Dreaming of a White Christmas

Shay took and finished placing the last decoration up in her apartment. Since she'd moved here she had made a few friends. She stepped back from the tree as she looked around the apartment and smiled to herself. She couldn't believe how beautiful it looked. She loved this time of the year. It just made her more happier than she normally was. She took and grabbed her phone deciding on texting her friend, Evelyn seeing if she wanted to hang out.

Steve sat inside of the cafe with Thor. He was glad his friend was on earth but couldn't help to wonder why. He kept his thoughts to himself as he looked at Thor. He knew he didn't quiet understand the holidays. It was something Steve was going to have to show him, and knew he would love since he loved almost everything else that we all celebrated.

[Hope it's alright. ]

Evelyn finished making cookies and smiled when she put them in a container. She checked her phone an messaged Shay back letting her know she was on her way. After wrapping her self up Evelyn was on her way. Once she got to Shay's Evelyn knocked on the door. "I bought cookies"

Midgard was festive once more and Thor had come to visit. Nothing Avengers related he was visiting. He had come across Steven or Captain America as he's known to most misgardians. "How does one celebrate this Christmas of whi speak"

Shay smiled at Evelyn letting her in as she took the cookies and placed them on her island in her kitchen. "They smell delicious." Shay smiled at her friend as she took and sat down at the island with her.

Steve looked at Thor as he spoke about the Christmas celebration and all. "Well... Instead of explaining it to you. How about I show you?" Steve offered to him. "A party is going on tonight and it will definitely show you how we celebrate Christmas here." Steve smiled at his friend.

Evelyn smiled politely and walked in and set the cookies down, "your favorite. So what's this I hear about a Christmas party? I thought we didn't do that kinda thing?" she chuckled. Evelyn looked around the living room and the apartment, "very festive, I haven't finished up yet, but looks like you have." Evelyn sighed softly, thinking about her family that was out west and how she missed them. She didn't really have time to see them, with work and New York weather isn't the best during the holidays.

Thor was a little confused about what Steven was talking about, "ah, I am familiar with celebrations, we do celebrate often on victories of war and such, this is different so I am unfamiliar with most of this. Or any of midgards traditions, this will be an interesting day."

Shay smiled at Evelyn and nodded her head, "Normally we don't." She began as she got the two a glass of wine. "But I thought this year, why not change it up a little. Be more festive. Plus." She smiled setting the glass down in front of her. "I invited Steve from across the hall." She grinned widely at Evelyn.

Steve got up and looked down at Thor, "Yes it will be an interesting day." He said paying for their stuff and leaving the cafe. "The girl across from me invited me to her Christmas party. And you're going to be my plus one, Thor." Steve grinned at his friend.

Evelyn smiled and took a seat with a glass of wine " sounds like a fun plan. You invited your cute neighbor who happens to be a superhero? I knew you had a thing for blondes" she teased. Evelyn grabbed a cookie and bit into it "two single ladies at a Christmas party that will be interesting" she chuckled.

Thor stood up and smiled he wasn't used to wearing Midgardian clothing but it was a nice change. He often noticed the different attires for celebrations he would need Steve's help picking things out. "Ah, so I am what you call your date?" He joked.

Shay giggled nodding her head, "Two single ladies." She took a sip and smiled. "Actually I know my friend, who has this thing for my neighbor." She teased Evelyn and winked at her lightly as she smiled.

Steve looked at Thor and laughed slightly at his joke. "Two friends going to a party together." Steve told Thor and smiled at him.

Evelyn looked at Shay and chuckled, her cheeks burning pink. "Well, your neighbor is handsome and seems very polite. You can't blame her for having a thing." Evelyn stretched her arms, "when is this party? So I know what to wear"

Thor grinned widely, "that's too bad, I am a fun date" he followed Steve out of the cafe. "I really enjoy the food here it is very different from what I am used to. " he especially enjoyed chocolate. Thor placed his hands in his winter coat and sighed.

Shay gave Evelyn a light smile, "He is very polite." She agreed with her friend as she sat there. "Tonight actually." She grinned at her. "Make sure you wear something cute and something sexy all in one." She teased lightly winking at her friend.

Steve walked with Thor as he glanced at him, "Something bothering you big guy?" Steve questioned him as the two of them walked towards Steve's place.

Evelyn pushed some of her hair behind her ear, "I don't have anything that's cute and sexy. I have sexy and I have cute but not both. Anyway." Evelyn took a bite of her cookie. "I will have to go shopping.. better head out to make sure I have eveything"

Thor walked along with Steve quiet and trying not to think about his past too much. "Not at all. Thoughts about spending my time here and not enough back home." Thor hadn't meant to stay on midgard so long it just happened. Now Jane resented him for not caling her and they had to break things off he wasn't completely over it.

