Thought I'd jump in the conversation. I'm unfortunately unemployed, but on ESA due to my PTSD, but I'm also heavily asthmatic. So I'm in the risk group when it comes to Covid-19. I'm really fucking anxious and although the UK is in lockdown, people like my gran are still going out?? I don't understand it. I wish they'd stop. I really do. They don't seem to grasp just how badly we need them to stay inside. If I need anything, the fiance goes out and g ets it. Prescriptions, medicines, food, juice, the lot. He's at lower risk, but he still takes precautions.

My uncle Jim unfortunately is showing symtpoms and he has most likely caught the virus as he worked in a food hub with kids. He's on inhalers etc. And my aunt Catherine needs to keep an eye on him, just in case he gets worse seeing as you won't get tested unless you're hospitalised and have an underlying condition. It's all bullshit. People complaining about a three week UK lockdown are the same people who were filling the parks the day before and saying "oh it's fine we won't catch it," when they will. It's just tits up.

It's gonna last a lot longer and I ended up being sick last night due to my anxiety over the whole situation and my uncle. I just hope it calms down, but it'll be prolonged because people don't bloody listen.

I'm sorry to hear that. I know they're changing a lot of things with the unemployment so maybe you'll be able to apply with the changes... and maybe they'll actually pass the stimulus package.

As long as people keep up social distancing the curve will flatter and it'll stop spreading. People like your gran are the people who are going to keep spreading it and she should be afraid since she's in that "at risk" demographic.

Well, my boss had called me today and told me that my hours would be reduced to 21 hours once I start working again next month and the remainder of the hours that I lost would be made up with unemployment. So it looks like things will be okay.

I heard that the stimulus package was for people that filed for taxes in 2018. I never filed because I wasn't working that year so I hope that doesn't affect me. I desperately need the money for bills and car repairs!

Im glad it wont effect you as badly then. I'm waoting to hear more details on the rideshare portion of the unemployment package. Hopefully it'll work out good and he can get unemployment.

From my understanding: they'll consider your 2019 taxes too if you filed.

Honestly, I don't understand why she was still goes out. We've been phoning her to make sure she isn't going out and luckily, she's staying in. We had to drill it into her head, especially when she was not long out of hospital. Honestly, it just drives me insane. But hopefully the curve will flatten out sooner rather than later and people adhere to social distancing like you said. Just gotta keep our hopes up on that.

To lighten the mood a little, though, I had to pop out for essential things today, y'know, food & medicines, and on my way back, I seen some of my neighbours kids had put rainbow drawings on the windows & putting notes like "stay safe" and "we're in this together" and it was honestly the cutest thing I've seen and it made me feel a little better about this whole situation. Although, when the Clap for the NHS thing was happening, I had no idea and leaned out my window and everyone was doing it. I just remembered looking at my neighbour and going, "what's going on?" And she just went "some kind of clap?" and just clapped her hands and I genuinely couldn't stop laughing. It's nice to know people are keeping their spirits up regardless.

My fiance broke my laptop. Obviously, it was an accident but just as i was getting into Mibba and writing again.

I'm gonna buy a cheap tv off of Facebook or letgo and turn my lappy into a desktop. Hopefully by the end of the week.

Oh sweet god, that happened to me not long back, except it was my dad. He was fitting my new washing machine into my flat and they had to move my microwave. I look away for two seconds, it's placed on the top of the couch and bam, it rolls and lands on my laptop and was smashed on the screen. Hopefully you can get a wee TV or monitor then, I done that with my old laptop and used a long ass HDMI cable and god, it was a pain, but done the job.

would love to do a cowrite if anyone is still active!
