Derek knew running around town giving whatever teenager he could find the bite probably wasn't the best idea. He understood that eventually this would all probably come back around to bite him in the ass sometime in the future. But honestly, right now Derek wasn't thinking straight. He wasn't thinking like a level headed alpha would be. He was more worried about building his pack and finding a way to make himself more powerful than anything else. And he as far from level headed as he could get. It didn't matter, though. What mattered was power which meant building a pack. And he'd recently found his most recent addition. Erica. He'd already convinced Issac it was the best thing for him, and now he was here at the hospital to do the same thing with Erica. He was sure she'd accept whatever offer he gave her as well because well with his help she could finally be healed.
Lydia had spent her whole life living underwater, swimming around exploring whatever she could to keep herself busy. But it didn't make her happy. Being a mermaid didn't make her happy. So of course, it'd been an easy decision for her to give up being a mermaid forever so she could have legs and be on land. And of course giving up her memories was her choice, because the last thing Lydia wanted was to make this choice and then regret it or start to missing her tail and end up miserable because of everything she'd given up that she knew she couldn't get back. She wanted to make the best of being on land. Even if when she woke up on the beach she couldn't remember how she'd gotten there, or where she'd came from. She still knew even after waking up with no recollection of anything really aside from her name, that whatever happened next Lydia would find a way to make the best out of everything.
Sydney pushed her fingers through her hair and did her best to keep a smile on her face like she did every other day. Sure there was probably someone she could talk to thanks to the school if she really wanted to talk but she didn't. She didn't want anyone else involved in all the crap she had to deal with, and she wasn't an idiot. The second she said a word to anyone even if it was just a counselor it'd be all over the school and then there'd be no way of keeping everything to herself the way she wanted. Plus it wasn't really anyone's business. So Sydney, even though she knew everyone at school knew something was up with her, planned on keeping her business to herself like she always did. Besides, she already knew even if she did tell someone on her own what she was going through that she'd lose them in no time. Because that's what always happened. She let people in and then they'd just vanish leaving her alone in the world again.

Sophia could feel herself getting more and more frustrated the longer she sat on the hospital bed. This had been, by far, her longest stay and she couldn't stand being in the hospital for one more day, but she had to. The doctors highly doubted that she would be able to leave the hospital to go home any time soon. Sophia sighed heavily as she pushed herself up from the bed; wobbling a little when she was on her feet. She refused to accept the fact that she was sick. She was only twenty-three and she still had her whole life ahead of her. She wanted to see the world, meet the man of her dreams and have a happy life with them. She would do anything in the world just so she get out of the damn hospital and do whatever she wanted to do. Sophia dragged her feet along as she headed out of her room. She hated sitting in her hospital room and flicking through the endless stations on the television only to find out there was nothing worth watching. She liked strolling the endless hallways in the hospital and chatting to the nurses and doctors who would give her the time of day because she hated sitting alone in that room.
'I won't be in today.' Stiles sent the message to Scott as he walked slowly towards the shore line. It had been a long week and he did not want to add school on top of all the thoughts he already had. He didn't want to think of lacrosse, the homework that was due today or even that paper he's supposed to hand in tomorrow. All he wanted to think about was what he had seen in the water several days prior. He swore on his life that he had seen someone, well, something, far out in the deep blue see. He spent several minutes watching it frolic in the water, only to be disappointed when it had disappeared back under the water. He felt drawn to whatever it was even though he never caught sight of it's face; only it's tail. He wanted to know more, he wanted to know who and what it was, so he came back. He blew of school just in hopes of catching a glimpse of the mesmerizing creature again.
Scott had a lot on his mind when he had gotten to school. Stiles wasn't going to be at school and he didn't even know if he his friend was going to show up at practice. He needed to talk to his friend. He was worried about Derek since he had become alpha and he found out about Isaac. He didn't want to worry about it, but it was all that seemed to be going through his mind. Scott sighed and slammed his locker close. He tucked his books under his arm and began his walk to his next class.

In no time at all Derek had arrived in Erica's room and was standing at the end of her bed working his magic and convincing her that the bite was a gift that she wanted. Even if five minutes earlier she hadn't even know about it. Which he knew most people didn't know about it really, because even though he was a werewolf it wasn't like he ran around announcing that to the world. He also knew that if everyone did know about them or Scott were to talk to anyone about it before he had the chance to that Scott would try and convince them all that the bite wasn't a gift or whatever it was he believed. However, that wasn't the case. "Well I promise with the bite everything will change for you, for the better," he told Erica before smiling her way and getting it over with before someone came by and ruined his chance for this.
Lydia opened her eyes and looked around the beach for a moment taking everything in. Everything around her was so beautiful that she wanted to take it all in forever. Then there was the breeze, the sound of the ocean, and the water coming up over the sand just enough to cover her feet for a second before it went away again that all made her feel alive. She twirled around in the sand some with her arms stretched out just happy. It was amazing to be standing on the beach and feel the sand between her toes and the cool water wash over her feet and not have a worry in the world. Even if she knew that this wouldn't last, it couldn't last, in that moment it was amazing.
Sydney couldn't wait until she graduated and was able to leave this school without looking back. But until that day came she stuck with showing up and doing what she had to. So she made her way to her locker before class in order to switch out her books. After all, her history book wouldn't do her much good in English. "I can't believe Mr. Jameson actually wants us to work with her. Like it's our fault she doesn't have any friends. Plus how are we supposed to do a project about our family history if no one knows anything about her family," Sydney heard one of the girls in her class say as they walked by her. And she knew they were talking about her, and it wasn't like Sydney didn't want friends, she did. She wanted to be that girl who had friends or, at least, a friend she could hang out with. But she couldn't let herself get hurt again because someone else decided to walk out of her life. And it wasn't like it was easy to know about a family you don't really have.