Nodding Shay smiled at her friend, "Why not go ahead and go shopping? I kind of need to find myself something to wear for the party as well." She smiled at her.

Steve grinned as he walked along side Thor. He patted his shoulder, "Well big guy. Glad you're here. It gets lonely sometimes, and having a friend. Is a lot better than spending my Holidays again alone." Steve said to Thor.

Evelyn shrugged her shoulders, "I guess I should get going then. I'll see you back here later I have a few errands to run then I'll shop." Evelyn grabbed her purse "see you" she waved before leaving.

Thor looked at his friend and smiled, "it is a good feeling to be in good company. Do you not have any living relatives?" Steven never did mention any family. Thor always wondered why.

Shay nodded her head, "Bye be safe." Shay told her friend as she exited her apartment. She went about cleaning up the apartment and fixing the decorations and such for the party. She then went about making the desserts and food for the party and putting it all in the oven that needed to be and the other into the fridge where it belonged. She smiled to herself going to get cleaned up and seeing if she had anything in her closet for this party tonight.

Steve glanced over at Thor and shook his head. To his knowledge he didn't have anyone. Or if he did, he truly didn't want to know. The Avenger's were his family now. That's all that mattered to him. "Not that I know of." Steve answered as he smiled at Thor patting his back lightly, "You and the avenger team are my family now. Truly that's all that matters." He smiled to his dear friend as they got to the apartment complex and headed up to his apartment.

Evelyn spent most of her day cleaning up and making some dessert for Shay's holiday party. Of course that was after picking up things and buying her dress. She hoped wasn't too much, "cute and sexy is that even a thing?" She asked herself. Looking in the mirror after finally finishing up Evelyn left with her dessert to Shay's place. "Shay did dress isn't too short or much right? " Evelyn asked as she approached her friend, the dress was simple enough or so she thought."as always I'm the first one here."

Thor simply nodded, "well, brother if I could I would show you my home its quite the distanxe however." Thor wondered about this celebration "your neighbor does she always host celebrations? I suppose it is a formal a fair? I must not dwell too much on this subject" he laughed.

Shay turned to see Evelyn as she done a low whistle towards her friend and smiled. "You look stunning." She said taking the desert from her and placing it on the island with the rest of the food she'd made up earlier in the day. "You look stunning." She smiled at her friend.

Steve smiled at Thor as he headed to his neighbor's apartment door. He could hear laughter and what not going on as he smiled at Thor. "Ready for your first party?" He grinned as he knocked on the door holding the bag of drinks he'd gotten for the party.

Evelyn chuckled and shook her head, "thanls. You look amazing too, I can't believe all the people who showed up. Someone is miss popular. There's like mistletoe everywhere I don't suppose you did that?" She teased. She walked around after she excused heraelf. Greeting everyone and having a laugh or two."someone's at the door" someone let Shay know.

Thor had made sure to purchase more civilian clothing for this occasion. With Steve's help he was in good shape, "Stark had one last year.. I believe this is my second" he chuckled. "I brought more of that drink too though like I said before. Not really for common mortal men" he chuckled.

Smiling ear to ear Shay watched everyone having a good time. She heard the doorbell as she walked over and pulled the door open. She was greeted by a hug from Steve and smiled. "Glad you could make it. Come on in." She said stepping aside. She smiled seeing the other man with Steve and felt her cheeks redden. She knew him as Thor. She smiled at him as the two walked in and pushed the door up.

Steve smiled at Thor and chuckled once they were inside of Shay's apartment he followed her and placed the drinks down where she showed him. "Looks like you had a good turn out, Shay." He smiled at her as he made small talk before going off to greet the other people with Thor. "First or second doesn't matter. You're here with me buddy." Steve grinned at him.

[Hate it lol. Boooo! Early spring? Pshhh groundhog lied! Lol]

Evelyn was grabbing a drink as she made her way around the room. She looked up when Shay's neighbor turned up. She was suddenly feeling a little shy so she made her way back to the kitchen. She bit her lip, Evelyn had met him once and it was short he was off doing some mission or something.

Thor chuckled as he walked with Steve they we're both bigger than the average man. His sight was captivated by the beautiful woman who had opened the door. He didn't want to get too close to another woman long distance didn't work out last time. Something about this one just caught his interest. "Of but of course. I enjoy your company"

Steve grinned at Thor shaking his head lightly. He spotted the woman that had been on his mind for some time. He took and excused himself from his friend and walked towards where Evelyn was in the kitchen. "Evelyn right?" Steve asked as he smiled at her.

Chatting with a few colleagues from work, Shay smiled as she excused herself from them. She got two drinks from the island and headed over to Thor. She smiled stopping in front of him, "I thought you'd might like a drink." She offered to him.
