A Charming Place |Closed

Emily sat inside the garage of T.M watching over Jax as he worked. She had always like watching her cousin work and learning new things about vehicles, regardless of if she remembered them or not--which she usually didn't. She ran a hand through her blonde hair and looked around, waiting to see if the man she was really there for would show up. For the past year or so, Emily had been pursuing Happy Lowman like no other. There was something about the hard headed man that struck her. But, to her demise, he wanted almost nothing to do with her. She sighed, looking back over at Jax, who was currently elbow deep in the engine of the vehicle.

Jax furrowed his eyebrows and rolled his blue eyes as he heard the sigh escape his cousin's lips. He knew exactly why the younger girl was sitting next to him on the work bench. He wasn't unknowing to the game she had been playing. He didn't want her getting hurt; Happy tended to use them and lose them. But he was thankful that the man hadn't tried to make a move on her. He looked over at her briefly while he fiddled with a hose in the motor, "Why don't you go hang out with Roxy or something, I'm sure she's inside." He laughed, "I know what you're doing."

Parking his bike next to Juice's bike. Happy Lowman slid off his bike with ease and and placed his helmet on the seat. Walking with Juice he headed for the bar to grab him a drink. He saw the younger girl sitting on the bench beside of her cousin. A dear friend of his, and someone he rather not betray. He saw her eyes meet with his own as he shook his head. He ignored her once more and headed inside to grab the beer that he was desiring.

Handing Gemma the last bit of stuff she'd asked for. Roxy straightened up and smiled at her future mother n law. She walked out of the room and headed out into the bar and then onto the lot. She smiled seeing Jax deep into the engine of the old classic car he was working on. Se walked over and sat beside of Emily and smiled hearing Jax mention about hanging out. "Sure we can." Roxy smiled at her. "Mani/Pedi's sound good after a long day of work around here." She grinned.

Emily sighed and chewed on her bottom lip. Every time he looked at her like that her hopes and dreams sunk to the bottom of her chest. She watched Juice walk back out and smiled at him. Deciding to test her theory, she walked over to Juice and wrapped her arms around his neck. "Hey, I missed you! I'd stick around but Roxy and I are going to the nail salon."

Juice smiled as he hugged her back, he was slightly confused, but went along with it. He watched her walk back over to Roxy and Jax, raising his eyebrow at the blonde man.

Jax rolled his eyes and looked over to his girl, wiping his hands on a towel. He made his way over to her, kissing her cheek. "Watch her will ya?" He whispered in a low voice. "She's still hung up on all that Happy shit." He moved away from her slightly and smiled. "You two have fun and stay out of trouble, alright?" He went back over to the car and peeked in the hood, but turned back around to face Roxy. "You need any cash?"

Seeing the girl hug on Juice did tug at him a little. But he kept the firmness of not caring. He shook his head and turned around going into the garage to offer Jax a hand or to work on something. He needed to get his mind off of Emily. He was stubborn in his ways. And at times he didn't want to fall in love with anyone. Scared he'd rope into this life, and they'd wind up getting harmed.

Shaking her head no, Roxy smiled at Jax before pecking his lips. "I'll see you later." She told him as she walked with Emily towards her dodge charger hell chat. She got inside and cranked it up as she watched Emily. "Give him some time. You know as well as I do. These men are stubborn." She smiled at her best friend trying to assure her he'd come around.

Emily scrunched her face. A year is plenty of time. She sighed a looked over at Roxy as she drove, "Yeah, it ain't going to happen. I should have never even traveled that road. I should have taken that date with Juice the firs ten times he asked me before he gave up," She laughed. She didn't want to lead Juice on, however. She cared for him too much. "When are you and my cousin planning on biting the bullet and saying your vows?"

Jax looked over at Happy, his arms emerged in the engine once more. "Hey man, hand me that ratchet, will ya?" He took the tool from him and nodded. "Thanks," he cleared his throat. "So, Emily still can't leave you be, huh? Do I need to have another conversation with her or what, man?"

Glancing at Jax, Happy sighed leaning into the tool box. "No more converstations." Happy told his pal as he sighed. "Look Jax. I know you don't want her involved with me. I get that." He began as he ran a hand over his head sighing. "I do like her, but I am scared to rope her in with me. I'm not the best guy for someone like her to be with." He paused. "Ya know." He said to him.

Roxy stopped at the stop sign and looked over at Emily smiling, "Hopefully soon." Roxy replied to Emily as she pulled out and sighed lightly. "Hap, is... I don't know. Maybe he's came around and something or someone is holding him back or something hun." Roxy said turning into the salon parking lot. She killed the engine and looked at Emily, "I am sure things will fall into place." She assured her.

Emily smiled at Roxy as the pair of them got out of the vehicle. She had been so appreciative that Jax had found Roxy shortly have she had moved back to Charming. She viewed Roxy as the sister she never had. She knew that anytime she needed advice she could count on her. "Screw the conversation about men," She grinned. "I'm trying to get pampered."

Jax shrugged and exhaled a breath. It wasn't exactly that he didn't want her involved with him , rather, she was his baby cousin and didn't want her anymore involved with the club than she had to be. He already hated that Roxy was indebted as much as she was. "Look, man," He started. "If you think you can go for it and keep her as separated from the club as possible--do it. But if she gets hurt or put in danger, that's shit's on you and I'll make sure you know it "

Grinning ear to ear Roxy nodded her head leaning into the chair as she got her mani/pedi on. She smiled as she took and lent forward a little and saw her phone flashing. She grabbed it and saw the text message from Tig. She rolled her eyes as she replied to her older brother and laid her phone in her lap. "I swear." She muttered under her breath seeing Emily stare at her concerning. "Tig is being his normal self." She smiled. "I never figured moving back to Charming, he'd be so damn protective. Growing up we were, always at each other." She laughed at the memories of her very older brother and herself. "But I have a cool sister, or so I claim you as one anyways." She grinned.