[ah work was just bloody awful. I get to finish early tomorrow wooohoooo Crazy I am so damn tired now though haha]

Sophia could feel herself growing more tired with every step she took. She placed her hand against the wall to steady herself and push on. She hated what she was becoming. She didn't understand why this had to happen to her. She had never done anything bad in her life; always well behaved and never acted out. She wanted to cry, stamp her feet and scream about how this was unfair, but she pushed it down as far as she could. Sophia stopped walked and closed her eyes as she pressed her back up against the wall; letting out a shaky breath. Just like every other day she whispered to herself, "I will get better." Her eyes reopened and immediately found some pretty, long haired girl in a room diagonal from her. Her brows furrowed at the man towering over her. She couldn't hear a word that they were saying, but she could tell the girl looked afraid, but hopeful. She knew something wasn't right and everything in her body was telling her to run, but she stood frozen in her spot.
Stiles kicked at the small pebbles as he walked aimlessly along the shore line. His eyes were racking over the ocean in hopes of seeing something, but the longer he stared the more he knew that it was never going to happen. After the first fifteen minutes he had come to the conclusion that he could've been hallucinating, but when he saw it, it felt so real to him. He wanted to believe it was, but he was not seeing any proof that it happened. He sighed loudly as he ran a hand through his hair roughly and finally tore his eyes away from the ocean. He looked ahead of him and his head cocked to the side and his feet stopped moving. A small smile twitched at the ends of his lips when his eyes found the young girl twirling about in the sand. It almost made him feel happy about the fact he did not see what he had come to find. She looked like she had no worry in the world and he wished he could feel the same.
Scott's eyes her focused hard on his phone. He scrolled through the few messages Allison had sent him. He wished his life was like what it was before he had changed some days. He wished that he didn't have to worry about any of this werewolf business some days. It took a toll on him; he felt exhausted the more it ran through his mind. He quickly replied to Allison before locking his phone. He was so focused on his phone in that moment that he didn't see the person in front of him and his shoulder barged into them. His eyes shot up as he stumbled, but quickly gathered himself before turning quickly. "I'm so sorry," he shot out as quick as possible to the girl he had seen in his English class. He had never talked to her and he had never really heard her speak, but he still knew her name. "I should have been paying more attention," he said softly to her. "Sydney, right?"

[ I'm sorry to hear that! Sad And glad you get to finish early tomorrow if you're tired you should get some sleep, though! Hug ]

Derek sent Erica the best reassuring smile he could muster up before getting it over with and giving her the bite. He knew she was afraid of it not taking and things backfiring and then getting worse for her but he didn't think that would happen. Honestly, it wasn't often that the bite didn't take really. And even though he was still a little curious as to how Jackson hadn't turned even though he'd been bitten he wasn't worried about it at the moment. And he'd most likely think some more about it later, after all, there had to be some reason he hadn't turned yet aside from him being immune. Because no one was immune, it just wasn't possible. The bite either takes and you turn, or it doesn't take and you die. And he'd figured that one out the hard way. "There's nothing to worry about, I promise," Derek told her afterward. "So it's going to take a little bit of time to really set it. But by this time tomorrow, you'll be a new person,"
Lydia twirled around one last time before stopping when she noticed a boy a little way up the beach who she decided to make her way towards. She didn't know who he was, but she felt like she'd seen him before. "Are you out here all alone?" She asked with a smile when she reached him as she pushed her fingers through her hair. "Because I'm out here all alone and maybe you'd like to join me for a walk or something?" She added biting her lip. Even though she didn't know him there was something about him that seemed off. He didn't seem happy she supposed would be the way to put it, and well life should be lived to the fullest every day and everyone should try and be happy as often as possible. So Lydia felt like maybe she could spread her happiness with someone else.
Sydney had just closed her locker when someone bumped into her clearly not paying attention to where ever they were headed. She was a little shocked when they apologized, knew her name, and actually used it, though. Most people didn't really talk to her, or care if they ran into her, hell most people didn't even have the decency to not talk about her when it was clear she could hear them. But it was something she'd gotten used to really. "Yea," she said pushing her fingers through her hair and nodding her head. "You're Scott right?" She asked deciding that he'd been nice enough to her to apologize and make sure he knew her name she could do the same. Of course, everyone kind of knew who he was given he was co-captain of the lacrosse team but it never hurt to be sure.

