Valerie had been late to class, of course, after her alarm clock hadn't gone off. But one of her sisters from the sorority, her closest friend, had woken her up and told her the time. She'd hurried to get dressed, knowing she didn't have time to shower, put her hair up into a bun, and headed to class. Now that she was here, all the seats were filled and there was only one left, up front. She pouted slightly, but walked up anyways, sitting down next to a girl who was completely invested in her phone. She looked like the complete opposite of Valerie, and she kind of hoped that the two of them wouldn't end up partners. She tended not to work well with people who weren't really like her because they just didn't understand her at all.
