Zack nodded a bit, "Alright, we'll make another appointment then, my sister has some connections," he said to hr with a small smile. He knew this nurse was being impossible, with both of his niece and nephew his sister had come here for her tests and ultrasound and gotten them in the same day. It was obvious that this woman was being prejudice.

She yawned as she walked with him down the stairs and into the kitchen with him,"I'll nibble a bit or else I'll wake up at four am starving," she smiled a little as she leaned into him, "Do you want anything to drink?"

The nurse smiled. "Alright, well we should have the results of your blood test in about two days and then we'll give you a call. In the meantime, here are a few things about pregnancy you can read." The nurse handed Sabrina a few pamphlets; she thanked her and got to her feet to exit the room. "This was a waste of time," she mumbled. "I already know I'm pregnant. And now I have to go make an appointment with an obstetrician, which is gonna be crazy expensive and Jesus."

"If you're getting up, I'll take a beer," Matt said, grinning at her. He settled back against the couch, reaching for the remote as he popped a piece of sesame chicken into his mouth. He chose a movie and then sat the remote aside, digging into his food. "Thanks, babe," he said when Talia returned with his beer. He used the table to pop the top off of the bottle and then took a swig. He wrapped an arm around her shoulder, pulling her close as he continued to eat.

"I told you I could pay for it, trust me alright; I am gonna call my sister real quick and get yelled at but it'll be okay," he said to her smiling as he followed her, "Just give me a second,"

He called his sister and quietly explained the situation then let her yell at him, it was a cycle he was able to bypass, "Alright but just let me get your doctors name and stuff so I can come in for the ultrasound today - I know he is a good doctor thats why I asked, and he is quick, yep," he said now looking annoyed.

"Thank you," he said as he wrote the number down on the palm of his hand. "I'll call you and let you know,"

She smiled a little as she leaned against him - her eyes closed as she melted into his side. So long she had waited for this, and it was perfect why hadn't she kissed him soon? "You know I've liked you for two years," she said to him as she watched the tv.

"I don't want you to have to pay for everything, though," Sabrina said. She really needed to get health insurance, and she thought she'd heard her sister say that you could qualify for cheap Medicaid if you were pregnant. She leaned against her car as she waited for Zacky to get off the phone. He seemed pretty annoyed with his sister and she was sure he was getting chewed. While she waited, she flipped through one of the pamphlets the nurse had given her. It talked about all the of the things she'd need to do now that she was pregnant and Sabrina suddenly felt overwhelmed.

"I kinda figured," Matt said, grinning. "You started acting a little different and I didn't notice because I'm dumb as shit but the guys noticed and they said something to me and it got me thinking about how I felt about you and it didn't take me long to realize that I liked you, too." He was quiet for a minute as he ate a little bit more. "You know, I'm pretty sure the guys have been making bets on when we would get together," Matt said. He chuckled. "Somebody might be making a lot of money off of all of this."

"We get twenty percent," she said to him grinning a little, "Call it a gamblers fee," she said as she looked at him as she picked a bit of chicken off his takeout tray.

"I feel like this is good, I don't want to like jinx it or anything but I feel good about this," she said to him as she ate some of his food.

When he got off the phone he looked at her, "Alright, I got us an appointment for in an hour we can make it therewith twenty minutes to spare," he said to her with a small smile, "You okay?" he asked her lightly.

"Yeah, I'm fine," Sabrina said. She managed a smile. "Just not feeling well. I'm ready to go home and take a nap." She got the directions for the obstetrician's from Zacky and climbed into her car. It was in a part of Huntington Beach that she'd never been in before, so she got a little lost and only arrived at the office with about five minutes to spare. "Sorry I'm late, the rich part of town is really confusing," she said to Zacky.

"Fuck that, we're getting at least forty," Matt said, laughing. He watched as she picked some food from his plate. He knew she would, even though she said she wasn't hungry. "I think you're too superstitious," Matt told her. He didn't really believe in jinxes or knocking on wood or anything like that. "But I like this too, it feels right."

She smiled a little as she looked at him ,"It does feel right, I mean now you have a young girlfriend," she said to him teasingly, "You know since you're old now," she grinned. Matt was only thirty years old but her being twenty four she liked to tease him about it.

He smiled, "It's alright, I checked us in already we can go in the waiting room," he said to her as he grabbed her hand, "Is this okay?I dont want to freak you out or anything," he said to her with a small smile.

"It's fine," Sabrina said. She held onto Zacky's hand as they walked into the waiting room. It actually gave her a little bit of comfort to have something to hold onto and it made her feel nice to know that Zacky wanted to hold her hand.

"Shit, I'm a cradle robber," Matt gasped dramatically, and then he laughed. "That's okay though, at least my young girlfriend is hot." He leaned over to press a kiss to Talia's temple before stabbing another piece of chicken.

Zack smiled as he walked with her - he wanted her to be okay, he knew she was the one having a harder time right now and he wasn't ever going to forget it. When they walked into the office it was just in time because they were being called into the back, "we're here," he said as he walked with her.

She grinned a little as she set her fork down, "Is the spare room made up? I'll go make the bed if it is," she said as she yawned sleepily - it had been a long day, after writing a few articles that morning she'd been to the gym then she went to shower and hang out with matt and now it was nearing ten pm and she felt exhausted.

Sabrina held onto Zacky's hand until they reached the exam room, at which point she let go, walking over to sit on the exam table. There were stirrups on this table and Sabrina cringed at the thought of having a pelvic exam with Zacky in the room. Hopefully that wouldn't be necessary.