Sophia's eyes grew wide at what she was witnessing. She could feel the fear running through her veins and her heart beating hard in her throat. A part of her hoped that is was the medication that she was on giving her hallucinations or that she was having an extremely realistic dream, but she knew that was not the case. She watched this man sink, what seemed almost like fangs, into the girl's flesh. She could see the pain in her face. Her eyes tore away from them for a split seconds to search the hallway for another human just so she could scream out for help. She knew, even if she was in a better way, that she would never be able to take this man by herself; to tear him away from her, but the hallway was completely empty. She let out a soft whimper as she pressed her back harder against the wall and closed her eyes. She wanted to run or hide, but she knew as a shiver ran down her spine that it was it too late to do either of them.
Stiles felt confused when he watched the girl walk towards him. He was never the one who had females walking up to him or even really talking to him. That was all left for Scott considering he was the co-captain of the lacrosse team. He shoved his hands into the pockets of his jeans as the girl stopped in front of him. "Y-yeah," he managed to get out with a hint of nervousness to his voice. She looked as young as him and once again he was confused. She was beautiful, but she looked so intelligent and he couldn't work out why she was not in school. She looked like the type of person who would be. Then it hit him, he had never seen anyone like her at school. If he did, he surely would've noticed. He bit down on his lip as he nodded his head. "Okay," he replied, shrugging his shoulder and trying his hardest to keep cool as he moved closer towards her. "Shouldn't you be at school or something?" he added in after a few seconds of silence.
Scott smiled at her and nodded his head. "Yeah, it's Scott," he happily replied back. "I didn't hurt you or anything, did I?" he asked; his happiness quickly sinking into concern as he stepped a little closer towards her. He could hear the whispers of students around him, some wondering why Scott McCall was talking to Sydney Boykewich. He always heard the terrible things students said about the girl and some days he just wanted to tell them to shut up, but he never did. To him, she never seemed too bothered by what people would say; it was either that or she put up a good front.

Once Derek was finished giving Erica the bite and reassuring her that everything would work out he wrote down where he wanted her to meet him later and then left the room. After all, he couldn't just take her from the hospital right now because it might draw unwanted attention to things. He also figured he should leave her at the hospital until the bite took and they both knew everything really was going to work. There was also the fact that he had another beta running around he needed to check on that was reason enough for him to leave Erica until the bite had taken and she could leave the hospital on her own free will because the doctors gave her the all-clear. As he left her room he couldn't help but notice a girl standing in the hall with a look of fear in her eyes, he could hear her heart beating faster than normal, and he could smell the fear she had. Probably because she'd just witnessed him biting into Erica's flesh like nothing. Though he wasn't worried about what she'd seen because it wasn't like anyone would believe her. He was, however, curious as to why she was here because maybe she'd make a good third beta, and given that she was in the hospital something must've been wrong with her which meant that he might be able to appeal to her like he had with Erica.
Lydia looked over at the boy and smiled kind of glad to no longer be alone. Then he asked her about school and she was nothing more than confused. "Maybe," she said biting her lip. "I don't know really," she added trying to think really hard about how she ended up on the beach, and about everything before the beach but she was coming up blank. "I can't really remember anything from before I woke up on the beach," she told him knowing that wasn't a good sign but she didn't know how to fix it. "I do remember who I am and things about myself, but I can't remember anything else," she told him not really sure what would happen next, or if she'd ever remember anything else. Was it even possible for her to remember? Who would she even ask for help? And how would they even help her? All of a sudden everything was just a mystery to her.
Sydney shook her head, "no, I'm fine," she told him as she turned to look at him trying her best not to look over at the people still talking about her. She even smiled at him trying to find a way to keep herself from breaking down because as much as she wanted to she couldn't. They all already had enough to talk about when it came to her, she didn't want to give them anything else to talk about. "Thank you for checking on me, though," she finally added after a few seconds. Honestly, most people wouldn't have checked on her, hell they wouldn't have even apologized. And even though she wasn't looking for a friend, or for people to be nice to her, or anything really it was nice to know there was, at least, one person at school who was a decent human being. That, of course, didn't mean that Sydney was going to allow herself to think of him as a friend or anything else. He may have been nice, but she really didn't want to get close only for him to decide she was too messed up to be friends and then leave her alone. Again.

[that's okay Arms sorry for the terrible short reply Facepalm]

Sophia's eyes snapped open when she didn't hear him approach any closer. She bit down on her lip nervously as she quickly checked the halls to see if anyone had decided to walk this way. She could feel the pang of disappointment when she saw no one else walking the hall still. She swallowed the lump in her throat as she slowly took a few steps away from him. "What-what was that?" she stuttered as she raised a shaky hand to motion towards the room that the young girl was in. She didn't know what to do. She was certain that he was going to kill her because she had seen something that she was not supposed to see. That was how all those movies went anyway.
Stiles frowned as he listened to her talk. He was worried about the girl, he was worried about a girl he had never met in his life and for some reason he just wanted to help her. "Did you hit your head or something?" Stiles asked; worrying about her wellbeing. "Did someone hurt you? Do you need me to take you to the hospital? Is there someone I can call?" he asked quickly. He quickly dug around in his pocket to pull out his phone. He looked at her with worried eyes as he moved a little closer to her.
"I'm glad," Scott smiled in return. He glanced down at the books in his arms before quickly turning his head when he heard the whispers of the students grow louder. He glared at them until they finally walked off. He turned back to Sydney with a small smile back on his face. "It's not a problem," he replied softly and shrugged his shoulders once again. "I'm just glad you're okay." He wanted to ask her how she really was, but he knew that was crossing a line. He had only just started talking to this girl, but he still wanted to know. "Want to walk to class with me?" he asked slowly

