It still hurt Frank, to think about what Karen said to him. The entire trial, she'd been there for him. She'd reminded him what was important. He thought she understood what he was going through, and why he was doing what he was doing. It was a hard pill for anyone to swallow, he got that. Not everyone was going to agree with him... He just hadn't expected Karen to be the one to turn her back on him. Frank had put a lot of faith in her throughout. All of it felt shattered now. Yet thoughts of her still clouded him. Every time he felt his finger twitch against the trigger, he could still hear her.
"You still ain't answerin' my question..." He muttered, pausing as he pressed his tongue to the inside of his lip. "Why are you looking for me?"
Seeing Karen was stirring up a lot of confusing feelings for him. She made him want to stay, but she was never going to convince him to stop. The longer he stood around, the harder it was going to be for him to leave her again.
