Thoughts on religion...?

Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on religions as young people in today's society?

Do we think it's become obsolete due to scientific advances?

Do we need it more now than ever?

Or are the religions of our past generations being shoved aside for Fandoms our newest religions...?

I think if the main religions are to survive for the foreseeable future, their leaders/most influential people are going to have to choose between updating their scriptures in order to better complement humans' knowledge of morality/ethics, and forfeiting their apparent want to interfere with the lives of those who differ in thought/belief/state.
