Jaelyn smoothed out her hair as she waited for her vanilla latte to be finished. She was oblivious to the world, her long dark hair hanging off her shoulder and her headphones hanging out of her ears. Nestled in her arm were several rather large notebooks, resting upon her hip. She had her SAT coming up and she was frantic to pass. If she ever wanted to get out of this town she'd need a perfect score. Finally, after what felt like hours, the baristia placed her cup on the counter and without looking at her surroundings she stepped forward to grap her cup.

@ Can You Fix My Heart

Mackenzie was in a bit of a rut, not in his own opinion, but if you were to ask anyone who was near to the young man they would willingly throw him under the bus. He was twenty-five with no ambition, he was twenty-five and spent most of his days and nights piled up with friends playing some computer game; doing nothing was easier than failing out of college, or drowning himself in debt. He stood to the side of the cluttered coffee bar as he waited for his name to be called his attention currently being absorbed by the smart phone in his hand. How long had he been standing there? Before he could get too annoyed by the lengthy wait time his plastic cup was placed onto the counter. He wasn't paying much mind to his surroundings as he stepped forward to claim his purchase – which was ultimately his first mistake. His tattered shoe, that probably should have been thrown out ages ago, caught on the corner of the bar and he stumbled into another customer, "Ah, shit." He grunted as one of the cup's contents spilled onto the counter and unfortunately the small girl he had crashed into. He wanted to cast the blame onto her, because it was the easiest way out, but he knew there was no way he could turn the tables. "Sorry 'bout that." His apology was half-hearted as he offered the stranger a few crumbled napkins from the counter. "Guess I wasn't really paying much attention. You alright?"

    [ i haven't role-played in awhile so i hope this isn't awful. Crazy ]

"Shit!" Jaelyn exclaimed, the hot coffee spilling all over her white top and scalding her skin, causing her to drop her own cup. All she could think about was the burning feeling of her skin and the undeniable stain that was SURE to ruin one of her favorite tops. She took the napkins offered to her and started to blot her top as she pulled the headphones out of her ears. "Don't worry about it, that's fine. I should've been paying more attention." She stated, stopping suddenly. "Shit my books!" In the crash, Jaelyn had dropped all her school books and they were now soaked in coffee. There was no way she could salvage all her notes after this. Through this entire encounter she had yet to look at the man who had dumped his coffee on her. Looking up at him she stopped blotting and her mind blanked. Wow he's... wow.

    (Looks good :] )
