I'm still in if everyone still is. I'm sorry. Just been busy with uni stuff. But I'm definitely in. And I think I'm gonna change Jasper's bio a bit.

He's adopted. So his new year's resolution is to find his birth parents. Cute But he's still a big mama boy though. Even though he's adopted, that doesn't make his adopted mother's love for him any less. tehe

Yup, still in! I'm just still struggling over what Sean's resolution can be. Maybe to visit home more. Think Or to convince the rest of the group of visit his village for the first time. Oooh, yeah, I think that's his resolution. tehe

Read this on my phone but forgot to reply. Facepalm Still interested!

Okay, so far we have all this planned:
    • All characters are done.
    • All girls live together, all boys live together -- what type of flats do we want? Block of flats where the exterior of the building is all windows and the occasional balcony and their doors are all inside, or where there's like three floors of flats and the doors come out onto a veranda type balcony with outside stairs and all that jazz? And are they being next door/opposite neighbours or do the girls live on one floor and the boy live on the other/they live down the hall.
    • The main thing is that they each had resolutions at the beginning of the year and the story will cover one year where they each strive to achieve that goal.
    • We had some title suggestions but never chose one
    • Still need a summary, layout, all that jazz
    • As we're spanning it over a year, do you think we should work out how many chapters should focus on one month and all that? We don't want to have like ten chapters in January, fourteen in February, etc., otherwise the story will get far too long.

I like them to live somewhere with balcony since Anita would do most of her writing outside. Think Maybe they live in two different buildings but their balconies are facing each other? Just throwing in some suggestions here. tehe

I can make the layout if you guys don't mind. What color schemes do you guys prefer?

I think it's best if each of us write for each month. So there'll be three chapters per month. And roughly, the story will have approximately 36 chapters of content, if we don't wanna include the prologue and epilogue chapters. Think Is that okay? Or since it's only three of us, we can also write it in a way that the first poster writes for January, second poster writes for February, third for March and then repeat the cycle again until December. This way, there'll be like 12 chapters for the whole story and everyone will have to write 4 chapters each. I'm sorry I can't help myself when it comes to Math. Facepalm

My granddad lives in flats like the latter I mentioned (where their front doors open onto an outside balcony that they walk down to reach the stairs) and it's one building that's shaped like a u, so maybe we could do flats like that? If they live at the end of the floor, so they only have one neighbour, they could have a chair sat outside that wouldn't be obstructing the pathway, and the guys could live in the flat opposite. Here's an example -- the balcony things I'm on about and how it looks on the exterior (because there's a courtyard in the middle with several flat blocks dotted around).

That's fine with me! And I don't have a specific colour scheme in mind, just anything that really suits the story, you know? Think

36-ish chapters is generally about the average length of a story on here, so I'm good with that. Doing the 12 chapters only would means we'd kind of have to write really length stuff, right? I do think, as it's set within a year and we need to have a pace, that we need to plan our chapters ahead, just briefly, to get a gist of where we are in the year and such.

I really thought I'd replied to this. Facepalm Apparently I hadn't.

Anyway! I LOVE the flat as show in the picture! In Love

Okay. I'll work on the layout as soon as I can. tehe

36 sounds like a good amount of chapters. tehe I'm afraid if we aim for 12 lengthy chapters, we'll get discouraged when we can't meet the word count (I know I will), so 36 sounds safe. As for the chapters outline... how about this...

    First month:
They're all in a New Years party, just talking about the previous year, reminiscing their regrets and what they wished they'd done. And then they started making a pact, telling each other their resolutions and stuff. And it follows with how they start. Maybe some of them don't start right away, trying to avoid doing something because they're scared of the outcome?

... that's all I can think of. Facepalm

So I read this on my phone and then forgot to reply when I got on my laptop. Facepalm

As it was, 12 chapters sounds risky because that'd be one chapter to document a month for six different characters without having a lot of focus on each of them. So 36-ish sounds perfect.

Oh, wait, are we writing for both our characters or having a main one that we write for and have our other feature? Because then we'll have six chapters per character cycle, which spans two months. Think

tehe That happens to me a lot. More than I care to admit. lmfao

Yes, exactly! And I don't want us to rush things because from our general discussion, a lot will happen to our characters and 12 chapters won't be enough to show their growth in the course of that one year.

I'm sorry I'm a bit lost there. lmfao What do you mean it spans for two months?

Well, we're having three chapters per month, right? So six chapters would be two months.