[ it's fine really! I'm sure once the roleplay really gets a bit farther along everything will come to us both a lot easier XD ]

Derek looked this girl up and down trying to get a really good look at her because there was something about her that he knew would make her perfect as a beta. He had no idea what it was, though. "That," he said motioning towards Erica's room, "was me giving her a way to get better," he told her knowing that this girl in front of him would think he sounded insane. They always thought he sounded insane at first. But once they saw everything getting the bite could do for them they didn't think he was so insane anymore. Or at least that the was the plan, for them to not think he was insane anymore. "Give her a day and then I promise you won't see her here sick ever again," he said deciding to see if he could appeal to this girl and have her ask for the bite herself. Because he didn't want to force it on anyone, that wasn't how he did things. His uncle might've just run around biting whoever the hell he wanted whenever the hell he wanted. But Derek didn't. When he found people who he felt could be good beta's he pursued them and found a way to convince them that it was the right idea. Because when they wanted the bite, there wasn't as much fight or fear in them.
Lydia shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know what happened," she told him biting her lip again. "Really all I remember is waking up on the beach. And I don't know how I got there or anything that happened before I woke up. So I don't know what to do now," she told him all the carefree happiness from earlier rushing out of her body. She'd been happy just twirling around with the sand between her toes, but she'd known it couldn't last. And being brought to reality made her realize that she had no idea what was going to happen now and that scared her. Where was she supposed to go? She had no idea who her family was or where they even were, so she had no place to go. Hell, the only thing Lydia was sure of at that moment was her name and that she was just seventeen. At least, this boy was attempting to help her, though, or at least, she assumed he was attempting to help her once she saw him pull something from his pocket.
"Oh you don't have to," Sydney said biting her lip and finally putting her books in her bag. "But I mean we are going to the same class so if you want you can walk me to class," she said feeling awkward. She really wasn't ever sure how to interact with others who she didn't live with. And even then it was hard to interact with everyone who lived there. That was just what it was like when you're in a foster home, though. There're so many kids in and out of the house that it's hard to keep up with everyone. And it was totally different when it came to kids at school because well she didn't live with them. None of the kids here knew much about her home life or her life in general. And aside from what they'd come up with on their own and the few things that'd been leaked and only caused more rumors no one knew much about her. And she'd always just preferred to keep it that way. So someone being nice to her, and not ignoring her, or even talking about her where she could hear them was new and she really didn't know how to handle it. "Can I just ask you something really quick," she said biting her lip. "Why're you being so nice to me? Because I'm sure you've heard everything people say about me which usually makes people run in the other direction."

[we totally got this tehe I'M JUST TOO EXCITED FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN AND I WANT THOSE THINGS TO HAPPEN lmfao]

Sophia wrapped her arms around herself tightly. She didn't feel comfortable around this unknown man especially when his eyes looked her up and down. Something felt off and it wasn't just his crazy words. She shook her head and her brows furrowed. "That, that does not make someone get better!" she hissed. "You just bit someone with teeth. Teeth that did not look like what they are now. Biting someone just doesn't miraculously make someone better." She stepped further away from him with her head shaking again. This man was a lunatic. He was biting innocent people for kicks and here she was still talking to him. She didn't understand why she wasn't running and screaming for someone to get him the hell out of here. She was scared that they would think she was as crazy as him. "I find that very hard to believe," she told him.
Stiles' shoulders slumped forward when he had seen how scared and confused she was. Not too long ago she was twirling in the sand without a care and he brought her mood down by asking her questions. He bit down on his lip as he unlocked his phone to text his father to see if he was at the station. He wanted to help her more than ever. He wanted her to be as happy and carefree as she was when he had first seen her. He flickered his concern eyes back to her once he had sent the text. "We can help you. Me and my dad. He's the sheriff. We'll help you remember," he said softly with a small smile. "That-that's if you want it." he quickly stuttered out. He didn't know what she was. Maybe she was just a missing teenager who had gone through so much that she just couldn't remember or maybe, just maybe, she was something else. Stiles soon remembered that not only did he not know what she was, but she didn't know who she was. He never asked her name even when she had said she remember. "I'm Stiles by the way," he said softly; smiling at her again.
"We are heading the same way," Scott said with a chuckle. "C'mon," he added as he motioned towards the way to class. He smiled one last time at her before he looked ahead and walked along side her. He shoved one of his hands in his pockets as he kept silent; not really knowing what to say to the girl beside him. She seemed so sweet and he couldn't help but to wonder why everyone in the school treated her so badly. She was a pretty girl as well. She should've been popular and well liked, but people treated her terribly just because she was keeping private things to herself. "I don't pay much attention to gossip," he told her. "I have heard some things, but that doesn't mean I believe it. Besides, that's your life. That is private for you and if you don't want to share it then you don't have to." Scott kept looking ahead, but soon turned to look back at her. "I'm being nice to you because you are being nice to me. You didn't bite my head off like some other girls would in this school after I accidentally ran into them," he added with an almost playful grin.

