I am horrendous for not judging this before now, apologies. I've now read the two entries that were submitted, and made a decision:

First Place: Hiwagang Hapis by hiwagang hapis
Second Place: Old Jack by phantomatthewindow

It was extremely close between the two, and there was very few to separate the entries. I'd like to thank you both for writing such wonderful pieces! I'll send out PMs shortly regarding prizes.
