Can't Stop, Won't Stop

Once they were in the woods Derek calmed down more. He always felt at ease in the cover of the trees. He walked alongside Hailey, trying to figure out what they would be doing for the day. He glanced at her, "Let's see if we can find that small river again." That used to be their meet up spot but he knew where it was. He still visited it regularly.

Sawyer smiled wildly at his response. She couldn't believe she was already skipping class, but it was bound to happen and if a cute guy was coming along, she really had nothing to lose. She wrote back quickly. Follow my lead. She handed the note to Stiles, then she grabbed her small bag and stood up quietly. Almost everyone, including their teacher was reading. She was able to sneak out without anyone noticing. She waited in the hall for Stiles.

Hailey smiled at Derek and nodded. She couldn't believe that he still remembered about the river they used to go too back in the day. "You still go there don't you?" She asked him seeing that look.

Stiles saw her go out of the room as he took and grinned at her. He slowly got up seeing them still reading and the teacher with his back to them. He quickly made his escape and smiled at Sawyer, "Lets blow this joint." He said to her.

Derek hid his face from her. He knew he couldn't hide it though. He nodded, "I do occasionally." It was half true. She didn't need to know it was a regular thing. He smiled at her when they reached the bank. "Remember those days?"

Sawyer grabbed his hand and ran out of the school. She finally stopped at the parking. She glances around to make sure no one was around. "So, want to show me around or hang out at my place?" She questioned.

Hailey grinned at him and nodded her head to him. "All the time." She replied to him as she took and looked at the river and then turned her attention to Derek. "Remember that one time we took the string and tied it to the tree branch. Peter dared us to go out together we did and it broke before we got off the bank." She giggled at the memory.

Stiles grinned, "I can show you around." He told her smirking.

He laughed as he recalled the story that Hailey mentioned. "We always called him out on dares." He turned to look at her, his smile didn't fade. He wondered how different things would have been if she had stayed. "I'm really glad you're back." He said softly.

Sawyer eyed him. "Well take me to your car." She said. There was something different about Stiles. She could just tell he was a nice guy and she knew this day was going to be fun.

Hailey smiled at Derek and nodded her head, "I really am glad to be back too." Hailey told him as she took and stared at him a second and smiled. She looked back out at the river and smiled lightly to herself.

Stiles laughed taking her hand and leading her to his Jeep. He opened the door for her and got in himself. He started it up and pulled out heading for the woods. One place he liked to go and show her first before showing her the town.

Derek reached for Hailey's hand and laced his fingers with hers. "You should just stay in Beacon Hills." He stated simply. The running water was a soothing sound. "Maybe we should catch up today and start your training tomorrow." He smiled down at her.

Sawyer was in love with Stiles' jeep. She let her eyes roam around the car and they stopped on Stiles. She smiled at him, "How do you not have a girlfriend?" She paused, she probably should have held her tongue, but she wasn't that type of person. "I mean, you have a nice car and you're really cute."

Hailey felt his hand around hers. A smile tugging at her lips as her heart pumped harder inside of her chest. She looked at Derek and smiled as she took her free hand and cupped his cheek. Something about this spot, the water, and everything. It just brought back all the memories. The memories of them being together, and being at this spot. "I'd like that idea." She whispered lightly to Derek.

Stiles grinned at her as a blush tugged at his lips. "Why thank you!" He gloated a little. He took and smiled over at her once he had the Jeep in park. "You're really cute yourself, so how come you don't have a boyfriend?" Stiles was never this forward with anyone. But right now, he couldn't help himself. Especially not around her. Something about Sawyer just drew him in, and he loved that feeling.

Derek heard her voice and it broke him away from his thoughts. They were so happy together. But he knew being away from each other kept her alive. He glanced at her and squeezed her hand lightly. "What else do you want to do?" He asked. "We could get some food or something?"

Sawyer smiled sheepishly at the boy. "Thank you," She paused for a moment. Her exes face popped into her mind but she shook it away. "I did. He wasn't very nice, especially after I broke up with him." She looked back at the window and watched the scenery. "But that's a lesson learned." She sent him a warm smile.

Hailey smiled at Derek and nodded her head, "Food sounds really good about now." She admitted. She hadn't ate since early that morning. She was beginning to get a little hungry. She smiled at him.

Stiles gave her a light smile, "I am sorry for him being an ass." Stiles said to her. Something inside of him snapped. He felt like he could go through someone. And rip their head off their shoulders. He took and gave her a light smile before looking out the window of the Jeep. "Want to grab a bite to eat?" He asked.

(Are they going to the same place?)

Derek smiled and grabbed her hand again. He led her out of the woods and towards his car. "Anything in particular?" He questioked, opening the door for her. "It's up to you, because I can go for anything." He finished.

She smiled at him, "You don't have to apologize on his behalf." She could tell it bothered him though. His mood changed. She watched him, knowing this was out of the norm for him. A smile crossed his lips and her smile widened. "I could eat."

