shortly, might as well get these tests over and done with. We can go together," He spoke before stepping back into his new room, it was beside Avery's. He unzipped his bags and begun the task of unpacking, which he never enjoyed but it was something he had to do and it would make the room feel more like his own. He wasn't looking forward to have any tests done or to speak with someone who would be judging him, but it made sense and he had known it would be coming. Coulson wasn't going to have anyone join his team that he didn't trust, or who had issues that would cause trouble or danger for the rest of the team.

Mack dismissed himself right after Grace, heading to his won room so he could fake a quick shower so he was freshened up and then change into a tight black short sleeve shirt where his biceps bulged out and a comfortable pair of blue jeans. He thought about going for another sandwich but figured he was best off just heading to the Lab now and then getting some extra food later on after the check up on the inhumans is done. Closing his room door he made his way to Grace's lab, taking a seat at the side so he wouldn't be in the way but his presence will still be known. Crossing his arms over his chest Mack waited for someone to arrive, glad it was Grace who did. He scoffed when she said the inhumans weren't going to hurt her, "May not be on purpose but what if that boy can't control himself and sends a box flying at your head? I'll be here-just in case"

He felt that nothing bad was going to happen if he was honest, Lincoln could very well control his ability, what he had done at the Hospital was expertise of his gift but Avery there was new and although he wasnt sending shit flying through the air at the moment maybe but what if Grace did something by accident the boy didn't like? They didn't know him, what if he didn't like his shoulder being touched? Who knew. "What sort of test are you going to run on them" he asks curiously.
    -
"I'm fine" Avery gave Lincoln the most heated look ever possible, as if he could burst the other into flames. He was not going to scare Fitz away, nope, no, he might not even trail after the other if he was honest, as much as he would like to Avery wasn't the best in even attempting a relationship. He's never even had a boyfriend before, too emotionally stunted to really like someone but he has very comfortably fucked around with guys in college but never got to actually kissing anyone, feeling like that was too personal to do with just anyone. Grabbing his bag he walked I to his new room and left it at the side. He wasn't going to unpack. He didn't feel like he should, this wasn't home and if he had to go he would have his few belongings in his duffle bag ready to go. Instead he walked around the room, eyeing the few items in there and touching the wall, checking for cameras or any gadgets without it looking like he was. His parents always touch him to check his surroundings, to never feel uncomfortable someone that wasn't actually home.

He knew he wasn't going to sleep very well or even at all here.

Feeling like he spent enough time just wandering the room and finding there wasn't any cameras around Avery left the room and walked right into the one Lincoln was in. "Hey, need some help? " he offers, going over and helping even without the others response, just needing to do something with his hands. When he got fidgety he tended to not be able to control himself and things started to float around. "Glad we're doing this together, can't think of how good I'd be if I didn't have you hovering over me"

Lincoln glanced over at Avery who had begun to help him unpack his belongings, "I'm not hovering over you. I'm sure you'd be fine in time, and you will be. Give these people a chance and you might even grow to like some of them," He looked at Avery as he folded his pants and placed them on the shelves inside the closet, he knew how much Avery didn't trust people and it wasn't easy to gain his trust either. Lincoln knew that Avery only begun to trust him because his parents trusted the blonde, it would take a long time for Avery to feel even slightly comfortable in the team but there was a chance that one day he could. "But I am glad that you're here with me, I don't know if I could do this on my own." He admitted honestly as he liked having Avery there with him, not only would he have someone he trusted and knew how he was feeling. But he just enjoyed his company, which had surprised Lincoln as the young boy was different to most people he had met in his life.

"We should get to the Lab, after the tests are done maybe we could make some food in the kitchen." He suggested as he was getting rather hungry after the drive they had taken where the driver didn't want to stop, he just wanted to get the tests over with so he wouldn't feel so worried about them. This would be done anywhere they went but Lincoln still wanted to get it over and done with, having worked in a hospital himself he knew the tests that the doctor here would be doing so he was somewhat prepared for them. Leaving some belongings still in his bag, he placed his hand on Avery's shoulder and guided the boy towards where he thought the Labs were. Daisy had shown them so many places and rooms that Lincoln wouldn't be surprised if he got lost, but somehow they ended up at the correct lab as he could see the doctor and Mack already inside the room.
"He won't send a box flying at my head," Grace told Mack even if she couldn't be certain that Avery wouldn't accidently move things in her lab, but if something did happen then she felt safe with Mack there. She pulled some files from her drawers so she could take notes and keep the test results in the folders, "I'll run a number of blood tests and give their body a scan." She told him writing the boys' names on the folders, "I thought you weren't interested in doctor stuff." She smiled remembering all the times when he looked bored when she talked to him about work she's done in her lab, not that it ever stopped her from telling him whatever she wanted or what was on her mind. He always survived. She smiled when she saw the two inhumans step through the door and into her lab, "Hi. Thanks for coming down so quickly, these tests won't take long." She told them both as she pulled on her white coat and buttoned it up over her own clothes, she started off with Lincoln and drew several tubes of his blood before getting a few scans of his body.