Happy looked at Jax and nodded his head. He knew where he was coming from for his cousin. Just the way Tig had done with Jax when him and Roxy began dating. Happy took and finished helping Jax with the vehicle before he went to tune up his bike a little to kill some time.

Emily laughed, "That's Tiggy for you. Jax did the same shit to me whenever I moved back. He damn near killed Juice when he found out we were becoming friends." She grinned over at Roxy, "It's so nice to have you around and not have to go to Aunt Gem for everything all the time."

Jax finished up the car, deciding it would be his last job for the day. He went in the clubhouse to wash up before Roxy and Emily got back. It wasn't often that the club didn't have a lot going on; he wanted to spend as much time with Roxy as he could while they had time.

Roxy smiled at Emily and nodded, "I'm glad that I can help when I can." She told Emily and smiled. She took and saw her phone flash up and read the message. "Good lord." She muttered ignoring her brother was the best idea right now.

Finishing up Happy decided on cleaning up. Maybe he would consider asking Emily out for a drink or some food. Something along the lines like that. See where it went. He took and finished cleaning up as he went out and sat on the picnic table waiting on her to get back.

Emily chuckled, "it's almost as if we go out by ourselves we have to check in like we are teenagers." She looked down, trying to decide if her polish was dry or not yet. "We can't even be left alone for forty five minutes."

Jax followed Happy outside. He sat down next to him and pulled out a pack of cigarettes. He offered him one as he put one is his mouth and lit it. He tool a long draw and exhaled. "It's nice to have some down time."

Giggling at Emily's comment she nodded her head, "That is true though." She replied to her and smiled satisfied with her nail design. "This is gorgeous." She smiled as she got up paid for both their sessions. She smiled as she went outside waiting on Emily. She got her a cigarette and lit it up letting a long drag off of it.

Nodding his head he smiled at Jax, "Yeah it really is." He said to him as he laid back into the table smoking on the cigarette. "No crazy shit just calmness for once in a long time."

Emily reached over and plucked the cigarette from Roxy's hand, taking a small puff and returning it to her. She ran a hand through her blonde hair and smiled. "Thanks for taking me out," she smiled. "This was really nice." She rubbed her abdomen as her stomach growled. "I'm thinking of making lunch for everyone when we get back. I am starving."

Jax nodded as he stubbed the cigarette out, turning the butt over in his fingers before flicking it. He sighed, "Sure it won't be long before some shit goes down," he smirked. "This," he waved his finger around, "This calm never lasts very long around here."

Roxy smiled tossing the cigarette down and stomping on it. She smiled at Emily, "It was nice and I am glad that I had today to share with you." She smiled at her. "That sounds like a plan. I'll help out cause I am starving too." Roxy smiled at her heading to the car and getting to head back to Teller-Morrow.

Laughing he nodded his head, "Something's going to go down big time for it being so calm." He said to Jax. "Calm before the storm." He chuckled lightly as he took and smiled at Jax. "So when are you and Rox going to take and do your vows?" He grinned wiggling his eyebrows.

When the pulled up to T.M., Emily's heart dropped as she saw Jax and Happy sitting out side. She waited for Roxy to get out and started making her way over. She smiled at Jax and Happy as she walked passed them to go inside.

Jax laughed, "soon, hopefully. But that's the woman you need to ask right there about that." He pointed at Roxy. "How was your guys time out? You two have fun?" He asked as he got up to give her a proper kiss.

Smiling ear to ear Roxy nodded, "It was fun." She told Jax and gave him the kiss back and smiled at him. "except the fact my brother is an annoying pest." She grinned at him and kissed him one more time as she glanced over seeing Happy disappear inside.

Walking inside behind of Emily he took a deep breath. Happy walked towards where Emily had disappeared, "Emily." Happy said to her. "I was kind of wondering....tonight do you want to go out for dinner or drinks or something?" He said rubbing the back of his neck. He really wasn't good with asking someone out.

Jax smirked at her. He knew just how annoying Tig Trager could be at times. But on the other hand, he knew what it was ike to be protective over family. However, he and Roxy had been an item for sometime and she knew how to handle herself. "Tig always has shit to say and people to annoy. Especially you. What else to you expect?"

Emily furrowed her eye brows, being completely and thoroughly confused by his questions. Sure, she had heard the words that had come out of his mouth, but it was just surprising. She pointed a finger at herself, "Wait, you mean--you want me to go out with you tonight? Did I hear that right?

Roxy chuckled and held to Jax, "That is a good point." She smiled cupping his cheeks. "Have I told you today that I love you Jackson Teller?" She whispered lightly to him before pecking his lips.

Happy took and smiled at her nodding his head, "Yeah, I am." Happy told her.

Jax smiled and innocently crinkled his nose at her. He shook his head and laughed, "Nah, I don't think you have. But I love you too, sweetheart." He gave her another kiss on her lips, and pulled away from her slightly. "Why don't we go out to dinner or something tonight?" He suggested. "I can't remember the last time you and I did something together other than staying at home and watching T.V."

Emily shook her head yes and smiled, trying to not seem too overly excited. She ran a hand through her blonde hair and chewed on her bottom lip. "I mean, yeah. I would like that."
