Crazy in Love

Jimmy rolled over and looked at her. He nodded his head and got out of the bed following her downstairs. Jimmy took and smiled at her as he went down the stairs one by one with her.

Katherine showered and dried her hair. She brushed it out and pulled it into a messy bun. She slipped into a sleeved top and some jeans as she put some perfume on just in case. She took and headed downstairs and to the kitchen waiting on Matt.

Candace made her way down to the kitchen and saw Katherine waiting there. She grinned and went up to the other girl, looking around to make sure no one was around before she spoke. "Are your plans going as well as mine are?" she asked. She smirked. "I've got Jimmy wrapped around my little pinky finger already. He kissed me while we were in bed earlier. This is going to be way too easy."

After spraying on a bit of cologne, Matt headed downstairs, his stomach grumbling. He found Katherine already in the kitchen, whispering with Candace, and he raised an eyebrow. "Secrets don't make friends, ladies," he said. "Especially not around here, in this business." He went over to the fridge and pulled out the package of hamburger meat to use for the hamburgers. "If you girls could make up a salad to go with the burgers, that would be great."

Jimmy heard Matt and sighed. "They may be sharing girl gossiping news." Jimmy growled at Matt. Jimmy grabbed some of the stuff and headed out to the grill with Matt. "I kissed her." Jimmy told Matt.

Katherine began preparing the salad and looked at Candace. "I am getting feelings for him. Deeper than they should be." Katherine replied to Candace lowly.

Candace frowned at Katherine's words. She laid her hands on the counter, leaning forward and looking at her friend. "Don't say that," Candace said, a little sternly. "We have job to do, Kat. You can't have real feelings for Matt. He's a criminal. So just...forget how you feel about him. Think about him as a job, which is what he is."

"I really don't fucking care what they're whispering about, I don't like it," Matt growled back. He might be developing feelings for Katherine, but he barely knew either one of them and he didn't like people whispering like that, not in this line of work. It was dangerous. "Well I kiss Katherine," Matt said. "So I guess we're both in the same boat."

Jimmy looked at Matt and sighed running his hand over his face. He could tell that Matt had feelings for Katherine badly. He kept to his self and helped Matt out with the food and set the patio table as he took and hummed along to a song that he had in his head.

Katherine looked at Candace shaking her head, "You're right." Katherine mumbled but knew she couldn't push past the feelings. She had never felt like this ever, and she wanted nothing more than to be with Matt. No matter what her job was. She finished up the salad and grabbed the dressings and walked out placing it on the table along with silverware.

Candace watched Katherine walk outside and sighed. She knew the other girl well enough to know that she was probably lying. And this worried Candace. If Katherine got too mixed up with Matt, things could go very wrong very quickly. And Candace didn't like getting shot for nothing.

Matt looked away from the grill when he heard someone step outside, seeing Katherine bringing the salad outside. "Hey, did you want cheese on your burger?" he asked. "And could you go find out if Candace and the other guys do? Thanks," he added, smiling.

Jimmy saw Candace and smiled at her, "Hey you want cheese on your burger?" He asked her with a smile. He took and stood placing the keg of beer on the ground for them to drink out of while they were out here eating.

Katherine found the rest of the men and got the yes and no's to Matt's question. She took and walked back out and smiled at Matt, "They all do but Johnny." Katherine replied handing him the slices of cheese.

"Uh yeah, I'll take some cheese," Candace said. "And some bacon, too. I love bacon cheeseburgers." She eyed the keg of beer as Jimmy placed it on the ground. She wasn't much of a beer drinker. It tasted like absolute shit to her, too much to even make it worth drinking. And with the pain medication she was on for her shoulder, she didn't need to be drinking anyway.

"Johnny's a little weirdo," Matt said, rolling his eyes playfully. He took the slices of cheese from Katherine and started placing them the burgers, one for everyone except for Johnny. "The burgers are just about done if you want to start putting buns on plates," Matt said, smiling at Katherine.

Jimmy smiled at Candace knowing what she was thinking. "What do you want to drink?" Jimmy asked smiling at her. "I'll take and go get it." Jimmy smiled at her as he placed the cups beside of the keg. "When we cookout the guys mostly want to drink so that's why we keep it here." Jimmy laughed nervously rambling. He cursed himself mentally.

Katherine smiled and nodded. She grabbed the plates and placed buns on them as she set the condiments out as well. She took and saw the guys coming out as she took and smiled at each of them.

Candace chuckled as she listened to Jimmy ramble. She had him wrapped around her finger already and she loved it. "I'm not a big fan of beer," she told him. "And I'm not supposed to be drinking anyway, since I'm on those painkillers for my shoulder. So I'll just have sweet tea."

As the burgers finished cooking, Matt started placing them on the buns that Katherine had put on the plates. Afterwards he shut the grill to help put out the flames. "Alright, burgers are done!" he called out. He grabbed a plate and handed it to Katherine, taking one for himself as he started to put some mustard on his top bun.

Jimmy chuckled lightly and nodded his head, "I'll get you some." He said getting her some sweet tea in a glass. He walked back out handing her glass to her as he got him a cup of beer. He sat down at the patio table after fixing his burger.

Katherine put the mustard and ketchup on her bun along with tomato and onion and pickles. She went inside the house grabbing her some water as she walked to the patio table. She sat down and sipped on her water watching Jimmy dive into his burger like no tomorrow.

"Thanks," Candace said, smiling as Jimmy handed her the glass of sweet tea. She went over and sat down next to Katherine at the patio table, taking a bite of her burger and sighing happily. She was starving and a good bacon cheeseburger always hit the spot.

Matt added some onion, lettuce, pickles, and tomato to his burger before going over to set his plate in front of the seat next to Katherine. He went over to the keg and got himself a cup of beer before he went back to the table, laughing as he watched Jimmy. "Damn Jim, the burger's nor going to run away from you."