"I told you it wasn't going to be bad," Grace smiled as she carefully placed the tubes of blood into a machine before she turned around and sent a warm smile at Avery, "Are you ready?" She asked looking at the male inhuman as she replaced her gloves with a new pair, she could feel the nerves bubble inside of her as she didn't know what to expect from Avery and that did make her nervous. She glanced over towards Mack just to make sure that he was still there and close by if something where to happen, she waited until Avery sat on the examine table where Lincoln had been not long ago. She started with drawing blood from Avery's arm, which went by as smoothly as it could. She then got him to lay down as she placed a scanning machine over him so she could see inside his body, just to make sure everything was normal there.

Avery smiles just the slights bit, a soft twitch at the corner of his mouth as he commits those words into his head and plans to use them over Lincoln some other time they weren't seeing eye to eye. Finishing off the shirt he was folding and placing it into a drawer Avery nods as he gets up, stretching his arms above his head while following after the other, quite a bit hungry himself though that wasn't a surprise.

Mack just made a noncommitting grunting sound of agreeing if it could even be taken as that. She may not think it would happen but he's here just in case, and well, he just wants to spend a bit more time with her considering that when he was on missions he barely even got to hear her voice for days. That just sucks. "I'm not but can't help but to be curious" he tells her with a shrug of his broad shoulders, leaning against the counter as he spoke with her, his eyes travelling after her every movement. Once the boys came in things went rather quickly and smoothly at that. Mack highly doubted there would be any actual trouble caused since he knew Coulson wouldn't just left inhumans in here and endanger his people like that. He kept quiet most of the time, just watching Grace work and draw blood, image on the screen flashing with words and numbers he didn't really understand very much. It was boring if he was going to be honest, which he always was, but watching Grace do her thing was worth it.

Avery is quiet the entire time, just looking at the items around him and glancing between those items and Lincoln's face. He doesn't go to any sort of Doctor very often, and when he does there's nothing too important being said besides 'your iron is too low, you should eat more foods with that in it' and some other very minor things that never meant anything big or life threatening. He's always had decent experiences and never got nervous so it was easy when Doctor Grace called him over and took his blood. He just watched her work, the way her blonde hair dances over her shoulders when she's leaning forward and how she seemed rather friendly and calm with him. Mack seems to have the same flow or thoughts and ideas as he watches Grace, maybe a little distracted by how she's so intent in her job and how he dos it so well and it shows.

Mack frowns as he catches sight of a pencil on the table over start to float, and then a clipboard in the right corner of the room. "Kid you better watch yourself" He huffs, standing up from the chair that he had gotten accustomed too. Avery had just gotten bored which meant he began to fidget with having nothing to do with his hands, and that just leads to his mind wandering and object floating. He wasn't ever violent, things just tend to defy gravity when he fidgets or sleeps, just hang about in the air before slowly dropping back down.

"Fuck off" Avery grumbles, unable to make the objects drop since he was still fidgeting with the hem of his shirt as he laid down under the scanning machine.

Grace smiled warmly as she was almost finished with Avery's testing, she hadn't actually noticed the pencil or the clipboard floating into the air. So Mack's deep voice caught her off guard, turning she looked over at him as he was now standing. "It's alright," She assured both Mack and Avery, nothing was flying towards them so Grace covered Avery's right hand with her own and gave a gentle squeeze. It was obvious to her that items were being to float up into the air because he was bored, his fingers with fidgeting with the hem of his shirt and it was a dead giveaway. "Don't worry, we're nearly finished." She told Avery as the scanning machine moved over his entire body but it raised up away from Avery when it was finished, all the information and scans were instantly sent to her laptop which was sitting on the desk across the room from them.

"Will you give him a break," Lincoln spoke up as he looked over at Mack, he took steps closer to Avery even though Grace seemed to be calming the situation down. However he still didn't like how quickly Mack had jumped up from the chair he was sitting on, how fast he became defensive over Avery's gift. He kept glancing back and forth between the tall solider and over to his friend, just in case anything went further and he had to step in. He knew that Avery was bored and that is why his gift kicked in, it also happened while he was sleeping which Lincoln found interesting and it was rather cute although he doubted anyone else would think like that.