[ yes we do tehe. I'm super excited for this to happen as well!!! XD ]

Derek couldn't help himself from letting out a little laugh from her response. Of course, she had no idea what she'd just witnessed, and it wouldn't shock him if she wasn't thinking about telling anyone what she saw because really who would believe her? "It does if you're an alpha werewolf," he told her deciding now was a good time to starting working on convincing her that she needed the bite too. "Because when you're an alpha you can give the bite to others and when it takes everything changes. Sure you'll become a werewolf and have to deal with learning how to control yourself, especially on the full moon. And yea there are hunters who may try and hunt you, and maybe that's a downside for some. The upside though is that you heal from things like cancer, and without having to go through treatment after treatment. And you don't have to worry if the treatments will even work, or that if it does work the cancer will just come back in the future. Believe me, when I say this, what I just did for Erica will change her life for the better." Derek told her girl with a really good feeling that even if she didn't jump at the thought of it right away and beg him to give her the bite right then and there, she'd come around in no time.
"Lydia," She replied smiling at Stiles before thinking about if she wanted to remember. There had to be a reason that she didn't remember, and maybe that was a good thing. Or maybe it wasn't. For all, she really knew something bad could've happened to her and remembering could cause a lot of pain she didn't want in her life. But either way, maybe it was best for her to remember. "Okay, I don't know how you could help me remember but I think I need to," she said hoping that everything would work out. Maybe his dad really would be helpful. Maybe going and talking to Stiles' father wherever he was would work out. After all, she didn't really have any idea where she was supposed to live or anything else right now since she couldn't remember anything so maybe talking to his dad could give her answers to the questions she already had even without her memories.
Sydney ran her fingers through her hair and bit her lip. Even if most of the things she heard people say were totally insane and they had no idea what they were talking about most people were quick to believe everything they heard in the hallways. So friends or not it really was a little refreshing to know there actually were people who didn't believe everything they heard. Or at least, didn't form opinions about people based on what they heard. "Yea well there wasn't really any reason for me to bite your head off, it was an accident after all," She said biting her lip. Plus people already disliked her enough for whatever reason, and she always tried to make sure they didn't have yet another reason to. Even if most of the things they believed weren't true. She had to admit that it was pretty refreshing also for someone to actually understand that she was allowed to keep things to herself if she didn't want to share them. The fact that Scott McCall was being so nice to her was a little off-putting, though. She was sure that he meant well, and she didn't doubt that he wasn't being nice for some weird ulterior motive, he was probably just an overall nice person. She, however, didn't know what to do with that, or how to deal with having friends. So she knew if he did try and get close she'd probably end up pushing him away. Even if she didn't mean to.

Sophia raise her eyebrows in absolute disbelief from the words that came out of her mouth. "Yeah right," she mumbled to herself. She even let out a little laugh. She was set on that this guy was mentally unstable. Werewolves were just fiction and there was no way in hell they could exist. He was either crazy or just watched way too many movies in a row or both. "Even if it was real nothing could save me now," she shrugged like it was nothing. "But it's not real. You are crazy unless you can prove it," she challenged him. Maybe she could show him how delusional he really was since he thought werewolves were real and that giving her a simple bite could make her better.
Lydia. He liked that name. He smiled back at her as his phone buzzed in his hands. He glanced down to read that his father was indeed at the sheriff's station. Stiles nodded at her reply. "Follow me," he told her as he lead her up the beach and towards his Jeep. "My Dad is good at his job," he told her knowing that this is probably a case his father could tackle better than he could. "We'll find out about your family and where you are from. It could trigger some memories," he continued on as he opened the door for the girl. Stiles was trying his best to stay positive. He truly hoped his Dad could help her even if he couldn't, but he knew this was the best way to start. He hoped his Dad could find something.
"We all have things we don't want to share, even I do," he told her with a smile. He couldn't go around telling people that Derek Hale's uncle bit him and now he was a werewolf. Sure people had their suspicions about him considering he was all of a sudden great at lacrosse, but they just thought he was taking something. It just proved how wrong people were. "Thanks for not biting my head off," Scott chuckled in reply. As Scott walked alongside her he could feel the awkwardness coming over him as something crossed his mind. He wanted to have a reason to talk to her again and not have to accidentally run into her again. There was something about her that made her seem so interesting. He bit down on his lip as they reached the classroom. It was now or never. He wished he had Stiles here to push him and say just do it. "Um," he hesitated as he glanced from her to the classroom and back. "If you ever want something to do you should come to lacrosse practice or a game. We have a practice this afternoon, you should come. That's if you want," he said quickly.