Matt nodded. "Yeah, it's made up," he told her. "And the covers and everything are already on it, so you don't have to worry about making the bed." He sat his food down on the coffee table. "I don't think there are any pillow cases on the pillows though, for some strange reason. Let me get some."

She nodded, "Alright," she said not arguing, she was tired - she had only started working out this week so her body was still getting used to the extra activity every day; she was quite the lazy person for being as fit as she was. Her endurance lacked though something she wanted to work on. She'd went hiking with a couple friends and she felt as if she were about to die at the end of the day.

He smiled and took a seat in one of the chairs by the opposite wall, he saw them wheel in an ultrasound - they did them on request and he made sure to request it because he knew she wanted to see the baby, and to be honest so did he.

Sabrina looked up when the nurse wheeled in the ultrasound machine. "Hi, my name is Taylor, I'm going to be your nurse today. I'm going to get you situated for the ultrasound and take a quick look and then the doctor is going to come in."

"O-Okay," Sabrina said. The nurse instructed her to lie back on the table and pull her shirt up to reveal her stomach. She squirted some of the jelly onto her stomach and Sabrina shivered.

Matt looked at Talia, who had stayed on the couch. "Are you coming?" he asked, laughing. "Or are you just gonna sleep on the couch and I'm getting these pillow cases for nothing?" He waited for Talia to walk over to him and then took her hand, leading her upstairs.

"I think the pillow cases are in this little closet thing," he said. He didn't really understand why there weren't cases on these pillows, but maybe Talia was right. He was messy.

She nodded, "I don't really need it tho, right?" she said as she looked at him curiously, "I'll just sleep without it," she said as she leaned into him. Talia was like a child sometimes, when she was tired she was extremely tired and when she was awake she would be full of energy.

When he looked at the screen he had no idea what he was even looking for - then he saw it, the little flicker on the screen and the nurse stopped then smiled at then, "There are, thats your little one - you're about eight weeks or so, maybe a little further but not by much,"

That was abut right now that he thought about it. "So it looks okay?" he asked as he looked at her.

The nurse nodded. "It looks fine," she said. "The doctor will be able to tell you in a little bit better detail, but everything seems to be just fine."

Sabrina stared at the screen, trying to make heads or tails of what she was looking at. To her, it definitely didn't look like a baby, just a little black and white blob. "Can I get a picture?" she asked the nurse.

"No no, I'm getting you a pillow case," Matt said, shaking his head. He dug around in the closet for a few minutes and finally found the pillow cases. He tossed them to Talia. "There ya go!" he exclaimed. "They're clean, so don't worry." He grinned as he walked over to Talia, wrapping his arms around her shoulders. "I probably won't be going to bed for a few hours, so I should tell you goodnight now."

The nurse nodded, "Sure, I'll print it out now," she said smiling a little as she hit a couple buttons and then hit print on the machine and it printed right out, "Here you go," she said to her smiling.

Zack looked, "Can we have a couple more copies, we're showing our families soon," he said to her and she did printing out more., "Thank you,"

She leaned into him and sighed contently, "Hm, yeah I'll be long asleep by the time you fall asleep," she snorted a little, "We need to set you up a bed time or something," she said to him with a small smile curving her lips, as she laid on his chest she noted that he smelled really good and remembered to as him what he bought for cologne.

"Alright, the doctor will be here in a few minutes, so just sit tight," the nurse said, smiling as she stepped out of the room. Sabrina didn't see the point in sitting up, so she just laid back on the table, bringing the ultrasound picture up to her face.

"Am I the only one who doesn't think this looks like a baby?" she asked.

"Pfft, I don't need a bedtime," Matt scoffed. He grinned. "I'm a thirty year old man, I go to bed whenever the hell I want." He pressed his face into her hair, inhaling the scent of her shampoo. It was a very feminine smell and very familiar.

He bursted out laughing and covered his mouth, "It looks like a dot," he said to her as he squinted to see it, "But its heart was strong," he said to her smiling a little, "Our kid is gonna be kick ass," he told her smiled a little.

"Hm, if you say so," she said to him as she sighed, "Well I'm gonna go to bed, I'll see you in the morning," she said to him lightly, "Bright and early," she reminded him and kissed him softly before moving to walk to the bedroom she always slept in when she stayed over.

Sabrina chuckled under her breath. Hearing Zacky call it their kid made her happy and made her feel a little less uncomfortable about the whole situation. "Yeah, it's gonna be a little badass," she agreed.

Soon enough, the doctor arrived, and Sabrina was a little unhappy to see that it was a man. She'd really been hoping it would be a woman.

"Uh no, I'm not getting up before eleven," Matt called after her. He wasn't a morning person, even if there was a potential breakfast involved. He enjoyed his sleep. He headed back into the living room, picking up his plate again, and continued to eat.

He smiled a little as he looked at he then looked up, "So, you're pregnant- I just have a few things for you to look over when you go home, everything looks great with the baby so there is no concerns there. You can make another appointment in a month, but I wanted to give you some information; Obviously no alcohol if you smoke try to cut back, quitting cold turkey can have side effects on the baby as well. I suggest doing some light reading, if you start panicking right now it won't do you any good," he said to her.

"Uh okay," Sabrina mumbled. She'd have to stop by the library or bookstore and get some books to read, because like she'd told Zacky earlier, she knew absolutely nothing about babies, or pregnancy either, for that matter. She didn't smoke, so she wouldn't have to worry about that, but she did like to drink. She didn't think it would be too hard to give that up, though.

Matt woke up the next morning to the smell of bacon drifting up from his kitchen. He glanced over at his clock and saw that it was about a quarter after ten and he pressed his face into his pillow, groaning.