Grace looked over at Mack in hopes it would calm him slightly, no one was in any danger and she didn't want the two male inhumans to feel unwelcome here. "Were did you grow up?" Grace asked looking at Avery as she took her hand away and took a step back from him, so he would be able to climb off the examination table as she had finished with them both. But she wanted to know more about them, even though she would have plenty of time to talk to them. She just wanted to make sure they felt like they belonged there, which she thought they did and Coulson wouldn't have invited them here if he also didn't believe they could help the team.

The more Lincoln was around Grace, the more he grew to like the Doctor. Daisy had told him about everyone on the team and she had gotten the description of Grace perfectly, at least she was giving them a chance before judging them first without getting to know them.

    Avery's fingers twitched.

Mack didn't sit back down, not till the items suddenly fell from the air with a hard clicking sound and then everything was back to normal after Lincoln had spoken up. He didn't know what was with this kid or why it happened but he wasn't in favor of any of this supernatural crap, even less since he didn't know much about it besides that it existed. Letting out a huffing sound from his chest Mack slowly took his seat back, still on alert and practically half off it, ready to berate the kid if it happens again. He was just content that the items didn't start flinging across the room and clattering against the walls and people. He wasn't sure what Grace was seeing or why she seemed so calm about it but if she seemed to be okay with it, then Mack was going to be calm as well. She was a Doctor after all, she could see and read things differently than he could.

Avery glanced up at Lincoln, trying to focus in on the other rather than anything else, trying to connect himself back from that bit of a bored daze he was in. He hadn't meant for that to happen, it was honestly something he could not control for the life of him as as much as he tried and focused in on it. He knew he just didn't have complete control over his abilities yet but having Lincoln be around and teaching him had helped plenty and somehow, some weird way when Avery focused on Lincoln, on his voice, his face, anything of the other it helped calm him down and bring him back from whatever he had been feeling. Avery is honestly harmless, a little too harmless when it came to his gift. If it was down to fighting he could throw a really nasty punch, but when it came to being an inhuman he used his ability to be the laziest potato he could be, floating cups from the kitchen into his hand so he didn't have to get up, drifting a blanket over his body with his hands where on his phone, even lifting a grilled cheese to his mouth so he could focus on tv.

Once he sat up Avery shrugged, fixing the hem of his shirt as he swung his legs over the side and got off of the table."Latin America" he told her. His past and anything to do with him on a personal level were completely off limits, with his parents being independent contractors he never let out any information that could ever relate back to them in any way. He was always as vague as he could be. They were completely off the grid, he was off the grid unless he was using a fake name and background like he had been when he was in the hospital months back. Although he knew the Director would have some information on him he doubted he'd just go leaking it out since his parents have helped Shield plenty of times before, willingly of course and privacy was a big thing for them. Lincoln was probably the only one who knew Avery was born and raised in Old San Juan.

Mack gave the kid a look, eyes narrowing and wondering why he couldn't just say a country or state. He wasn't going to push it, he didn't want to seem unfriendly with the new comers especially in front of Grace. He said he was going to be good with them and he was, but he was also going to continue being on his feet and on high alert till he felt like he could trust them as well. It could take months or it could take a few days, it just depended on the way they showed themselves.

Lincoln didn't move away from Avery until he watched the pencil and clipboard fall back down, he listened to Avery answering the question that Grace had asked. It did seem a little cold of Avery, but Lincoln knew that he wasn't being that way on purpose. If the doctor had known about Avery's parents then she would have understood why Avery always kept personal issues to himself, it was to keep himself and his family safe from any dangers that could happen if people knew. So he thought it would be better if he took Avery away before anything else was asked which Avery wouldn't be able to answer openly. "I'm pretty hungry, we'll see you later." He spoke glancing over at Mack and Grace, "Thanks for this." He thanked the doctor before he stepped out of the lab with Avery close behind him, he walked in the direction of the kitchen so he could make them both something to eat. He also wanted to take a break, he felt like he had to be on his best behavior and it was tiring and he could only imagine how Avery was feeling when he didn't really want to be there.