Derek laughed again at her response. Honestly, he felt like her response was a more normal response than the ones he usually got. Which he understood honestly, all the werewolves he'd ever known always tried to keep the fact that they were werewolves on the down low. Because none of them actually wanted to cause a panic in whatever town they were in, or at least not a panic that would have people searching for them without giving up. It was already bad enough having to deal with the Argent's and any other family of hunters that were around the last thing Derek wanted was to have yet another group of people out to get him. However, the fact that there were people who believed without needing proof and people who didn't like the girl standing in front of him didn't change anything. He was a werewolf because they did exist. "Why're you here?" He asked her, "that's my first question, and my second one is this I can prove it. I can give you the bite right now and then all you have to do is wait twenty-four hours for the bite to take and then start healing you do you want it or not? I mean clearly you've given up hope on getting better since you don't think anything can heal you, so even if I am lying and turn out to be a lunatic like you think I am it wouldn't matter anyways right?" He asked, honestly she had nothing to lose here.
"Okay," Lydia said following Stiles to wherever he was taking her so they could reach his dad, who she really did hope could help her. But if he was as good at his job as Stiles made it sound then surely he'd be helpful even if just a little, hopefully. "Thank you for helping me with whatever's going on with me," she finally told him once they'd made it into his jeep ready to head off to meet up with his father. Lydia had no idea what they were in store for, she didn't know what might happen, or if they'd even really be able to get her memories back, but, at least, they were trying. Of course, she also wondered how she'd lost them in the first place still because even if it wasn't something bad it had to be something pretty big to cause someone to lose everything aside from who they are. And for them to wake on up the beach of all places, there was just something fishy about the whole thing. So whatever the fishy thing was Lydia had hope they could get to the bottom of it and she could have some answers.
"That we do," Sydney said nodding her head in agreement. Everyone had secrets. There was that one thing that they couldn't tell anyone else about, or maybe something they didn't want to tell anyone else about. It might've even been something they could only share with the people closest to them. It was just normal for people to have things they wanted to keep to themselves. Which was why she'd never understood why people were always so offended by the fact that she didn't want to share personal details with people she barely even knew. "Of course, it's really not a problem," she told him honestly, glad he hadn't given her a reason to want to bite his head off like most people would've. "I don't really know anything about lacrosse actually so I'd be totally lost honestly, but I'll think about it," she told him not wanting to be completely rude and blow him off after just meeting him. But she also wasn't sure about going to a game or practice either. So she would think about it and who knew maybe she could go to one and then tell him it wasn't her thing or something like that if he asked her to come again.

Sophia pursed her lips as she stared at the taller man. She didn't like him laughing at her. She felt like a fool and maybe she was, but maybe she wasn't. He seemed so set on the fact the he could heal her and seemed set one the fact he wanted to bloody bite her just to prove a point. She shook her head at his question about why she was here. "To be honest, it's none of your business," she stated in a matter-of-fact tone. "I'm here because I have to be here." She didn't know this man, hell, she didn't even know his name. She wasn't just going to willingly tell him what was wrong with her. He didn't need to know. His second question made her stop and think; her brows furrowing as she looked away from him. She wanted nothing more than to be better. She wanted to be herself again. She wanted to walk and not feel tired and weak after a few minutes. She wanted to go out and see everything she could. She wanted to feel alive, but what he was wanting to do to make her better sounded far too insane and she felt as crazy as him even thinking about it. A little part of her wanted it to be true. "Show me," she said softly; peeking up at him. "Show me what you say you are and I might consider it," she added before she could even stop herself.
Stiles closed the door after she had gotten in and headed around to jump into the drivers side. After a few tries, his engine finally turned over and a grin covered his face. He really needed to go and get his Jeep fixed, but the lack of money and the constant things happening in Beacon Hills; he really didn't have enough time to even book it in. "That's okay," he told her; glancing over at her quickly before he pulled out of the parking spot and headed towards the Sheriff's station. "I know you said you didn't, but are you sure you don't remember anything else?" he asked after a few moments of silence. Maybe she remembered a sight or a smell or maybe even just a word. He knew any small detail could make all the difference.
Scott smiled over at her as he entered the classroom. He had enjoyed talking to her even though not much was said. It was nice talking about something other that werewolves, hunters and everything else that came with his new life. "You should give it a chance," he told her softly, "it might be fun." Scott smiled at her one last time. "Maybe I'll see you there," he said before he ventured further into the classroom and took his usual seat. He truly did hope that she came.

"Fine," Derek said shrugging his shoulders and shaking his head. Oh, the things he did to try and show people the truth when he wanted them in his pack. He really just hoped that this girl would work out if he gave her the bite because he'd hate for it to backfire on him. "On the count of three," he told her so she'd have a few seconds to prepare herself for what she was about to see. Although he wasn't sure that would be helpful. "One, two, three," he counted before showing her what she wanted to see. The claws, fangs, facial hair, everything was being shown to her at once and she was seeing that he was telling her the truth with her own eyes. Sure him showing her that he was, in fact, a werewolf didn't prove that it could heal her but it did prove that he wasn't lying about what he was. Which you'd think meant that he wasn't lying about anything else either. "Believe me now?"
Lydia really thought about what Stiles had just asked her because maybe there was something helpful but she really couldn't think of anything. At least, nothing that she thought would be helpful in figuring out what was wrong with her. "When I close my eyes I'm surrounded by water but I'm not afraid. It feels familiar I guess you could say. I doubt it's helpful, though. Probably just means I like to swim or something," she said looking over at him wondering if he thought it meant something else. She didn't know what else it could mean, but maybe it did. Or maybe just he did.
"I'll be there," Sydney finally said biting her lip as she'd was deciding to break down and go. This was a good idea, she wasn't totally blowing him off so he might not change how he thought about her right away. Even though she wasn't looking for any kind of serious friendship or even relationship with him she supposed them being acquaintances couldn't hurt. After all, it would give her someone to talk to every once in a while, and an excuse to leave her house here and again when she just wanted to get out. Even if that wasn't a usual occurrence. Having an acquaintance might just be a good idea for her.