Hailey smiled holding to Derek's hand, "Hmmm." Hailey smiled at him as they headed back for his vehicle. "Maybe the little cafe where we use to go before.... I left." She replied to his question as she climbed up in the vehicle and buckled up. She looked over at Derek and smiled Her mind was racing as to why he chased her away. She knew his deep dark secret and everything. She still couldn't wrap her head around why he wanted her to go away though. She bit her lip deciding on to wait and ask him later.

Stiles smiled at her and nodded his head. "Anything in particular you want?" He asked her and smiled. He couldn't help but to let the mood show. The thought of a guy being abusive towards Sawyer did bug him in fact. He wanted to find the prick and rip his head off. He took a calming, deep breath and sighed lightly.

(No, I was just double checking!)

Derek drove towards their cafe. His mind was clouded with thoughts about Hailey. But the main focus was the day she left. He dreamed about that almost every night. He could still see the hurt on her face, the pain in his heart. But he did what he thought was right. It was at the time, but in the end it backfired on him. He just wanted her to be safe and he did the exact opposite.

Sawyer grazed Stiles' hand with her in an effort to calm him. "Take me to your favorite place." She said simply, sending him a warm smile. She didn't know that their conversation would upset him. But it was also nice to know that he cared.

Hailey smiled at Derek as they pulled into the parking spot of their cafe. She smiled as she slid out of the vehicle and closed the door. She walked around and went to Derek as she headed inside with him. She sat down as she stared at him a moment. She could see the pain and other emotions all over Derek's face. She couldn't help but to wonder if he was thinking of the day when she left. She thought about it alot. The pain and hurt that lied deep in her heart when he told her he wanted nothing more to do with her. She had forgiven him long ago, but at times it still hurt.

Stiles looked at her and smiled nodding his head. He took and headed to the pizza place. He pulled in as he got out and walked over to her side helping her out as he smiled at her. "Their pizza is amazing here." He told her and smiled.

Derek glanced at her and forced a smile. He could feel the tension between them grow slightly. It was only a matter of time given the circumstances of their last encounter. He got out of his car and opened the door for Hailey. He went into the diner and sat down, looking over their menu. "I don't know if I should get the usual or change it up." He said, trying to lighten the mood.

Sawyer sat down in the pizza place. It was a quaint restaurant. She glanced up at Stiles, "So, tell me something about yourself." She realized how little she knew about him. He was just so easy to get along with though, so she went along with it.

Hailey glanced up at Derek and let a small smile appear on her lips. She stared at him a second before she took and giggled. "Changing it up is always good." Hailey replied lightly to Derek smiling at him.

Stiles stared at her and smiled, "What would you like to know?" Stiles asked her.

Derek smiled at her. "It is but what if I don't like the new food?" He questioned. He chuckled lightly offering some entertainment for her. He looked over the menu, still unsure of what to get. He glanced at her but shifted his eyes back down. The longer he spent with her, the more he felt terrible.

Sawyer shrugged at him. "What makes Stiles, Stiles?" She asked, sending a smile his way. She sipped her water. "Hobbies, interests, just the basics." She continued.

Grinning ear to ear, Hailey shook her head. "Well I am going for my usual bacon burger." She smiled at Derek as she laid her menu down. She could tell by his actions something was bugging him. In her mind she kind of had an idea as to what it was. "Derek." She whispered lightly reaching across the table and taking his hand into hers. "What's bothering you?" She questioned him.

Letting a faint sigh escape his lips he stared at her. "Well, I am true and loyal to my pals. Especially my best friend, Scott. We're like brothers. He keeps me balanced out at times as I do him too." He chuckled out and smiled. "My dad is the sheriff around here. I am smart almost to genius breaking or whatever. Funny, sarcastic, and all the above." Stiles smiled at her. "Tell me a little bit about you Sawyer." He smiled.

Derek smirked as Hailey spoke, of course she would get her usual; that burger was delicious. Her smiled up at her, "Well I'll get it too." He enjoyed joking around with her. He was glad that after everything they were still able to be somewhat normal. He was taken aback when she laced their hands together and questioned his behavior. He sighed heavily, "It's just a weight on my shoulders." He didn't want to get into much but he knew she wouldn't back down.

Sawyer couldn't help but smile and giggle occasionally as Stiles spoke. She took mental notes of everything he said but the most shocking was about his father. She wasn't the best student/teenager so she may get to know him later on. She smiled, "My mom and I moved here from LA. We both somewhat needed an escape." She frowned before continuing, "My father left and tried to come back so, moving helped." She couldn't believe she told him that but it was already out. "Uh-I'm not the best at school, I'm smart, but it bores me. Hence why we're here." She flashed a smile. "Since your dad is the sheriff though, I suppose I should get my act together. I wouldn't want to corrupt you." She laughed faintly at that thought.

Raising an eyebrow at him, she was curious as to what a weight was on his shoulders. But she didn't bother to bug him anymore. She would later on. But now, she wanted to enjoy being with him again. "Ok." She replied lightly gently pulling her hand from his. She smiled seeing he was ordering what she was, she couldn't help but to giggle lightly. "Thought you were changing it up?" She winked teasing him.

Laughing lightly at her last statement he smiled at her. "Oh trust me. He says my best friend has already corrupt me." He told her as he smiled at her. "Well I am glad that you and your mom moved here." He told her and smiled.