"How are you feeling? I thought it would be best, if we left before anything more was asked about you." Lincoln explained himself even if he didn't need to, Avery wasn't the most outgoing person around and he didn't want something to be said or taken the wrong way and for that to ruin their time with the team. If something did happen, it was obvious which side the whole team would be on and that wouldn't end well for himself and Avery. If one of them left then so would the other, they came as a pair now and nothing was going to change that. As they found the empty kitchen, Lincoln went straight to the fridge and searched around until he found something for them to eat. "There's left overs, or I could make some sandwiches." He spoke not knowing what Avery was in the mood for, he honestly didn't care as long as he got something into his stomach.
Grace nodded her head, "Of course. We'll see you around," She smiled as she watched the new men leave her lab, once they had left she turned to look at Mack. "Should I have not asked him that?" She looked at the man who was still alert, she didn't know why Avery had been so closed off. They were there to join the team, Grace had always been an open friendly person so she wanted to know everyone. Sometimes she doesn't realise that not everyone is like her, she looked up at Mack with her big blue eyes as the smile faded from her face. "I thought they'd want to know the team, I guess they've had a long day." Her voice softened as she looked away from him, turning she placed the tubes of Avery's blood into the machine and pressed a few buttons so the machine would begin to work. "Was I too forward?" She asked Mack as he was always honest with her, if she had done something wrong or right then he would let her know.

She didn't want to scare the inhumans away because she was forward with them, they had just arrived so Grace should have known they would want some space. But she went right in and would have continued to ask them both questions, they seemed like they couldn't leave her lab quick enough. Or it was her mind just over thinking the situation which she did tend to do.

Avery didn't question the abrupt way Lincoln had managed to finish them from the other two, was more than glad for it as he didn't do too well being in a group. He preferred being a pair, just like how he and Lincoln were and they worked together better than anyone could think. Following after the other into the kitchen area Avery plopped down onto a seat and crossed his legs out in front of him by his ankles, leaning back and tilting his head so he could look up at the florescent ceiling lights that didn't cast the nicest shade of white over the room but Lincoln somehow managed to still look good, not that Avery is even shocked. Lincoln looks good in shitty hospital room lights that are dimmed for 'comfort'but instead just makes things hard to see. "Leftovers? what the fuck, no, we don't know who made it, It could taste like crap, is there cheese? Make me a grilled cheese, thanks" he rambles off, looking back down so he could watch Lincoln do his thing. Lincoln sure does have a nice back, good set of wide shoulders, nice bum too, Avery's mind keeps whirling in his head, gears turning till he catches himself thinking about Lincoln feeding him his grilled cheese. "That jacket looks good on you, makes you look like you have some meat" he teases, not knowing any other way to tell Lincoln he looks good without feeling vulnerable? As if Lincoln could use his looks against Avery in some way, that's be the absolute death of him.

    -

Mack watched them walk out the door and their bodies disappear. He wasn't sure what to think of them. They seemed alright, weren't hostile or rude towards either of them even though Avery seemed a bit pinched but Mack just had a feeling that the boy was just like that. After meeting May he knew not everyone was all smiles and laughs, easy going and forward. "You were just being friendly, it's fine, just don't think that guy is very talkative" Mack said, shrugging his shoulders as he stands back up, glad that those test were over even though he wasn't even the one who had to go through them. "You've got anything to do? " he asks, sliding his fingers across the cool table, walking up towards her. He had a couple hours of free time, and there as far as he knew nothing for the team to do either so if anything he would just head to the shop and do some repairs. But as of yet he wasn't planning on doing anything, not if there was a chance he could spend more time with Grace that is. He tends to find himself always falling back to her, coming around during his breaks to see how she's doing sometimes even bringing along a breakfast cookie or her favorite bottle of juice.

Lincoln chuckled lowly in the back of his throat when he listened to Avery tell him off about even thinking about reheating the left over food, "Someone kept it. It can't be that bad, but yes I've found some cheese." He smiled grabbing the cheese and bread so he could make them both a grilled cheese, he turned the grill on so it would warm up before he placed the sandwiches underneath it. He stood by the grill so he could watch the break turn into toast, he didn't want the toast to burn so he needed to keep an eye on it. "Is that meant to be a compliment?" He grinned listening to Avery talk, "Maybe I'll wear it more often then. If you like it so much," He glanced over at the boy with his clear sea coloured eyes, he knew the teasing was meant to be a compliment but Lincoln hadn't figured out why Avery wouldn't just say that he looked nice in the jacket and end it at that. He never mentioned it or brought it up, Avery would have a reason for it and Lincoln didn't need to know that reason right now.

    -

Grace gave a small nod of her head as she removed the white coat that she always wore when she was working in her lab, "I guess so." She murmured quietly before she looked at the dark eyes that she was falling harder for every day, "Not really. The blood tests will take some time, and it's not like I need the results instantly." She told him as a smile graced her face once again, "Did you have something in mind?" She looked at him as she always enjoyed spending time with him, she made sure she had time so she could hang out with Mack. Whenever he had time off from missions that is, because when he was busy he never had time for her and she understood that. Missions were more important than her silly crush on him, a crush that she wouldn't dare let him know about. She was scared that if he knew and didn't return the feelings, it would ruin their friendship and that was the last thing she wanted to happened.
