Kaylynn got home and waved at Sam as she went inside. She shut and locked the door looking around the dark house with a sigh. She went to the kitchen and made her lunch for the next day before putting it in the fridge. She sighed and went to her room and got undressed. She went and showered. Once she was cleaned up and dressed for bed she put in a load of laundry then sat on the couch while the washer went just flipping through channels. She sighed and flipped off the tv as the washer made the done ding. She went and switched the laundry into he dryer and crawled into bed. She curled up and dreamed of days better than these where she wouldn't be alone anymore. She soon fell asleep having a perfectly dreamless night. She woke int he morning and got ready for school knowing Sam would be there later to bring over breakfast and pick her up. Sam took care of Kaylynn like no one else did. And that was why Kaylynn was so protective of her because she had a best friend who was more like her sister.
Royce chuckled as she spoke. "Oh Bailey... I don't know how you see through a phone but I think you need to get those special eyes some glasses because it does seem hat it is you who could not wait for me." he said and smiled. "I could ask you to the dance now, or I could do it later. I did have a plan but since you asked so nicely Bay I can't say no to going with you... If you want to go." he teased. It was strange to hear this straightforward declaration of intent. She wanted to go to the dance with him. It was a weird feeling honestly. "So back to smalltalk. How was your day?" he asked surprised by his actual interest in what she did after school. He had never thought farm work could be interesting but this girl made a lot of strange things seem interesting.
