A Sticky Situation

Tyler sighed as he sat in the apartment that he shared with McKenna. Things had been good on and off for them, but it felt like a constant battle almost. He was sitting down watching some TV show. His mind wasn't focused on the TV show though, it was wrapped around the small argument that took place this morning. They hadn't really talked much since the fight, and he wasn't sure if they were going to talk again. Lately their arguments had been caught up in just about anything life through at them, and now he couldn't help but wonder what else could creep into their lives and mess with their relationship.

Kylie smiled as she spoke with a couple of her bartenders, telling them to double stock on everything. She had a feeling tonight was going to be a busy night, and she wanted to make sure everything was good. Once she saw that all was good, Kylie went around making sure that the customers were having a good time. Her club was a good mixture of young people and older people - class yet modern. She had her long dark hair down and straightened, while rocking a black mini strapless dress with black heels. She smiled as she walked around the club before going back to the bar, and helping wherever it was needed.

Mckenna had just walked home from work, she left early not feeling well at all. She walked into the apartment, seeing Tyler watching tv, a small pain rippled through her chest as she thought about their constant fighting. "Hi." She said softly and looked at him. "I'm just gonna grab some stuff and I'll stay at Abby's." She said, referring to her best friend.

Jack has just gotten out of a long case at work, he had won the case though. Jack was an adoption lawyer, and he really enjoyed his job. He got in his car, and headed over to the club that his younger girlfriend owned, just to stop in for a quick drink. He walked up to the bar and smiled widely at her. "Hey pretty lady, can I get a drink?"

Tyler looked at her when she walked into the house. He couldn't help but frown a little when she said she was going over to a friend's house. He just nodded, rolled his eyes, and went back to watching tv. He was truly not in the mood to fight today. "Do whatever you want." He finally spoke to her.

Kylie smiled when she heard a certain man's voice. "Of course Sir." She spoke sweetly as she poured him his favorite drink. She walked over to him and handed it to him before reaching over and kissing him on the lips quickly. "How was your day?" She asked softly.

Mckenna went into their bedroom and shut the door, she started packing some things, not knowing how long she would be at her friends. She hadn't really noticed she was so upset about the whole situation with Tyler until she felt warm tears streaming down her face. She wanted nothing more than to just be with her boyfriend. She took a deep breath and tried to pull herself together. She walked into the living room, tears coming to her eyes again. "Can we put this fight on pause?" She asked softly.

Jack loved seeing her so happy with her work. He kissed her back and leaned against the bar. "Pretty good, it was a tough case but we won." He said and took a drink of the drink. "How about you? Are you working late tonight, or is Joe gonna close the place down?" He asked wanting to just go home and spend some time with her.

Tyler looked at her when she walked back into the room again. "Put the fight on pause...seriously?!?" He commented. He turned off the tv before looking to her again. "how is that going to help anything? Why don't we just tak this stuff out?" He asked. He really wanted to work things out with her, but didn't want to put the fight on pause.

Kylie smiled as she pulled back from him, but stayed standing in front of him. "Well I was going to work late. However, I can have Joe close tonight since no one called out and everything is going good." She smiled, knowing Jack would probably be happy about that. "Just let me know when you want to go."

Makenna took a deep breath and sat next to him on the couch. "I know we need to talk it all out." She said softly. "I'm just not feeling well and I miss you, we haven't talked or cuddled or even slept in the same bed in almost a week." She added and looked up at him. "I just don't want you to give up on me." She said as tears poured from her eyes.

Jack smiled at her. "Well we can't let a pretty little outfit like that go to waste. Let me take you to a nice dinner." He said and took another sip of his drink. "We can go anywhere you want." He added.

Tyler looked at her and frowned a little. Give up on her...how was that even possible. Quickly turning the tv off, he got up from the couch and walked over to her. 'McKenna I could never give up on you. I just hate that we're constantly fighting over something. I don't want to lose you, but I don't want to fight with you all the time either." He spoke being truthful with her.

Kylie smiled at Jack's idea on dinner and just spending time together. She smiled as she thought about that idea, allowing it to play out in her head. Quickly fixing a drink for a customer, Kylie handed it to the gentleman that walked up beside Jack. She smiled her sweet smile to him before bringing her attention back to Jack. "Let's get out of here. Joe has it from here until closing." She smiled as she went to grab her purse that she had hidden.

(I would have replied sooner but I went to sleep then I was working.)

McKenna looked him in the eyes, swallowing hard. "Tyler, there's something I have to tell you." She said and took a deep breath. "I love you so much, and we do fight a lot, but I-I'm pregnant." She said softly.

Jack grinned and took her arm, walking her outside. "Where would you like to go for dinner, beautiful?" He asked and opened the car door for her. "Maybe sushi?"

(Sorry been at work all day. And I'm on my phone, sorry they are short!)

(All is well, I've been working extra hours, so I totally understand.)

Tyler's eyes instantly widened when she said those two words -- I'm pregnant. He stayed quiet for a couple of minutes trying to wrap that idea in his head. He registered what she said, it just shocked him a little over it. "Y-Y-You're pregnant?" He breathed as he stared at her. Seeing the various emotions going through her, Tyler could easy tell that McKenna was a little unsettled about this as well as worried. Getting up from the couch, he walked over to her and just held her. "It's going to be okay." He spoke as he held her. "We'll be okay. We'll figure this out." He then kissed the top of her head. "I promise."

Kylie slipped her arm around Jack's as they made their way to the exit. When he asked her what she wanted for dinner, she had to take a minute to think on that. What did she want? Looking at him, Kylie smiled before shrugging. "I really don't know." She told him before sliding into the car. "What about you? What are you in the mood for?" She asked.

Mckenna felt her small body melt in his arms, she missed him so much. "I-I don't want to fight, I just want to be with you." She murmured. "Would it be okay if I didn't go to Abby's and we just stayed together tonight?" She asked him, looking up at him.

Jack smirked and opened her car door for her. "Well to be quite honest I'm in the mood for you." He teased and shut her door before getting in on his side. "How about sushi?"

Tyler held onto her and shook his head. "Nope, you don't need to go anywhere." He spoke softly. "You're staying here." He whispered and kissed her lips softly on the lips. He didn't say anything else as he held her and kissed her softly on the lips once more. "I love you McKenna." He said as he pressed his lips to her neck this time.

Kylie blushed a little at his honest comment. She laughed lightly before putting her seatbelt on. When he asked about sushi, she laughed a little and said "That's fine." She spoke with a smile. She reached over and kissed him one more time. "I love you." She whispered before pulling back to read a text from Joe. "I haven't even left the parking lot and he's texting me."