Sophia took a deep breath in as he counted to three. She wasn't sure what she was expecting and she sure as hell didn't know how she was going to react. A part of her was telling her that absolutely nothing was going to be happen, but one tiny part wanted it to. She watched silently as his face changed. She saw his fangs, his claws and how different his face looked. It was like something out of her wildest dreams and she wasn't afraid. She was shocked, but she was so intrigued. For the first time since she met him she actually step towards him; taking in every little aspect about him. She didn't feel afraid and she didn't care that she called him crazy. Maybe, just maybe, he wasn't lying about the rest. She just wasn't sure if she was going to take the risk. "Okay," she said softly before she could talk herself out of it. This could be her one and only chance to get better and do whatever the hell she wanted to do. There were, of course, downsides to her saying yes, but anything was better than feeling like she was. "If, if this works, what happens then?" She asked; looking up at him and biting down hard on her lip.
Stiles' eyes flickered to Lydia quickly before they were back on the road in front of him. What she had told him wasn't too helpful at all, but it could've meant something to her; just something she couldn't remember. She really could've just liked swimming and maybe she was just in the water as much as she could. Maybe she could've been drowning and was at peace while she was dying. Stiles' eyes widened at his thought as he parked his car outside the Sheriff's Station. His head quickly snapped towards Lydia as his eyes roamed over her. She looked as alive as him; he highly doubted that she was dead, but stranger things had happened in Beacon Hills. He shook the last thought out of his head knowing it was absolutely crazy as he let a more sane thought through. "It could mean something," he told her as he turned his car off. "But I think it's only the start of the puzzle. We've got to get the rest of the pieces before it makes sense," he said as he thought of the time he had hit his head so hard that he had forgotten things, but with each small piece he remembered it soon all came together for him. Stiles opened his door and slid out before he walked over to the passengers side. "We will piece it all together, Lydia," He said softly to her.
Scott bit down on his lip to stop the grin forming on his face as he sat in the locker room. He didn't even care that Stiles' wasn't here; he was sure he was going to hear an earful from Coach about his absence. He was excited knowing that Sydney actually agreed to come watch practice. He hadn't had anyone to come to one to see him since he first met Allison. He bit down a little bit harder as he grabbed his helmet in one hand and the stick in the other as he followed a few other the other teammates out onto the field. He ignored the looks Isaac shot him and the displeasure on Jackson's since he was the other co-captain. He just hoped seeing Sydney there would make this a lot easier for him.

Derek was quick to change back to normal once he'd shown her all she needed to see because she was the only person who needed to see it. And he hadn't even planned on showing her, so he really didn't want to run around the hospital showing everyone in the world what he was. That would just make it easier for the hunters who didn't already know what he looked like to be able to point him out. "Well you're emotions will be everywhere for a bit and you're not going to know how to control them. Which is where I come in. I'm an alpha, I was also born this way and have had years to learn how to control it and not let it control me. You, on the other hand, will be a bitten and will need time. So I'll help you learn how to control the urges you might have and will be there on full moons to make sure you don't kill anyone. I'll also teach you everything you need to know about how to not get yourself killed by hunters, and as long as you do as I tell you then you'll be fine," he told her not worried about her not listening. Once he gave her the bite it'd be nearly impossible for her not to listen to him when he gave direction. It was just how things worked. The beta's did what the alpha instructed and that was that. Of course, it wasn't like he was going to instruct her to kill anyone or anything insane like that so she shouldn't have an issue with anything anyways.
Lydia nodded her head and followed Stiles into the station. "I hope you're right," she said desperately wanting him to be right about this. "So where are we going again?" She asked biting her lip and looking around the station. The place didn't look familiar at all and she wasn't exactly sure what his father looked like either so she was really just relying on him to lead her to where she needed to be. "Your dad isn't going to be mad that you brought me here is he? Or that you're skipping school right? Because I mean you don't look much older than me, and if you think I should've been in school that must mean you should've been in school too but you weren't, otherwise you wouldn't have found me," she said hoping that she wasn't going to get him into trouble. Yes, she was happy he was helping her, but she didn't want him to get into some kind of trouble for helping her. Because she'd feel awful if he did.
Sydney pulled her hair up so it'd be out of her face then made her way out of school towards the field to watch Scott at his lacrosse practice. Which she couldn't believe she'd agreed to. Sydney had no doubts that since he was co-captain of the team he was good, she also didn't believe the rumors around school saying he was only good this year because he was on something that made him better. The way she saw it he probably spent his summer practicing or something to get better. He really didn't fit the profile for a person who used the way she saw it either. Plus she was sure if the rumors were true and he was on something that surely a teacher or something would've done something about it by now. Either way regardless of how Scott had gotten good enough at lacrosse to be co-captain Sydney had agreed to watch him practice, and that's what she planned to do. Even after she discovered that there were other girls there to watch practice as well. She couldn't really say she was that shocked to see other people there. The lacrosse team was pretty popular and these girls were more than likely dating members or something and just there for support. Or maybe they were just there to stare. Whatever the reason she planned to ignore them and not let them get under her skin for any reason. Like she did every day.

[this was a horrible reply. I am so sorry]

Sophia stood there and took her eyes off him to stare at the ground. Her brows furrowed together as he talked. She weighed the pros and the cons, but still a part of her still couldn't believe she was actually wanting to say yes to this. She just wanted to be okay again. She didn't want to be sick. Sure she might not be able to control herself, there was a small chance she could kill someone or she could be killed, but, with what he was saying, she would have him to help her. She wanted this, she needed this and he was going to give it to her. All she had to do was say yes. She bit down on her lip and finally looked back up at him. "Okay, I'm in," she told him in a strong voice. Even if this didn't work out, she was going to die anyway; she had no reason to be scared anymore.
Stiles desperately wanted to say "I hope I am too," but he didn't want to burst any bubbles especially his own. He hoped it was all going to work out even if it took some time. "My Dad's office," he told her as he walked towards it. "I mean he might be mad that I didn't go to school or maybe took you to a hospital first, but when he let's me talk it will be fine," Stiles replied; waving it off. He poked his head into his Dad's office and smiled wide at him. "Hey Dad, I need your help."

His Dad went through his usual rant about going to school and that his help could wait until after school, but Stiles pressed on that it was urgent and stepped aside from him to see Lydia. "This is Lydia. She can't remember anything except for when she woke up on the beach where I found her. Maybe you could look into it?"
Scott had spent most of practice defending the goal keeper. By the time it was over he was absolutely buggered. He had seen Sydney the moment she showed up and he couldn't help but to sneak peaks at her every time he had a chance. He was glad she had actually shown up. A little part of him thought that she might not, but there she was in the grandstands. The moment practice was over, he pulled off his helmet and headed towards her with a little smile playing on his face. "You came," he stated; panting a little. He needed a shower desperately and he knew he didn't smell the best from how much he was sweating, but he wanted to see her before he went back into the locker rooms. "Did you actually enjoy yourself?" He asked

[ nonsense it was fine! ]

Derek knew she'd say yes. Honestly, this was why when he'd made the decision to make beta's and start a pack he knew he had to find people who were broken because they'd be the easiest to convince. And it wasn't likely that they'd say no because they wanted to get better, no matter what it took. "Okay," he said before realizing he didn't even know this girl name. Of course so far she'd been pretty resistant on telling him anything about her. That would all have to change, and he would make a big deal about it right then and there but he knew it would probably set her off. Plus once he gave her the bite and she became a beta it would be natural for her to feel more at ease with him. She'd probably trust him more, and be willing to do what he needed her to do. Which until he was sure she was ready to handle things her time with him would be spent teaching her how to control herself. Erica and Issac however were going to be helpful with his plan. This girl though wasn't. She could be, but it would take a while. "It be helpful though if I knew your name first," he said knowing it sounded lame but oh well.
Lydia took a seat across from the sheriff's desk like he'd asked her to and was just waiting for now. It was pretty clear to her that this wasn't what he'd been expecting to spend his time doing. Of course when there was so little to go off of that probably made it harder, but regardless of that she was just glad he was doing what he could to help her.

"I'm not finding anything," she heard the sheriff say, after about an hour, before he ran his hands over his face. "That doesn't mean I'm giving up, though," he added before looking at her then his son then back to Lydia. "Do you have anywhere to stay until we figure things out?"

    Lydia shook her head. "No."

"Okay, well you're going to come stay with us for a while until we can figure all this out. So Stiles here's a little bit of money, why don't you take Lydia and make sure she has everything she needs then take her home and show her where she'll be staying." He said nodding towards his son not sure what had happened to this girl, or where her family was, but he had no plans to give up until he got some answers.
"Well I did tell you that I was coming, so you don't have to sound so surprised," Sydney said laughing softly and sending Scott a smile. "It was okay, I think it'd be more fun though if it were an actual game. Ya know so I'd have someone to cheer for and a reason to cheer for them." She said biting her lip. Never would she had pictured herself saying those words to someone, because Sydney always pushed people away in the end and had made it her goal to just not get close to anyone so she couldn't push them away. Yet here she was flirting in her own odd way with a guy that she hadn't meant to flirt with. Yes Scott was attractive. Honestly, she thought he was more attractive than Jackson. And somehow without even thinking about what she was saying she'd just unintentionally flirted with him. Which wasn't her. She didn't want to get close to Scott. She didn't want to end up hurting him. So maybe deciding to come to this practice had been a bad idea. Of course it was too late now.
